The day had start off good until Cain had gotten injured. Then they had rushed him to the hospital to get fixed up. Once he was released they had went to his dorm so he could change into dry clothes. Now Luna and Cain were on their way to get lunch at a nuce little cafe.

The cafe was next to the tokyo tower. It was some what popular but cozy all the same. Not too many people but not desolant. It was one of her favorite. The trip from ASA to here took some time but it was fun all the same. She enjoyed his company even in silence, which was weird. At least to her anyway. There were very few people she could just sit with in companionable silence. Luna felt diffrently about him though and she kew why.

"Here it is," she said motioning to the small cafe. Light jazz music floated on the air from the place. It was warming and soothing.

"Is this place good?" she asked.

Cain was happy around Luna. In a way he still couldn’t believe that she would stay with him after everything that has happened. “This place is just fine.” Cain said as he looked at Luna. “What kind of food do they have?” Cain looked at the restaurant with a strange gaze. It was as if he were scouting the place. It seemed that old habits never die. Even now, his mind was that of a soldier. Even though his past and his yearning for combat were in the back of his mind, he still acted like the youthful soldier from Zimbabwe.

This place is safe, that’s good. I would hate to have to use my weapons in front of Luna. Wait, what am I thinking about? This isn’t a time to think like a soldier!! I’m a civilian!! I need to remember that, I’m not a soldier anymore. Cain stopped himself from looking at the place as if it could turn into a battlefield at the drop of a hat. His mind was disoriented only for a moment. Yet he still knew that the only truth in his life right now was that he felt compassion towards Luna.

Everything he thought he knew about himself was wrong. Before he met Luna, he figured that he would never find his emotions. He believed that he would be the merciless Red soldier for his entire life. Even after he was injured, he still believed that he could only be a soldier. However, after meeting Luna, Cain realized he could be more than just a soldier. He even felt like he could live peacefully. “I don’t eat anything fancy, you think they’ll have something really plain?”

"They sell regular food. It's not fancy and definitely not expensive," she said as they entered the cafe. "You can order whatever you want."

The cafe was a seat yourself cafe. There weren't a lot of people there so it was easy to find a spot to sit and eat. Luna led him to a table near the wall. It was one of her favorite places. Near the table, on the wall, was a painting of a young maiden. She wore a white gown and was walking on the seashore on a moonlite night. Wisps of fairy dust and wind seemed to pull at her hair and clothing. Her face was turned up towards the moon with her eyes closed. The painting was called A Moonlite Ballroom.

A waiter walked up to them and handed them two menus. "What would you two like to drink?" he asked.

"Lemonade, please," she said and looked to Cain for his answer.

Cain looked up at the waited and told him what he wanted, “Water is fine.” Cain didn’t look at the waiter with the same compassionate eye that he had when he looked at Luna. In fact it was more emotionless than ever when he stared at other people. After the waiter left Cain’s stare went back towards Luna and then to the painting. “Do you like the painting because of the moon?” Cain asked out of curiosity. He already knew that Luna enjoyed the moonlight. He too was also fond of the moon, as it was sometimes the only real source of light during the night hours.

The moonlight had helped Cain with his days during in the military. Sneaking through jungles and being able to see an enemy because of the light had been the difference maker between success and failure. He wanted to forget those times however and develop a new fondness for the moon that didn’t revolve around his military career. Cain picked up the menu and began to flip through it, “What are you going to eat?”

Luna was already looking through the menu when Cain ordered his water. She knew exactly what she wanted. Grilled chicken salad. She was use to gourmet food, but she also enjoyed the simple things. She looked at the painting and smiled.

"I enjoy seeing the moon, but it's the whole picture and the artist that I like. She caught the magic of the moon," Luna said. "I'm getting a grilled chicken salad."

She switched her attention from the painting to cain and smiled. She hadn't noticed that when he looked at others, his eyes were expressionless. She only saw compassion and happiness in those eyes.

"What sounds good to you?"

Cain kept looking for the plainest food possible. “I don’t see it in here, at least not by itself.” Cain closed the menu, leaned his head towards Luna, and asked in a whisper, ”Do they have rolls of bread. Not like a sandwich roll, but just a plain roll of bread.” He whispered as if discussing his order was top-secret, it was funny in a way. Watching Cain lean in to whisper about what the restaurant had was a little strange, but that is where the humor lies. ”And, maybe I’ll have some vegetable soup as well.” He was still whispering, but only when he talked about what he wanted to order.

