It was late. Too late. The moon was hanging in the sky, its silver slivers reflecting only a fraction of the light. That light came filtered in through the windows, blinds left drawn by disgruntled nurses. Ah those nurses, long ago gone home save for the pair on the latest shift. But those were the bottom of the barrel nurses. The worst kind money could buy. One was wrapped around on the phone, trapped in an unending conversation about the buckled straps of some pair of shoes that she vastly over paid for. The other, oh the other was coming out of the janitor's closet, her patient though not boyfriend followed suit, adjusting her shirt and funny hat. We go far from there though, to the setting of this story. To a young girl named Yukiko. She had been in a fight earlier, one that started in a mental plane far beyond the comprehension of sane beings, one that took its toll on her physically as well. She had at least three broken ribs, bruises and lacerations up and down her body, she had more bandages then any being coming out of surgery. The girl looked up and over her shoulder to the IV that steadily filled her body with fluids needed to survive. Her eyes fell back onto her own beaten body, the lids too heavy to stay open, slowly, all too slowly, she closed her eyes and drifted to sleep. He could be heard long before he could be seen. He took no attempts at subtlety or quiet. He simply walked, bright white coat draped over his shoulders. It was still shining white, perfect save for the stench of death and antiseptic that clung to it. On close inspection one could see the red splatters of blood work that clung to the edges and fringes of the coat. But they werent important, this was about the figure that wore the stolen coat with impunity. The man strode forward to young Yukiko's bed. With one clammy hand he pressed against her mouth, muffling the sound that he knew would soon be coming. With his other hand he pinched the IV, robbing her of the fluids she needed. The sudden lack of liquid caused Yukiko's eyes to spring open, her mouth trying to scream only to be caught in the scent of death. She looked up to the gleaming face that would certainly be her death. "Ah, pretty pretty Yukiko. You saw things didnt you. Saw horrible truths. We cant have you walking around knowing what you know dear. So I'm afraid I have to burst open your skin, drink your delicious water...break your flesh and meat. Oh dont worry, I wont take advantage of those organs you most fear my touch. I'm afraid the female vagina holds no interest for me any longer. Human sexuality is so...very confining." His hand flicked, the IV cord tearing out of the poor girl's arm, the liquid steaming and flailing on the floor. That free hand reached across and stroked the few strands of auburn hair away from her face with a gentle touch. Sadly it would be the only thing gentle this entire evening. That smile, that bastard gave her a gleaming smile showing off long fangs. "And when you meet your god, you can tell it that Kaie sent you there, as I will send his other servants." The monster of a man had a name. Yukiko was no precious flower, she did what she could, the only thing that made sense for her to escape. She bit down hard on the hand over her mouth, bit down harder then ever before. Her arms flying upwards jamming into the monster's arms bringing his body to the most awkward angle. The dead flesh was still clinging to her teeth as the man's arm was flung away, the precious blood falling down. Yukiko wasted no time. She ran. She ran as the monster's echoing laughter filled the empty halls. He followed slowly, the click of his boots on the tile floor coming slowly after her. She was screaming for anyone to pay attention, anyone to help. She ran to the janitor's closet where the love birds had been. Slamming it open as their romantic meetings was well known. Poor Yukiko. She was met with not help, but entrails, the dead flesh strewed about across the inside, the skin peeled back and left to dry, and the heads hanging down, open mouthed screaming eternally in a dead embrace. "G...god...no...no..." She ran, not bothering to remove the entrails or portions of lost body from her person as she moved with the frenzy found at no other time. She ran for the receptionist desk. The soles of her feet slick now with blood, she slipped and fell to her back. She slid and hit the tiny desk feet first, folding up. It took all her strength to stand up, to reach over the desk to see the nurse that should be there, that was always there. Blood and corpses. This lazy nurse was there, her head removed and placed on the desk, her eyes and mouth filled with penis, pencils and other office supplies. Her body was sitting there, perfect, immaculate waiting in the chair. Yukiko's hands flew for the phone, hoping to at least alert someone, anyone of her problem. Of course the phone was out. Of course the cell phone of the nurse was nothing but a hollow shell. False hope made it all so much sweeter. Yukiko hunched over, the tears streaming down her cheeks. She was scared, no, scared didnt describe what was going through her. This was pure, unadulterated terror. The kind of terror that came only with the realization that you were soon going to die. She felt the pricks, the tiny pricks of another against her flesh. Her eyes went wide as a firm grasp took her head by the hair and held her steady. The face came next. The grotesque monstrous face that belonged to Kaie. Fangs extended, teeth barred, he looked more animal then man. "Dont be afraid dear one. The pain will go on, but you will get used to the never ending pain. You will learn to yearn for it, to wish for more. This is me granting the gift of pain, before you ever know." The tongue flicked out from between those teeth, rubbing against her cheek sliding upwards. The grating and slop as his saliva left a trail up to her eyeball. His tongue poking, prodding deep into the little gem that provided sight. Kaie leaned back, his hand falling down to her waist, scampering up her spine, down it again. It waited, just above her waist, his fingers going ridged as Yukiko forced words from her mouth. "Please...I...I wont tell anyone...just let me go." The reply she got, was one of the physical. A fast quick hand dug into her tender flesh, running to the bone where it twisted and pulled. Yukiko fell to the ground, her legs no longer of any use. Her blood flooding out of her body as the edge tail of her spine fell hard against the cold linoleum floor. "It doesnt matter. You poor creature. Giving yourself to Ghatanothoa was your mistake dear child. Dont worry, your blood is of no use. Just your pain." Kaie's smile grew wider, reflecting in the pale moonlight, that was all that could be seen. His hand came down swiftly next. Falling just beneath the girl's chin. He lifted the tiny head, the precious head with the special hair up to the moonlight, a trophy to his deed. Oh he wouldnt keep it, he had other plans, other ideas. "Mmm...even in death you show a face of pure perfection my dear." |

"Stop right there, nightwalker." The voice said as cold steel was pressed against the flesh of the vampires shoulder. Masashi's voice was cold, full of malice, his teeth grit as he had viewed his display of amusement and lack of care for her fear. He had heard Kaie's laughter from outside the window as he had been passing by the hospital. Needless to say, the scrambling sounds of a struggle that fallowed clued him off even more that something was very much amiss. He dashed inside, trying to navigate the new building, fallowing the sounds of distress made by the girl being chased... He had been late... "...Bastard. I don't care who you were in life, mor who you are now. Your deeds here have been atrocious and evil, for that I will see you punished!" He raised his large blade high into the air, hoping to slice the white coated Kaie in two. (not much but im pressed for time) |

