Ahh, Fridays, the last day of the week. Where everyone is a tad more upbeat because they know that their long, god awful week will soon come to an end! They spend their day doing the most minimal level of work, spending most of their time staring at the clock, waiting for the hands to reach that magical point that indicated the end of the work week and the beginning of the weekend. At AHS it was no different. Students were in greater spirits today than they had been most of the week, though that was like saying they were just mauled instead of being ripped to pieces. It had been a rough week for the students with the threat of death by freed H-Block inmates and the whole President Krauser getting torched thing. After that happened, the news people came in droves, their vans parked outside the gates as they did reports and stories on the school. However, after what had happened at the Capital Building, they didn't dare go through the gates, they valued their lives after all. Ryu knew about the goingons in America, but he wasn't focusing on it too much. He knew that there would be repercussions and somehow the school (and Metas as a whole) would get blamed for it, but until then, his attention was focused on protecting students. As he casually walked around the courtyard, he kept his eyes opened for anything out of the normally abnormal. Now, since it was early in the morning, around the time the students were on their way to class, Ryu got to watch the courtyard fill up with students. Being taller and generally exuding an aura of being older than those around him caused Ryu to be stared at. A lot. Some were googly eyes from the females and who could blame them? Ryu was really damn handsome. And some were from the male student body wondering who the old guy was, thinking he might be a pedophile or something. Assholes. ANYWAYS! As Ryu was on the lookout, he couldn't help but notice the, uhh, "blessings" of the female students as they milled about. More damn curves than a go-kart track. Mother Nature was not that friendly during his generation, the bitch. Ryu:~Where was all this when I was 14?~ Ryu was then torn from his thoughts as his stomach began to grumble. Now, Ryu's stomach rumbles were not like normal peoples' stomach noises, no, his were epic. Maybe not loud enough for everyone to hear, but anyone in a 5 foot radius of the young man would've heard it. And Ryu's stomach was pissed, pretty much screaming "Motherfucker, put some shit in me!". Ryu placed a hand over his stomach and sighed, his shoulders slumping. He was really hungry and he wanted to pick up something to eat in Soylent Hall, but he was needed here, so he couldn't leave. Ryu:"So hungry..." For those keeping track at home: Ryu + Hunger = A Very Sad Ryu. |

Daily discipline. Daily routine. Some despised this way of life, but Misato didn t. Every day, she was having her jogging and training around the lake, then returned to the dorms and cooked something on the small electric stove she had imported in her room. Then she had a shower then went to the classes. And when there were no classes, she had a talk with Erin or payed a visit to Adrianna, or looked after her boyfriend Levhanti. Routine had its good sides, really. It helped her to not being worried about future or about what was going on in USA, her homeland. Sometimes, she wished that she was born here in Japan. It would have made some things way easier. But she had to face it. She was a fugitive in USA, and the recent events were concerning her a bit. So far, FBI or Interpol hadn t looked for her in Japan -or maybe not at the good place. Noone had believed in her story about another woman possessing her, and killing people with your bare hands and "an extreme savagery", wasn t considered as a super power in USA, should it be to defend your own life. Maybe this was why they had never looked for her in AHS. But now, a meta human had caught the attention of everyone, and great powers like USA would probably pay more attention to AHS. Knowing the american politics, it wouldn t be long before they send investigators, commissions, spies, and other things like that, to estimate the japanese meta human threaten. This wasn t good for Misato. 2 years ago, her face had appeared in many newspapers with mentions like "dangerous kid", "the girl who killed five", "Misato, the monster behind the mask". If americans took interest into AHS, they would probaby soon locate her. And this meant penitenciary again. No way. She was 18, she had built a new life in Japan, and she wouldn t renounce to it so easily. Of course, it was a bit selfish from her to think about herself first, but anyone would have done the same. Her dark thoughts didn t give a break to her, as she reached for the courtyard, after a 5 miles run. What if they spotted her? What if they tried to take her away? She had abandonned Adrianna once, and her adoptive sister had entered depression. What about Levhanti? He would probably fight any guy trying to bring her back to America. More, what would the students think when they would learn about her