Cain sat back upright again as he spoke in his normal friendly tone, “It will be kind of like the food I ate as a kid, just without the drugs.” Cain made joke, his humor seemed to be strange and possibly dark. It was the way humor was in his childhood, and it is a trait that he will probably have for the rest of his life. “How long until our waiter comes back? I’m kind of thirsty.”

"Yes. It's not listed but they can make you some. They specialize in all types of food," she said.

The waiter brought back their drinks and set them down in front of them. "Have you two decided what you'd like to eat?" he asked.

"Yes, sir. I'd like a grilled chicken salad, and my friend would like a basket of rolls, and vegetable soup," Luna told him. She closed her menu and took a drink of her lemonade.

The guy smiled and took their menus from them. As he turned to walk back to the kitchen, he eyed Luna. She was pretty and since it seemed that she was single, he was gonna check her out. She didn't even notice. Luna was too focused on sorting out what she felt and smiling at Cain.

"What would you like to do after eating? It won't take us all day to eat the food," she said.

When the waiter came, Cain’s vision shifted over to him, his start becoming much darker and cold, like there was a ghost inside of Cain’s eye when he stared at the waiter. Cain did in a way have a ghost inside of his eye; it was the ghost of his past. The ghost was of his anger and aggression. It was the ghost of Red, the merciless, fearless, and angriest soldier from his green bomber unit.

However every time he heard Luna’s voice, his soul calmed down and enjoyed every word she spoke to him. “After we eat? Uhh.... I didn’t think that far ahead. But maybe we could just walk around or something.” Cain really wanted to make Luna happy, but even more so he wanted to tell her how he felt towards her, how he cared. But on top of all that he waited until night when the moon would be bright and Luna would dance again with him. “We can just kind of walk around some of the outdoor places and enjoy the scenery.”

The waiter just brushed off Cain's evil and drak look as jealousy. It didn't matter to him if the man hated him.

Luna thought. Walking around was fun and she could window shop. She smiled and nodded.

"I would like to walk around the town and talk, but there are certain places that we'll have to avoid because of danger."

She looked at the time and smiled. It the headed to the gallery in Domino, she could show him a wonderful artist that could paint his room and make it colorful. The room her and Stella shared was a beautiful art piece. It mixed both day and night along with the cloud, sun, stars and moon. It was wonderful. And magical.

"Do you like art?" she asked.

“Art.... I never really have been asked that before. I guess it’s okay. I mean I never really saw any art during war times and my childhood in general. But I did like some of the artworks I saw when I finally did see them.” Cain was getting back into his talkative mood again. It was the same way at the meadow the first time he met Luna. “I like paintings and stuff. And there was one that I liked a little more than the others, I think it was called a, watercolor?”

Cain gazed at Luna his eyes filled with curiosity, “Just out of curiosity, what parts of town are considered to be dangerous?” He was always curious as to what was dangerous to some and not for others. Even if they did walk into a dangerous part of town, Cain wouldn’t worry for himself at all. But instead he worried about danger for Luna. He wanted to always be around her. He wanted to use his combat training for something good, something like protecting the person he has fallen in love with.

"I don't know what the places are called but I know where they are at," she said. There were so many names they were called that she didn't rememer them all so she just avoded the locations.

The waited brought back their food and placed it down in front of them. Luna gave him a pleasant smile and said thanks. The smile was just a pleasant one unlike the one she gave Cain, which was a affectionate one. The waiter winked at her, but she chose not to notice it as she turned her attention to Cain's reaction of the food. The soup was hardy and the rolls were fresh. A platter of butter and jam had been brought as well.

"So does the food look good?" she asked him.

Every time the waiter came back over Cain was on edge. He didn’t trust the waiter and didn’t like him either. But as soon as he left, Cain returned to his normal state of mind. “The food? It looks really good.” Cain took a roll of bread and bite into it. He didn’t even need the butter or jam for it. “You know, they never served us food like this as kids. I was a green bomber, one of the most hardened child soldier units in the world. We were given dirty soup most of the time and stale bread. And that was if we were lucky.”

