It was summer time. A time for hot weather, hot clothing and dating. Time for movies and ice cream and beaches. It was the season for romance and the season for fun. It was summer and the world was going to enjoy it. Today's adventure would be one the beach. It was a popular spot, but it wasn't crowded. It was filled with mostly teenagers. And because of the teenagers, families tended to try and avoid the cesspool of hormones and sex that filled the beach. Everywhere in sight there were hot skimpy swimsuits just barely covering the girls in them and badass manly swim trunks focusing the eyes to the cute chests of the boys. It was the dream place for male and female alike and there were few that wouldn't want to be here at the moment. Even the crazed inventor and new resident of this realm, Kotomi, had decided on getting a little sun and showing off her body. Her orange hair was let completely out and her body was only covered by her very sexy swimsuit and a large T-shirt to cover it when she was not swimming. Along with her, but not her date, was her best friend Felix. He was the one that could legally drive and there was no way she would come to such a place and not bring him. With flip-flops trudging through the sand, Kotomi smiled wide as she looked at the beach and all the fun that seemed to be going around. "This looks great! Thanks for bringing me! I can handle myself since I know you want to go off and flirt." Kotomi said to her friend, as she carried an umbrella and a towel to rest on in her arms. He could manage without him and she did not want to impede on the fun he had come here for. And so she set out, getting closer to the water and setting up her umbrella. She laid her towel down and sat, flicking off her flip-flops and smiling as she watched the teens on the beach. |

It was a wonderful day for the beach. Rizel made sure Kysse would come with her. While they stepped out of the cab they looked around. Rizel was excited to be with Kysse especially at the beach. Both girls were concealed by simple sundresses that blew gently in the soft breeze. Kysse wore a pink one while Rizel wore yellow. Both carried beach bags and beach towels as they walked down the sandy path to the beach. It didn’t take long to find a spot to set their towels that was close to the water but not too close. After setting down their stuff both removed their sundresses and Rizel stared in awe at Kysse. No, her swim suit wasn’t over the top, neither of theirs were. Rizel wore a tan, brown, and white scale like patterned tankini. This covered her stomach and back leaving only an inch of skin between the top and bottom of the swim suit. It also tied around the neck like a halter top. On the other hand, while Kysse’s swim suit wasn’t too revealing it was also simple. She wore a strapless white bikini that had green accents and a full back. She may have a beach body, but that didn’t mean she felt she had to show it off, even though nothing could hide that body, especially not a skin tight swim suit. Out of Kysse’s bag came a bottle of spray on sun block, because no one wanted to get a horrible sun burn. Neither of them wore make up, neither of them needed to, this helped with the application of sunscreen. Kysse sprayed Rizel where her skin showed and after Rizel sprayed Kysse. “So what do you want to do,” asked Kysse. Rizel looked around and saw a stand for ice cream, maybe that would be for later. She didn’t know what to do so she shrugged. Kysse smiled and decided they could lay out for a while, of course Rizel agreed. Mmm...mmm...the beach. It was a dream come true for every real man. Women all over the place covered by thin strips of cloth that hug their bodies like it would he death the moment it let go. The beach and the summer were indeed a dream for all teenage men and it was definitely the one spot Felix would refuse to miss out on. When Kotomi had asked him to drive her to the beach all Felix could do was smile and say yes. What man would not want to? Not only is he taking a pretty girl to the beach, but there would be plenty of girls for him to flirt with. Sure, Kotomi was hot and she was cute, but she was also his best friend. She was the one female he couldn't flirt with, even though he did have plenty of perverted remarks for her. But she was the perfect scapegoat for him to go. Because, come on, only real losers went out by themselves. If Felix had gone to the beach all by himself he was lonely, it'd make him look bad. But with a friend and he automatically gets points for not being a lonely perverted bastard. She had driven his truck up to the beach, which was quite a far distance away from the school. With his orange and black flame tribal trucks and black T-shirt, he was all set for the beach. Of course, once they got there, he had take off his shirt and tossed it in the truck so that he could show off his chest. His trunks were a bit low, just to tease the ladies whose gazes dropped low enough from his chest. Felix was good looking, he couldn't help that, but half the fun in flirting was the chase. He wouldn't want to catch them all with his looks alone. He wanted to cat one for himself and claim victory over the rest of the males. And so, as soon as they hit the beach, Kotomi had already run off by herself. Maybe she had plans or maybe she didn’t want anyone to think that he was her boyfriend. That was no problem with him. He'd be sure to check on the girl often to make sure she was okay. It was time to hunt and he had already had his eyes on a pair of girls that had just arrived. One teased the boys with a not so revealing tankini. It was a hook that would draw in the curiosity to see more. And her friend was giving it all she had. She left nothing to the imagination and drew in boys with her curves like moths to a flame. It was the perfect place to start and hopefully he'd be able to entertain these girls enough to not have to move on to other girls. Casually, he walked over, eyeing a few other males that had the same idea as him. But Felix's eyes were fast and he had the head start. And so as he approached the girls, the others stopped and secretly watched, hoping he would fail and they would get their chance. "Hello ladies..." Felix spoke, starting off with the classic greeting. He stood up, showing off his height and his grin. "Do you mind if I offer you two pretty girls some company? There's a ring of men out there eyeing you and I could ward them off just by talking like this...unless of course, you desire their attention instead of mine." |

