The day had started out so nicely with the sun shining and not a cloud in the sky; but of course, all good things must come to an end. Just as soon as Sakura got past the lake small clouds began to appear and swarm over the sun. At first they didn’t look as though they would stay for very long, so small and lightly colored, what threat could they possibly hold to such a lovely day? Sadly in a matter of minutes they began to darken in color darkening the sky along with them all the while continuing to move over the sun until it was completely blotted out. At this point she knew it would rain, but nothing could prepare her for when it actually happened. All at once a continuous sheet of cold hard rain began to fall from the sky, showing no mercy to anyone who was caught outdoors. The harsh winds swirled around her and tried to push her backwards as she ran toward the only building she could see through the thick sheets of endless rain.

So here’s Sakura now, standing just outside what she assumed to be the Student Store soaked completely through from head to toe. Carefully she slipped off her white blouse and stuck it into a pouch on her bag, luckily she had worn a pink tank top underneath but nevertheless it was still completely soaked through and remained stuck to her body like a second skin. The same went for her just-above-the-knee grey plaid skirt, soaked completely through and hugging her legs. Of course she looked completely silly wearing this outfit with the current weather; hopefully no one would give her odd looks because of it. Luckily for her she never wore makeup or she would probably look like a clown right now. Wringing the excess water from her skirt and shirt she pushed her dripping curls up into a loose ponytail to hang down her back. Securing her bag on her shoulder she walked towards the door before slowly pulling it open and stepping inside.

“Oh, they changed it… to ‘Blue Leaves’…” she mumbled to herself while glancing at the order board above the bar to find the name of the establishment. Stepping further into the cozy store she smiled at a worker behind the bar and listened to the rather noisy squeak of her tennis’ on the floor. There were a few people in line for drinks and a few other couples scattered at the many tables around the first floor. Tracing the metal stairwell upwards with her eyes she slowly started to cross over to them trying desperately to block out the squeak…squeak…squeak…of her shoes.

Gently gripping the hand railing of the stairs she slowly began to ascend up to the second floor. Sakura was quite surprised to find that it was absolutely vacant! How could everyone want to stay downstairs when it was so homey up here? Smiling slightly she dropped her bag down onto the couch before walking over to the stage and gazing at the instruments. Maybe everyone only came up here for the performances? Running her fingers over the edge of the piano she turned and made her way to the closest book shelve. “Now to find something to pass the time with…” she whispered under her breath while running her fingers over the spine of each book. Maybe the rain had actually done her a favor this time?

Soaked to the bone. The already ratty clothes clinging to the dead frame of one Eeth Hellsing. He had been outside, and as such he was rained on. No, it went beyond rain, it was some form of ungodly hellish downpour that soaked him. Perhaps some form of high deity stubbed their foot or injured themselves in some similarly nonsensical way. Damn deities! Cant you get your lives together and not injure yourselves every time our backs we turned! A POX ON THEE NON EXISTING BEINGS! Thats what you get for um...not existing.

But we're off topic. Yes, the fine Mr. Hellsing. Former student and current alumni of this fine institution. Someday people feared that he would gain an actual position within these halls, and honestly he himself feared that most. It helped that most people considered him backwards, a joke, that his powers werent great and simple trickery. Let them have their grunting and power gathering constipation. Eeth lived his life, he continued and walked in this world that existed around him. Instead of merely being stronger for stronger's sake, he enjoyed his time.

Back onto the topic. The man was soaked to the bone, but he brought along his cane. A seemingly pointless bit of wood, but a simple tap on the floor once he was inside, and his clothes changed. He was now dry, and wearing a proper suit. Well, proper enough for him. It was a common black and white one, with the tie loosened around his neck and the shirt untucked. But it suited him just fine. He ran fingers through his hair, slicking back the black strands with the natural rain water that we could only dream was pure.

Upstairs he went. Driven by some strange urge, one that he himself could not understand. It was as if a great invisible force was whispering in his ear 'upstairs...upstairs...dickery'. So he did go forth up the stairs, oblivious to whatever great disaster could await him. Thankfully he was met with a virtually empty second floor, save for one rather breathtaking young lass. She was rather good looking, though in a skirt and quite wet. A situation that dare we say, worked even in Eeth's favor. And boy did this turn out to be his lucky day. The first things out of her lips that dear Mr. Hellsing could overhear, were her asking something to pass the time with.

There were many many good lines for him to share. Certainly a few conversation starters, some strange ways of getting to know her. The best way? The best way would be open and obvious. He walked up towards her, not bothering to hide his footsteps. What kind of girl would open up to someone that appeared like a ghost anyways? That would just be silly.

"How about you spend the evening with me? Perhaps with a cup of tea and a nice game of chess." His voice was warm, a smile coming across his lips. Thankfully his English accent usually helped in strange situations like this one.

‘Hmmm how about 20,000 Leagues under the Sea..?’ she thought while pulling the thick, leather bound book off the shelf. All she had read for days were text books and she figured it was time to settle down with a book she could enjoy, something exciting with adventure, mystery and would it hurt to have a little romance or passion? Shaking her head slightly she slipped the book back into place on the proper shelf and continued her way towards the wall. There was bound to be something here to at least catch her interest through the storm, the hard was just going to be finding it.

‘The Secret Life of Bees, no I already read that one a few months ago…The Wonderful World of Insects, umm maybe not today…’ shaking her head slightly at the last title she tilted her head back to gaze at the top shelf. Sakura knew she was taller than the average girl, but she still wasn’t tall enough to fully reach the top shelf so she had to rise up onto her toes and stretch forward to read the titles. Finally, some good ole English literature, just what she needed: murder, intrigue, mystery and romance! ‘Sherlock Holmes, Jekyll and Hyde, the Complete works of William Shakespeare.’ Sakura smiled and leaned higher reaching for William Shakespeare with hopes of finding Othello within its pages. But as she wrapped her slender fingers around its spine and went to lean back down, footsteps followed by a voice behind her jumpstarted her system.

Spinning back around Sakura rocked back onto her heels and felt the hard wood of the book shelf push into her back. The thick book she had managed to pull down slipped from her fingers and fell to the floor with loud and quite obnoxious BANG! Her hazel eyes widened in shock and she quickly dropped down to retrieve the fallen book, “I’m sorry…I thought…well I heard you I just…” standing back up she smiled sheepishly and shook her head, gently hugging the book to her chest. “When I came up it was so vacant, just a little surprising, that’s all.” Sakura shrugged slightly and blinked, just NOW registering what he had said to her.