Cain took another bite into the same roll of bread. He really enjoyed it. “I used to hear some stories about others that I grew up with. Like how some needed to eat gunpowder to survive. Pretty scary stuff.” Cain dipped the remaining part of the first roll of bread into his soup to absorb some of the vegetable flavor. After eating the last part of his first roll of bread Cain continued. “That was why we killed. It was only another reason we needed to fight. If we didn’t kill, then we didn’t eat.”

Cain ate a little more bread and slurped up some of his soup. He was a hasty eater, yet he was neat. He never left any mess, not even a single drop of his soup escaped his mouth. Not a single crumb of bread hit the table as Cain ate. “I think I’m really starting to like living in this country. It different than my home, but maybe that’s what I like about it.”

She ate her salad as she listened to him. It amazed her that he didn't make a mess at the speed he was eating. He seemed to shovel the food into his mouth. She could stand the hastiness but not the slurping. Years of edict was in her. She tried to ignore it just for the reason that he had been a soilder and manners wasn't the most impostant time. She ate her food slowly. She was in no hurry.

"Cain, the food's not going anywhere and you can have as much as you'd like. You don't have to eat fast. One of these days, it'll give you a stomach ache," she told him.

“Stomach ache? Isn’t that what happens when you don’t eat enough?” Cain ate fast, because he was trained to eat fast. He was but a young child, learning the way a dog learns at a young age. He always ate fast so he could get done quickly and be ready for combat whenever possible. “Anyway, I have to tell you something.”

Cain was getting serious; his smile went away although his eye stayed warm and compassionate. “There is something about you, it makes me just want to spill my guts in front of you. Not in a literal sense but as in I want to tell you everything about myself.” Cain wanted to hold off on telling her that he loved he until they were at the meadow. But he felt that he just needed to know if she would still like him after he told her everything.

“I want to tell you everything that I’ve done, everything I thought about doing, and everything I’m going to do.” Cain pushed his food to the side. “Will you please, listen to my story? “

"It can happen both ways," she said and shrugged. She continued eating as he explained. She was a great listener.

When she noticed he was getting serious, she placed her fork down and listened. It wasn't polite to eat while someone was telling a story. Plus she was interested in him and what he was gonna say. Before he told his story, she wanted to tell him something.

"You can tell me about what you've done and thought about doing. It wouldn't change how I see you right now. Even what you plan on doing won't change my sight about you and your persona. Nothing could change it," she told him.

Out of all the books she had read on romance, she had noticed that the guy was the one to say 'I love you' or something like that. She wasn't sure if he felt that way about her but that was how she felt about him. Smiling she waited to hear his story.

Cain started his tale, “My story stretches back as far as I can remember. It was eleven years ago, I remember, I was five. The grown ups as we called them, like the little kids we were, issued everyone their first handgun. Five was the age of all of my friends, because we all shared a bunker, we were all in the same unit.” Cain leaned in and started to whisper his story.

“When they gave us these handguns, they were broken. Well more like put together. Our first order was to fix it up so that it works. After about a day, we had figure out every competent to our weapons, and those of us who couldn’t figure it out by sunset were shot. I guess that was how they eliminated the weaker ones. After that day we had physical training to tone our bodies for the combat we have to face. The training lasted only for six months, but we needed to get as strong as possible. At the end of every week, they took the weaker one away, the kids that couldn’t keep up with the rest of the group. They were sent away for, ‘the glory of the nation.’ We didn’t know then, but the kids taken from training camp, were strapped with a bomb and sent off as suicide bombers.”

Cain’s eyes grew teary; he didn’t even realize how sad his past was until now. Perhaps it was because he never concerned himself with the victims, not until recently anyway.

“In our country, there was always some war. After our training was over, that was where we would be sent. Children on the frontlines of a battlefield, the older boys were already in the midst of fighting when we got there. That was when the ‘grown ups’ gave us our next orders. We were told to shoot out weapons at the enemy soldiers until they stopped moving. Those of us who didn’t or refused to follow orders were shot. I was only six when I killed a full-grown man, when I took someone else’s life into my hands. We were all so young. Lucky for us, we weren’t regulars on the battlefield. We only killed when the enemy came close to our base, our bunkers were still our home and they would be for another nine months.”

Every so often Cain would pause, to remember his past. He also needed to pause so he could calmly speak, to tell his story without breaking into tears.