past? Of course, they all weren t white oysters either.... Many meta humans had blood over their hands, and judging from the recent events, it wouldn t stop before a long time. There was a man standing in the courtyard. He was a bit too old to be a student here, but, judging from his aura, he was a meta human for sure. Misato detailled him as she ran towards him. She didn t think she had ever saw him around. A new teacher, maybe? Anyway he was standing here considering the soylent hall and people around. He looked a bit lost, to tell the truth. Misato -asian girl with long ebony dark hair attached in a long ponytail, an athletic body and quite a cute face, probably another blessing to Ryu s eyes- Stopped running a few meters away from Ryu, then asked: "Excuse me.... are you looking for something? Maybe I can help?" Despite her asian look and the japanese language, her accent betrayed her origins. And talking to strangers wasn t this surprising from Misato. She wasn t the shy asian girl type. |

Hanabi sighed, leaning against the wall of the courtyard and taking a moment to collect herself. Finally, it was Friday. Her first week at Anime High School had been tiring to say the least, what with all the events going on in the world. This was her first week away from the clan house, and already she was beginning to wonder if things would have been better had she never left. Her father had been so diligent in his calls for the first few days, that it wouldn't surprise her if she looked up right now and saw Shikikawa summons spying on her from the rooftop. She looked up once, scanning the air around her just to make sure that none of the clan had been dispatched to keep an eye on her. Really, she had always considered herself a proper Shikikawa daughter, but even she wanted to escape her family's hold once in a while. Although right now, given the current events in the world, she probably would have wanted her family with her... "Something wrong, dear?" asked a somewhat motherly voice. Hanabi looked up, seeing a green-haired fairy about the size of her hand hovering in front of her face. She put on a smile for Parisa, her sunny expression returning to her. Parisa and Serafeim had both become more concerned for her as the week wore on, although they showed it in different ways. Serafeim had become more strict and protective, while Parisa had become more motherly and caring. "I'm fine, Parisa, just tired. It's been a long week." she said. "You should rest, Lady Hanabi," said Parisa, flying over to the side of her head and carefully tucking a stray strand of Hanabi's blond hair behind her ear. "It's the weekend soon, isn't it? You'll get a chance to relax then." "I suppose so..." said Hanabi, a hint of uncertainty creeping into her voice. The news of the United States President's death at the hands of a meta-human had spread all over the world, even to Japan. The day it happened, she received calls from both her brother and her father telling her of the news. Meta-human...The term had only been coined sometime ago, and her clan had been practicing their summoning arts in secret for centuries. Her brother was mostly worried that some impulsive young clan members would get involved. Her father was worried that her presence at Anime High School would draw unwanted publicity to the clan. Both worries were not unfounded, and Hanabi found that they lingered on her mind most of the time. If things heat up, could she do what was right while not compromising the ideal of the proper Shikikawa lady her father had groomed her to be? Parisa seemed to notice her worries, because the next thing she knew, the fairy was running her small hands through Hanabi's hair the way a mother would do to a frightened child. Hanabi turned towards her, noticing that her summon had a worried expression on her face. "You know what will cheer you up?" asked Parisa, looking at her, "Those cookies you bought earlier." "Oh, that's right! I forgot about those," she said, digging in her bag and pulling out a small paper bag. She had bought these cookies earlier during her lunch break and had completely forgotten to eat them. Parisa smiled at her, flying in front of her face again. "Mou...Lady Hanabi, if it wasn't for me and Serafeim, you'd forget your own nose," chided the small fairy. Hanabi smiled brightly at her, taking a chocolate cookie out. She was about to bite into it when she heard a sudden growl. Hanabi looked around for the source, her eyes widening slightly when she saw an older-looking man with his hand on his stomach. He must have been really hungry if his stomach growled that loudly. Compared to that, she really didn't need her cookies. "Do you want these, onii-san?" she asked, walking over to him and holding out her bag of cookies. Another girl was also approaching. She looked Japanese, but her accent seemed to tell of origins somewhere else. A foreigner? She had never met one before, but then again, because of clan tradition she had seen very little of the world outside her clan house and her old school. "He's really handsome, huh?" whispered Parisa in her ear, coupled with a few giggles. Hanabi sighed inwardly. Sometimes, Parisa was just too much... |

