Sakura placed her hand on the backstage door and prayed that the janitors left it open for her as she had requested. This was exactly what she needed to rehearse, a big open space where no one was going to just walk in on her; and there didn’t seem to be any large abandoned warehouses nearby so she had to go with the next best thing, the auditorium. She had only been in there once before but that was to hear what the principal had to say on something about the school being attacked, and how many times had that happened already? This time Sakura planned to use the stage, lights and the sound system for her own enjoyment.

Turning the knob she smiled as the door swung open to allow her entrance. Stepping into the dark area she closed the door behind her and locked it to make sure no one could sneak up on her while she was setting up. Extending her hand she felt along the wall until she reached a breaker box, pulling it open she carefully flipped each switch upward to light up the entire backstage area. Blinking against the sudden brightness of the fluorescent lights she smiled and readjusted her gym bag on her shoulder. Now she just needed to figure out which hall would lead her to the main stage of the auditorium. Looking up she noted a map of the back stage area next to the breaker box, humming slightly she pointed out a path with her finger before turning and walking off in the direction she hoped was right.

Pulling a rubber band off of her wrist she pushed her curls out of her face and braided them back securely before tying it off with the band. Sakura was so excited; she was going to dance again for the first time in over a year! She had been so caught up in training and becoming stronger over the years that her love of dancing had completely left her; but she planned to fix that starting today. It had taken her forever to locate her old tap shoes as well as her point shoes, which she ended up having to replace anyway; but now they were safe and secure inside her gym bag along with a few CD’s, towels and bottled waters.

Stepping onto the main stage she smiled and set her bag down while glancing under the brim of the curtain, pushing her glasses up slightly realizing that the house lights were already on. Ready to get started she pulled out her ballet shoes and carefully taped her feet before tying them on. Pulling the curtain open she smiled before rustling through her bag and pulling her mixed CD of Broadway Songs. Popping it into her CD player she put it on track number five and hit play while quickly running to the center of the stage. Suddenly the ballet dream sequence from ‘OKLAHOMA!’ started and Sakura was off! Carefully at first she watched her boundaries and took in the area around her. Her leaps started out small and calculated; but as the music continued her eyes slipped closed and she slowly started to become the dancer she was a year ago.

Curses, foiled again. Alastor had been trying to get in some practice on high, perilous locations. Yeah, he had unlocked the door with a hairpin, and no, he hadn't relocked it. It wasn't like he was anticipating anyone interrupting. He wasn't in front of any of the lights she turned on, so he won't cast a shadow, however, he was temporarily blinded by them when she flicked the switch. This caused him to lose his balance and topple, but he flipped in midair and caught the edge of the support he was just on, all of this done quietly of course. Well, he could probably go thrashing about since she chose to play some music that he recognized as from Oklahoma!, and he didn't like that play.

Anyway, Alastor quickly flipped back up onto the support, his soft boots bending and gripping the steel rods to give him better traction up there. They also let him walk silently, something he definitely needed on such flimsy structures. He padded quickly over to a more secure and safe catwalk and finally decided to just watch the girl. She actually was quite graceful, and he found himself sitting down, quietly since his jacket was tied around his waist, to watch.

It was a dark night outside, with only a spattering of stars showing. It was a night with almost no overcast, making it easy for people to get around in without being noticed by prying eyes. The kind of night that made Josh very concerned with the security of the school. He had a penchant for being over-protective and playing the hero. So when he had heard a rumor of meta prisoners who had broken out of their holdings and could be attacking the school at any moment, it was second nature to spend his nights roaming the school grounds to ensure he was the first to meet any such threats. This night was just another one of those times. He had been making his rounds, and out of the end of his peripheral vision he noticed a slight movement in the hall that led to the auditorium.

*Did someone already break in?* It stood to reason that it could have been a student, getting some late night training in. After all, he had done that more then a few times when he was first attending this school. *Complacency kills…* He pondered over that phrase, he had heard it from somewhere before, but couldn’t link it with a face, or a voice. But it made sense; was the life of a young, innocent student worth the trouble of not investigating? Caution had won this round.

Josh was not the assassin type. He was not overly stealthy, but he was light on his feet. He could move without making noticeable noise and do a decent job of keeping out of sight. As they got closer to the rear of the auditorium he noticed it was a girl, moving quietly herself, as he tracked the perp. This itself put him a step off of the meta terrorist theory, and he was about to leave her, until she stopped at a door. It was a good thing she didn’t look around to cover her surroundings before entering, or she would have spotted him dead on. He was relieved to know that this young woman was caught up in something of her own. When she walked into the doorway he noticed something he hadn’t earlier. A gym bag. Big enough to fit a bomb in perhaps?