It came up quickly. His arm flashed out, the glint of surgical steel shining in the moonlight. It was a scalpel, a stolen piece of surgical equipment that was pressed up against the sword far off in its swing, to keep it from connecting with his dead flesh. Kaie was smiling like a madman, finally, though the moment of pleasure was long past, he could take some enjoyment by torturing a new face. It had taken a bit longer then expected for a do gooder to arrive, someone that would stand up and try to help the unfairly made dead. First came the head, turning around the shoulder to face the new attacker. But the monster turned and twisted, until he was face to face with Masashi. There didnt look like much about this one. An older gentleman obviously, and clearly a sword user. Now if only Kaie had brought his coffin along, there wouldnt be time for a fight. But alas, the taste of fear came at a price. But oh how sweet it was, entirely worth the work and triumph. Of course he would make this one scream. This swords man. "Now now, cant you tell? I'm a doctor young man. The only doctor you'll ever need." With the free hand the dead beast reached into a pocket of the stolen coat and removed a thin syringe filled with some unknown liquid. Really, if you were a cruel monster and wanted to torture someone, it was much much more fun to inject them with a completely random substance, just to see how they react. For all Kaie knew the device was filled with nothing but adrenaline, or even some form of synthetic AIDS. His tongue flicked out, embracing the needle, licking it and covering it with his saliva. "I have no idea whats in this little syringe, dont you worry though. There will only be a few minutes of pain, then I'll end your life." Kaie's arm lunged forward. Plunging the syringe towards Masashi's chest. It was a cold, sad action. |

Masashi's teeth grit as his sword was parried and missed the vampire entirely and crashed into the floor with a loud clunk, the heavy and very sharp blade sinking into the floor. The man cursed, his sword was stuck, and this mad vampire...his eye widened as the creature turned to look at him. That face...so familiar! where had he seen him before? No, this wasn't the time for distractions! He jumped back, reaching to the sheath in his hip and producing his second sword, the blade on this one not as long, but just as thick, and just as sharp. The metal glinted angrily in the light of the pale moon. He sized up the situation as Kaie came at him with the syringe, he took a quick breath and flung his at the monsters hand, knocking the syringe out of it, in the next move he grabbed Kaie by his hair, tossing him head first across the room into a shelf of medical supples. "Your fast, and strong, but your lust for blood and pain makes you sloppy and unfocused, therefore predictable." Masashi said, a cold smirk crossing his lips. "Am I supposed to be scared, now?" |

"Scared? Oh you will be scared. You will learn what fear really means." The monster stood up after being thrown, he had let it happen. After all he needed a bit of a distance to do things right. Letting the human, yes it was human, species and specifics be damned, but letting it think it was in charge, letting it throw him, set him free from the attacks. It was almost too easy. Kaie stood up, his gleaming eyes slowing, his grin growing low and covering his teeth. "Hehehehe, I've been such a naughty boy you know. Are you here to punish me? Or perhaps you...you're the naughty boy. Do you want to be...punished?" He laughed. Oh how he laughed. Being tossed into a pile of medical supplies meant very little to him. It wasnt painful, he could take no fear even from used medical waste. What was a dear vampire to do? He was fighting a swordsman, without a proper weapon himself. His coffin quite a distance away, with all its little goodies and treats. But it was only that far away from more humans. More tastey treats that would no doubt slow this goodie goodie down. Fighting him on this floor was obviously a bad idea, at least...for now. Kaie just had to get to the floors weakspot not to far away on the other side of Masashi. Yes, that would be the easiest way to the floor below. But the foe had a weapon, and Kaie had but a scalpel that was stolen. Kaie slid the scalpel into his mouth, holding it between his teeth, sideways, facing the left. Glinting in the night. What he did next probably made the least sense. He made a weapon out of a hospital bed. He just...tore the damn thing out, ran towards Masashi and started swinging. A hospital bed. Dammit, if it was at least a fridge we could make proper jokes, but a hospital bed...gah. |

Masashi stood still sword ready at his side. This crazed nightwalker got on his nerves. "Hmph...I'm deserving of punishment, but not from you." He said, as Kaie began to tear the bed out of the wall, it seems he'd need his bigger sword for this. He quickly sheathed Po Sin and dashed back, grabbing the handle of the stuck-in-the-floor Seven Brothers sword. With a loud growl and a great heave he pulled it out, chunks of the floor going with it. He turned around quickly and swung with all his might, his sword meeting oncoming hospital bed with a loud clang as the sharp edge dug into the metal of the frame. " "You think you have me licked...but I'll warn you not to under estimate me." He hissed as he stared down Kaie, being pushed back slightly as they strained against eachother. His eye widened again as he saw Kaie's face right infront of him, realizing he had seen him before... "You...your the one Tateo tried to save." He said, focus being betrayed by anger. "You caused him many thoughts of unrest." He didnt want to make this personal, but it was too late. "You'll laugh your last tonight." He strained ever harder to ward off Kaies bed-assault, letting one hand let go of the massive sword, and with that hand he unsheathed Po Sin again, slashing at Kaies midsection. |

Wonder what the scalpel was for? Well, while the bed and the big sword were locked in a disturbing duel of nonsensical proportions. Thanks to this being a meta hospital, the metal in the bed was of a much, much higher quality then one would expect. But as that happened the duel wielding began, and while Kaie needed both his arms to handle the labor of the bed, he was being attacked across his midsection. So of course he bent his body to a needless angle, the scalpel in his mouth going in to block the second sword. Kaie held like that for a second, grinning between the blades. He rolled then, pushing off with his feet he rolled through the air with an inhuman grace and power. Landing not to far behind Masashi, the bed still in hand. It took him a moment, to remove the scalpel, and slide it into one of his coat pockets. That darling labcoat was coming in handy so often during this little event. "Tateo? That fool priest?" Kaie was talking, his back to the swordsman, not a very good idea, but it would work for the moment. "Kekekekeke, my dear brother didnt have enough brains to tell shit from shinola. I hear he wasnt even man enough for his wife...such a submissive and delicate flower he was." Okay, that was mostly lies. But we are talking about a monster who just walked in and killed and assload of people, did you expect him to speak only the truth? "You seem to have me at a disadvantage my friend...let me even the playing field." He raised the bed high into the air, brining it down on the floor with all his undead might. And it worked. The floor there cracked and ruptured. That floor shaked and quaked, tremors and cracks reaching forth as more sections began to fall in. Kaie of course, was already down the hole. Lost in the lower level's shade and dust. It was there that he would find his coffin, and more. There were still living souls on the level beneath, and that was the true measure of his powers. "Come come little boy...lots of girls here, they deserve punishment too...perhaps we can tie you to a bed, and let them have their way with you." Kaie's echoing voice went up to the floor above, goading the swordsman on. |

A hasty escape, of course. After so many duals on the road, he had forgotten what fighting monsters was like. Fair play was lost with them. Masashi grit his teeth, he wouldn't let this creature badmouth Teo, no matter if Kaie was supposed to be his...aw that sucked. "Fallow you down the rabbit hole, eh white rabbit?" He called down, "Touch any more of the people in this hospital and I'll tie YOU to a bed and wait for sunrise." With that he slung the large sword over his shoulder, sheathed the smaller sword, and jumped into the hole Kaie had made, descending to the floor below, dust scattering as he landed. "So...'brother'...you going to stop running? Or do I need to chop off those cowardly legs of yours?" He said as he stood, taking the sword off his shoulder and gripping it tightly in both hands. |