Rrgh. Tousled, shoulder length blond hair. Dirty clothes, with a hint of a light frost over them. Unfocused, ice blue eyes. There was also a hint of bags under those eyes, and the fact was, Mark wasn't really looking too good. There were also other stuff around him that would attract attention. The shotgun was slung over his shoulder, and he had a permit to carry it around. But then again, there was also the knives, the pistol, and then you could add his powers and skills. Even by AHS standards, that was a little bit much. Most people kept with one weapon of specialty, or several that encompassed one fighting style, Mark kept with the style the Marauders used: Fight anywhere, at any range, any time and anyhow with anything. He kept gear that would keep his opponent guessing. Glancing to the roof, he couldn't see Linda. That was a good thing, she had been lying up there for a while now. Watching over AHS with her silent sniper scope. This was after the night, spent awake on patrol in the dorms and on the dorm roof. Stupid H-Block for bursting open, spewing forth a mass of psychopaths, murderers, and whatever kind of meta-human criminal that would... simply be very, very troublesome when set loose in a highschool environment. He, and the few who stood to answer the call, were the ones that would protect this place. His home, his family, a love of his life and his job. All were situated in or around AHS. Mark's fist clenched with what little strength he had left. Then it relaxed as he reached into his pocket and started to sate his own rumbling stomach. He pulled out the energy bar, ripped the packet open and chewed the tip off. It was a mix of grains, dried fruits and nuts, combined with a mix of sugar and honey. The bar felt good when it tumbled into his stomach. Thank God for foresight. Leaning his head back, he looked at the sky and sighed. "Need water, yeh?" Grinning in dizzy happiness, he asked the sky a question... odd, even by AHS standards. Mark looked back down, and scanned the area. There was a visible whirlpool of attention, and the guy was old. By highschool standards, anyway. The mercenary recognized the guy from the same night he was called, and the person's name was Ryu. The guy was responsible for many things, he was capable of a lot of things. But all up, he was a fighter on the AHS team, and he was another friend, brother in arms. The guy was also there when he stepped into the portal that took him on a trip to North America. Then there was the girl who was talking to a little fairy. Familiar, perhaps? No matter, they were in a good relationship, although he idly wondered who had the more mature personality. He looked around, and then saw Misato, from Survival Skills. Nothing special came from that, unlike back in PCL. That was a very interesting class, seeing what he had ended up with... a good friend... and someone who taught him what it meant to be a teenager. Not much else caught his attention. Now to see what happened. If it got violent, he'd step in. If it got interesting, he'd step in. If it got violent and interesting... well, it would be fun. |

It had taken Marina a full day to leave things in order back at their place. Jake was such a chaotic man... but that was one of the things why she loved him so much. After their little chat about the upcoming future for metas (and aliens most likely) they had decided to come to AHS, the world's meta central. There they both had powerful allies and some old friends. People around here should have to know something more about the whole mess that was US right now. Yeah, it seemed like the best idea. Upon her arrival, several cameramen and reporters started pestering her. It all calmed once she grabbed the hilt of her blade. After taking a deep breath, Marina entered the magical gates the school had, which looked like fortified walls to her. It didn't matter how many times she came back, AHS always looked bigger. She couldn't help but envy the new facilities students had nowadays. Luckily for her, it was still all set around the giaganitc courtyard that had greeted her so many years ago. She even had a fight with Jake here, she recalled. It looked like classes were just starting, and students of all ages and types rushed around the campus. Some of them stared at her while rushing by. Maybe it was the fact that she had a couple of blue furred cat ears sprouting from the top of her head... But they should know what a cat person looks like already. She can even point some out in the crowd. Or maybe was the fact that she had no tail? But that was just race specific. Another guess would have been the fact she looked around 6 or even 8 years older than all of them. Well, maturity is something that reflects on one's face. Marina's face reflected she had been hammered to maturity. Last but not least, maybe her epicly large breasts were distracting them from their chores. The moonian cat woman wore cassual clothes, comprised of slender pants and a