THE BEACH! Mark's first time here. At a beach, even. Well, not without firefights erupting all about him, anyway. He was almost screaming it, wondering to himself exactly how much of a normal life he had missed, trading it off for a wild ride as a mercenary contractor. He knew that his body had suffered, now that he was shirtless in the sun. He ran his hand along his left bicep, feeling the small depression, where the superheated knife had barely missed him. It had cut right through the armor that he had been wearing, deflecting the blade's path enough for it to not cut off his arm. It had been a lucky miss. And it had bought time. Linda had been the number two, and dealt with the threat immediately. He then reached down, and felt just above his right hip. Gunshot wound. Memories flooded into him, mostly wrought with the searing pain that had come with the wound. He exhaled, calming himself again. Both scars were fading, but fresh scars were still on him. The boy had been given the earth magic equivalent to a point blank shotgun blast. He and Issac had shamelessly hunted the man that had mentored the very girl that he was deeply caring for these days. Yang... I'm sorry... Mark closed his eyes, squeezing the thoughts from his mind. He flexed his arm, testing its functionality. Medical mages were amazing, you know? Mark already could move his arms about. Before that, they arms had hung limp and at best were like rusted joints. But now, it was as if they had never been wounded at all. Now he felt another sensation: vulnerability. His bare chest was being kissed by the sun, warming and tanning his skin. It felt good in one sense, but then again, there was a more serious consideration. To him, that only meant that there wasn't anything stopping someone from driving a knife into his chest. Or something to that effect. Linda was probably feeling the same thing, the older woman was in a light white bikini, already slipping on small framed sunglasses. She leaned back and relaxed, her head resting against the small mound of soft sand she had piled up under her towel. Behind her was the trio of bags they had placed there. The other two of their unit was out and about: Oliver and Olivia, the twins, were shooting off towards the sea. A Marauders outing. He smiled, checking into his bag for his own pair of sunglasses, careful not to let the plastic handle of the pistol he had packed show. There was also the shotgun dismantled in the second bag, and a set of knives in the third. Hey, no weapons just about meant no clothes to Mark. He was taking at least a pistol around the place these days. Rules be screwed, he would rather die with a weapon in hand than thinking 'oh why!?'. Finding his large, rounded rectangle sunglasses, he slipped them on his nose and the world shifted a shade darker. It became more bearable, too. Ice blue eyes were now hidden behind a thin plastic sheet of darkened glass. Mark looked up and down the length of the beach, and found only one other face that he recognized: Kysse Ild. She was with someone. A friend? Roommate? Sister? Well, someone, he might as well find out. The girl and himself had been through a few good times. Running away from a mob through the Kabuki Cho district had been fun, in its own way. Fighting, adrenaline charged up in his veins, it all... just made him feel alive. He began to walk through the sand, feeling the soft grit flow in between his toes. His eyes checked one man, his face was familiar. Well, the expression. Eeth Hellsing had been wearing almost the same expression. Mark shrugged. "Kysse, long time no see!" His eyes flickered up to Fenix, then to Rizel, then back to Kysse. Company? He nodded greetings to them. Mark smiled as he stopped a few steps short of walking over the girl. They both could pass as siblings, but there wasn't a single drop of blood that related them. Both had near-ice blue eyes, a shock of blond hair and neat western features. Mark was dressed pretty simply: Cargo pants that reached down to his knees, very tough make and light sand-colored material. "So how have things been?" Playing catch up. Fighting on the same team as someone - even though it was mostly running - always earned them Mark's respect and concern. He looked out for those who were his friends. Still standing, he hung his arms at his sides, limp and relaxed. It felt somehow good to feel the sun on his skin. - - - - - Sam was at the beach. Alone. Oh boy. He didn't really care, so long as it was somewhere. He needed to be alone sometimes, and a crowd was what always made him alone. Spreading the jacket out underneath him he pushed the pack into the ground. His sleeveless shirt had their sleeves torn off by his knife-like boomerang weapons. He let out a soft sigh, watching the sea. The last time he had been out at somewhere like this, it had been with Athena. That was his first time, in a beach. Then again, he had been shipped there via cardboard box. It was quite frankly rather embarrassing. His soft, snow white hair shrouded his light grey eyes. Pale skin, untouched by the sun for a while now. The remnants of his last tan in the sun was being re-vitalized, but that wasn't the matter right now. Currently, it was really his boredom that mattered. Something to break... the... holy shit. Leon!? Sam sat bolt upright, seeing his brother again. Then halted himself. No... wait... it was him again. His dead brother wasn't alive. It was that boy. Mark, wasn't it? They were identical, and had introduced each other earlier in the month. He spread himself out on the sand, and then let out a slow sigh. "Not him... its never him..." Memories flooded his mind as tears began to gather in his eyes. "He's dead." |