Pain. Suffering. Fear. Dread. Pain. More Pain. Then... death. Nothing came from dead bodies. No emotion, although they were fresh, so still had a little warmth, but Issac wasn't going to try that theory. A severed head, a girl's body with a hole in the lower back. Dismembered spinal chord discarded with impunity, slick on the linoleum floor. It took a lot of control to stop himself from throwing up in disgust. And the [/I]smell[/I]. Someone had the stench of death about him. Issac didn't care. Something was here, and they weren't going to get out of here animated. He had come here for the regular check up, seeing as he'd broken his ribs a few times... and in a few places. That really wasn't good for his body, but this wasn't, either. A wakizashi slowly slid out of its sheath as Issac followed the only emotional track that was still alive. It lead to a hole, and obviously was very, very angry. Not good, not good at all. A voice echoed through the hospital, and Issac knew where he was going. Down, down below. He dashed to the hole, and checked it with his six senses. Ground was freshly pounded into a fine dust, and he ducked down and dropped into the lower levels. They just built this place... and had just moved in a new staff... damn this demon. Eyes adjusting to the new scenario, Issac felt that there were more people around him. Seemed like his senses hadn't really gone through the floor: they were so overpowered by the residual emotions left by the dead above. Thinking carefully, he pulled out a knife, the heavy steel didn't glint in this light. He wanted stealth, to a measure. Not flashy sword wielding tonight. Faint lightning crackled up his arm, and Issac thought about his latest power. Not needed, not now. There was a man, swordsman. Just like himself. Issac felt around. He had met the monster in combat upstairs. "Hey. I'm here, we fight the same way." That was all that was needed to be said. Issac's wakizashi hung loosely at his side. His burning red eyes hunted for the demon. The blade was brought up and Issac pointed out a doorway. Kaie was quite a while away. But there were more people here, and that wasn't good. This place was built solid, like a nuke bunker, it seemed. There was more hospital downstairs than up. "He's this way." |

It came not with a roar, not with threats, but with the screech, the grind as the linoleum over concrete floor were slowly split apart as a heavy object tore them about. Of course the screech resounded even up the hole, all through the building, but it covered the foot steps of the monster the swordsmen were after. A single swinging bulb in the corner, formerly a full ceiling florescent that had been pulled from its socket and left to swing, to dangle across, flashed the ghostly visage of Kaie. He still wore the bloody labcoat around his shoulders, but that wasnt the interesting part. No, the portion that split the floor was a large black object, a coffin. His coffin. "Kekekekeke, two little boys come to play hero. Come come come down the hole you use for rabbits." His fangs were barred, showing over the rest of his teeth in a wicked gleaming smile. The coffin behind him, one that clung to him by a long metal chain wrapped around his arm, was not an item for slumber. It had been made by the master weapon smith Seran Hellsing, and as her proudest achievement, had received the name of her business as a gift. The faith no more was a box of death, made of a metal unknown to most humanity, the black surface was all but unbreakable, unchippable, and always cold to the touch. No matter what flames licked and embraced it, the coffin would return a frosty kiss. "Ah but if you're here to play hero, knights in shining armor, then I must be the dragon, the monster, the beast. Where oh where is a fair maiden for your affections?" If you didnt know where he was going with this, you certainly didnt know Kaie. He shifted his weight, his coffin swinging out, the chain on the other side that would normally be wrapped around his other arm lashed out into the darkness. With a simple tug he returned it from its trip to the abyss, and this time it brought along a young nurse, who was torn across the ground, landing at the vampire's feet. He held the girl up, brought her to her full height. She was young, pretty, even by AHS standards, with eyes that screamed the name cerulean and a chest that could help any man survive at sea. But Kaie didnt see that, sure his hand fell upon her bosom, sliding into her uniform as his face breathed its cold dead air onto her face and his tongue fell across her cheek. Her eyes went wide in terror. This of course being the essence of a nightmare. "Kekekeke, dragons eat the fair maidens dont they my dear? Tell those good boys that this dragon will only get hungrier." He pressed his fangs against her neck, not enough to pierce and puncture, but bring pressure and more fear. She screamed out in the night to the swordsmen who could help her. |

"But the dragons usually die in the old stories, monster." Masashi called out into the darkness, matching his adoptive sibling's boast. Showing fear would only give Kaie what he wanted. He couldn't move fast enough to make a move yet, he turned to the boy who had shown up just a moment before, undoubtedly by looking at him in the dim light, the boys style had room for a lot more speed and maneuverability. "Alright friend, whoever you are, we need to think quick, you need to get him away from that girl, then we can attack him without worry." He stroked his beard as he spoke, he'd need to shave after this. "Quickly now, waste not a second! I'll fallow you." |

Noise, more unbearable than the sound generated by emotional tension. He had heard it before, when two of the higher class fighters of the school prepared to meet each other in battle. The sound had been deafening, and now it had an equal, maybe something that surpassed it. Among that noise, there was another noise. The speech of the monster, his words teasing, goading. Yeah, lets dance, then. A black coffin, how appropriate. The metal looked vaguely familiar, but nonetheless, Issac had to deal with that. It probably would be a very hard bludgeon, and he needed to find a way of being able to disable that as a weapon. Oh, the chain was also going to be a very, very big problem for him. That thing almost looked alive, and Issac didn't have a single doubt that it was in hands that knew how to use it well. Then there was a sudden chill as he drew an analogy that Issac didn't like the sound of. Suddenly, it became apparent what he was suggesting. Before he could act, however, a woman was at his feet, then in his arms. She was more than attractive, but past that, she was a hostage. Damn him. Issac was a dirty fighter, sure, but... using hostages was just evil. He didn't want to know what she was thinking right now. But her emotions were a mess. Mr. Evil here started to physically exploit her body in front of them, and Issac almost vomited in disgust. This wasn't a show no more, and his wakizashi was pulled closer to his chest. The well endowed nurse's face was enough to make him want to kill Kaie, not to mention the massacre upstairs. The scream pierced through the room, and Issac strained to keep himself from charging in. "Drop her, now." It was past words, but why not try? It was much better to be in the hands of a bad guy, in his opinion. He would either kill you fast, or delay it long enough for another person to step in. Either way, a good guy would just slit your throat and be shooting up your buddies without a second thought. Issac's sword silently hung in the air, ready for the hesitation, the break in attention. He hoped to whatever deities existed, and prayed that this guy would make a mistake. Masashi called out to him, gave him a plan. "Right..." Issac feinted left, but walked to his right. Hopefully the other swordsman would get the message and move where he wasn't surrounding Kaie and then... bang. A knife flew out of the gloom, thrown by a practiced hand. Issac had practically summoned the weapon, the short, six inch sliver of steel dropping out of his sleeve and into his waiting hand. The wakizashi flashed into his other arm, and Issac hurled. Hopefully it would startle the monster enough for him to get close. If he got lucky, it might end things here and now. |