matching long sleeved blouse. Around her torso there was a belt, which held her weapon rack close to her back. It also pressed against her rather large attributes, but it didn't bother her. On one side, the hilt of her 8'' long warblade stuck to the rack was visible. On the other she carried a large bag over her shoulder. Jake had agreed to stay around AHS for a while, just in case things got ugly. It was a place she remembered dearly, for it led her to the love of her life. She couldn't just leave them to their own luck. Surely enough, US goverment would end up doing something about what she had seen in the tv a few days ago. Marina, above all things, wanted to avoid another slaughter. She had already seen many lives wated and so much blood poured in vain. She wouldn't let another Kari happen, she promised to herself and then proceeded further into the school grounds. Moving into the crowd, Marina's ears twitched at the sound of a long growl. It sounded like a stomach getting out of control... something she knew of. Jake wasn't around, so it couldn't be him. Then she sensed a familiar scent. The scent of someone she knew. Someone that she owed so much from the days before her graduation. Someone who had single handedly taken some of the worst enemies ever to set foot on AHS. That above all made Marina respect the man, and even considered him a friend even if they had never chatted that much. He was someone she could trust and probably the best one to put her to date with everything that was happening outside AHS. The name of that man was Ryu. She turned on her heels and headed to the general location his scent was taking her. After a few steps, she found the man, standing out in the middle of the crowd like a tiger would among kittens. As always his good looks had brought quite a handful of girls around him. Some things never change, she thought. Walking towards him, she noticed he had his hands on his stomach and that a girl was giving him some cookies. She figured it had been Ryu's stomach growl she had heard a few minutes ago. Too bad she hadn't brought anything to eat along with her stuff. The moonian woman couldn´t help but feel a bit symphatetic for him because she had left some food on her plate before leaving. She leaned against a tree that was behind Ryu, apparently had circled her way around him without notice. That only expressed her respect for him in moonian ways. After leaving her bag on the ground, she turned to him and smiled respectfully. "You look like you could use a good meal, Ryu... Warriors should always have a hearty breakfast..." |

Ryu's focus was on his poor empty stomach, and even though he standing there in the middle of the courtyard and was drawing a lot of attention from those passing by, he didn't really expect anyone to talk to him. So it took him a few moments to register that someone was talking to him. It wasn't like he didn't notice her though. His hunger may have dulled his senses a bit, but he still sensed Misato. He just expected her to running. Nonetheless, it was a pleasant surprise, since standing there was boring, thankless work. He looked over at her, grinned, the same grin he gave so many others in the past, and gave her a friendly casual wave. Ryu:"Nah, I'm fine! Just a little hungry, y'know?" That's when he sensed someone approach him, coming to a stop. Now, normally Ryu would think nothing of it, however, Ryu still had a lot of enemies. People were still angry at him about what he did a few years ago, and Ryu couldn't blame them; Ryu would probably never live the Ryu Incident down. But no matter, what mattered now was the fact that someone was behind him and there was a chance they would be hostile. He spun around, his right hand glowing with energy, ready to strike, and found himself looking down at a student. His hand immediately stopped glowing, as he rubbed the back of his head, trying to play if off hoping Hanabi didn't see his glowing hand. And if she did, hoping that he didn't just scare the shit out of her. Too much. Anyways, she was offering Ryu cookies, which made Ryu happy. Ryu:"Yespleasethankyou!" The whole thing happened so fast. Ryu grabbed the bag of cookies and started to devour them. Killer whales tore apart seals less viciously than Ryu did eating those cookies. It only took him a few seconds to eat every cookie in the bag. Once he was done, he smiled at Hanabi, giving her a little bow. Ryu:"Thanks much for the cookies, although..." Ryu placed a hand on his stomach which was growling, but was much quieter this time. Ryu:"...I'm still hungry. Ah well. So, uhh, what's up?" As he conversed with Hanabi, he sensed yet another person behind him, but this time they did not approach. Sneaking up behind Ryu was incredibly difficult, if not impossible, because of his powers. Anyways, after hearing someone say his name, he looked over his shoulder at Marina, trying to place the face with a name. He honestly didn't remember who she was or if he ever even knew her in the first place. However, he was always for introductions and reintroductions. Ryu:"Yeah, I really should've gotten something to eat, but I didn't get a chance to. Stupid patrolling." |