‘How about you spend the evening with me? Perhaps with a cup of tea and a nice game of chess.’

Her first reaction should have been shocked or even appalled; but she had to admit that his English accent was beautiful. Tilting her head back slightly to look up at him she studied his face and a light pink covered her freckled cheeks as she realized just how attractive he was…and he wanted to spend the evening with her?!? Sakura felt flabbergasted, how does one respond to a question such as that? Feeling just a little too close to this English stranger she moved to take a step back before realizing that she was as far back against the shelf as she could go. Feeling the silence settle in on her she decided she should say something…anything…

“I…umm…don’t think I know how to play chess…” was all she could manage to get out as she desperately tried to look anywhere but at him. Why was he wearing such nice clothes anyway? For a moment she prayed he wasn't the owner of Blue Leaves or she would never be able to come back.

"Dont know chess? Pity." He spoke slowly, carefully. His words echoing through this tiny hall. His eyes flashed downwards from her face, an act that would normally get him into a fair amount of trouble, except this time he had a real thing. His fingers went out and touched the book that was grasped to her. The tips of his slender appendages running over the title. Shakespeare? Her? Hmm, it wasnt exactly light reading. But perhaps it could do something special. This was one of those times the old fashioned memory of useless facts and quotations could come in handy.

"When in chronicle of wasted time. I see descriptions of the fairest wights, and beauty making beautiful old rhyme. In praise of ladies dead and lovely knights. Then in the blazon of sweet beauty's best, of hand, of foot, of lip, of eye, of brow. I see their antique pen would have express'd, even such a beauty as you master now. So all their praises are but prophecies of this our time, all you prefiguring. And, for they look'd but with divining eyes, they had not skill enough your worth to sing. For we, which now behold these present days, have eyes to wonder, but lack tongues to praise."

It sounded best, nay perfect when coming from an English tone, a deepish altered voice of reason and reality. The fact that should have been impressive was that he recalled the entire thing from memory. Something a normal human would have hard enough time doing, but a man like Eeth notorious for what he was...it should have been impossible. As he spoke his eyes rose from the book, to meet the girl's. To embold them with the reality of the situation, of her own self and of the worst of their events.

"The hundred and sixth sonnet. A favorite of mine." He took a step back giving the woman more room. A way to to be introduced properly. While they were in Japan he should have bowed, if she was of high rank he would have had to bow for his own etiquette, but here, in a little cafe amongst the books...the hand he offered to shake would be enough.

"Eeth Hellsing. Seems you are still pretty wet from the rain, some hot tea and time with me can fix that right up."

Just as the stranger looked down and began to reach out her breath caught in her throat, only to be released slowly when he touched the spine of the book in her arms. Maybe she was just over reacting; then again, he had been rather up front with her. Obviously she took the hint of what he wanted from her with they way he approached her and bluntly asked if she wanted to spend the evening with him. In all her years at AHS she was quite aware of the way some boys looked at her; but usually looking was all they did. Save for her last three failed attempts at an actual relationship the male species seemed to have the impression that she had ‘Look but Please Do Not Touch’ stamped on her forehead. Perhaps that was why she was reacting so jumpily to this man; hopefully she would start to calm down and begin to act like a regular person.

Feeling a water droplet slide down the side of her face she tilted her head to the side and wiped it over gently with her shoulder. Sakura was preparing to try and properly introduce her self to him; but before she could even move her mouth he was quoting Shakespeare to her. She could have sworn that she felt her brain melt in that moment.

Her eyes widened slightly in surprise and seemed to shine before her lips bloomed into a full blown smile. As much as she loved it she knew she would never be able to recite as well as he did…’it must have something to do with that wonderful accent…’ she thought to herself while locking her eyes onto his. After he started she expected him to know a couple lines maybe even three; but for him to know the complete sonnet? She was surprisingly shocked, maybe she misjudged him; after all, if it was all a ploy how in the world could he have known that she enjoyed Shakespeare and then gone on to memorize a sonnet to impress her? ‘Whoa there Sakura, let’s not get ahead of ourselves now. He may know the Sonnet but can he even explain why it’s his favorite? Can he even interpret it?’ Her subconscious scolded her to not be so easily swayed, but still she smiled up at him. Somehow he just didn’t seem to be faking this.

“Well, I can’t even lie to you. That was extremely impressive the way you just recalled that, and you recited it beautifully. But out of all the sonnets, what about the one hundred and sixth makes it your favorite?” she asked curiously while uncrossing her arms and dropping them to her sides gently. Sakura was slowly trying to unfold herself from the bundle of nerves she was previously in.

Glancing down at his hand for a moment she shifted her book to the other hand before grasping his hand and shaking it slightly. With a friendly, and now comfortable, smile she introduced herself. “Pleasure to meet you, I’m Sakura Kazuma. I wouldn’t mind some tea and some company as long as you don’t mind my soaked sort of state…” Looking down at herself she gestured with her hand holding the book to her ‘wet-cat’ appearance.

“It started out as such a lovely day and now this…” she sighed while glancing out the far window at the steadily pouring rain. Shaking her head slightly she wiped another falling raindrop from her chin and smiled slightly, “…and of course I got caught right in the middle of it, but I see you managed to miss it, lucky.”

"Because now I've finally met the girl it was about." Eeth gave that wonderful sly smile. She asked him why it was his favorite, and he would soon be openly honest about it all. "All those wise enough, skilled enough to en capture your beauty were long gone before it could be beheld, all I can do is share those ancient words to the woman that they were so obviously meant for."

A line? Not exactly. Lines like that never worked well if you memorized it, let alone used them more then once. This was a special one night only performance of Eethority. He smiled and took a step back after all that. Though he had waited for her to bring up her name before starting, he held out before minding her special name. It was strange that in the land of Japan, with all the insanity that goes around, Sakura, was such an odd name. Few ever claimed that name, and instead took up even more bizarre nom de plumes.

"And truly, you have a name that reflects your beauty. Even coated in water your beauty shines through." It must have looked like he was coming on strong a little then, which is why he now pulled back. He leaned back, took a step away and gestured towards a table. "Come then, I'll set out an order for hot tea and we can continue our conversation."