Sunake was already set up on his beach towel as others started showing up. HisBoard Shorts almost clashed with his sunglasses, but who cared? He was badass. The duffle bag beside him had his PPK, the Oni Mask, his Helix sword, and an extra change of clothes. The picnic basket next to it had enough food to feed a squad of soldiers; hey, you never knew when friends would show up. They were about as predictable as villains here, which meant you never knew where they were going to be next. Alastor too, couldn't miss such a beautiful day at the beach. He had left Aliyana at home so he could have at least -some- of his thoughts to himself. His sandals plopped along the firmer sand near the waterline, looking for a place to set up. However, his keep eyes caught sight of Oliver and Olivia, the twins on the Marauders mercenary team. If they were here Mark wasn't too far away. "Hey guys!" Alastor called out to the twins. |

So Kotomi was out on the beach, sitting and watching the people around her. It seemed boring and like she was lonely, but it was quite the opposite. One of the main reason she had shooed Felix, her best friend, away was because she wanted some solitude. Why come to the beach with solitude in mind? Kotomi had fun plans and the beach was the place to do it. Of course, she couldn't start them right away. She needed to blend into the crowd first. She would become unnoticeable and then start to fiddle. And so, Kotomi sat patiently and waited for a couple of minutes to do by. And then, once the time had passed, she got up. Smiling, she turned to her umbrella and started to twist the bottom half off. But just as she started, a male's hand reached for it, covering her hand. "Need help with that cutie?" The male said. Kotomi looked up and blinked. She glanced around her and then gave an awkward smile. "No...I'm fine. I can handle this." She said as she moved her hand out from under his. The male looked at her and smiled. "Nah, that wouldn't be right. I can't leave a cute girl on the beach all by herself." The guy said, leaning in a little closer to Kotomi. She let out an awkward laugh and smiled. This person was a bother and she needed to get rid of him. "Umm...I'm a lesbian. I don't like guys..." Kotomi said, hopping mentally with the sign for victory on her fingers. But it seemed to have the opposite effect. The guy's eyes widened with a smile. "Or really! That works out well. My girl and I have been looking for a three partner for a bit of fun. I promise you'll enjoy it." He told her, showing no signs of giving up. Kotomi sighed mentally and then shrugged her shoulders. "Umm...sure then, just wait a second." She said as she finally got around to twisting off the bottom half of the umbrella. Within the bottom half was a small rod that she took out. She grabbed it and then twisted the umbrella back together and set it back up. "Umm...go get your girlfriend and meet me back here. I'll be ready then." She said sitting back down on her towel and turning away from the guy as she fiddled with the rod. The guy, confused, shrugged his shoulders and went off to return with his bisexual girlfriend. Now, with him gone for the moment, Kotomi could put her plan into action. |