It wasn’t possible for him to turn away now, call it paranoid, but he had to make sure that whatever was in that bag wasn’t going to blow up and kill any students at the next class or meeting that was to take place in the building. Once the door closed behind her he stalked along the wall until he reached the door and gingerly turned it. It was locked. That was the final straw, something was going down in there and he intended to find out what. The tumblers on the lock gave way smoothly under his telekinetic manipulation, and the door opened with the faintest click. He readied himself for some type of trap, assuming that someone had heard the door. When nothing happened he cracked the door open just enough to slide into the lighted backstage.

He was shocked to hear not the whispered dealing of black ops demolitions, or the rants of zealous villains. But a musical. Not being the musical type, Josh didn’t know from what kind of musical, but it sounded folk-y.

*Must be something from the country scene in America.* He was pleased with this assessment, and decided this was not an attack on the school. Nor did he see a reason to pry into this girl’s life by spying on her; she must have wanted that privacy for a reason. Josh was an axiom by virtue of luck. In a fight he was as agile and precise as a ballet dancer with his feet. Outside of a fight he continually stumbled about, tripping over tree stumps, his feet, capes when he was on his super hero kick, rocks, other people, and the occasional small woodland creature. It was disheartening to know that not much had changed. As he turned around to exit the door he didn’t notice he had stepped into the piled rope of a trio of sandbags and managed to get his foot tangled in the mess. When he lifted that foot he felt an unusual weight, and gave it a sharp jerk.

That jerk unlatched the poor ropemanship from the tying on the wall, sending the three considerably heavy sandbags to begin their plummet to the scaffolding. The rope quickly snaked its way along his lower leg and pulled his left leg from his right, just like a wishbone. A sharp pain etched along his groin and out of a panicked painful shock a spike popped from his wrist cutting the rope. Those sandbags crashed through the cheap wood and knocked into the top of the central spotlight. There had been major upkeep issues with the stage before, and it was unfortunate the janitor hadn’t gotten around to tightening the bolts that held the spotlight in place yet. Because if he had, perhaps it wouldn’t have been knocked off of it’s settings to fall, making a loud splintering crash, sending pieces of glass all over the place.

What was worse is that those sandbags held up the curtain that was blocking his view from everyone else there. With those sandbags down there was nothing between him and the eyes of his accusers. The wizard behind the curtain had been exposed.

“Fuck.” He whispered under his breath. He was frozen in his pose, with one arm out, a shiny metal spike pointing out into the air and his legs spread like he was practicing the splits. If only he had dealt with the pain.

By this time Sakura was in full swing. The sound of the ballet carried her back to when all she used to do was eat, sleep and breath dance! Everything about it screamed beauty and grace and...well, everything she normally wasn't. Oh, she knew she was pretty. She wasn't one of those girls to claim she was ugly just to get a compliment; but dancing...dancing made her feel absolutely beautiful! There was no stumbling or knocing into various objects. There were only graceful turns and leaps, each move telling a different story, a different emotion.

Closing her eyes she smiled and tried to remember her french terms...which was hard since she was terrible at them to begin with. Sakura laughed at that thought before continuing on in the music, "Ball change...plie...sissonne fermee..." she stated while taking small controlled breaths. it was easy enough to remember the moves themselves; but the terminology was a completely different area. "Umm saute...? No no that's not ri-" as Sakura was about to stop mid en tournant and rack her brain for the proper term she was interuppted by a loud SMASHHHHHHH! A small surprised cry escaped her lips as a few glass shards slid across the stage towards her. In a moment of panic, and being in mid turn, her ankle buckled and she went tumbling backwards.

To keep from further injuries she tucked herself into a small ball and went backwards with the flow to land her stomach against the hard wood of the stage. Sakura's hair busted out of it's holder to drop down around her face. She almost looked like some one had attacked her full on; after all, she had assumed she was completely alone! Maybe she was still alone? The only way to find out was for her to get up and check it out.

Pushing herself up onto her elbows she rolled over onto her back and sat up to check her ankle. Reching out she gingerly poked it a few times before realizing that it wasn't fractured or broken. The worst that would happen would be a bruise wrapped around it for a few days, but no permanent damage. letting out a sigh of relief she pushed her curls out of her face before carefully standing back up, all the while being careful to keep most of her weight off that foot. Turning around slowly her eyes widened and a very VERY red blush crept onto her face. It was a man. But what had he been doing back there? Was he WATCHING her? A fresh batch of goosebumps spread over her arms as she eyed the man who...well...didn't look too comfortable at the moment with the way his legs are...