“Even though were weren’t regulars yet, we still needed to kill. During those nine months we needed to go out with a small unit led by a ‘grown up’ to kill some enemy soldiers. If we didn’t kill, then we didn’t eat that night. It’s not like they fed much anyway, just some rotten soup and some stale bread. It was a wonder that we survived. After those nine terrible months were up, I was transferred to a different unit. I had finally become a regular. I was only eight years old, and I was already on my way to hell. Being a regular wasn’t much different that being in a bunker. We had some more food, and we went on actual military assignments. We fought on the frontlines and powered our way to victory. Like little devils, we played our games. The time for treats and examples were over for us. The ‘grown ups’ just put some drugs into our food. It kept us under some kind of control; it also stopped us from going insane.”

Cain paused again, he was getting to the darker parts of his past, the parts that were hard to speak of.

Luna listened. The smile that she always seemed to wear slipped off her face. It scared her to think that people would do that sort of thing to children. The children that young was/is prone to violence like that. It wasn't fair in her eyes. They shouldn't have brought them up like that. Should have put Cain though so much pain.

She knew he stopped to take control of his feelings. She was holding back the tears that would surely fall from anger at the country for making little kids into soldiers, and from sadness because of the pain it would cause Cain and his other comrades, if they survived the war.

“My years as a regular were the start of my fury. I was only a regular for five years, but that was long enough to gain a name. Even the ‘grown ups’ would learn to respect me. The first two years of my service was filled with death, destruction, and a struggle for survival. I thought only of myself, fighting to live. I took out men twice my size, because I had learned enough from the combat training. Perhaps I learned too much. I didn’t fight like the others in my unit. They preferred to stay silent, to sneak and assassinate their victims. I was different, I yelled, I screamed, I cursed. I threw off the enemies by screaming and then I would come out with my guns open firing on all the enemies. I had known no fear, and any remorse I might have had as a young boy, was lost. I didn’t care about the lives of the enemies, and most times I didn’t even care about my allies. I had become a monster in the war. I.... I killed in any way I could. I used all the weapons I had at my disposal. Handguns. Combat knives. Fully automatic and semi-automatic riffles. Grenades. Sub-machine guns. Anything that I was able to lift up off the ground, I used. I must have killed thousands of enemy soldiers in only a few years. I was given a nickname and put into an advanced unit.”

Cain stopped speaking for a brief moment. The years he served on the frontlines had turned him into a monster. Luckily it was only on the battlefield that he felt anger pulse through his veins.

“I met the only friend I ever had after my years as a regular were up. I was thirteen and my friend was fifteen. I had become the youngest elite soldier my country had seen. I had named Red, it was a color and a name. I lost any identity I have before that, I wasn’t Cain to them, but Red. It of course was a symbol for them as the color often represents anger and rage, which were of course the only emotions they saw in me. As an elite I needed to risk my life even more often than a regular. I was given better equipment and a higher rank, just so I could kill more. Other than having a partner and a new name, I still felt like a regular. All of that changed though two years later. Red and Blue, legends amidst the green bombers, we had become part of the Special Forces. It was a lot different than being a regular or an elite. We were no longer administered the drugs that kept us under their control. In a way, we were free.”

Cain smile still wasn’t on his face, even though his story seemed to have an upside to it. However he was getting towards the end of his tale.

“We weren’t in the special forces for even a whole year before tragedy came. We were given Intel that there was an assassin in Harare. Our unit split out into groups with our partners. It seemed like nothing more than an ordinary mission. But soon the unit was destroyed. Murdered by the so-called assassins. They were more like demons from what I saw. I was the only one to survive the attack. I managed to kill one of the assassins, but there was a second one that almost killed me. I was saved be a lone sniper. That was one of the worse days of my life. I was injured and kicked out of the military. I thought my life was over. That sniper that had saved me adopted me because I was still a minor. I was then brought over to this country. I’m not sure if I was supposed to end up here or somewhere else because the plane we were on had crash-landed. That sniper died in the crash and I was left here. That’s about it really. I mean I just picked up the language and lived in this place for over a year.”

Cain stopped whispering as he stared at Luna. “Then I met you, and I guess in a way, I found a reason to want to live. I found a reason to not join up with the military again. I found.... happiness.... here as a civilian.” Cain smile returned again by the end of his story. Luna made him happy; it made him feel like he could do so much more than take the lives of his enemies.