Rizel saw Felix coming and had a faint idea of what he wanted. One thing the little girl wished wasn’t at the beach was guys looking at her friend. She didn’t know what it was that attracted people to them, other than Kysse. On the other hand Kysse didn’t understand how this had happened. It wasn’t like she was self conscious; it was more like she just didn’t know what guys wanted. When he spoke up she had to turn her head to see him, his voice had also caused her to jump a little, due to being taken by surprise. They had just gotten there and already people were being friendly enough to come up to them. Of course Kysse greeted him with a smile, he was cute, and he was brave enough to approach two lonely girls, though she didn’t think of that in the way others had. At his last line both girls blushed. It seemed he had said things that didn’t really need to be said, things such as the bit about other guys and whose attention was where. Thing is Kysse and Rizel hadn’t noticed the young men that sat on their beach towels or beach chairs eyeing them. It wasn’t that they thought they were gorgeous or knew that guys would be staring at them, they just didn’t notice. Rizel noticed guys watching Kysse though, only because of Rizels’ feelings toward her. Rizel definitely admired Kysse very much, which is why she noticed other watching Kysse, but not others watching her. No, Rizel wasn’t old enough to be quite like Kysse. Being as young as she was prevented her from having the body like Kysse; on the other hand she was amazingly cute, while Kysse was just… gorgeous. Before Kysse could respond Mark seemed to pop out of no where and she gave him a toothy smile. From where she sat she jumped up to see him. It was amazing that they were there at the beach at the same time, who’d have guessed? When she thought about it she hadn’t seen him in quite a while. “Mark! I feel like I haven’t seen you in forever!” After she jumped up she threw her arms around him in a friendly hug that was cut off rather quickly. While this went on Rizel looked a bit flustered until she looked back up at Felix. He did seem a bit forward but on the other hand he was nice enough to offer company. With her childishly cute face she smiled up at him. “I’m sure you could join us for a little while.” |