Walking away for a minute she turned the music off before returning and standing a few feet in front of him. Well...this is slightly awkward... she thought to herself while slowly easing more and more pressure onto her weak ankle. "Do you...need help...?" she asked carefully while extending her hand out to him. Maybe he was a stalker or a rapist but in that position it didn't look like he was going to be able to attack anyone for a pretty long time. "What umm, exactly were you doing?"

Alastor was enjoying himself, which was rare to say the least. The stresses of combat, school, and hunting down those he considered family could take a toll on a man. It felt good to just sit back and relax, that is, until someone decided to drop a light very close to him. Oh he was quick enough to dodge out of the way, but it was like a murder mystery where people were getting bumped off for knowing too much. The sandbags that had started the whole ruckus were two feet from knocking the scaffolding over, but Alastor was more concerned with the man below who was entangled in the ropes.

"Hold on! Give me a minute!" he yelled to the people down below, giving away his position in the process. However, he knew that sometimes it was better to let others know you were around. Although it would be interesting to start another legend of AHS, "the Wraith of Toriyama." He could live with that. Anyway, he whipped out his KM2000 knife and deftly sliced through the ropes holding the sandbags up. "Watch yourself!" he shouted down as he cut through the last hemp fiber. With that he jumped down off the scaffolding. He landed on the stage and paratrooper rolled, minimizing the damage to the stage to just a dent in the wood and protecting his body from the fall. Obviously he probably could have punched a hole in the stage just by falling, but he'd feel that in the morning. He came to his feet near the girl and man and dusted himself off.

"Sorry, I was up in the rafters earlier. My name's Alastor, need any more assistance?"

Zar had been sound asleep in the auditorium once again dreaming of his mother in the demon world. Of course the only thing he knew was that she was related to him in some way. The fact that she was his mother as always had completely alluded him. His knowledge of his demon half was virtually non-existent but it didn't bother him as he obviously didn't know. His legs propped up on the seat in front of him and his head laid back he had slept soundlessly in one of the back corners, it was no suprise she had not noticed him. What was strange is that her music hadn't awakened him but the crashing of sand bags and lights most certainly did.

Jumping awake startled and dis-oriented he fell over the seat in front of him and landed with a light thud on the floor. Standing up he moved to the walkway between the rows of seats and got his bearings on the surrounding area. Shaking the sleep off he walked towards the stage where it seemed all the mayhem had come from. Laughing lightly as he rubbed the back of his head he climbed up on the stage. "You all alright?" Then the girl who he assumed by her shoes had been dancing came into his view and giving her a quick look over nodded. "You alright miss? Falling lights tend to hurt." Of course sandbags and the light were noticed by him when he climbed up on the stage, so the observation had been made.

Josh recovered from physical pain at a remarkable rate, nonetheless he stood there in his pose frozen as if he were a statue. Granted, he would be a very odd statue. He could hear someone getting up from the floor, and while his brain was screaming for him to run for it, much akin to a nightmare, his body was unwilling or unable to make any type of movement towards the door. Another creak along the floorboard sounded. In another step whoever was there would see him near-spread eagle tangled in a mass of rope.

*...* His eyes darted from the left to the right. *MOVE DAMMIT!* He shouted to himself. To no avail. Then Sakura stepped into view, Josh could just barely see her from his peripheral. *Fuck fuckity fuck.* Of course it was the girl he had followed into the room, why would anything convenient happen this evening? He could still hold out hope that she hadn't actually seen him following her, that would make for awkward conversation. *Do I need help? Apparently so.* he answered her question to himself.

"What? No, I'm good. This is just a stretching thing." He said, trying to twist his torso to his left, then sporadically stopped, the pain shooting back through his nether regions. "Ya know, new-age...yoga...type thing." Josh wondered himself if he could have sounded anymore like a lying liar. "That's...uh...yea..." he cleared his throat and pushed off with his right leg, tottering like a weeble-wobble so he could place his legs back underneath himself. Someone up in the scaffolding yelled down, then cut a rope holding more sandbags up. Those sandbags hit the scaffolding as well, sending another shutter through the old wooden planks. Josh knew Sakura's hand was likely held out to help him but, but he took it as a handshake instead, introducing himself.

