Since it was early evening, that meant it was coming on closing time at the big bank in downtown Domino. And since it was Friday, that meant that the place was packed with all of the people getting off of work. They were all there, looking to make their deposits or to withdraw some money to use over the weekend -- since the place would soon be closed until Monday! Long lines, lots of boring waiting.... didn't sound like much of a fun time, huh?

And yet, Knives was there too, hoping to cash a check he'd gotten from his dad. Normally, he'd avoid such a crowd, but if he didn't get this money, he'd be pretty much broke over the weekend. After all, he was a high school student, and having just moved in, he didn't have a job. And while he did live in a dorm on-campus, and could probably get off without spending any money all weekend, that wouldn't be fun... all the fun things cost money!

So, that's why Knives was standing in line on this Friday afternoon, a hand in the pocket of his khaki shorts, blue eyes gazing off, unfocused, at the wall across the room. His bushy tail hung lazily towards the ground behind him, and every so often, one of his big, pointy ears would twitch. But he looked rather bored; oh, how this sucked. If only he'd have thought to bring some music... or something, anything to do!

All he could do was wait...

Around the room, there were other people with dog ears. None had ears as big as Knives, but they had ears nonetheless. Yet, in a huge, crowded room, full of other meta-humans, it wasn't exactly obvious. In fact, they blended in cleanly, not noticed by any. Every so often, these people would glance at each other, maybe even give a small, unnoticeable nod.

It was Friday evening and it was time to prepare for the weekend. It would be fun and amazing. Clubs, girls, parties, and just the general playboyness that was Felix. The weekends were where it was at! But Felix had his money. He didn't need to cash a check or deposit anything. So why was he had the bank? The same reason he was anywhere else, a girl. That's girl, one of his females friends had called him up and wanted him to pick her up after work for some fun and a party. Simple task and a great reward for Felix. After all, parties were eternally fun.

And so, dressed in black jeans and thin black hoodie, Felix was dressed fashionable and comfortably even in the hot weather. He wore his shade even though soon he would have to take them off. He'd get to the when it was important. Needless to say, the bank was packed when he arrived. The place was busy and everything looked boring and long. Felix was just glad that he didn't have to actually wait in the lines. Sighing, he sat down on a nearby bench and leaned back. He'd just wait it out for the girl and get out of here before it got too boring.

Stomp, stomp, stomp. Brush, brush, brush. Munch, munch, munch. Splash, splash, splash. Rustle, rustle, rustle. The daily morning routine in the day and life of Tayb. Sadly, since today Tayb hadn't had any classes, his daily morning routine didn't kick in until about 6 o'clock. Getting up, Tayb mused over the question of what to do with the remaining hours. Friday night. Party time., he thought to himself. He threw on a pair of baggy jeans whose material had been ripped off from the the shin down. Then he put on a tight, gray t-shirt that had AHS emblazoned all over in different print, and he tied his strange ensemble together with a black, pinstriped waistcoat. Stretching, Tayb went up to his dressing table, where his little figurines were all arranged to look like they were running away from a clay spider. Silly, silly Tayb. He grabbed his wallet, and opened it. To his utter (lack of) surprise, and except for some movie ticket stubs, his I.D., and a library card, the wallet was empty. "Bank time..." he muttered to himself.

He made his way out of the dorm, down the stairs, and eventually, to Domino Town. Lack of money sucked. Couldn't get any transportation besides his feet. Oh well. He passed all manner of people, from normal looking humans, to those with glowing green eyes, to those with fur. And the best bit was that none of it was out of place. He was always happy to be surrounded by all these people and buildings. The place had an almost supernatural feel, like a... meta-feel. Makes sense. He was a few blocks away from the bank. Oh ho, look at that hottie. Now one block away. He passed a bench with a bored looking teen on it and finally entered the bank, taking his spot behind a nekojin. "No, wait. He looks more dog...ular." Tayb muttered that last comment just loud enough.