Commands? Threats? Mmmhmm, these certainly were AHS students. When someone else is holding all the cards, they go right there swords drawn making demands. It only made the monster smile. It had been so long since he had a proper challenge, since his coffin was needed, since he buried his blade into swore tender flesh that put up a wild fight. No, for far too long he had merely had victims, like above, victims who were bent to his whim and tossed asunder. These were proper challenges, beings that had danger and intent to kill within their eyes. The blade went by, uncared for. Simply eyeballing it the monster knew the tiny thing wouldnt hit him. An unfortunate talent you picked up when people throw things at you often enough. So the little creature didnt move. Though the others were approaching him too quickly. Hmm. There wasnt enough time for him to draw his own sword out of his coffin, he had to scare them, to slow them down. There was one way he could do that, one little task that could give him the time, provided he could continue to aggravate the humans. The long, cold hands held onto the girl's flesh tighter. The index and thumb rubbing together over one portion. One single hardened point got quite a bit of friction. The girl moaned out, partially in fear and partially of arousal. It was done to make her body ridged, to keep her from trying to escape for this brief moment when his other hand was elsewhere occupied. It found it, a subtle notch that his fingers had become all too familiar with over its time being owned. This of course gave him a particular satisfaction. "Tricky arent you. But you dont get to save the girl by being just tricky or quick." One end of the coffin erupted, spewing a hail of bullets towards Issac. It came for only a few seconds, waving back and forth, filling the air with enough hot lead that though the boy would almost certainly avoid death, he wouldnt be approaching Kaie for a little bit longer. Oh, the vampire needed that little extra time. If just for what he planned with the nurse. "Perhaps the young lady here should get more comfortable. I think these two deserve to see what they're fighting for." His fingers rasped and took a firm hold of the top of her uniform. A quick tug and the entire thing ripped, falling to the ground. Leaving the girl topless, her bra being nothing but shreds as well. Then he pushed her forward less then half a foot, as she covered herself instinctibly with her arms. Kaie took the next approach, his hands hooking into her skirt and snapping it off her frame like the top. Yes, in only a few brief moments the girl became nothing but naked. He kicked her down, the girl falling to her hands and knees, letting herself be nothing but exposed by the mad vampire. He just got so much pleasure from others pain and embarrassment. The fear she felt, being forced naked by a monster beneath a single swinging light bulb. Of course the monster planned to fight properly, swinging a coffin around just wouldnt do it in stabbing fight. Kaie's fingers reached across the black surface until it came across another little clasp, undetectable unless you knew what you were looking for. The coffin hissed and opened up a portion, revealing a handle. It was a sword, a broken old sword that dripped blood as he removed it from its case. "Well then...come play hero." He pressed it up against the naked girl's back, his boot finding a place on her ass. His heel ground into her flesh and pushed her down, her knees scrapped against the rough floor, dripping blood at awkward places. He was a monster after all. |

Masashi grit his teeth as he moved forward, moving in a direction opposite of issac, he came up on the vampires other side. "She's suffered enough, your fight is with us, vampire!" He said stopping in front of Kaie, his rough handling of the girl nearly too much to bear. He seethed outwardly as the naked girl knelt to the floor. Masashi again attempted in vain to calm himself, scumming to rage wouldn't save this girl. "We need to get closer." He called to Issac, and rushed in, having the girl in a low down position gave Masashi a chance to strike high. He gave a strong horizontal swing at Kaie, he probably couldnt break the coffin, but he'd knock the fucker off his undead feet. |

Bullets, oh great... Issac dove to the floor, a knife hissing through the air as it flew to the source of the gunfire. Of course, it was smashed out of the air, now just a pitted chunk of steel, indistinguishable from the rest of the carnage around them. He brought himself back up, and grabbed the wakizashi from off the floor. Standing again, another knife was brought out of its hiding place, and red lightning began to crackle around his arm. Issac shouted out, and he almost attacked. But not yet, he needed to regain his balance. "I'm fighting to cut off your head, bastard!" This monster had cut off many things, the least of which were human heads. Issac drew his katana, but stopped as the nurse was turned into a plaything. He gritted his teeth as the nurse was violated in front of his eyes. It was too much already when he brought her up to him as a hostage, but now this? While he might have enjoyed the show hadn't it been serious, this only acted as a form of reprisal to him. Fighting through the flood of emotions in front of him, Issac hurled a knife, ahead of Masashi and then charged sideways, getting away from the nurse and more towards the coffin. His head ducked down as the horizontal sweep cut off the small ponytail he had grown. Price of success, and he was meaning to cut it off, anyway. The plan was simple; cut off his arm, and make the coffin less of a weapon. A katana blade flashed through the air as the pommel was brought down on the large box, and Issac dove over it, his legs lashing out to strike Kaie on the head. He also needed to get the nurse away, and getting in between them would solve that problem nicely. Grey mist formed around his other arm, and Issac ignored it for a second. |

The did the speeches he had expected, quick little speeches proclaiming their manhood and abilities. The boys came rushing in as quickly as they could. Hmm, both seemed to choose high blows. Going straight for his head, not a bad idea, except going for his neck was all too typical and expected. Now without the woman to keep an arm around, the crazy vampire could use that arm for actual defense. Of course his idea of defense was simply manipulating his coffin. He swung it up and brought it down hard, connecting it to the floor. It was right in Masashi's way, making it all too impossible for him to simply rush through and strike the vampire. The coffin was large, and it was strong, that black cold metal was save for a nuke in its face or being thrown into the sun, was indestructible. Such a perfect barrier to give him more time. But the other boy was still coming at him. Kaie moved forward, down and rolling over the naked girl, his formerly coffin controlling hand grabbing onto her hair and forcing her to her feet. Now he had rolled to the other side of her, forcing the girl up to be a living barrier between himself and Issac. Of course Kaie still had his blade free. And though he wasnt facing that way, he spun the handle around in his hand, and struck behind his back at the charging Issac. Backwards thrusting a blade he was holding backwards, actually made it a good stab. |

Masashi gave a shout and, as expected, crashed headlong into the coffin. He fell over backwards cursing loudly as he clutched his nose. "What is this thing made of...jesus!" He stood up, glaring at kaie. "I didnt wanna use this cause we're technically family...but you leave me no choice." Masashi dug a hand into his robe, feeling around for something, and minutes later, he produced...a small gold cross! He took it off his neck and pointed it at Kaie. "May your skin melt and your soul burn, brother!" Little did Masashi know, well...you'll see. |

Damn, Masashi hit a rather hard and heavy object, Issac continued to swing around, jumping over a small chair that had been knocked over by combat. He rushed forward, the katana beginning to blur forward. He pulled a knife out of his jacket pocket. Issac ran over tiles and... damn. Kaie rolled over the nurse, and she was thrust into his face. This was really not any good. Oh, damn. The rest of the woman's body thrust in front of him. He sheathed his katana and the wakizashi was tucked blade away from his armpit. Their legs were spread wide, so Issac simply took a slide, his knife pulling out from inside his jacket. The backhand stab was ducked under, and Issac continued to slide through. Rough ground skidded under his body as he skidded along, and he passed underneath the two of them. Hostage and perpetrator. Now, he didn't care about the view, but when only pants were visible, he thrust upwards with the knife. As an afterthought, Issac twisted his blade to stab into Kaie's thigh. If he hit, actually. He doubted the guy would hurt too much if stabbed in the balls. Spinning around, he was behind the vampire, and Issac slammed into the wall in front of Kaie. Shoot, that wasn't expected. He got up, or tried to. Masashi pulled out his fancy cross. Damn, what did... oh, vampire, right... Issac reached around into his jacket, trying to find a knife to pull out. Most of them were squashed between him and the wall. Only one left, until he got back up. |