The young man scribbled something down on a small lump of paper that was removed from his coat pocket. A pen from the opposing pocket and he scribbled in an order and tossed it over the side. Luck, practice and power brought the tiny device to the counter below. Where they would certainly bring up the warming drinks when they were prepared.

"I didnt miss the rain, in fact before entering and speaking to you I was quite drenched. But one comes prepared to these things, of course if I had known your smile would be here to warm me I wouldnt have bothered with trifling magic tricks."

Sakura knew it wasn’t polite to laugh at what Eeth was saying to her, but she just couldn’t hold it in. She chuckled softly to herself while clutching her bag in her hand to keep from bursting. Eeth was so smooth and it continued to amuse her how he never missed a beat. She was almost certain he could use anything and everything in the area to his advantage as far as picking her up. But he wasn’t try to hide the fact, oh no; in fact, he was the most up front guy she had ever heard of. Most guys she encountered tried to slowly work their way in, but Eeth was pretty open about what exactly he wanted before he even tried to charm her or learn her name. Nevertheless there was something about the way he said things and the way he looked at her that made her already rosy cheeks go even darker.

Grabbing her bag from its forgotten spot she followed him over to a table and smiled while placing her bag down and taking a seat for herself. Placing her big book down in front of her she pushed it to the side and leaned her elbow on the edge of the table while laying her cheek against her hand. How he considered her even remotely attractive in her currently soaked state she would never understand, but his words most certainly did make her feel pretty whether or not she believed it herself.

Sakura watched him send off the order with a sort of practiced ease, before coming to sit with her. Who prepared for a rain storm such as this when the day had started out so beautiful? Had he simply packed an entirely set of new clothes, just in case the day decided to take a turn for the worse? But before she could comment he was already back to the flattery again. Smiling slightly she shook her head and looked over at him across the table.

“All charm aside, why is one hundred and six your favorite? If you were just playing off my love for Shakespeare you could have just picked sonnet eighteen which is what most people pick when speaking of love and whatnot…” Maybe she was starting a rant but she wanted to try and keep his flattery to a minimum. Sakura just couldn’t decide on how genuine he was being so far, she was hoping that by starting a nice conversation she could get a glimpse at the man behind the charm and boldness.

She laughed. That was a good thing. Our good old Mr. Hellsing just smiled, rolling with it. The old thick tactic was never EVER supposed to work. It was supposed to be so over the top it was hilarious, getting the girl to laugh was the first way to actually getting to know her in some way that was close to relaxed. And she was enjoying it. Very good. The aging Brit slid down carefully into the chair, settling into a proper place for their conversation. It would be a bit for their tea, but he could wait. He could always wait a few minutes, especially if it gave him an excuse to chat with a young lady.

Sakura didnt seem to say that much this time, but what she did say, was rather important. She spoke in poise and conviction to point out a flaw in Eeth's dastardly schemes. And because of the setting, he was more then happy to explain himself. Which was extremely surprising for a man who had to survive with deceit and confusion. Upfront was just so difficult and caused problems, of course if you were upfront just the write times, people would mistake it for obvious deceit. Then you got a damn fun party going! A nonsensical party with explosions and pies.

"Well I dont like that sonnet that much. Its too over exposed and dripping with hopeless romancism in a joyful way. That and one day I cracked open the book and that was the only one I managed to memorize." He gave a slight laugh at his own joke. Well truthful bad taste joke. But hey, that was the only part he would happily share. The truth was he had always been attached to the meaning he found in that poem, that pure dumb founded nature that came with a wonderful woman.

He reached out then, taking her sleeve between his index and thumb, reminding himself, and Sakura as well at this point, that she was still wet. Of course he had a solution, a rather insane solution to hear it, but it worked, he was proof of that.

"My trifling magic tricks might be able to help you a bit luv. At least get you into something a bit warm without the hassle of going back to your place. Or the embarrassment of public nudity."

Sakura wanted so badly for him to just tell her exactly why he liked one hundred and six over sonnet number eighteen; but she could see in the way he laughed that he wouldn't go that far into it. As charming as he was she had hoped they would be able to have an actual conversation rather than him give continuous chase to Sakura the entire time. Nevertheless she would try and keep the topic away from herself as much as she could; but somehow she knew it was going to be harder than usual.

"Hmm maybe it is over exposed but does that make it's value any less? it would be like saying sonnet one-hundred and six is worthless because it isn't as well known as number eighteen..." she stated with a small shrug.

Personally she found it hard to pick a single favorite out of so many wonderful pieces of work. How could someone decide on one piece of art in a room full of priceless antiques? To Sakura it seemed like the same conept. Each sonnet and story was dear to her in one way or another, simply picking one would be an insult to the others. Whether or not he chose one hundred and six for the reason he stated or because he genuinely liked it she didn't know; but she was curious to find out eventually.

Feeling something warm on her wrist her eyes looked away from his face and over to his fingers that were now resting on her slightly damp wrist. Blinking slightly she felt her cheeks heat up as she stared at him from across the table. The standard warning bells went off in her mind as soon as he touched her. What did she really know about him other than his name is Eeth and he knows something of Shakespeare? Could she really trust him as well as his powers to somehow poof her into dry clothes? Blinking slightly she looked down at her wet clothes and wondered whether or not it was worth the risk. After all, how was she supposed to go to her jobs if she ended up sick? Sakura couldn't afford to get fired from any of them if she wanted to attend college any time soon.

Looking back up at him she smiled slightly while assessing him with her eyes, "Say I were to take you up on your offer. How, exactly, do they work, these trifling magic tricks of yours? I mean...how do you plan to just, well, 'poof' new clothes onto me?"

"Because its well known? No, but because it is constantly recited it loses its impact. Worse yet is the intent behind it when always spoken, where it overflows with the flattery." Lets face it, if anyone knew quite how to overflow speech with flattery, it would probably be some unwanted bastard like Eeth. He had been rather blatant and thick earlier, now it had streamed out into being a genuine and simple conversation. He gave a smile and retreated into himself, eying his cane worriedly.