Hanabi did not see Ryu's glowing hand, however, Parisa did. The fairy immediately straightened up, a serious look taking over her face as she flew forward, stretching a tiny arm out in front of Hanabi as if trying to protect her from harm. Hanabi's eyes widened slightly at this and she turned towards the fairy, afraid for a moment that her summon had finally snapped. "Parisa...what--" she began, about to ask a question when Parisa turned towards her, sending her a look that quieted her. The fairy waited until Ryu finished eating the cookies, deciding that he wasn't going to harm her master, before she flew back over to Hanabi's shoulder and sat down. Parisa continued to keep a watchful eye. Despite her attitude, her duty was still the same as Serafeim's--protect Hanabi at all costs. Hanabi glanced at her summon for a moment, a troubled look crossing her face, before she turned back towards the man who was now identified by another girl as Ryu. He really seemed to be the center of attention right now. She guessed that it had something to do with his age. A lot of the students around them were staring at him, and three of them, herself included, were talking to him. Somehow, Hanabi had the feeling that this man had a lot of secrets. She smiled when she realized that he was talking to her. "Ah, nothing much, Ryu-san," she said, when he asked her what was up. She listened as he spoke with the other girl. Patrolling? Did that have something to do with the events of this week? The president's death and all that...She supposed that it would be naive of her to think that the school would not be affected by it when even her whole clan was thinking of going into seclusion to avoid the effects of these events. "Pardon the intrusion, Lady Hanabi, but Ryu-dono, if you don't mind my asking, what are you patrolling for?" asked Parisa, surprising Hanabi. Despite her lack of formality (at least compared to Serafeim) it wasn't like Parisa to speak out of turn. Perhaps the recent events had affected the fairy more than she thought. She glanced at the fairy for a moment, wondering what was going on inside her summon's head. |

The newcomer replied to Misato: "Nah, I'm fine! Just a little hungry, y'know?" He didn t sound agressive or rude at all, and he had a nice grin. Some men looked better when grinning than smiling, he was one of them. Misato was about to recommend him to him to stay away from the cafeteria -an old habit, true the cafeteria had been restructured and rehabilited recently, or so she had heard. But last time she had went there, she had been turned into a plushie, so she was careful and.... The newcomer had faced off all of a sudden, his aura shattering like crazy, his hand glowing like a little sun to Misato s eyes. Whatever it was, it was powerful! Misato stepped back, expecting the worse.... But the guy s aura stopped shattering as fast as it had started. He calmed down instantly when he saw who was standing behind him. Ok, all meta humans had good reasons to be nervous lately, but this guy had been ready, for a second, to strike at anyone approaching him in the back -she couldn t be wrong. Why was he so tensed? Offering a smile to the girl with cookies named Hanabi, Misato noticed the little creature flying around her. This awoke bad memories in her. Last time Misato had seen faeries flying around, she had witnessed to the global destruction of a village in Scotland. Of course, faeries there had been driven mad by some external influence, but Misato didn t know about it. "Can I have a cookie too?" asked Misato to the guy with blond hair. "I just ran a few miles around the lake and my stomach is asking for a refill! Name is Misato by the way." Talking about it, she needed a shower too.... Ah well, this would wait for a few minutes, Misato wanted to know more about this guy. She wasn t sure why. Call it feminine intuition if you want. This was when a third girl joined the little group.... Huh wait.... Not a girl. A moonian. Misato had met a Moonian already -in some very weird circumstances- named Grim, so she knew they weren t from the neko kind. When she designed the guy named Ryu as a warrior, Misato couldn t help but arching an eyebrow. Moonian standards for warriors were high ones, from what Misato knew about them. If a moonian called Ryu a warrior, she had good reasons to do so, and he deserved the title. "I m surprised to meet a Moonian here." said Misato. "last time it was on some island, but I didn t expect to meet one in AHS. Always a pleasure though. Oh by the way, the name is Misato." This still didn t explain why a moonian and some adult meta human with obviously great powers paid a visit to AHS. Misato was almost certain she had never seen them in AHS in more than one year. Of course, she didn t know everyone there, but she couldn t get rid off the feeling their presence here wasn t simply friendly. The guy affected to look cool and friendly, but his aura denied this appearance, and so was his reaction in