Oliver was used to loud noises. A wall of water, the rotary engines on the V-22, it didn't really matter to him. Loud was loud. A shovel was a shovel. They both hurt when applied right. His sister, Olivia, was doing the same thing, riding a wave as it hit them, laughing and enjoying the sunlight and the beach. They both had a sharp ear for voices, almost drowned out by the surf. He turned around to see Alastor, and Olivia did, too. She waved as well as he did, remembering the figure usually wrapped up in powered armor. Oliver also knew that Olivia had a thing for field guys. They both hit the next wave together, riding it into the shoreline. Wading up to the young man, Oliver extended a hand. "Alastor! Its been ages, man! What's up?" - - - - - She... hugged him!? Hoo boy, Mark's face immediately went red. The usual reaction to being intimate around girls. That was seriously annoying. He could throw himself into a building full of people wanting to kill him, he had been shot, stabbed, mauled, clawed and blasted so many times he cared more about the person beside him when it happened. He could do so many things... but he couldn't walk away from being hugged by a girl unscathed and straight faced... how weird was that? Thank God he hadn't brought Yang around. She probably could have flipped at that. Kysse was a good person, a good girl. He briefly touched the back of her spine with his fingers, but that was all. Kysse was a friend. Firm friends, and maybe the two had empathy for each other. He was committed, after all, and betrayals were against his warped sense of honor. He'd fight for money, sure, he'd fight against people who he had been defending a month ago, done that. Bought the T-shirt, too. Literally. The shirt he had worn on that contract still had blood stains on that one, though, not one he'd be touching in a while. "Nice to see you too, Kysse. I suppose you've been taking care of yourself too, I hope." Him? Oh, he had been in a few fights, went on a few contracts. Found someone he really cared for... He flashed the others a grin, remembering the distance they had to leg it, all with an angry mob behind them. Call it a hive conscience, but when you kick a neighborhood in the walls, you really got a group reaction. Mark shrugged, and then turned his attention to the other two. His appearance something of what you could call a surfer. He certainly fit the bill, long hair a chopped up mane, ice blue eyes gleaming in the sunlight. He was physically strong, agile as well. Mark was also steady on his feet, a skill which was needed in surfing, as far as he could tell. But he wasn't that. Long story short, he was a mercenary. "Oh, and I'm Mark. Nice to meet you two." He smiled sheepishly, apologetic for kicking Rizel and Fenix out of the conversation. Mark offered his hand to shake Fenix's, and he idly regarded him. Seemed like an okay person, a little too much like Eeth for his mind to handle, and had a sense of strength on him. Maybe he wielded a heavy weapon of some sort... And then there was Rizel. She was smaller, more cute than what he would consider hot, and seemed to have something about him being hugged by Kysse. Mark's eyes hazed over as he looked out to sea, spotting the twins and Alastor. His gaze wandered around some more, seeing another familiar face. Sam... poor kid, Mark knew he looked a lot like the boy's brother. Deceased. Shot. Stupid way to die. All considered, though, he probably was going to meet his end the same way. Mark exhaled slowly, letting his thoughts stall and stop. Turning his attention back to Rizel, he smiled. "Does that invitation include me?" Hey, it never hurt to be polite. Well... usually. In these situations, anyway. |

It seemed that all the men on the beach would not like Felix stand in their way. Only moments after he had greeted the pair, another person had arrived and made himself known. Was it possible that there was a male as bold and as daring as Felix? Well, of course there was, but not in this crowd. However, the person that had showed up had an extra foot in the door when it came to the girls, or at least one of them. He was a former acquaintance and enough of a memory to warrant a hug. I seemed like his body was half way through the door already. It was no wonder he approached so casually. But a few things hinted that the boy's progress was either slow or nonexistent. For one, he blushed when the girl hugged him. It was an instant sign that he wasn't on the same wavelength of Felix, which was a good thing for them both. The second sign was an introduction toward him instead of a fazing out. Had he been wanting to eliminate competition, he wouldn't have been nice enough to say hi and would have tried to distance Felix from the girl. It this meant was that the path was still perfectly clear even with the introduction of an obstacle. However, Felix was still going to change is plans up a bit. He didn't want to be selfish after all. There was no need to flirt with two females at the same time when the work could be shared right? And so, with the new boy, Mark, meeting with his friend, Felix would focus his attention of Rizel. He looked at her and smiled as the two spoke, showing her that he was more interested in her than her friend if she picked it up. He then turned to Mark as introduced himself and nodded. "Hey man, the name is Felix." He said, then smiling at Kysse and then turning to Rizel again. "And how about the names of these two lovely ladies? I'd like to get to know the people I'll be spending my time with." |