About then it became a good break. A worker from the blue leaves rose up the stairs carrying a tray with the tea on it. They set down the tray on the table and returned down below wordlessly. Those were good servers, they didnt even grub for tips. Slowly Eeth took up a cup of tea in his hand and sipped it, the wonderfully hot liquid flowing down his throat. It was refreshing, especially after being out in the rain for so long. He drank it unsweetened, not in any way to prove how manly he was as some would assume. But he felt that adding things to the tea to sooth was an insult to the tea itself, and that the wondrous drink should be able to stand on its own.

"It really feels more like a swoosh then a poof." He put the cup of tea down then, standing up a foot or so away from the table. Eeth closed his eyes and thought, trying to select a different outfit that would be proper for this situation. Unable to think of an appropriate one, he instead got one that made absolutely no sense and he frankly was not able to get out of his head. With that mistake he tapped it on the floor, and in a rush his clothes changed.

It was quick, the clothes on his body twisting and turning into something else. When it was done our great Mr. Hellsing was dressed like Elvis Presley, complete with white jumpsuit with a giant golden eagle on the back, over sized sunglasses, fake sideburns and a very fake giant pompadore.

"Of course, it only works as well as you can think of what to wear. But at least its dry."

Sakura smiled slightly and pulled her hands off the table to fold them in her lap. Maybe they would actually be able to have a proper conversation after all! Twiddling her thumbs together she nodded at his words and thought of how best to approach his statement. It seemed like a fair enough judgement, but why should reciting it take away from it's impact? Sakura had to fight to control her bubbling laughter when he mentioned the over-flowing flattery, it was all too ironic for her to handle.

"Well, if you want to talk about an over abundance of flattery and cheesiness then look no further than Romeo. Every other word from him is practically dripping with it." rolling her eyes she shook her head slightly before letting the subject float away altogether. Feeling another drop on her chin she carefully swiped it away before it had a chance to drip.

Hearing the soft clank of a tray she glanced up to see that the tea had arrived. Looking the the rather introverted waiter she smiled politely and nodded her thanks as he slowly retreated back down the staircase. Sakura was still slightly surprised to see that the second floor had stayed vacant for so long. She could hear the light rumble of voices from the ever growing crowd downstairs, so why had none of them ventured upward? Oh well, she would simply enjoy the tranquility while it lasted.

Smiling she slowly pulled a tea cup forward to rest in front of her. Unlike Eeth, Sakura preferred two lumps of sugar in her tea to take the bitterness away. Picking up her spoon she stirred it slightly until she was sure the last of the sugar was all dissolved down before taking a small sip and smiling slightly. 'Gosh that's good...' she thought to herself as she watched Eeth stand from his seat. He seemed to be concentrating on something so she tried to stay as quiet as possible for him. Resting her hand back against her cheek she watched him closely while taking another quiet sip of her tea.

Unfortunately just as she was taking that sip, Eeth seemed to transform into...well...elvis right before her very eyes! Almost dropping her cup to the ground she fumbled to get it back on the table before she had a chance to spill any on her self or the floor. Swallowing no longer seemed to be an option as she snorted and fought back a round of laughter. Sakura could feel the tea threatening to escape through her nose and she clamped her hand over her mouth for safe measure. Looking away from him she snorted again before finally managing to swallow her tea.

Laughing slightly, her face now completely red, she turned back in her seat before standing up in front of him. "Sorry, that just...heh, caught me off guard." smiling slightly she shook her head and did her best to reign in her laughter. "I mean, wow...what made you think of that? And what happened to your other clothes?" she asked curiously while walking around him to inspect his handy work.

"I dont understand why anyone ever liked Romeo. Such an egotistical drama queen. The prince legitimately loved Juliet as much, he just couldnt get her attention." Eeth was right, even at the girl's grave he was mourning her long after her family had left. He idly removed the sunglasses from his face and tossed them onto the table. He actually liked the damn things, and would probably wear them after he used the power to change his clothes again.

"Much more a midsummer night's dream and Macbeth lover honestly."

What? You expected him to sit there with a pretty girl in a completely fake pompadore and a bad halloween costume? Oh hell no, that was beneath even Eeth. He might try fighting in it once just to screw with someone's head, but he wasnt about to stand there with a pretty girl, trying to chat her up while looking like that. He took the cane again, clearing his head this time and imagining him back in a proper suit and tie. The common, thread breaking cheap suit that he always wore. With this picture in his head he tapped the cane down and the clothes changed once again.

"I told you, magic. Just think of the clothes you want to be wearing, imagine yourself in them, and tap the cane on the ground. Least you'll be dry." He sat back down in his chair, running a hand through his real hair, the wig long gone. It was scruffy and uncombed for that day. Something you could actually start to expect from someone like him. He slid the cane onto the table, letting go of it, an offer for her to perform such a magical act while he sipped the tea.

"Now we've talked plenty about me. You havent shared your favorite sonnet or play."

Sakura shrugged lightly, "Well of course everyone loves Romeo, they view him as the classic romantic man. No one ever sees the beginning of the story that shows how fickle he really is when it comes to women. No, all anyone ever talks about is the balcony scene, or how their eyes met across a crowded room..." Even though that was the way she felt about it, she had to admit that just the thought of those two moments was enough to make any lonely girl weak in the knees. Who didn't want to be romanced like that? There just had to be that one moment in every girl's life where they wanted Romeo to sweep them off their feet!

A Midsummer Night's Dream and Macbeth huh? Now those were a couple interesting plays for him to pick. As much as she wanted to inquire as to why they were his favorites, Sakura wanted to be dry as well. Watching him change back it didn't look to confusing, her only fear was that she would somehow end up naked. What would she do then?! Sighing softly she walked back to the edge of the table and stared down at the cane.

"Well I guess it won't hurt to try, thank you for letting me." she said with a small smile while lifting the cane from the table. Turning it around in her hands a few times she took a step away from the table while inspecting it slightly. "Hm, alright. Now what do I change into?" she asked under her breath, merely voicing her thoughts. Closing her eyes she tried to picture what few clothes she had, and since Eeth was dressed some-what nicely she figured she could try to do the same. Then again, the nicest thing she had was a sun dress she had only worn once previously. Lowering the cane to the ground she pictured the dress clearly in her mind before tapping it once.

Then came the 'swoosh' feeling Eeth told her about before something dry and warm replaced her wet, soggy clothes. Just as quickly as it had come about it vanished completely, as though it hadn't even happened. Opening her eyes slowly she glanced down to see that it had worked! Instead of the soaking clothes she had been wearing, Sakura was now dressed in her knee-length pink sun dress. She had even managed to get it there with a sweater to cover her bare arms up.