front of Hanabi. Something stinked here, and this wasn t her sweat only. Then Ryu mentionned the patrol, and the faerie named Parisa asked: "Pardon the intrusion, Lady Hanabi, but Ryu-dono, if you don't mind my asking, what are you patrolling for?" Misato said: "I ll second this one.... The flying cutie is right here, why are you patrolling in AHS? I mean, meta humans have many enemies around, it s an euphemism to say so.... But AHS is our shelter, someone who isn t from this school probably wouldn t dare to break in.... Or do you have reasons to think the school isn t safe?" Of course, she didn t know that the school had been attacked already in the past. Survivors didn t like to talk about it. There was the memorial, but like many new students, she didn t know lots about the school history -plus she had her own problems to deal with, and a gate between worlds to close, before it freed an army of tengus on our world. By some ways, Misato was still a naïve girl at times. |

The pistol was already wrapped around in a white knuckle grip as Mark almost felt the energy spawn on Ryu's hand. That familiar sensation of energy gathering in one's palm... Issac's was less focused. This guy knew what he was doing. He didn't know what the hell it was, only that it was very, very powerful and he would never want to be on the receiving end of that blast. Artillery would be preferable. But now that the man had visibly relaxed, Mark tucked the pistol back down. Hell, everyone was on a tripwire now. With recent events, as well as the usual tension of knowing that AHS was... well, very high on the list of targets to hit in event of a crisis. They were a singular army by themselves, and that was just counting the ones that knew what to do with their powers. He started to smile. Ragged features pulled themselves together. Things began getting interesting. Mark knew some very fast eaters, but now... well, new record on the bag of cookies. He had to smile a little. The eyes brightened and regained their focus. Who knew what else that guy could do? Finding an empty bench, he stripped down his shotgun and stowed the parts away. Shame he didn't think of it sooner. The larger parts were stowed away inside of his satchel, and some of the more... essential parts were tucked away in pockets. The rest went into the shoulder bag that he carried with him. Mark shrugged it back over his shoulder, hopefully now showing a less threatening profile without the close assault shotgun. The conversations began flowing throughout the three. One looked pretty new to this school, she still had that innocent shine on her. He had to appreciate that. The other was a girl, she seemed to be a little older than your average student, although about the same age as himself. Hmm, but her voice still gave a little bit of naivety. She didn't know about the H-Block, otherwise she would have mentioned it. "Let me add something to that, too. We're also patrolling for those people who aren't smart enough to think past the fact that a guy from AHS put them in jail." The older guy mentioned food again, and after a little digging around in his pockets, Mark produced a pair of energy bars. They were simple ordeals, bars of all sorts of high energy foods wrapped in a light plastic foil. The two bars were half of his 'supply' of sorts, half of the four he hadn't consumed. He gave the two of them a quick toss, the twin bars of solidified chemical energy tumbling through the air. Mark smiled and gave a half salute. Touching his index and middle fingers against his cheek, Mark glanced at the other two. "Here you go. If that doesn't fill you up... I got another pair." |

Marina’s head tilted slightly to a side, once she noticed Ryu had not recognized her. His vague expression hinted that, at least. Well, Marina is known for having good memory when it comes to remembering capable warriors. During the rest of her stay in AHS, before graduating, Marina spent some time learning about Ryu, about his deeds. People talk about that kind of stuff, so it wasn’t hard to get some info. Jake had mentioned Ryu a couple of times, as well. Maybe that’s why she seemed so familiar with him. Good warriors deserve being known of, at least in the Moonian ways. Presenting herself again would have been the best thing right now, but Ryu had mentioned something that made her expression change completely, him being patrolling the school grounds. The students gathered around seemed curious about the reasons, but Marina already knew the answer. She was brought back from her thoughs by Misato, a young student, who introduced herself while mentioning she knew about another of cat warrior’s kin. This above all things made Marina’s face shift to blank. Another Moonian? Well, it surely wasn’t from her family or she would have known about it way before actual arrival. Well, this would be a subject to deal with later. The cat warrior looked at the young girl and nodded acknowledging introduction, names would come later. Right now what mattered was to get some info on the recent events. This was when another student