Kotomi had less time than she had thought for the boy and his bisexual girlfriend to return. She had only begun tinkering with the device in her hands when he returned with his girlfriend locked into his arms. The girl looked at Kotomi with a smile and the looked at her boyfriend. "She's cute and she looks like a virgin. Let's make her come lots." She said to him with a laugh. The boy smiled and nodded his head. "Of course. You know how good I am." He said with his own confidence booster. "But we can't do it on the beach here; I'll drive you back to our hotel." He told Kotomi, reaching down to bring her up to standing. Kotomi moved from his grasp and then turned to them with a smile. "Sure, just do one thing for me right quick." She said, putting the rod in his hands and stepping back. "Could you press the red button at the top part and point it at the sand?" She told him. The couple looked at each other confused and they both shrugged. The pointed the rod down at the sand and the boy pressed the red button. And then, suddenly, all throughout the beach, the sky got a sudden flash of red. Moments afterwards, the ground rumbled a bit and the sand started to collect under Kotomi. And then, within the few seconds that had passed, screams and panic could be heard and seen as people quickly evacuated the beach. The reason was the incredibly large sand monster that had been created under Kotomi. The couple was nowhere to be seen, but Kotomi was not stuck on top of the now fifty foot sand monsters that groaned as it rose. Sitting on its head, Kotomi held the rod in her hands and a disappointed expression on her face. "They didn't even have enough life force to keep themselves alive and now I'm stuck on top of this stupid thing." She said with a sigh. "Felix!!!" She yelled out, figuring that he’d have seen the monster by now and would have already guessed what had happened. |

Kysse was about to sit down until she felt the sand under her feet moving. Before she could stop herself she’d taken a step, and of course, she tripped. Luckily she fell onto her own towel, but both were moving toward the sands destination. Kysse jumped up grabbing Rizel and both towels. She stood with the small girl and towels in her arms next to Felix and Mark. What was going on? A yell in the distance announced Felix so Kysse turned to eye him. What did this have to do with him? Rizel was more than happy to be in Kysse’s arms, it was extremely cute to her. That didn’t last to long as Kysse set her down. Rizel looked at Felix too. “I’m Rizel and this is Kysse, but someone is calling you.” Rizel turned toward the giant sandman and pointed up at it head. A girl was seemingly stuck in the top and didn’t look very happy. Rizel looked back at Felix and Kysse looked from Mark to Felix. Most of the people on the beach had left in terror or shock. Many knew of meta-humans by now so this wasn’t too much of a shock, but it wasn’t like they wanted to be here for this. What were they who were left, to do? |

"Rizel, nice to meet... you... what the?" Looking up from smiling at Rizel, his face seemed to pale and go from 'happy happy man' to 'holy crap'. There was a rumbling sensation, and suddenly Mark found himself looking at a giant sand-thing rising from the ground. "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING!?" He practically jaw-dropped, his knee dropping to the ground for balance as he looked around. "Kysse, Rizel... Felix, you all alright?" He looked from one girl to the other, then to the guy, then to the massive monster. A girl shouted out, and Mark turned to Felix. Then to Linda, who was already grabbing the weapons. She signaled that she was going to go for the SUV they came here in. Her rifle was there. The remaining Marauder turned back to Felix. "You know that girl?" That didn't matter, though. He needed to get armed and fast. Mark stepped forwards, and offered his hand to Rizel and Kysse. All ten of them, as Mark's Ghost Arms began to materialize around his body. "We need to get out of here, you two." Linda was soon driving the SUV along the beach, and then stopped beside them. Throwing the door open, the bikini'd mercenary was already armed with Mark's gear. "Mark!" His various pieces of equipment was thrown to him, and soon his gear was around his chest, knives almost like spines as he loaded his shotgun. The pistol was still on Linda, as she looked at the two girls. "If you need to get out, get in the car. Same goes to you, pretty boy." Her voice was serious as she put together a giant rifle. Mark was already going off to find a way to get to the sand-thing's head, and get that girl off. He wasn't one to play hero, but then again, there were people in trouble. And you couldn't ignore that. Mark was dashing over the sand now, his shotgun slung over his shoulder, in favor of using his set of knives in all ten of his arms. Most of them were stubby trench knives, and there were also the bigger, more dangerous KA-BARs and KM-2000s. He wove through the crowd of panicking people, although being armed tended to make people move the other way. Linda already was on the sand by her car, and aiming the rifle at the monster. Her mind noted that the girl was pretty much calm about things, judging by her face, and more concerned about what was happening to her friend Felix. Still, she had to give it a shot. Aiming down, far down, her rifle loosed off a giant roar as the .50 caliber shell fired. It was an experimental shot, and the round would probably hit. Considering the distance it had to cover, as well as how fast the bullet was, she expected the bullet to go right through. It was designed to go through armor, and the round would actually tear flesh pretty well, too. But this thing was sand. She didn't know what it would do. Starting up from the shock of the gunshot, Sam looked up, his teary eyes clearing as a deep-rooted fear settled in his stomach. Kotomi. That girl had literally raped his mind once, and she seemed more than calm when atop that giant sand-thing. That meant... holy crap, was she trying to kill something? Someone? Him!? Sam saw Mark, and Rizel. Both were people vaguely known to him. He gritted his teeth, and grabbed his pack. He had his boomerangs here today, and also that bangle around his wrist would help. Although he had little to look forward to when it came to punching a giant sand-creature... |