Smiling she buttoned a few of the buttons on the front of her sweater before pulling the rubber band out of her now dry hair, letting it fall behind her. Walking back to the table she placed his cane back on the table while taking her seat across from him. "Thank you, I don't look like a wet cat anymore..." She was starting to remember why she only wore this dress once, it made her feel like a kindergarten teacher for some odd reason.

"My favorite? I don't like to pick just one, because I like them all for different reasons...but, I think Othello is definitly close to the top for me. Just the thought of one man tearing apart two people who are supposedly completely in love with each other is sad. The story is just so maddening to me that I have to love it..."

"Romeo was beyond fickle, going about how he loved a single girl with all his heart, then entirely ignoring her for some other girl he doesnt even get the name of. Yet everyone believes he's such a fantastic lover, a wonderful person because of that damn balcony scene. All that scene was, is him trying to BS his way into a girl's knickers, the worst part is when it starts to work. Juliet is at equal fault for falling into that ass's fantasies, hell she only really did it because being told to she was going to marry some other guy freaked her out."

It was a pity then. Not so much that she had accepted his offer and got into some warm clothes, but the kind she had chosen were not exactly flattering her curves. Eeth very much had enjoyed her in the wet tank top, but it gave him nice guy points for this. He needed those nice guy points, as certainly his reputation was starting to get around. Damn children were worse then a sewing circle when it came to gossip. No, no matter, he could always use a laugh and a good cup of tea, like now.

"Not that the wet cat look didnt work for you of course. Just thought you'd enjoy it more being dry." He flashed a smile before reaching into his pocket. Eh, politeness be damned, he had made nice guy points, he could spend some of them to be a complete dick. What did he remove from his pocket? Nothing but that trusted pack of red apple cigarettes, the winking worm on the box being illuminated by the cheap lighting inside the building. It didnt matter to Eeth of course, he simply removed a single cigarette from the box and slid it between his lips, lighting up before continuing the conversation.

They were talking about old plays, smoking was allowed, right? Oh well, if not all the man had to do was not blow it in her face. He simply puffed on the small stick, seemingly absorbing the sheer amount of smoke that it created because nothing left his mouth.

"Maddening love? That is your trick then eh?"

"Exactly! I mean, think about it, when we're first introduced to Romeo he's still pining over his first love. Talking about how he 'can't go on without her!' Then surprise, surprise as soon as another pretty girl goes by he once again acts as though he's completely smitten with her!" Sakura laughed slightly at the boldness of Eeth's statement but she had to admit it had been exactly what she was thinking; but of course her thoughts were slightly sugar coated. "I'd like to blame Juliet but I can't...given her circumstances, I can see why she allowed herself to get carried away."

Shaking her head slightly she glanced down and realized her dress was a little tighter around the top then she would have liked. The dress itself was only a couple years old; but Sakura had done quite a bit of growing over the past couple years. What had started out as a blimp of a dress now hugged her chest and waist. At this realization a burst of color burned her neck and stained her cheeks. Glancing away from him she tried to slowly button up her sweater as to not pull attention towards those areas.

"Yes, and thank you again for letting me change. I just hope this rain will let up before I have to go to work. My boss will be livid if I show up soaked..." she stated with a small laugh while taking a sip of her tea; but all good things must come to an end. As soon as she saw the carton being pulled from his pocket her smile fell slightly and she inwardly groaned. Of course he smoked, why wouldn't he? They always ended up being smokers in the end anyway. Knowing Sakura's luck with men he probably had a mini bar tucked away somewhere to feed his alcoholism!

Woah...woah! You don't even know him, just because he smokes doesn't make him an abusive alcoholic...slow your roll there Sakura... Watching him light up she glanced back down at the box and did her best imitation of a smile. After all, he had been very nice to her so far, so what if he liked to smoke? Forgetting the rest of the buttons on her sweater she leaned her cheek against her hand and watched the raging storm outside.

"My trick? Oh, I wouldn't say that..." she started with a small smile. "...but sometimes the characters have these moments that are so simple and so human that I believe in them. The jealousy, the hatred, passion so real that it makes you tremble with the reality of it..." Sakura's eyes glossed over slightly as she watched the clouds roll and thunder outside. "Things like that happen rarely if at all in real life, but somehow that story seems to be the most realistic to me and that's why I love it..."

"You'd think such a wild reputation like Romeo's would have gotten around. Or at least for one of his friends to go 'hold on a second'. Such a pity that all the hopeless romantics in this age come out of two scenes, played between two school children who couldnt take the time to make sure the other was dead before offing themselves out of angst." Okay, maybe he was a bit rough on ole' Romeo. But really, Eeth did not enjoy that play, not because what it was, but for all the undeserved attention it got. It really was his least favorite play, even the historical ones were more enjoyable. Even King Lear, which being English hurt Eeth slightly, as at the end where France invades and takes over. That wasnt part to point out though.

As she straightened herself up and thanked him, Eeth did what he was famous for. He became a diabolical asshole. It was subtle enough, most people wouldnt have noticed the strange gold pin that was acting as a cuff link now, the same pin that had been on the elvis costume as well, but lost and unseen in that sea of flashery. He took but two fingers, appeared as though he was fidgeting, adjusting the tiny object, but what he was really doing was using magic to be a monumental bastard.

Magical items had a variety of uses. The sacred eye that he fiddled with was once a talisman of importance, that begged people's confidence and helped make the world a bit better. Now Eeth used it to see through women's clothing. There was no change in the look of his eyes, or any of that really, just one moment clothing became unimportant, unseeable for Eeth. Which is where he decided he quite enjoyed the woman's more unmentionable sections.

"Dont mention it dear. While the soaked look might work extremely well for you, the books probably wouldnt have enjoyed it much. If it helped you be more presentable at work, fantastic, you must tell me where it is you idle away your time for money."

Cigarette smoke trailed upwards to the ceiling, the man calmly puffing away on the little stick. Sure it wasnt right to smoke inside a school, let alone books, but one also wasnt supposed to use magic to look at pretty girls naked. So we've already established that Eeth is a bastard, so what could it hurt to break a few more rules.