mentioned something about people put in jail. Jail? H-Block perhaps? Maybe she should stop training so much or fooling around with Jake… and start watching some more news. Man, she felt so lost. Taking a look around the students, Marina found some still innocent faces among them. Not all of them had been raised to deal with such things as war, unlike Moonians. Marina couldn’t help but feel sympathy for them. Due to her preocupied nature, she tried to keep them as faraway from this as possible. After turning to Ryu once more, she spoke to him but also addressed Mark, who had just tossed an energy bar towards Misato and Ryu. “You know… this is a delicate subject to deal among students. From the looks of it, not many are ready for what may be in store. And I think it’s better for them to stay like that…. Would you mind coming with me somewhere else… somewhere where we can talk about the matters at hand? I would like you to put me up to date as well, if you guys can… I recently arrived from a really long journey from Asia, so I’m way behind all what’s going on.” She then winked in Ryu’s direction, half a fanged grin curling on her lips. “There used to be a cafeteria around here… I’ll treat you breakfast…” |

"Pardon the intrusion, Lady Hanabi, but Ryu-dono, if you don't mind my asking, what are you patrolling for?" "I ll second this one.... The flying cutie is right here, why are you patrolling in AHS? I mean, meta humans have many enemies around, it s an euphemism to say so.... But AHS is our shelter, someone who isn t from this school probably wouldn t dare to break in.... Or do you have reasons to think the school isn t safe?" That was a fair enough question, Ryu thought. They did deserve to know what was going on if they didn't, since not knowing would probably put them in danger. Ryu:"Well, I'm on the patrol for escaped ex-prisoners! The big Meta-Human maximum security prison, H-Block was destroyed and now all the convicts and people who were held inside are now roaming the country and whatnot." That's when Mark tossed two energy bars. Ryu caught the two bars and looked at them for a few moments. A look of confusion appeared on his face as he wondered how these tiny energy bars were supposed to fill him up. He unwrapped them, shoved them into his mouth, quickly chewed the bars up, and swallowed them. He looked over at Mark and gave him a friendly wave before turning back towards the three young women. Ryu:"Anyways, those H-Block criminals may come here to the school and start murdering students, so I'm patrolling to make sure if anyone suspicious does pop up and goes all 'RAWR, I'm gonna kill everyone' I'm here to stop them." When Marina offered to treat Ryu to breakfast, a big smile appeared on his face before turning into a look of sadness. His shoulders drooped as he shook his head sadly. Ryu:"I'd like to go, but I have to stay here and do the whole patrolling thing.... Lame..." |

OOC: I asked if I could do this and Ryu said it was alright. IC>>>>> (Ahhh...but while they were all talking, it should be mentioned that...we have a guest! Yes... Take a look up there. No, higher. Higher still. Keep going....THERE! You see that black spot that seems to just be standing on thin air like there's no gravity or that he's on an invisible plateau of something? Yeah, that's their guest. He was wearing a black Organization XIII getup and watching the scene below with his arms behind his back. Take note that held behind his back was a katana in an ebony sheath. He simply looked down there, in all his anonymity, watching Ryu beg for scraps. Every now and then, a dark chuckle would issue forth from the obscuring hood. He was like a wraith in that sense, especially since his appearance way up there had been marked with an impulse of darkness, forming a temporary portal of some kind. That portal was long-gone, though he could make another one. Instead, he was alone up there, watching... Finally, after he heard Ryu mention his 'lame' patrol, he could no longer remain silent.) "What's really lame is how someone who can blow up everything like you has to beg for scraps like some kind of whipped dog." (He was down on the ground in a second, removed from the immediate group by a measure of feet, facing Ryu specifically and speaking in darkly-amused voice. He genuinely found this to be fucking hilarious, his chuckles of amusement spilling forth. It was kind of like listening to Sephiroth. And like that cold man, he stiffened up in terms of conversation.) "So, this is what's become of the great Ryu who blew up Chicago. Moping and hungry at his old campus while hunting, in the wrong place, for legitimate members of society who were shunned by ordinary Flat-Scans. You are a pitiful creature, Ryu." (He now began to pace a little bit, back and forth.) "What I don't get is how that works in your head. We freed our brethren from that prison, and you are here protecting your own kind from...your own kind. Why should they even come here? The mind boggles since, oh yes, it was the Flat-Scans who put them in that hole with their so-called