It took only a moment of focus to save Kaie's leg. The low blow would too be met with an equally cheap and unwanted defense. Kaie focused his bloodflow, and forced his skin to harden, it turned paler and stronger. So when the blade struck, it met too much resistance to pierce his hide, and simply went off. Though it cut open quite a bit of his pant leg. As quickly as it had come, the ability left, Kaie's skin was forced back to softness, as he had many things to do, that required a much more gentle touch. After all, if he forced and pushed the young lady with hard skin, she would have broken. Now, she would just squeal and feel pain. With that said, Masashi pulled out the cross. Kaie reached his sword arm out, screeching and screaming. Hollering like there was no tomorrow. Trying to cover his face with his arm in a way that was clearly over exaggerated. He was pulling the classic old movie 'oh it burns' tactic with holy appearing objects. Of course what Masashi didnt seem to know yet, was that all that was bullshit. A fact made clear when Kaie let his arm down, and just started laughing. "Kekekekekeke." He brought the sword around, pressing against his meat shield's neck, so he could reach out with his free hand. With those slender, pale digits he took hold of the cross held up towards him, and with his strength, bent and warped the tiny device until it resembled something out of a bad abstract painting. "Really think that would work? Tisk tisk tisk. For that pretty girl here, gets a reminder." The free hand flashed back to the girl he held. He grasped her by the neck now, and drew his broken blade up, and across. Into her flesh over her eye he carved the shape of the cross that had been so promptly shoved towards him. "Mmm...smell that? The fetid blood of fearful youth. You can taste all the joy, all the hope escaping." His head went toward her neck, his tongue once again leaving its cavern, and scraping its way up and down the girl's damaged face, lapping up her blood like a dog. Oh surely some escaped, it dribbled and dripped down to her chest...spilling across her hills and valleys before hitting the floor. Thankfully she wouldnt lose that eye. Just carry that scar for the rest of her life. "I think she could do with a few more alterations dont you? Hehe, good thing we're in a hospital." |

Masashi's grip tightened on the cross as he put it back into his coat, gritting his teeth as Kaie scarred the flesh of his captive. "Simply testing if you had a sense of humor, Kaie. You've made me lose mine for the evening." He growled, "I will make sure you dont laugh again tonight." He held up his sword sideways, running a finger over it, he closed his remaining eye, his voice a low whisper. "Brother, give me strength, give me light...and with your light I will dole out swift and harsh judgement upon the cruel and upon the wicked." While muttering these words, a light began to shine in the area of Masashi's chest, growing more every word he spoke, enveloping his entire body. "Shine, my heart...give your shining light to my sword and let me strike down this fiend who dares attack the innocent!" His voice rose to a crescendo as the light spinning around his body, now all began to move to his sword, spinning around it at a high velocity, the air around the room buffeting, dust and small debris flying every which way. Masashi turned to Issac, eyes still closed "I suggest you look away, its rather bright." And with that, he turned to Kaie, face set in stone, pulling his sword back to swing. "HOLY WAVE!!" Masashi shouted, bringing his sword down in a large vertical slash, the energy around it flying towards Kaie at full speed in the shape of a half moon crescent of pure light. It flew through the girl harmlessly, but to Kaie, this would burn as badly as a nice sunny summer day. |

He looked at Masashi, and then at the monster and his captive nurse. More banter was shared, and Issac used the opportunity to reach behind him and pull out a knife. His katana had been detached, and now lay at his feet. The wakizashi was still there, but it was trapped between his spine and the wall. Right then, lets get on with things. A flash of pain, compounding with his own. The cross shaped scar was etched onto the nurse's bare skin, and she was helpless to do anything about it. Well, now was the time to start doing something. But then Masashi turned out something impressive. He seemed to gather all his rage and power, then focus it into a blast of holy light. Which, to be honest, was pretty much like the flash part of a flashbang. There was a massive burst of light, and Issac's eyes seemed to lose a layer as the wave of holy passed over him. It was sheer emotions as well, and his skin prickled. But now wasn't the time to think about that. Issac grabbed the nearest handhold and hurled himself to his feet, the two shoes digging into the ground to attack Kaie from behind. In each hand was a knife, and the left one held reverse bladed while the right hand blade was in a 'normal' position. Knife shaped doom came from behind as Issac threw himself forward the last meter. The knife was aimed at his shoulder, the sword arm shoulder. That way there wasn't much risk of going right through bone and hurting the nurse, and the knife in his right hand would stab anything that whirled around to retaliate. It was desperate, getting this close this fast, without not much more of a plan than 'stab here, stab there, hope that this guy would die... again.' |

The first swordsman was, well he was rather flamboyant with his speeches. Really, how could anyone takes this guy seriously when he talked about magic light or yadda yadda... Okay, when he started talking Kaie had zoned out. He could honestly not pay attention at all. The girl's cute little whimpering, her cries of pain, and his own feel of deep pleasure and the simple smell of it. Yes, his nostrils flared taking in the precious scent of fear and despair the girl exhaled. It was so much more interesting then a paladinish talk. Unfortunately, Masashi wasnt all talk, and sent a wave of energy out at Kaie. Now, normally holy things dont do jack shit if a vampire doesnt believe. And since Kaie had been dick enough to wander into the vatican before and try to kill the pope, holy itself wasnt enough to stop him. However it was still a wave of burning hot energy. Burning hot energy ALWAYS hurt. He started to the side, but didnt quite make it far enough away to avoid all the energy. His arm that held the girl was caught in this little problem. It cleaved through his arm, the hot energy sizzling his flesh, filling the room with the stink of skin and burning fat. But the energy did too cauterize the wound, so there was no bloodloss. "That...was annoying." There was still Issac's blows to deal with. By trying to avoid the holy blow, he put Issac in a better place. Hell, the stab that Issac had aimed for Kaie's sword arm? It went too far in the other direction and pierced the vampire's back, digging far enough to smack into his lung. The problem with hitting a vampire's lung is of course, besides his ability to talk, he didnt need the lung at all. Around that time the vampire got smart and blurred away, him pumping quite a bit of energy into his speed ability, allowing him to break away free. Though the nude nurse was out of his grasp. "Kekekeke. Bad bad children. Taking away my little plaything before I was done with her. Thats okay, I have many more little toys." He tapped the floor with his broken sword, digging it slightly into the ground. There was one little trick up his sleeve. "Every hospital has a morgue you know, and I've certainly done my part to fill it up these last few days." The shambling hoards below scrapped their containers, brought back to life by a horrible whim of an undead monster. If he hadnt have been visiting that room to bring them back to life before taking care of his business, this would have been entirely impossible. But he had known coming in that he needed an exist. And after a quick tap of an item in his pocket, the doors holding back the zombified dead burst open with a little bit of explosives. Thats right, the bottom floors of the hospital would soon be filled with undead freaks. "Now now you have a choice. Give me back my plaything now, or my little toys will keep eating away anyone still alive here. Up to you." Not all villains had to be pure violent. Sometimes a high bluff skill, or intense dickery was preferable to pure battling. |

It is a terrible curse to have to make a choice such as this. Masashi looked from one to the other, the girl...the zombies...the life of one, or the lives of many. Masashi lowered his sword, able to look only at the ground...Kaie would pay for this, pay dearly someday. "Issac, give him the girl and go, theres nothing more we can do here." He hissed, his voice barely above a pained whisper. His grip tightened on his sword, he couldn't fight all of them...he couldn't. This was a curse, this was his choice, to save many. He didn't look the girl in the eye, he simply waited for Issac to do as he said. |