"Your world lacks passion? Such a shame. Every girl's life should be full of that raw emotion. Jealousy and hatred are alright in moderation, put pure simple passion...mm, I think you could use a bit more of it."

"I don't know though, it does say something for Romeo's character that he stayed with Juliet after she supposedly died and even went as far as to follow after her... a little crazy, but still somewhat touching." Sakura admitted with a small nod. The point was and still is, that even if he was slightly fickle in the beginning he chose to follow Juliet even when he thought her to be dead; if that didn't prove his love then what would? Sakura most certainly didn't approve of the balcony scene being as iconic as it has become; but she couldn't deny that the ending seemed to clear up his character.

Looking down at the forgotten book she had selected Sakura quickly ran a hand over it to clear away any water droplets that may have fallen on it. The last thing she wanted was to damage the great works of William! Setting the book aside she smiled and leaned down to rifle through her bag for a moment. With a small business card clasped between her fingers she straightened back up in her seat and extended it across the table to him.

"Actually, I have a few jobs, but this is where I work Monday through Friday nights. It's a small little tea shop, not nearly as large as this place but just as good if not better..." taking another sip from her cup she nodded at the card. "If you ever stop in just give the hostess my name and she'll seat you in my section."

Tracing the side of her cup she stared down into it's contents wondering what to say next. Did her world really lack passion? Most of the time she seemed to be giving others passion without receiving any herself; but could she say that? Would that even make sense out loud? Probably not without delving into her miserable past with the opposite sex, which Sakura really wasn't that enthusiastic about talking about. Shaking her head slightly she let her eyes roam about the room, maybe it would be easier to answer if she didn't look at him directly.

"Oh, my world has...or at least, had passion. My priorities have just shifted in the past few months...passion just doesn't seem to be an option for me right now. Most of the time it just leads to more problems than I need, so I'm giving it a little break." she stated with a small humorless laugh.

"He knew her for less then a day then he married her, then he ditched her. There is no real judge of character to kill yourself for a girl you only knew for a day. It was horrible judgment on his part to kill himself over a girl he only thought was dead. Of course he doesnt take all the blame, Juliet was the one that got hitched to him over five minutes of romance, just to really scorn her parents." Eeth shrugged, it was his take on things. They were just two dumb kids who had no self control and didnt think of waiting a day before doing something incredibly stupid. Not just once, but a whole assload of times.

The business card caught his attention enough. It was slid over the desk, not handed to him, a woman hinting about avoiding physical contact? Or perhaps she just was playing with his head. Or it meant nothing. No option was really good to focus on, so Eeth dropped that thought all together and picked up the card, sliding it into his palm and reading up on it. She kept talking, about her section at the tea place and he nodded absently. It would be something to do of course, if he gained a critical failure here while talking to her. Then however he would only be able to apologize in good taste. Rather annoying really.

"I'll see if I can visit there." He said it plainly, though it might not be true, sliding the little business card into his inner coat pocket. It would keep it safe enough, not like it would fall out. He smiled back at her and took another sip of his tea, ignoring the smoldering cigarette between his lips as she spoke. Finally they were on a topic that he knew more then a little something about.

"Miss Sakura, passion is not an option you choose. Passion is something that happens, that exists. That fills your life. And you my dear..." He pulled the cigarette out of his lips, holding it to the side as he moved closer to the young girl. His eyes focused in on her then, something overly natural running through his brain. "...will always get passion."

Thats when he did it. The dumbest thing he could do at the time. He leaned in to try and kiss her.

"I understand what you mean and where you're coming from but still... it was supposedly 'true love at first sight'. The way their eyes met across a crowded room and suddenly Romeo knew he had to be close to her. I'm not saying that it wasn't a rash decision but their actions seemed to be more out of love and desperation rather than lust and desire. Plus, if Juliet was simply doing all of this to spite her parents then I highly doubt she would kill herself for Romeo in the end...I don't care how strong the 'five minute romance' was, there's no way she would have killed herself over it."

Sakura observed the way he inspected the business card and wondered if he would actually bother showing up or if he would just throw the card away when he got home. No, he didn't seem the type to do that but then again he didn't seem the type to go out of his way and visit her at work either. Nevertheless she left the offer open to him and gave him a friendly smile to show that she meant it. Perhaps he would surprise her the way Lucifer had; but she wouldn't let her mind wander off on that now.

Drinking the last bit of tea in her cup she placed it back down on its saucer while listening to Eeth speak about passion. He was certainly handsome enough for Sakura to realize that he knew a great deal about the subject; but how could he decide how much passion her life should have? Glancing up at him she realized he was moving forward causing her breath to hitch in her throat.

"In my expirirence passion simply leads to pain..." she whispered while slowly leaning back againgt her chair. When she no longer had anywhere to retreat to she began to tip her chair backwards, trying desperately to squash the part of herself that wanted him to kiss her. Had they not JUST been talking about five minute romance and the difference between love and lust?! What exactly was he trying to do, contradicting himself so obviously! If she were anyone else she would probably have smacked him; but she was Sakura, the idiot.

Sakura could feel her face heating up and she knew in a matter of seconds it would be a lovely shade of beet red. As his face moved even closer to hers she could smell the heavy scent of cigarettes on his breath... and then she was falling. Her chair had finally been tipped a little too far back and was now about to slam against the ground. With a gasp of surprise her hands flew up out of instinct and gripped the front of Eeth's jacket in an attepmt to not fall over.

"Buh." That was the single most intelligent thing Eeth could say at this moment. Simply because he had been grabbed by the coat and pulled by a rather pretty girl down on the ground. He was brought down with her, and through some strange twist of fate, not ontop of her. A situation Eeth cursed having missed, but the girl probably found quite more to her liking. After all, who likes a smoking drunk british man ontop of them and trying to kiss them? Erm...okay, a man like that who isnt David Bowie. Freakin' David Bowie gets away with everything. He is possible the one man on the planet who cannot commit rape, simply because no one says no to Bowie!

Well, after hitting the ground with a slight whump. The man tried to sit up, staring around a bit, more then slightly confused about this entire thing. It took him a moment to compose himself, for somewhat intelligent thoughts to come around into his head again. Sadly we really strain the word somewhat when talking about his thoughts, at least what he let out of his mouth. Hard work to convince people he was nothing but a clod made it wonderful that they wouldnt believe who he really was.