justice." (Stopping then, he rested the tip of his sheathed sword on the ground in front of him like a cane, facing them all again.) "Then again, we don't want you to go 'hunt them down', because the real crime would be pitting our own against each other. You following so far? Though your actions are amusing, by no means should you stop." (You couldn't see him grin, but it DID seem as though this would be a proper place to have a wicked smile on his face. What he had done now was not only belittle the high-class meta-human, but explain in no simple terms that True Humans organization have him under observation and know his actions. And furthermore...the things that the black cloak knew about Ryu himself... Deep dark things best left unsaid and yet mapped out like a comprehensive spreadsheet. He was now waiting to see how the crowd would react...and how Ryu would react.) |

"What's really lame is how someone who can blow up everything like you has to beg for scraps like some kind of whipped dog." Ryu was not unaware that Jake was above him. As it was mentioned earlier, rarely, if ever does anyone ever truly get the jump on Ryu. He just, until now, had little reason to acknowledge him. When Jake started to speak, Ryu looked up and followed his movements as he reached the ground. Ryu blankly stared at Jake as he spoke, not showing any reaction to the insults he lobbed at Ryu. Ryu:"Heya Jake. Did I miss something or is the whole cult member look new?" His eyes never left Jake as the young man paced back and forth, but it was more of a lazy gaze, as if he had nothing else to look at. Even though Jake was putting him down, riling Ryu up nowadays would take a lot more than just petty insults. "So, this is what's become of the great Ryu who blew up Chicago. Moping and hungry at his old campus while hunting, in the wrong place, for legitimate members of society who were shunned by ordinary Flat-Scans. You are a pitiful creature, Ryu." "What I don't get is how that works in your head. We freed our brethren from that prison, and you are here protecting your own kind from...your own kind. Why should they even come here? The mind boggles since, oh yes, it was the Flat-Scans who put them in that hole with their so-called justice." Ryu:"I'm hunting them down? Wouldn't that require me to be traveling the countryside, searching for them and generally being...not here? Honestly, I don't particularly care what they do, but if any of them come here and start shit, I'll stop them. I mean, a lot of them are crazy murderers and whatnot after all. And if you're a crazy murderer it doesn't really matter if your victim has special powers or not, y'know? You may think fondly of them or whatever since you're apparently part of The Nation of True Humanity now, but I'm more concerned about the ones who don't really care about religion and salvation and all that jazz. You know, the ones most likely to kill a student then start wearing their skin like a coat or something." Ryu shrugged like it was all no big deal, like it was just another day at AHS for him. However, deep down he was greatly concerned about what he described happening. He was sacrificing breakfast to make sure the students stayed safe after all. Ryu:"Then again, maybe I'm just paranoid?" |

"I'd like to go, but I have to stay here and do the whole patrolling thing.... Lame..." Shaking her head gently, Marina accepted Ryu's appologies. She didn't want students to get too involved in this. But, on a second thought, who would get involved in this if it weren't the students themselves? Surely, there weren't enough graduates to handle everything. And noone in this world gave a coin for metas... Once she thought it over and agreed with herself, she sighed deeply for Ryu had kinda just blurted it all out on the students, anyways. "Well... " Marina was interrupted by a shadowy figure, popping out of nowhere. Her inmediate reaction was to jump towards Ryu and pull both the girls behind her, a good three feet behind the legendary graduate. This took nothing more than a couple of seconds. Before she reached for her blade, Jake's scent hit her nostrils. It's Jake. Despite not having actual cat appearance, Moonian's senses are as good as if they had them. The blue haired moonian loosened up a bit, it had been a day or two since they had last seen each other, and seeing him there eased her soul. Taking a less aggressive stance, she watched both man talk. There she learned Jake knew a lot about this stuff already... why hadn't him said anything to her? That was one for today's count, she thought. The cloaked man indeed sounded like Jake... when he was ubberly pissed off. He didn't seem to notice her... at all. That bothered her, a lot. Intruding into their conversation, she stepped to Ryu's side. "Then again, maybe I'm just paranoid?" "Not at all, Ryu, we've also returned to the school for the same reason. To protect it." She replied Ryu without taking her now piercing blue eyes off Jake. "... And I'm impressed to see you talk like that, Jake... After all what you told me back at the flat..." |
