Tara was an enchantress. Her tutor was a very kind but altogether strict woman who had all the knowledge that Tara could suck up... and more. She held the bracelet in her hand, crafting the last of it with her file and the still-raw magic coursing through the small silver band of metal. It was steel, a metal that she was taught had much potential to be very good batteries. The reason was the sheer flexibility of the metal, the chance to be a steel weapon, or a pig-iron metal part. She focused again, and the energy molded itself into her mind's shape. Finally, she set the stone into the star burst pattern. There was a flash of energy, and it was done. Tara smiled, and held the metal band aloft. She knew a little about what it would do, and then she slipped the bangle on. Swinging her arms around, and wondered what it would do.

Then when she touched the small metal pencil case, it punched a hole into the wall. She yelped in surprise, and soon a woman appeared, her left hand bracelet still alive with protective energy.

"Sorry, ma'am, I didn't... mean... to... meep"

Instead, the woman broke into a smile, and soon was explaining what exactly she had done, and why that was a success.

Sam sat with his sister, still feeling the aftereffects of the mental gram's depiction of the black-haired girl. It wasn't like the real life version at all... She was still playing with that band of metal, the 'KA' as she had named it. The little stone set into the middle was beginning to glow red, and he felt a power emanating from the little bangle. Sam had seen similar power at work, but at a farther distance. He had felt sheer power when a student at his school summon a pair of creatures to play into battle. The same had happened when her opponent pulled a glowing white spear out of thin air. She looked at him, and smiled. It wasn't the succubus smlile that he had last seen on her virtual face. It was the one he knew. The two of them were sitting side by side, on the small Domino Town house the family had bought. Sam lived in AHS' Dorms, and they would meet every weekend. No excuses.

"So what is that thing?" He leaned over towards her, seeing the glowing red stone shift to a bright orange as she twisted and shook her hand. His sister smiled softly. "Kinetic Accumulator." She explained. That didn't mean anything to him, so Sam looked at her, confused. "Huh?" His sister smiled, and held it out to him. Sam admired the craftsmanship, the simple ring that held a lot of power at his fingertips. "Alright, now how does this work?"
"Put it on, and we'll see. I haven't figured it out exactly. I know you can activate it with by thinking about the stone in the middle there."
"You made this thing, right?"
"Yes..."
"Then why don't you know?"
"..."

He laughed, and then felt something else shift in the air. A feeling of malicious, wanton destruction. The wall underneath his began to collapse, but she was fast. She was already rolling on the ground when the last of the wall crumbled, and had already brought out her Ward talisman by the time the prisoner had walked around the corner. Sam's eyes widened. This man was on the news recently. His name was Inglis Du Morne, and he was a big problem in this area. The man had his hands glowing, and Sam prepared to fight. He drew his boomerangs, but then the man was in his face. The white haired boy would have said 'oh crap' had he been able to, but he couldn't. Tara screamed as the man grabbed his wrists, and felt the skin on his neck beign to crackle and singe. Then the solid bubble of the ward hit Inglis, and he tumbled off.

"Sam! Focus on the stone, then hit him with your fist!"

Inglis had gotten back up now, and Sam saw the man's hands begin to glow again. Destructive energy. Sam shook himself awake from the shock, and he began to run towards the man. His fist stretched out, and he made contact... with the burning fist. Oh crap. Then he felt a sudden flow of energy, from the bangle into his fist. Then the man was knocked back, as if he had been hit by a small car. Inglis went flying, and Sam gasped from the sudden pain in his hand. That bloody well hurt. The stone fixed onto the starburst pattern had gone black. It had emptied things out. This thing punched out kinetic energy at amazing rates, effectively giving him the power of a super-punch. Wow. That was cool.

Tara ran off, into the house for the police. Sam found the man's collar, the one that formerly imprisoned him, and after tagging it, tagged an equally heavy garbage pin. On the opposite side of an undamaged wall. Net result was the man was pinned against it with Sam's other powers. Such a nice day, a good test, too. Tara got a soft punch in the arm for that one, with Sam's left hand. She began to explain more about the Kinetic Accumulator and what it did. How, and why Sam should keep it. He nodded in thanks, and slipped the bangle back onto his right hand wrist. It seemed to shrink, fitting snugly against his hand. He smiled, knowing that now he could at least match up against some of the stronger students around AHS. Well, for one blow, anyway. Looking at his sister, he thanked her again, and smiled.

"Nice..."