"Sometimes I cant figure out you luv. Combining an 'I dont want to kiss' with 'get down here on me'. Should at least have bought you a pint first." No, it didnt have to make sense. When did Eeth ever make sense. He just smiled at the pretty girl, who to him wasnt wearing any clothes at all. The wonders of magic.

BANG! Sakura's chair clattered against the ground sending her tumbling backwards. Quickly she released Eeth and mentally scolded herself for even reaching for him in the first place! Why had she even grabbed him? It had been a natural reaction to keep from falling...yes, that sounded about right. Sakura had almost given in to the tiny voice in the back of her head saying: 'Let him do it!' Fortunately she was smart enough to block it out at the last minute. The last thing she wanted was a repeat of her last intimate encounter with the male species. Sakura needed to remember that the next time he advanced, that is, if he would try after this fiasco.

Groaning softly she poked at a tender spot on her head while sitting up. Somehow she managed to do a rolling flip to land once again on her head and smack it rather hard. Sighing she pushed her dress back down and tried to straighten herself up. As soon as Eeth spoke her face bloomed into a brilliant red color and she scrambled to her feet looking anywhere but at him. The last thing she had been trying to do was look fickle. When she had said no she meant...well, most of her meant no! Grabbing him was a complete accident.... she continued to chant in her mind while trying to figure out who she was trying to convince more.

"I meant no...but I was falling and I wasn't thinking so I reached out and you were already so close that you were the first thing I touched..." Sakura rubbed her arm slightly while offering her hand to help him up. "...so I grabbed onto you not expecting to bring you down as well. I really am sorry about that." she said with a small apologetic smile while helping him up.

"Oh, didn't you just have a cigarette in your hand..." she stated more than asked before bending over and searching the ground for it. When Sakura had reached for him she hadn't even remembered the smoking cancer stick that was in his hand. Reaching back she pulled her slightly disheveled hair from her face and gently touched the bump growing on the back of her head while continuing the search for the lost cigarette.

"Sorry about what?" The grand idiot Eeth took her wordless offer and stood up with her assistance. Once he got back to his full and proper standing height, the man gave a sly smile that could only come from someone like him. Someone devoid of all logic and common sense on a situation but determined above all else to press on and complete the insurmountable task he had put before himself. "Sorry that I got to fall down and spend a little time rolling about with a pretty girl? Well, I guess if you're really sorry I can always use a kiss to feel better."

HAHAHA...no. That probably wasnt going to happen, but you gotta admit it was a nice way to turn it around again. He had a grand goal and was working towards it, even when he screwed up and silly things happened. Control your destiny puny human! CONTROL IT! Getting a little incoherent here, so anyways.

"Hmm." His left hand scratched behind his ears, and when it returned the smoldering cigarette was between his fingers. This was not a power so much as a transdimensional noncorpreal (in this universe) being that controlled the very reality around him, being far too lazy to explain the probable whereabouts of the original cigarette and what Eeth would do with such a thing. It was just easier for this being to warp the very fabric of reality around Mr. Hellsing so the cigarette returned to his hand. If that explanation makes any sense to you, then I'm afraid you have been reading far too many comic books.

"A kiss would make a good apology." Oh you not so sly dog you.

What did he just say...? Sakura thought while slowly straightening back up from her search. Did he just say what I think he said?!? her mind screamed out as she moved her hands over the front of her dress, trying to straighten out imaginary wrinkles. Even after his last attempt had ended up with them both on the floor he was still at it, as if she hadn't already said no to him in the first place! It was as if no one had ever said 'no' to him before; but there was a first time for everything right? Sakura looked up at him to tell him exactly what she thought about his idea...which was big mistake. Why were the touchy guys always the most attractive ones? Was Sakura really so much of a girl that she couldn't reject a good looking guy even if she knew he was no good for her? But we did have a nice conversation... her body tried to persuade her to give in but her mind wasn't having any of that. The two conflicting sides caused her to do what she always did when she was unsure of something: babble aimlessly.

"A kiss? You mean like a Hershey kiss? I suppose those would make for a good apology as well as a tastey treat, unfortunately I don't have any of those with me right now." she said with a small laugh. What in creation posessed her to think of that kind of a kiss? Oh but the worst was yet to come as her nerves began to fade into the back of her mind to be replaced with her earlier frustration. Getting her motor-mouth under control she looked down at her sweater and tried to think of what to do now.

How had she allowed herself to once again be nudged into an awkward position like this? It always seemed to happen when an attractive guy came onto her. Half of her wanted nothing more than to ravage him, but her smarter half knew that, that would be the worst idea ever. Unfortunately the last three times the former half seemed to destroy the other and take over completely; which seemed to be the source of all of her problems! How could he, an almost stranger, make her feel so uncomfortable?! Her cheeks flamed slightly as her eyes fell onto the buttons of her sweater...a kiss... Suddenly her eyes went wide and her mind made a plan...

"Oh, you mean a kiss kiss? I think I can manage that..." she said with a bright smile before stepping right up to him, leaving less than six nches btween them. Locking eyes with him she pulled the bottom button of her sweater off with a small 'POP' and leaned up on her tip-toes to get even closer to him. Taking his hand she brought it up between them and pressed the button into the palm of his hand before closing his fingers around it. The left side of her mouth twitched slightly, as one of her eyebrows rose up.

"There you go, a personal kiss from me to you..."

A Peter Pan joke really? The elder man eyed her suspiciously for a moment. A brief moment before he smiled and accepted the button. He only had a single brief reply on the matter. One that actually made quite a bit of sense. "Thank you for the kiss, pity I dont have a thimble for you."

Wait, Eeth actually knew Peter Pan? No. He had only seen Hook a few times. He liked Dustin Hoffman, shuddup. It was a small enough gesture but for now, it would do nicely. If he complained it would be a total annoyance, but quietly accepting it, continuing the joke and keeping up with conversation made him look like a nice, fun guy. It made it closer to his goal of a real and proper kiss. Now if only it had been the upper button or two, those would have been nice to pop off. Okay, that made Eeth sound horrible, but it was a blatant truth. He would have loved to see them come off.

"At least my shadow picks the prettiest of girls to come see." Not romantic at all really, but hey, worth a shot for him.