Luna listened. The story he told was tragic and saddening. She felt bad for him and yet she didn't pity him. In fact, his story changed nothing. She knew who he was and liked him the way he was. The past just helped him form the kind, caring man he was. The last part left her searching for words. SHe didn't know what to say.

Reacing across the table, she took one of his hands in hers and squeezed it slightly.

"I'm glad I make you happy. You make me happy as well as well as many other things. You shouldn't dislike your past. It made you who you are today. Think about the future and what you wanna do with it. What you would like to do as a career. Who you want to marry. How many children you want. Worry about the future because it depends on you now, not your past," she told him giving him a warm, heartfelt smile.

"Now. Shall we get our bill and start walking around?"

Cain smiled sincerely at Luna. “Yeah, let’s get out of here.” Cain was still holding onto Luna’s hand. “I think I still got some money from when I was serving my time.” Cain took out his wallet and looked inside. He did indeed have money, but it wasn’t a lot. It was enough to pay for a meal or two maybe even three but it definitely wasn’t enough to support him for longer periods of time. “How much should be enough? Maybe like this much?” Cain took out about half his money.

“That should be good.” Cain was smiling; it was obvious he never needed to pay for food in his life. Being in the military had some advantages, such as not needing to buy your own food. “Alright so where are we headed to?” Cain asked while his stood up from the table. He was now full of energy, wide-awake, and very alert of his surroundings. The strange part was that this energy just seem to come from Cain, he didn’t eat much of the food, in fact more than half the soup was still in the bowl and just a little less than half the rolls of bread were left.

Luna smiled at his new energy. She got out her own money as well and together they paid for the food. The waiter seemed a bit unhappy at the sight of Luna holding his hand. He returned the change and left without a glance at either one of them.

"I'm not quite ure where we are going. We'll find out when we get there," she said with a smile.

The two of the left the building and went off to their right, towards the shopping part. It was quiet in the middle of the day. Everyone was at work. A few young mothers were taling with their children as they shopped. It was kind of hard to believe that a meta human school was near and that human with special powers were among the people here interacting like normals humans. Luna smiled at the fact. She knew her blue hair was the symbol of hers. it wasn't a normal hair but she didn't care. Neither did her parents. They loved her for who she was. Unlike some of her family.

"Who you like to go liike for clothes or knick-knacks, or what?" she asked him, turning her happy gaze on him.

Cain walked alongside Luna, a place that he always wanted to stay by. “I don’t know where I want to go. I kind of just want to walk around, not really with a specific place to go. You ever do that, just walking and wandering?” As a boy there was always a destination, a place to go to and now he was given the freedom to wander around freely. He was really starting to enjoy his new life; he could see himself staying as a civilian for the rest of his life.

“So, you know just about everything about me now. I need to know, was it worth it? All those people I had killed without remorse, just to survive. I’m a little ashamed to say that I think it was worth every sin I have committed to make it this far in my life. That doesn’t make me a bad person, does it?” Cain’s past always haunted him, but he just wanted to hear words of acceptance. As if he were waiting for someone to tell him it was worth the many lives that he had ruined in order to come out alive. His conscience bothered him a little, but it wasn’t really to be unexpected with his upbringing.

Luna walked with him. How many times had she walked through this city with no place in mind. Just to walk and let her mind explore the places here. Many times. Once a week or more. She usually stayed on capmus but every so often she would venture out and walk around the good arounds of Tokyo and Domino.

"I do it alot. Especially when I'm thinking. It soothes me, and gives me peace of mind," she told him.

"Do I see you as a bad person," she repeated. Did she really see him as a cold hearted and merciless soldier that killed everyone. No. Not really. He seemed torn up about it. He didn't take pleasure in killing. She could tell by the way he acted. Her nature made her very receptive to people's emotions. Of course having a twin like Stella helped as well.

"No. You're not a bad person. You don't enjoy killing. As a little kid, you could care less because thats what you were taught. But now I think you know why a person should or should not kill. You're past made you who you are today. Granted, it was horrible, but you could've turned out worse. You could've taken a pleasure in killing or hurting people. You would crave blood on your hands. To see the life drain out of a helpless person. To not care whether you lived or died. Or if someone loved you enough to care." Her voice was saddening.