Issac looked from one to the other. Girl, zombies, this monster. He wasn't about to make some deal with the closest thing to a devil out here. Anger swelled, and his arm crackled with energy borne of rage. Lessons flashed through his mind, and Issac focused on the ones about dealing with mobs of undead... none. "Plaything? No way." They'd make it somehow... if only he had more people on his side... damn. There wouldn't have been much noise, but someone in the hospital would have noticed this happen. Maybe some security forces would be on their way. That wasn't any good, they would have to have shotguns and zombie-countering equipment. Mark had one, that would probably help... he had the right ability set. "Hey, swordsman. I don't think he's going to stop those zombies anyway. I've been around here for a while, broken rib and all, there's only one flight of stairs, the rest are elevators." Red lightning began to pick up, searing some of the loose strands in his school jersey. The sheer electrical energy was only a light show, not actual volts. But it did do some damage to his arm. Issac didn't care, not the time. His eyes turned to try and look at Masashi, then the girl, all the while his blade wavered in the air, pointing at Kaie. Empathy locked onto the two behind him. If he gave him the girl, the fear he could put her in... it would overwhelm him, and that would be the end of Issac Naku as an effective fight "You kill this bastard, and make sure you do. I'll deal with everything else." No bravado here, Issac would call for help. It wasn't like the good guys weren't allowed reinforcements too, right? Throwing a pair of knives, a skill he was only recently developing, Issac hoped to buy enough time for everything to go to plan. They were thrown in a vertical sweep, so if they didn't hit their centre of chest mark, they should hit something to at least stop him for a millisecond. Thankfully, while the girl was well endowed, it was a matter of scale. Her body was rather petite, and Issac's arm wrapped around her waist as he sliced the door open. Holding a naked girl wasn't something new to Issac, but nonetheless he hoped it didn't shock her into paralysis. He literally hurled her down the hallway, shouting for her to get help. Then he turned for the main artery of the hospital, the staircase and the elevators. That was probably the only reliable way to get undead from one part of the hospital to the other. The rest involved fiddly work such as using complex fire escape door handles, and climbing up air vents. Pulling out a cellphone, Issac hit a speed dial number. "Hospital, bottom floor. We have a undead riot." and that was enough. Stowing it back into his pocket, he left the thing dialing. Out in the dorms, Mark got a panic call. |

The samurai got it. He knew that horrible things would soon be happening, but the younger one, the younger one was fighting it. Certainly there were stairs, and a single door between the zombies and warm human innocence. Did he really think Kaie didnt figure that out? That the undead freak didnt have an idea or two up his sleeve? That someone who had been around long enough to fuck the girlfriend of legendary student Johnny Rodz wouldnt have enough skill in dickery to succeed? The knives, they knives were meaningless. They landed with a dull thud into the already dead man's chest. Puncturing a lung but otherwise just hitting useless meat. Parts of Kaie that he had no need to keep safe, that bothered him in the least bit to get injured. But the man got tricky, he threw the girl. Her busty form would no doubt take a little damage from the entire event, after all, that kind of fall was pretty painful. Hm, but her fear was truly a delectable dish, something that was beyond precious to Kaie. To see the hopelessness in her eyes, to smell her terror, to feel her quivering beneath his clammy cold hands. Mmm, just the mere thought of such an action made Kaie's heart beat faster. The severed arm, that was the key to this all. Before the two swordsmen could realize, it burst into quite a few bats. A general swarm that rushed forward through the cut door and grasped the thrown girl in their tiny clawed hands. She came to her senses just in time to scream as they dragged her, smearing her across the ground as she returned to Kaie. He put a foot down on her chest, holding her as the bats flew to his arm, slowly reforming and reconnecting. So in moments he appeared complete once again. Save for missing the ring and pinky finger on that hand. The bats flew off, down a hallway not to be seen. "Kekekekeke." Laughter, coming between wheezes as air escaped the vampire's lungs. "My little friends, those bats will go open the way for the zombies. In fact, they should be done already. Quick little buggers they are." Using his thumb and remaining two fingers the vampire hefted the girl up by her hair once again. He slid his sword slowly between her legs. Grinding it slowly between things that cannot be mentioned. Careful with his strength that blood was not flowing, instead when he hefted the sword free it held a particularly special fluid. "Fear is such a wonderful aphrodisiac, dont you agree?" He grinned, flashing fangs as he extended his tongue and licked one corner of his sword, taking the taste of the young girl into his mouth. |

"You have your toy back...now call of your hordes, kaie!" Masashi shouted, regretting every word, hating every sound. He didn't want to sacrifice this girl to whatever fiendish pleasures this undead monster had in store...but.. Masashi raised his sword, beginning to chant again, this time his voice was hoarse and and ragged. "Tateo...from you, once more, I ask for-" He stopped, his sword dropping from his hands, he fell to one knee. His breathing was hard, he had expended too much energy on his last attack. He turned to issac, "You better have something good up your sleeve, kid." He said, then turned back to Kaie. "I don't like saying it...but...I will ask nicely if I have to." |

Right then, now Issac wasn't going to just stand by and watch in shock as the bats passed overhead. It might have been simple blind slashing, but the wakizashi sliced through the air, waving around to strike at the bats zooming overhead. He continued downstairs, and he mentally sized up his odds. Not good, but what was on his mind was exactly how many bodies were inside, and in what condition. The bats were back, seemingly satisfied in their mission. Issac leaped up, his assorted blades windmilling around him and slicing at the air in front of the bats. There would be most that escape, maybe, but the ones that were hit, if any, probably might do something to hinder Kaie upstairs. "Mark, where the hell are you?" Issac went into the main stairs and began running down, there weren't many people around, were there? Grabbing the longsword, he barreled down the stairs, and finally arrived at the bottom floor. Zombies, if they could be called that. Most didn't have anything on. Nobody dressed a dead body, did they? Anyway, morgues normally stripped them. Issac didn't have time to be sick over the mess that monster had made when he killed these people. The sword hacked and slashed in the small foyer of the main artery. Shit, this turned sour, fast. He sheathed the blades. A zombie got a boot to the head, and Issac found some clear space. How large was this morgue, anyway? "AKKEN!" The red blade sprang to his hand, forming a longsword of rather long length. It wouldn't rival the longer blades present, seeing as it was about five feet long, total. He didn't want to limit his options by lengthening the blade too much. Issac slashed sideways, and began a series of sweeps, cuts and crushing backhands. Their chests. Cut that down and you limit their abilities quite a bit. Maybe the occasional neck or two. Red began to creep into Issac's eyes, burning red, and his hair tinged red. The stairs. He began to back up against it, and began to slash through the stairs. Wood, and even concrete bent and cracked under the strain of anger incarnate. That would cut off one path, maybe. Issac rushed forward, his blade a red whirlwind around him as he swept a path. Now for the other stairwells. Hopefully that samurai could deal with that monster. And hopefully the nurse could live. Damn, where are you, Mark? ----- He was running. Mark had enough time to gather up his gear, strap it to his body, and then run off. A combat fatigue for today's uniform, and now they were off to fight. Shotgun in his hands, he slung it over his shoulder. Knives bounced along with his pistol as he dashed towards the hospital. All were made for close in work, and that would suit him well, in this fight. He didn't like plunging into a situation like this, without any good indication on enemy force strengths, capability and so on. But now... they would fight. Mark raced forwards. This was absurd. He hoped that Issac was right, and what he was facing wouldn't be very bad. But then again, this was an emergency, this was a brother calling for help. And Mark wasn't deaf. The hospital loomed ahead, and Mark slowed his pace. Assess and react. He shotgun sights bounced and jerked in time with his footfalls. It was leveled at the front door, and Mark took it slow. No use bumping up the casualties with his carelessness. Inside was carnage. Swallowing his doubt, Mark eased the door open, his shotgun stowed away in favor of the pistol. The flashlight was mounted up, and it clicked on. Where were the lights? Mark reached a main switch, behind the stuffed head of the reclining nurse. None. Pistol sweeping the room, Mark paced forward, his sights shaking in an abstract fear. He pushed forward, and... damn it, Issac, what the hell did you get yourself into? He followed the obvious trail of destruction. |