So he got her little joke afterall? Well, that definitely got him another good mark in her book. Though the suspicious look in his eyes made her slightly skeptical; but she had taken him off guard, so perhaps she deserved his suspicions. At least he wasn't giving her the look that said 'wow, you are crazy'. Eeth was even going along with it! Maybe she had once again jumped the gun slightly in her judgement of him, perhaps he was just poking fun at her. Just when she thought she had an idea of him, he changed it up on her!

Taking a step back to put a little space between them she smiled and laughed lightly while shaking her head. "A guy like you with no kisses on hand? Inconceivable..." she said jokingly with another small laugh. Sakura's hands fiddled with the bare place on her sweater where her button had been, just to have something to do. Then all at once her mind smacked her and she was laughing again.

"Never give up huh? Well your shadow is very sweet, I wish I could give him kiss..." she said while looking down at his shadow on the floor.

"I guess I can take a kiss for my shadow. Of course then I'd owe you two of them." Oh Eeth. That wasnt such a bad idea. Then again he has done some really bad attempts at flirtation. Though it would be more then utterly clear soon that he wasnt going to get any from her, there was no point in that ruining his fun. Hell, most girls just slapped him, but he still got a laugh. And this one didnt seem completely useless. She was smart enough on some things, a bit klutzy but that would do just fine. He just had to test her tolerance for bullshit. What was a Mr. Hellsing to do to test such a thing?

Oh right. Be the Eeth everyone expected.

He took a step forward, removing the space she had created, and then another step, removing whatever distance could have been between them before. He put a slender hand on her shoulder, a kind gesture normally, here it was no worse then seeing her in a weird light. The british bastard smirked as he gave one final bit of advice before went in for a massive failure. Oh yes, Sakura would undoubtedly reject the advances, he just had to see how she'd do it. That was the only mystery out there.

"Well. If I owe you a kiss, best give you one in all proper." Eeth leaned in, his smirk curling into a softer kiss, though his eyes didnt close when he leaned in. It was unlikely that the kiss would even land. But what was an Eeth to do?

Eeth really did give true meaning to the phrase: Never give up, never surrender! Sakura had managed to successfully dance around his advances since she met him. She didn't think she was leading him on, yet he continued to smirk and try to make his move on her. What did she need to do to make him understand that she wasn't interested in him that way? Sakura was all for being friends but Eeth didn't seem like the type of guy to have a lot of girls as friends. At this point it was either hit him over the head with a shovel or give the man what he wants and make a run for it afterwards. Could she go with the latter of the two? Was there even a latter option?!?

Sakura tried to take a deep breath of fresh air in an attempt to clear her mind; but where had all the air gone to?! More importantly, where had all the space she had just created gone to? God, how did he manage to get so close so fast? Glancing at his hand on her shoulder she grasped for something, anything to say that would get her out of this one; but nothing came to mind immediately and he had already begun his descent towards her mouth. Biting her bottom lip for a second she leaned slightly back before making a decision. Leaning forward she gave him the kiss he wanted...on his cheek.

Sakura had managed to lean forward and drop a small kiss right at the corner of his mouth and the top of his cheek. Please say this is good enough... I can't keep dodging for very much longer... her mind groaned slightly. "One for your handsome shadow..." leaning to the other side she kissed his other cheek as well almost exactly the same, "...and one for you." she said with a small smile before stepping back and locking her eyes on a book shelf just behind him. Did I really just do that...?

She didnt call him on it? Damn. Worse then that really was that it was a half hearted kind of kiss that one would give their grandparent. The man took a step back, while deep down he was bothered by it, such an idea wouldnt show on his face. But rather, even if it was a concern for her, it would be misconstruted as his sadness for not receiving a proper kiss. Her bullshit tolerance was far too high to be of great use for what he had originally planed, but perhaps she would be helpful in other ways.

"Why thank you miss. My shadow that remains more handsome then myself, will smirk forever at the flattery you gave it." He took another step back, his fine shows pounding against the ground as he returned to the table, lifting his teacup up and sipping remains of it. It had been resting there, uninterested of the shenanigans that was occurring around it. A cup of tea had nothing to care about when it came to humans, when it came to broken romance, unwinning love and unfortunate drama. It couldnt care if you took ten hours to drink it, or ten seconds, it would simply be drunk.

One could sit back and admire the tea. Because it was truthful, it was plain, it was obvious and honest. The sad fact was that consuming the tea didnt make the drinker any more honest, any more normal, it didnt change how they saw the world. But it should have. The cup of tea had things right, dont worry about the world, just be what you are. Sometimes you could be envious of tea.

Had that really just worked? Was he really finally giving up on the conquest? Well, he was already walking away from her and back to the table...shouldn't that be agood thing? Wasn't this the part where she was supposed to relax because she was in the clear? No more advances or smirks, hadn't that been what she wanted. Yes, it had been exactly what her mind wanted and it wa currently throwing a party inside her head. Unfortunately her body was still on-board the Eeth train as she was sure many, many others girls had fallen prey to. In the end, as much as part of her wanted him, Sakura knew it would never lead to anything worthwhile and she was glad she continued to politely reject him.

Trying to unstiffen her body she walked back over to her chair and wondered what time it was. Even if it was still storming outside she had to eventually find a cab to work. Opening her bag she ruffled through it before pulling out a pocket watch and checking the time... Sakura had about forty-five minutes to change into her uniform and make it to work on time. Looking out the window she noted the ever present rain clouds and sighed softy, it wasn't like they were going to get much business in this weather anyway. By the time she got there for her shift her boss would probably decide to close up and send her back on her way; but nevertheless she had to go in.

Slipping the watch back into her bag she smiled slightly and looked back over at Eeth, "Sorry, I'm afraid I need to be on my way if I want to make it to work on time. Rain or shine my boss will still get angry if I'm late." she stated with a small laugh while reaching into her bag and pulling out a few bills to take care of the tea she had. Closing her bag she placed it over her shoulder and adjusted the straps so they wouldn't catch any water when she went out into the storm.

What now? Was there a proper way to say goodbye to the man she had just meant and had a...well, an interesting time with? Sakura had given him her card to the shop, but she realized that he would more than likely never go there. He would go back to his house and toss his jacket into the laundry without a second thought, the card would be ruined and she would never see him again. Not that it matterd or anything...

Still though, she walked over to his side and extended her hand in a friendly gesture, "Thank you for your company and the dry clothes Eeth. It really was a pleasure to meet you and share a conversation."