"No. You're not like that. You're different. You didn't let blood lust take over. You've turned to the lighter side of life. The happier one. The brighter one. Where killing is only necessary when you have to protect those you care for or yourself. You're a very caring person. Gentle too. You have a grand future ahead of you, if you just keeping walking the road you're on. If you had taken the blood lust road, you'd probably be dead within a few years. Perhaps, the people would have sold you to an organization. Perhaps you would have been partnered with Adrianna, if the right people saw you. But neither one of you guys are the killing type. You treasure life and those you love."

Now for the answer to his answer that she had avoided answering because she wanted to get that said.

"Yes. I think you had to commit all those sins to become who you are today, but that doesn't matter to me. Only the Cain I know now does."

Cain was silent after that, he was speechless for a little bit before he finally said, “Thank you....” He was happy. He really loved hearing words of acceptance. He was ecstatic about the fact that Luna still liked him even after he revealed his dark past. He was in love with Luna and to hear such kind words really brought a smile to his face. “I’m so.... happy.” Cain couldn’t believe he could ever feel the way he did towards Luna. Now looking back, he couldn’t believe he had lived his life the way he did.

In his past, he could have willingly sacrificed his well being if it meant to win a fight. He had fought for nothing, now he had a reason to fight, a reason to live. Luna to him was everything. He truly loved her. “I’m really.... happy.”

His silenece didn't worry her very much. She knew he was absording what she just said. When he finally spoke, she smiled and looked at him. He looked truly happy, and she could read it in his eyes.

"You're welcome. I'm glad you're happy. After everything you've been put through, you deserve happiness in your life," she told him.

She looked into the shop window they were passing and smiled. It was a lovely ball gown. It reminded her of what she still had to find. All of her gowns were a little too small around the chest area. She guessed that was a good thing because she heard girls talking about how they must wear the same dress a few times because it still fits them, while other girls brag about getting new dresses because of their chest. It confused Luna but it didn't matter.

"Would you like to decorate your room or do you like it being very simple?" she asked him.

“My room? I don’t know.... I guess I never really thought of decorating it. I always spent most of my time outside, whether it be jogging or what not. I suppose I could decorate it, maybe put a few pictures or something on the walls.” Cain was definitely not an in-door person. He spent most if not all of his time outside. He loved the fresh air and working out. He was always a soldier from childhood; it was as if staying in good physical condition and doing military drills were programmed into his mind.

“Well, that can always wait until later.” Cain kept looking at Luna. He was mesmerized by her beauty and kindness. It was as if she always thought of others first. She was a kind soul compared to the monsters Cain was used to being around. The kinds of people he grew up around actually enjoyed killing. It had almost become that way with Cain, or perhaps it had already happened to him. Red had become psychotic on the battlefield. He didn’t care for others, just the mission. He held so much anger, but when he saw Luna, he faded away. Cain was no longer Red, the merciless soldier from Zimbabwe, now he was all that could be seen. He was a kind soul, a loving and caring soul that wouldn’t hesitate to sacrifice himself for the one he loved, for Luna.

Luna nodded. She already knew he was a outdoors person. Stella was too but on the days he couldn't go outside he needed a haven to stay and be comfortable. Thats what Stella had to do. The girl was forever outside until nighttime. Which made sense because Luna was the one who lived for the night.

"What would you like to place in your room? I know how to get your room turned into a nice place. She can paint trees and other nature stuff for you on your walls. It will feel like you're in the jungle or whereever you'd like to be," she said.

Stella and Luna's room was twilight. It included the moon, stars, and sun. Clouds dotted the ceiling but not too much. It made the girls feel at home. Adrianna did call them Twligight children after all. The thought brought a smile to her lips. They were all really good friends. Maybe a family. The artist had very few family members but they weren't related to her in any way.

"Its up to you. We can always look for things, while we're walking."

“In the jungle.... heh, heh, I’ve struggled to stay out of the jungle. It’s a nice thought, but I think I don’t want my room to look like a jungle. I like the nature around here, like the lake and the waterfall and the meadow. Is there anyway I can make my room seem more like one of those instead?” Cain walked and talked with Luna, he was enjoying himself. However, he still waited. He was waiting to the evening to come. He already had everything planned in his head; it would be at the meadow, where he first met her. He would speak of his love for her during a wonderful dance under the moonlight. Cain only hoped nothing else crazy would happen, like another head injury.