"I'm Josh, and uh....I was following you." He swallowed quickly with a gulp and interjected before anyone could say anything else. "In my defense, I thought you were one of the crazies that escaped the prison." Josh had a bad habit of digging himself a deeper grave. "You had the suspicious crazy look to you, sneaking about and whatnot." He regarded Alastor as well, holding up his left hand in a half wave, just his fore and middle finger fully extended. "Pleasure to meet you Alastor and....Tiny Dancer?"

He felt a couple drops of water hit his left hand, and like a mouth breather he looked up in confusion. All he saw was a blanket of dirty old rain water falling in his face, the second set of sandbags must have tilted over and pushed the bucket the janitor used to catch the water off the scaffolding. it was very unfortunate that his head was canted upward, for a good deal of water rushed up his nose. He would have choked from the water and coughed, if the bucket didn't land dead ringer on his head.

Josh's shoulders drooped forward and his head hung low. When it rains, it pours.

Not one but two...wait, better make that three... So much for thinking she was alone. While one boy seemed to be sloothing behind the curtain another was up in the rafters followed by a third who seemed to be just sitting in the audience. Sakura should of at least seen or sensed one of them; but it seemed she had been to obsessed with dancing to notice anything. Now one of them was injured, another was destroying the stage even more and the third was just... well, there. To make matters even worse she could tell the first boy was lying, it was a little more than obvious that he was in some sort of pain; but of course he was going to play it off. "Um alright..."

Turning to the boy who had walked out of the audience she nodded her head, "Yes, I'm fine thank you. The glass shattered over there..." she gestured with her hand, "...only a little glass managed to get all the way over here. Um, if you don't mind me asking what were you both doing?" she said hesistantly to the two boys who had just joined her on the stage. Looking around them she looked at the damage and physically cringed, she would be cleaning that up before she left today. Even now her hand was itching for a broom and a mop, the auditorium definitely needed a make over.

Feeling him grip onto her hand she looked back over to him while shaking his hand. "I'm-" her eyes widened slightly when she realized what he just said. Dropping his hand she took a small step back as confusion passed over her eyes. He had been following her? For how long? What if he had wanted to hurt her? Were her senses really so bad that she didn't even know when she was being followed. All she could think about was the fact that if he had been one of the escaped prisoners following her around she would have never noticed him; at least not until he decided to attack! Yes, she had been absorbed in coming to dance but Sakura needed to start being more careful...

Wait, Tiny Dancer? her mind shook her of her thoughts and she quickly covered the shocked expression on her face with one of confusion. "Sorry, oh I'm-" once again she was interrupted, this time by a bucket of water. Gasping slightly she took a step back in surprise as the bucket clamped over his head. Blinking slightly she stepped forward and gripped the bucket, "Just hold still a second Josh..." she said while tugging up on the bucket gently. Sakura didn't want to put him in any more pain then he was probably already in. Giving it one last hard tug it popped off his head and she stumbled backwards slightly setting it down on the floor. "I've got a clean towel in my bag, just a second..."

What was she doing?! Helping the guy who had assumed her a crazed prison breaker ready to blow up the auditorium seemed like the last thing she should be doing. In the end though, she reasoned with herself and although she was slightly offended that someone thought she had a 'crazy' look in her eye, his overall intentions had been good. Walking over to her bag she kneeled down and pushed a few things around before coming up with a clean towel for him. Going back over to the small group she offered it to him once again. "Here you go."

When Sakura yanked her hand from his and stepped back in confusion, Josh was taken aback. The confusion that was playing out along her face didn’t help in her defense of having crazy eyes. It caused him to ponder for a brief second, before the bucket problem, that perhaps it wasn’t just here eyes…maybe she was a little unhinged. After all, she was listening to Oklahoma; did anything else even need to be said? A musical about one of the most boring states in a nation that was currently being taken over, something screamed psychosis about that. Or maybe it was the thought of square-dancing that made him prejudice in the matter, spurs hurt after all.

He didn’t have long to think on the matter, as his next thought was occupied with a bucket being stuck over his head. Someone had said something, but he couldn’t decipher tone or pitch, the bucket was clamped to tightly over his ears. He tried prying the bucket off himself, but he couldn’t get the leverage needed. His nose was being smooshed down; the tip was just touching the top of his upper lip. The other’s that were assembled probably could have had a good laugh, he would have had the positions been swapped. He brought his right hand up and started to tap out the beat to Bob Marley’s “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” tune, the sound reverberated in the bucket buzzing in his ears.

