It was another of those more than usual days off at AHS. Apparently world events were affecting teachers' and administrators' daily routines. Classes were dismissed after roll call to deem students were around school, at the least. Once she had asked the teachers about this, all she got from them was nothing but worrisome silence. Something big was going on here… and it bothered her not to know about it. Trying to get her mind off things, Patricia had decided to go to some secluded ground on AHS where she could freely use her powers without that much distraction. The Arena was a good place to start, or so she thought… but after noticing how much people were there, she opted for finding another spot. The same thing happened everywhere she went around school, and this frustrated her. “Maybe I should just go to my dorm… and throw cards into a hat…” Her self pity filled voice almost inaudible in the hallways, filled with students coming and going in midday activities. After almost giving up, Patricia thought of the nature areas around the school. They should work out nicely enough, she thought. Her skin needed some more sun, after all, she was already losing her vanilla cupcake tan. About fifteen minutes later, she had returned to her room and changed to more suitable clothes. Patricia now wore a sleeves tshirt which slightly revealed her small breasts, gray sweat pants and snickers. Thinking she might end up needing some supplies, who knows how things might end up like, she stocked up a few things in the aluminum case she always carried around. Light things to eat, some refreshments, first aid kit, bathing suit, combat paper… yup, the usual stuff when you practice a lot. Having gathered up her stuff, Patricia then headed out of the dormitories. “Ok… so now that just leaves picking out dest…” She’s stopped right on her tracks by an advertising sign, conveniently located right outside the building’s entrance, in the middle of her path. After dropping the case, Patricia rubbed her head while praying that spot didn’t swell. It took her a second to come to her senses for it was weird she had not seen the post easrlier. She was not the clumsy type. Once her eyes focused again, she took a look at the sign. It held an advertising banner of AHS’ lake. Lots of sun, nice resting places, open spaces to try out your powers… “Hmm… quite convenient, right? Too convenient, if I may say so…” As she pondered about the sign’s sudden appearance, two younger students pass behind her, talking. Student 1: ”You’ve seen Ingrid’s tan…?” Student 2: “Yeah… It looks gorgeous. Heard she got it by sunbathing at the Lake…” Student 1: ”Bathing in that water works wonders for skin as well…” Then their voices faded out as they distanced from the blond girl who had heard it all. Her expression had changed from suspicion to all-out joy, suddenly. “As I said… quite convenient… right?” a beaming smile now showing on her lips. |

Drisk walked up to the sign, not noticing it in the euphoria of his first day at Anime High. The broad grin on his face had temporarily forced his eyes closed, and the only reason he noticed the sign's existence at all was because he walked right into it, causing him to fall backwards. "Oof" he muttered as he hit the ground, and in his head he heard Marius mutter nice going, chuckles Oh, you shut up Drisk thought to the entity, and instead of standing vack up, Drisk shifted the ground around his shoulders into the green semi-liquid that was base matter, and again shifted it, this time into a heightened rock which pushed Drisk up to his feet. Now fully aware of the sign's existence, Drisk scanned it and learned about the lake. The idea of both a place to sit and think AND manipulate the essence of matter itself was very appealing, and the grin returned, although not nearly as big so Drisk could avoid future collisions. This has to be the worst day of my life Marius said darkly YOU get sent to this school, full of teenagers and teachers and so many other possible victims. I; so close to a killing spree of meta-humans, and you're going to waste the whole time NOT giving me control Like I said before, shut up. I'm not like you, killing and pain doesn't give me a sick joy. I want you quiet the entire time I'm at the lake, or I swear I'll get a really annoying song stuck in my head, which you'll be forced to listen to for hours on end Come on, just let me kill one. Look at that person right by you. It's pretty clear that by the look on her face she just got some form of good news. Just the wonderful irony of killing her now might keep me quiet for weeks, if not months. Wow, months without you, that does sound kinda... nope, no way. One, I know you're lying, you'll keep talking anyway. Two, a life isn't wqual to months of supposed quiet, and three, I have no idea who she is, but I can just bet she doesn't deserve to be killed. Oh, you're no fun. |

As she took a few steps to begin her dash towards the lake, still dazed by her discovery, Patricia made little notice of the boy standing by her and ran into him headfirst. Fortunately enough, he was bigger than the blonde gal, meaning only the blonde gal and her case were soon meeting the floor of the hallways. This was complimented by a soft yell and a loud metallic thud. In the distance a few giggles echoed as Patricia’s stuff littered their surrounding area. It was not very Patricia-like to apologize for things like this, even if it was her fault. She was not going to start today, either. Still on the ground, the girl yelled at her ‘aggressor’. Patricia: “WATCH WHERE YOU ARE, YOU MORON!” It was typical of Patty to burst out like that, even if the poor boy was not at fault. Giving him the coldest of the blue-eyed glares, the papermaster considered her possibilities about throwing a couple of cards at the grey haired youngster, but decided otherwise. He would surely try to pick her stuff up, but she would not allow him. He had helped enough already. As the boy tried reaching for a piece of her papers, it swiftly skidded from his grasp and reached her hand. As their eyes met again, she stared at him again prompting him to think otherwise. It was not likely of her to show off her powers like that, she had been taught better. It’s just that she had been so infuriated by the soft giggling behind her back, that she lost her temper… thing that commonly happened with her anyways. Her paper cards moved about the floor, adding the others still scattered about and formed a couple of decks just about the time she had finished picking her other things. Shutting her case with a soft clacking sound, the girl stood up right in front of the taller boy. Patricia: “Excuse me.” This was intended for him to let her pass, she was not going to give him that either. ‘He’ had bumped into ‘her’, after all. Once he did, she steadily marched away from the scene. Sparing one last glance at the boy, and shaking her head in discontent, the blonde papermaster mumbled some rather improper things, barely audible to anyone but her. Patricia: “Hope that lake is as good as they paint it…” |