Luna nodded her head. There wasn't anything that Adrianna couldn't do with paints or should I say colors. She could even make them come alive. She thought it was cool, but Adrianna seemed tothink it was normals, which would be.

"It can be done. She can even make it seem very really," Luna said.

One of Adrianna's galleries were ahead of them. She had two because she almost owned one because she owned so many paints. The one they were close to held art by many different people. Her art was well known around people. Luna's parents even had a painting.

"Would you like to see some paintings?"

Luna looked at her cell, checking the time. Her friend should be in there by now. She was always in there once a week. Usually on Saturdays. like today, but not always. If Adrianna was in there, he could ask her to paint his room and she could get started on it. She would add a splash of color to his life.

“Paintings? Actually, I would like to see some paintings.” Cain was smiling, just like he normally did. He was almost never in a bad mood. It seemed hard to think that this smiling young teen could have killed so many people on the battlefield. It seemed like there wasn’t a single part of him that was violent enough to kill without remorse. Deep inside him however, Red was still alive. Cain knew it had to be true. It was as if Cain was developing a split personality.

In a way, he really was like two different people. There was the calm and happy Cain that was always around when Luna’s with him and there was Red, the merciless soldier from Zimbabwe. However Cain himself knew about it and knew that it wasn’t ‘Red’ that murdered all those enemy soldiers in cold blood. Cain knew that he had done some terrible things during the war, things that left a deep wound inside his heart and mind. Now however, Cain was recovering, forgetting about his past. He forgot about war, forgot about fighting, and he even forgot about his homeland. When he was with Luna, nothing else mattered than trying to make her happy.

"Ok," she said. "Here's the gallery."

To their left, there was a block building. It was the Tokyo Tower Art Gallery. She opened the door and entered it with Cain. She knew exactly where Adrianna's paintings would be but she wanted to show all the paintings off to Cain.

"These are paintings done by local people. The next floor is foreign artists that are popular. Which would you like to see first?" she asked him.

Near the back of the gallery, a area was filled with colorful paintings and a young woman was studying them.Other people were looking at the paintings as well. They were unusual paintings. Amazing and different at the same time. A painting of a young girl was the newest one. She was sitting beside a river. Her eyes were closed and her mouth was open as if she was singing. The was seemed to move and dance with her music. It a person stared at it long enough they would either realize that the painted water was actually moving or go insane trying to explain it. The paintings were becoming very wanted, but they were rare. The artist didn't over indulge in those type of paintings.

Those paintings were Luna's favorites because of the starry night one that was in the gallery in Domino. It wasn't for sale which delighted her and annoyed other investors. Of course, Luna was a artist as well. She sang, danced, and plaed instruments. Particularly violin, flute, and the piano. She wasn't good at painting, but she enjoyed looking at them. And being with Cain and sharing her happiness and likes with him made her happy.

“The paintings here are all really good, but I just can’t seem to love them....” Cain wasn’t really an artist of any kind and too him the paintings all just seemed the same. “I like paintings of scenery. Maybe it’s just me, but I would rather see things that are in front of me, and not just paintings of what I’d want to actually see, if that makes any sense.” He would rather see whatever is in the painting in real life.

He couldn’t help but like the things he could see in front of him, real things that he could touch and feel. He lost a scene was what art was the day he became a green bomber. “I’m sorry.... I don’t know what art is what and if there is any difference in each of the paintings. I mean, they’re nice to look at but I just can’t understand it.”

"Thats ok. I understand. I enjoy seeing the real thing, but I look at paintings as a photographic from the heart. Which is where most come from," Luna said looking at him. It was true a artist performed or created from their heart. She had a lot of pieces tht she had composed herself but none were for sale. She didn't want to sale them because she didn't want anyone else playing the music. It was a way to express herself. Perhaps one day she would sell them but not now.

"Would you like to see one that will blow your mind? It's also my favorite," Luna told him. She was going to take him to see the river one.

((OCC: Sorry if my posts are getting really short, I have a lot going on right now, but I’ll still be posting as often as normal. The posts just might not be that long.))

“Your favorite one huh? Sure I see no reason why I wouldn’t want to see it.” Cain was quiet while in the gallery. To him it was almost like a library. He was however, anxious. It seemed weird because his anxiousness in the past only came from the brief moments before the battle. Only this time, he wasn’t going to fight. His anxiousness was mostly noticeable by the way Cain kept stretching out his arms. “Do you know the artist that painted your favorite work?”