"Kekekeke, defeated already? Silly samurai has been praying to the wrong people. Dear brother of mine cant help you. He cant even help himself." Kaie tossed the female to the ground, closing the gap between him and the kneeling samurai with a few confident strides. His strong boot finding a place on the small of the girl's back, holding her in place. Then there was the sword. That undead bastard brought his broken blade up, gave a cruel smile and flicked. Sending speckles, strands of the sticky residue that the girl had left careening through the air...at Masashi's face. After all, the vampire had fairly good aim. "You ask from a man who has nothing. As the man who has nothing asks from his impotent god. You should be praying to me. Unlike my dear brothers, I reward my servants." His voice was fluid, speckling through the air his own unique tone and vocal prowess puncturing the night. He gave it a few moments to percolate, to float through the air and seep into the man's thoughts. He was trying to corrupt him of course, to make the man turn and twist into something else. "This is a one time only special samurai. Abandon my brother. Swear a hatred to him, and not only let you live." The vampire paused, taking a break through his evil villain schpiel to lean forward, to try and loom over Masashi. "I'll give you what all men in this world crave. Money, power, women...all except this one of course." The heel of his boot was what pressed on her back, Kaie pressed down with his might and ground down on the small of her back, letting the girl scream at night. "This one is just too special for me to give up." What? It had been so long, and so many of his servants had gone off to their own corners of the world. Recruiting was rather difficult these days. |

Masashi winced as the womanly fluids hit his face, wiping them off in disgust. He stayed silent as Kaie gave him his choices, offering him a life of luxury at the price of forsaking the dearest person to him. Masashi grinned, how dare this un dead monster tell him to do that. "You can bleed me dry before I do anything like that..." He said looking up into those eyes filled with malice, "But you wont get the chance...somehow I will end you...vampire." With that Masashi got up shakily, "Take the girl, and your zombies...and leave." |

The zombies weren't massive hordes, although Issac could certainly handled them. Wide sweeps and short stabs kept them down, although they kept getting back up. One girl, oh dear deities, she had her throat ripped out. Damn. Issac sliced down, cutting off her arm. He then chopped across, removing her legs. He then cut up, bisecting her left breast and cutting her head off. One down for good. Mark, he was here. Issac could feel the cold, calculating rage that burned inside of his friend. He was getting close. He was in the building. A faster shambling corpse got too close, and ore no ka punched a hole in its cheeks as the pommel smashed into its face. It was another girl, probably a year older than he was, when she was alive. A theme appeared in the surroundings. Girls, all of them. By the looks of their soaked skin, they had been bathing. Damn him. Issac roared defiance as his sword whirled around him, cutting foes down left right and center. He cleaved skulls open. He sliced off limbs and legs. It was that adrenaline rush, fighting for you life... it almost felt good. And it wasn't too hard to imagine these things as simple targets. They carried no emotions, no soul. And even if they moved, Issac had fought against monsters and soulless creatures before. Soon there were two down, then three. That was about a third of them. He was the greatest disturbance, so they tried to mob him, but agility and speed won out over them. He cut off another head, his blade leaving a rainbow of gore and flesh. Emotions ran hot in his blood, fueling his anger and in that sense, his power. Issac felt his ears burn, and parts of the sword caught alight. Burn. That was the key. "YAMERU!" A flash of light, and the sword compacted. If fell into itself, like how you would screw up a sheet of paper to make a ball. The result was a sword, more a katana than anything else. It was brilliant, almost white in color, and radiated anger. Issac's hands blurred, and so did the sword, its almost weightless blade a change from the heavy and bulky Ore no Ka. Ore no Kaen quickly cut down the remainder of its foes, playing it safe by separating each limb from the head and torso. That done, Issac began hunting around for some survivors. ----- Voices drifted up from below. Mark slid the shotgun behind him, the barrel pointing at the ground. It would be easy to access if needed in a hurry, and at these ranges hip-shooting was an effective strategy. Pulling out a knife and his pistol, Mark began weaving throughout the room. Down below were people, a confrontation. He would probably be able to end it, provided there were two or less bad guys. Right then, lets get to work, Mark Foley. Exhaling, he tentatively activated his powers, becoming a mist and flesh spider, or a tentacle monster, as some had put it. Bloody otaku h-anime addicts. Lowering himself down into the new arena of battle, Mark's knives were slid from their sheaths, four trench knives, a pair of KA-BARs, a KM-2000 German combat knives, and a pair of throwing knives. The remaining KM-2000 was held reverse bladed in Mark's hands. Ice blue eyes darted from shadow to shadow as he was tempted to flick on a flashlight. Right now, he'd kill to get hold of a pair of flashbangs. But then again, he didn't have any on him... hmm, maybe the next shipment they could drop down here... An evil voice, probably the one responsible for the bodies upstairs, laughed and began a spiel that would last a while. He might as well use the noise. Mark began creeping forward, pistol extended in front of him. The scene unfolded in front of him, and Mark had to reign everything in to stop him from making a snapshot that could end badly. There was a nurse, or maybe a patient, nonetheless she was a hostage, lying on the ground, screaming in fear and pain. Right, now that she was screaming, more room for error on the part of him making noise. Mark surrendered a knife to one of his Ghost Arms, and he held the pistol in both hands. His sights lined up with Kaie's head, and he breathed out. The trigger finger began its slow squeeze, gently, gently drawing a bead onto the bastard's head. A little more... and then boom, he'd have this situation resolve... Issac would probably have liked it better if this girl was saved before Mark began to get around to finding him. The trigger clicked, and the firing pin smashed into the 5.7mm hollow point. Mark had aimed a little low, and it would probably take out the Adam's apple of whatever this thing was. Then again, he wasn't too good. But he was sure of one thing: It wouldn't hit the girl. |