As the ground began to rumble a bit and the sand started to move, a chill went down Felix's back. He had hoped the situation had not turned into what he thought had happened. He was so hoping that this was some kind of natural occurrence. However, those hopes were killed when he heard his named being called be an all too familiar voice. She looked over at the girls and Max and sighed. "I'm really sorry about this, ladies." He told Kysse and Rizel. It seemed that he was suckered into a bad situation and he'd have to scold Kotomi for it later. "It's nothing too dangerous unless you provoke it, so you can just..." Felix cut himself off as an SUV drove up near them and a girl suited up in a nice bikini had popped out with guns and all kinds of weaponry. "Or not...." He said with a sigh. It seemed that with the signs of a giant sand monster, hostilities were automatically invoked. She turned back to the girls and smiled. "We'll take care of this, unless you want to help. Take cover otherwise." He told them. Sure, women were to be protected, but that didn't mean they couldn’t handle themselves. But if they were just normal girls, there might not be much they could do. Though he was unarmed, he knew what he was dealing with and he knew that had to be done for the most part. But first, he needed to get to Kotomi. And so, following behind Mark and the mercenary, Felix made his way to the sand monster so that he was within yelling distance of Kotomi. "You conniving bitch!" He yelled at her. He took a deep breath and shook his head. "Jump down here bef-” Once again, he was interrupted, this time by a gunshot from the mercenary woman. Things weren't going to go so well. |

Kotomi blinked from atop the Sand monster as she watched what was happening below. She watched as most of the people ran out of fear while a few stayed. Then, she saw the SUV drive up and a few people began to arm themselves. What was with the quick rush to violence? The sand monsters had shown no signs of hostility yet, why were they feeling threatened? "Hmm..." Kotomi hummed as she put a thumb to her chin. "Seems differences are met with violence here. I'll have to remember that." She said as she watched the woman ready her gun and the boy ready as well. "Maybe you all should just...nevermind..." She said as a large hole was blown into the monster's chest. It quickly closed; collecting more sand through its feet and healing itself. Afterwards, it let out a loud groan and kicked the ground, sending up a wave of sand at the shooter. She then heard Felix and smiled. "I'm sorry! It was the best way for me to test things out. I'll apologize properly later!" She said twirling the rod in her hands. "Use this! It should have an extra charge left in it." She yelled out, throwing the rod. But as she threw it, the sand monster flailed a bit, hitting the rod and sending it passed Felix and to the girls, Kysse and Rizel. Kotomi sighed and shrugged her shoulders. "Whatever...Point it at the water and press the red button!" She yelled out, hoping the girls her could hear her. |

Everything around the two girls happened so quickly. In seconds a van was on the beach offering them shelter. Moments after that, there was shooting and the two girls just froze. The moment seemed like it went by much slower to them, as if they were in slow motion. As soon as the conversation between Felix and the girl was over a switch with a button was thrown in their direction. For a moment they both just stared at it. Both wanted to be of help as well. Hoping it would help Rizel ran to the remote and held it for a moment. Kysse quickly, perhaps without much thought, reached over and pressed the button on the remote. Neither knew what to expect. ((I really didn’t know what to say next so I’ll leave this open to Nekos post.)) |