((Its ok. I know how that is...))

"Yes. I know the artist very well," she told him. Taking his hand, she led him through the sparse crowd of people to the back and stopped in front of the painting.

"Look closely and tell me what you see," she said with a smile.

She looked at it and watched the water flow in the portrait. It was so much like a real thing but by the heart. Luna blinked and looked around her to see if the painter was still there. A tap on the shoulder made her look behind her.

A blonde haired girl stood behind her. Emerald eyes looked back at Luna with a smile. Adrianna wore a yellow tube top and a jean skirt. Matching flip flops were on her feet. A silver barret kapt some har out of her face on one side. A green symbols on her forehead held the switch for her body should everything became disconnected. She was a cyborg.

Luna pressed a finger to her lips indicating Adrianna had to be quiet while Cain watched the painting. The artist nodded and stood beside her friend while he watched.

“What do I see?” At first glance, Cain only saw pain, nothing more and nothing less. However after a while the painting seemed almost to come to life. Was it really giving that effect or was it just Cain’s mind messing with him. With all the stuff he has seen it wouldn’t be so strange if he saw some weird things, kind of like visions from his past. “Is it supposed to be alive?” Cain backed up from the picture a little, he still stared at it, it was indeed a very nice painting.

"Not really. It was a accident," Adrianna said looing at the painting. "It just seemed to kinda happen."

The girl looked Cain and smiled. His appearance looked like one who had been involved in a war. Like she would have been if she hadn't told the driver a different location and ran away from home when she was younger. She pressed memories to the back of her head and looked past the scarring. He seemed very nice and handsome. Was this the guy Stella had told her about?

"So you must be Luna's boyfriend?" she asked using the word stella had used for him.

Luna looked at her friend with suprise wrote all over her face. She didn't know what to say and a blush was already rising to her cheeks. Adrianna saw this and smiled to herslef. The love bug had hit again. She hoped that this relationship didn't turn out like Stella's.

Cain looked at this other girl and he spoke nervously, “B-boyfriend?” He turned his face away so nobody could see it he was thinking to himself. Is it that noticeable?! Boyfriend, not officially but still, I love her. How does this girl know about my feelings towards Luna? This is a dangerous situation!! I wanted to tell Luna how I felt tonight under the moon. I want it to be, special. This girl can’t ruin it!! What am I going to do? Cain was panicking in his mind. A lot of people had special powers and to him it might not have seemed weird if someone could read minds. Even if it wasn’t mind reading he always figured it could be information gathering such as reconnaissance.

Should I deny it and pretend I don’t have feelings for Luna? No I can’t that would be no better than lying!! What should I do?! This girl might have more information on me, so I should just.... stay calm.... I’m not in the military anymore, so I shouldn’t worry about combat, but I can’t let my guard down. I don’t want to ruin my plan. It’s so perfect, what better way to spend a night with the person I love. We can dance again like we did the first day we met. Cain looked back at Luna and the other girl. He tried to keep his cool, he was nervous that his feelings would be revealed too soon.

"Am I mistaken?" Adrianna asked. "Stella said you two were dating or perhaps thats what she thought."

Luna looked at Cain and then at Adrianna. She was lost for words once again. She didn't want to deny it if they could be but she didn't want her friend to think they were hiding something from her.

"You know how Stella is. We're not dating right now, but it doesn't eliminate the possibility. You never know. Things could change," Luna told the artist.

"True. Sorry for the heartattack, Cain. By the way, my name is Adrianna Hinako. I;m the twin's friend. Stella told me some about you."

So she is just Luna’s friend? And it seems Luna’s sister told her about me. That’s good, that means she only know what she’s been told. So my perfect evening I got planned can still happen. That’s good. Cain looked at Adrianna and smiled, “Well it’s nice to meet you Miss Adrianna Hinako. My name is Cain, but you already know that.” Cain looked at Luna, his eyes always filled with compassion for her. To him Luna was everything. She was the only person he would sacrifice his life for and the only one he has ever loved. His eyes never once showed that same compassion, the true feelings of Cain. It was no different when meeting the artist. To everyone else it might have seen like there were no feelings inside of Cain’s heart.