It was so ironic that Kaie had been speaking about the uselessness of prayer. The funny part of praying is that whether God exists, or even cares, there are always another set of ears listening. Between the nine hells and all the powers that seemed to spiral around AHS, it was a tragic miscalculation for Kaie to assume that no one would help the swordsmen. Of course, just as those seemingly mystic answers of prayers never come in the form of a mortals' imagination, neither did this. While it would not be what the swordsman wanted, it would be exactly what he needed. Hello eldest child, we have not been introduced. The voice was a rasp, a loud whisper that seemed to carry through every wall. By whisper, one could describe it as a collective chorus, male & female, demonic & mystic all sown into one simple effect. Amongst the wreckage and blood spattered carnage, quick black shadows could be seen darting in and out. Of course, those still living in the hospital had something of incredible time slowing eye sight, which meant they all saw something that looked in the shape of a bird for a split second. In and out, in and out, it was an obsessively random pattern which meant that it was not random at all. The 'birds' made no intervention on behalf of the fight, but their phasing in and out of the world became something of an annoying side show all throughout the hospital. Source of sufferance from the Minamino family, your ancestral Father sends his regards. Was it an insult, an introduction, perhaps acceptance? It was impossible to actually tell whether the voice of the ravens came as jest or truth. Kaie loved a good joke apparently, but he never liked to play the fair prankster. Those who jest with others are eventually bound to become toys themselves. The only certainty of the situation was that these beasts had not come on behalf of some far away and distant God. Their meaning of 'ancestral Father' was quite literal, whether Kaie was capable of figuring that out or not... absolutely no one cared. And then, the moment of change came. The ravens no longer gathered around the entirety of the building, they instead chose to centralize between, around, and all about Kaie and Masashi. Now they acted more as birds then ever, cawing and crowing before blinking in and out of existence. In essence there were only a hundred birds encircling the pair, but the phasing in and out of reality seemed to amplify that number to a greater extent. It was after a moment of the floaters passing all around that a single gunshot called out. Not from Mark's weapon, but from the flank... yes, a new challenger had entered the arena. All the ravens floating about and showboating had merely been one big fucking distraction, a grand waste of effort going in to playing with Kaie and the swordsman's minds so that a lone figure could step out of a portal that other ravens had made. Rather than waste time describing his appearance, we'll skip to the good part. Kazura had emerged knowing full well about the combat situation and the truth of the Mimamino family. While he was by no means a fatherly figure (technically an ancestral uncle), his thinking was that sending Ixiar here would just give Kaie a prime target to hunt in efforts of hurting Teo. So instead of father, you got cyborg. And unlike the majority of heroes and villains, cyborgs for their part try not to waste any time. Thus, a single round had been fired from his massive curved blade. Now for the big reveal... that bullet was not heading toward Kaie. Instead, if Kaie failed to move the face of his new toy, he was going to watch her pretty little pinned head explode in a million little pieces of skull blood and gray brain matter. An awful end to a tortured soul, but an end to play time. For better or worse that girl had become a rape victim and possible new traumatic psychopath. Though Kazura originally held some remorse about killing her, Kaine's pretty little speech about keeping her meant that while she was handy as a body shield toward would be heroes, those actually capable of stopping the vampire needed to do the right thing. Take his play things away, and all you had was one powerful vampire. There was also the side benefit of Kaie mistaking Kazura as an ally. Once again, the regards had not been sent as a joke. The cyborg's blank expression and violet eyes simply gazed at Kaie, awaiting to see how the creature would handle someone emotionally capable of sacrificing others for the greater good. |

Ah, that was one of the good boys defeated. What a triumph of will. Kaie waited only a few moments for his glee. Not only was he a blindly good swordsman, but a friend of that horrifyingly good brother of Kaie's. Any friend, servant or adequatenesses of Teo needed to be brought down. The vampire relished at the thought of one of them, finally on his knees, distraught and agreeing that he had won. The girl quivered beneath the dead man's grasp, fearing what would happen to her now. With the other hero gone, there was nothing that could really save her. That was, until Mark arrived. Kaie smelled him before he saw him. The scent of a fresh alive creature, the gun oil, the gunpowder hung thick around the boy, like a cape of death. Then came the gunshots. The vampire was quick enough to see the shot, to know that it was coming for him. Obviously a head shot, something even Kaie wouldnt be able to survive. The click, the boom, the bullet, it all came so fast. All the bastard vampire could do was tilt his head and lean backwards, letting the bullet zoom past him, grazing the skin off his neck. It left a nasty mark, but blood was not yet drawn. Fantastic, another goodie goodie. No matter, he too wasnt wanting the girl to die. That meant she could be of use. Humans were often too sentimental to kill an innocent to get at the guilty, perhaps it was justified, Kaie never thought of such things. He was the one that used the innocents to protect himself, anything for his victory. He grinned and spoke aloud, happy to have another being to defeat, to humble. "Now now, you should at least have the decency to show yourself and not just take such cheap shots." Then things got trippy. How else was someone supposed to describe it? When crazy animals start appearing that even Kaie wasnt in control of. No, this was something not of this earth. Yes, while Kaie was many things, a murderer, a monster, a serial killer, a scourge, an immortal, any of these things, he was one from this planet. What arrived here was something unnatural, something that didnt belong. An alien presence that should not be tolerated. The worst part was the beginning, the talking and revealing. How did he know? Masashi only knew of the connection to Teo because they were good friends, and while Teo might have many friends around campus still, it was doubtful he would mention the black sheep of that family. "Those Minaminos deserve every ounce of suffering that the world gives them." His hand gripped the blade tighter, his fingers withing to make a hatefull fist, but instead they found the hilt in his palm, crawling across it, holding it tight. Why did the world such smile onto that family of fools, the ones that got everything for no reason other then people believed they should get it. They didnt earn their love, but they certainly earned the scorn, for turning their backs on the people that needed them. No, this wasnt the ramblings of some emo child, Kaie had become what he is long before he knew of his connection. It is simply how he justified the hatred, the scorn, and the lust to torment his living relatives. Then a cyborg, a filthy combination of cold metal and oil, of unnatural devices and powers. There would be no love loss for Kaie in battling such a monstrosity. The cold creature simply raised a gun and fired, not at him, but at his victim. Call it pride, pride for the torture and the body count. No self respecting creature like Kaie would allow someone else to take a kill that was rightfully theirs. So when the bullet came it was in his own interests to keep the female alive. Why he slammed her by her hair across, taking her out of the bullet's path, but substituting it with his wrist. The bullet tore through his flesh, letting the broken appendage dangle, attached by a few strands of skin and a single vein. The girl was now on the ground, and Kaie had a found himself out numbered yet again. Two fresh young opponents, and Masashi, who would undoubtedly receive a second wind from the arrival of reinforcements. "Sorry my dear, I'll have to play with you later." The girl was on the ground now, his elbow slamming into her neck, it hurt her enough to send her down, but she remained conscience. Which is why the creature removed a syringe from his lab coat and slammed it deep into her arm. Which was difficult to juggle along with the sword, believe Kaie when he tells you this, difficult but not impossible. It was an intense sedative, she would not awaken no matter what was done to her for quite a few hours. More then enough time to deal with these pests and reclaim her. The vampire kicked her to the side of the hall, where she sat as a lump. "Hmm, seems I'm at a disadvantage, two gunmen, and me with a broken hand and a broken sword. Tsk tsk." It started slowly, with his feet, then his legs, his body slowly becoming more and more transparent, until he was just a wad of mist. In such a form no one could touch him anyways, without a vacuum cleaner, so he slid across the ground, crawling in another form until he had reached his coffin. There he reformed, perfectly, his hand no longer dangling but properly attached, and his sword, the broken blade diving into its keepsake component in the coffin. "There, much better." He hefted the great black box upwards, in front of him, taking control through handholds invisible to those that werent used to it. His smile went wide, a great gleaming thing as he pressed his hand on the right spot, and a hail of bullets erupted from one end. It was not good enough to just fire at one, so he swiveled and swayed, sending a large wave of lead at both the hiding mark, and the newly arriving Kazura. |