*What did they say?* Josh thought to himself. It had to be something but all he had heard was a jumble of sounds that resembled ‘Justice is bold and swift’. *Justice is bold and swift? Oh my lord, is she?!* The only thing he could think of now was retribution, was she gonna blast him for calling her crazy? *Holy crap, what is she gon-*

He had to stop there, because Sakura was already grabbing the bucket and pulling it off. He didn’t want to look like a pansy, so he didn’t start to freak out when she had him at her mercy. That would have been in bad form for someone like him, reputation to uphold and all. He was surprised when she didn’t tear the bucket off, and relieved. It came off with a pop that stung his ears from the suction, and his nose sprung back up into its natural place. Josh scrunched his face up and moved it about, wiggling his nose, eyebrows, lips and ears to give them back feeling.

“Uhh…cool.” He muttered that to himself in response to her offering of a towel. *What in the world is she doing…did she spread smallpox on the towel?* He couldn’t help but wonder why in the world she would offer him something to clean the smelly old rain water off of himself with. If there roles were reversed and someone had been stalking him…well, he likely would have done the same. But Josh was trusting to a fault, stupidly so at times.

She came back with a clean, soft towel and held it out to him. Josh looked from her to the towel twice and took it slowly. Before using it he did another double take and smiled.

“Well, that’s…very kind of you.” He draped the towel over both his hands and started to blot away the water that had clung to his face. While doing so he continued to talk. “So, I never did get your name Tiny Dancer.” Josh whipped the towel behind his head and caught it with his other hand, and with a quick side-to-side motion started to move up his neck to his head.

((OOC: Well I was gonna wait for the other two to do something...but I got ansy. ^_^;;))

Watching the look on his face Sakura realized that he probably still thought she was some kind of terrorist. Did she honestly have the look of someone who was going to blow up the auditorium? Really, how many terrorists go out to secure bombs in ballet point shoes and tights? It didn't really seem like the best clothing choice to her. Even now, she was trying to offer him some help and he continued to believe she was some kind of crazy person! If she were anyone else she probably would have banged on the bucket while it was still on his head and then proceed to leave him for dead; but she wasn't, so she pushed his suspicions aside and continued to try and help. When he finally did take the towel with a smile she realized she was in the clear.

"Your welcome, uhm so do you always lurk around looking for crazy people at night?" she asked while walking off stage for a moment and returning with a broom in hand. Carefully she began pushing the glass towards the center of the stage into a neat little pile. Sakura realized that if she wanted to get any sort of cleaning out of the way tonight she needed to start now. If security or the janitor saw this mess in the morning they would never leave the door open for her again! After all the pleading and begging she'd done in the past few days she was not ready to lose this priviledge. Why can't you come in during the day? they had asked her, giving her the same look Josh had given her earlier. Well that would be because I work three jobs, attend classes and try to sleep and eat somewhere inbetween... So they agreed to let her in for one night, and if she didn't screw it up they would talk about allowing her to do it again in the future.

Carefully she walked around her pile to drag over a large trash can and a dust pan. Kneeling down she was about halfway done when she heard that name again: Tiny Dancer. "Me? Oh! Sorry, I'm Sakura. I tried to tell you before but then well..." she motioned towards the bucket and figured he would realize the rest on his own. Who knew how long that bucket had been up there or how old that water was?

Finishing up the glass she dumped the pan into the bin with a relatively loud CrAsH making her wince slightly. "Just out of curiosity, did I really look like a crazy prison escapee?" she asked while frowning slightly and dragging the trash can to its oribinal place off-stage. For some reason she couldn't get that thought out of her mind. Did she really look as deranged as the look in his eyes had suggested?

Zar nodded to her when she confirmed she was just fine and he approached her and the other boy whom had identified himself as Josh. Now already this night was oddly out of place, but none the less amusing. Then a new struggle for composure arose as a bucket clamped itself to Josh's head. Now normally this would have caused Zar to go into a fit of laughter but he decided it was more tasteful to hold it back however big a struggle it was.

Now as he avoided broken glass and water he extended a hand to help Josh up. As the girl introduced herself he thought it in good taste to do the same so as not to be the only un-named part of the group. "My names Zar, nice to meet both of you. Your head okay Josh?" he asked once again fighting back the laughter, but finding it hard. "As for what I was doing here, well I was sleeping until the crashes, booms and bangs started, but o harm no foul." He smiled weakly as he toyed with the two coins in his pocket.

Simply stepping back from the situation and letting things calm down his thoughts drifted from the scene at hand to his two coins. He couldn't loose these two, which of course was his only thought once he felt them in his pocket. Shaking the thought from his mind he extended a hand to help Josh to his feet.
