Name: Leon Alexei Rasputin Codename: Messiah Age: 16 DOB: 12/05/92 Gender: Male School: St. Lily Grade: 10 Race: Meta-human Appearance/Clothing: The most noticeable thing about Leon is his impressive size. He’s not fat or overweight by any stretch of imagination, but just large. He stands nearly six foot seven, and weighs about two hundred pounds. Most of that weight is from his muscles. Though Leon doesn’t exercise as frequently as say, a football player, Leon is built like a body builder: He’s literally got muscle all over his body, and shoulders wide enough for a petite girl to sit on comfortably. His arms are long and meaty, and bear several scars along the outside, products of numerous street fights he’s been in over the years. If possible, his feet are even bigger than his hands, something that actually earned him the name “bigfoot” in elementary school. To some this entire image may seem imposing, but the way Leon moves about nearly ruins the image. He walks with a noticeable slouch, neck bent forward and shoulders slumped, and his footsteps aren’t very far apart. It makes him appear smaller and more insignificant than he really is. Despite being big enough to play football professionally, Leon’s face is like that of a normal guy, not a heavy weight. There always seem to be bags under Leon’s droopy eyes, making him seem perpetually sleepy, like he has insomnia or something (in reality, he actually sleeps too much). His squared off chin is fuzzy with short hairs, the results of a failed attempt to grow a soul patch, which grew everywhere on his chin except right under the lower lip. Though Leon’s black hair is normally long enough to reach down to his chin, he prefers to mousse the crap out of it, styling it into shiny waves slicked to one side. Around his forehead he ties a red bandanna, which covers his thick eyebrows. In fact, this bandanna is such an important element to his outfit, that it is rumored that he has never taken it off. What lies under the bandanna is a complete mystery. Leon tends to wear the same kind of thing, regardless of weather, and even a few times the same thing a few days in a row. He’ll usually be wearing some kind of baggy T-shirt, with one of his favorites being a shirt with an arrow pointing towards the St. Lily logo with the words “I’m with stupid below it.” Though it tends to piss off his fellow students, none have been brazen enough to pick a fight with the muscle-bound hulk that is Leon. Over that, he’ll wear a bulky, royal blue jacket adorned with various badges, patches, and all sorts of little do-dads that look nifty, like a scale-patterned band around one sleeve. His preferred pants, like seemingly everything he wears, are baggy and oversized, and frequently have holes or tears in them. Overall, Leon’s fashion sense isn’t that great, though it does make him look rather “dangerous,” like a street punk. Personality: Leon’s personality is highly conflicting. On one hand- and this is how he usually is around people- he’s a generally nice and amiable sort of guy, not prone towards making fun of people for no reason. He is a tad blunt though, even when talking about sensitive issues, which can make him come off as insensitive, but he doesn’t really do it on purpose. Leon just tells it like it is, that’s all. Leon also has the tendency to fall in love very easily, like the whole “love at first sight” kind of thing, but treats women with more respect and kindness than most. One thing that Leon is not is a worrier. Even with important things like school and money, he takes the path of least resistance, and doesn’t spend a whole lot of time fretting about what might happen. He just goes with the flow and takes things as they come. This life style has worked out fine for him so far, most of the time anyway, so he doesn’t have any real desire to change it. On the other hand though, Leon is no stranger to fighting. Despite his normally carefree and considerate nature, Leon practically grew up on the streets, and adapted accordingly. Be warned: When angered- usually when his friends are threatened or the innocent are abused- he is more than capable of kicking the tar out of somebody, and has never hesitated to do so. Leon doesn’t even mind getting physical either. To him, it’s just something that has to be done when there’s no other alternative. And, when angered and goaded into fighting, Leon becomes a completely different person: Serious, tactical, and utterly unforgiving. His fighting style is brutal and unrefined, and he has no qualms about taking cheap shots. It is no surprise then that many who see this side of Leon, even having seen his more gentle side, become afraid of him. Besides all that though, Leon is a man with many passions. Though one might not believe it, Leon is an avid Otaku, a lover of manga and anime. Most of his dorm room is dominated by shelves holding his collections of anime and japanese comics. He is also quite skilled with his hands, and as such enjoys building things and creating things out of wood. So although he sucks at nearly every kind of art, Leon is fairly adept at carving and whittling. Really, anything that involves skill full use of the hands, Leon can do. In regards to sports, Leon isn’t terribly interested. The only ones he really likes are wrestling, especially when it involves hot chicks, and boxing. Furthermore, Leon’s affinity for animals is amazing, and, sometimes, kinda eerie. Animals, ranging from mice to birds to big scary dogs, just seem to like him. Leon can literally sit in one place and have chipmunks and squirrels and the like simply flock to him. Now, Leon isn’t a terribly smart guy (terrible grades in school), but he certainly knows the difference between right and wrong. This is why he definitely does not agree with Nation of True Humanities policy of Meta-human superiority. He believes that all kinds of people are equal, and that no one is superior to the others. But, despite having contradictory beliefs, Leon is grateful to the Nation for giving him a chance to receive an education at St. Lily’s when he would otherwise be unable to get one, and so tries not to publicly speak out against them. Special Powers/Weapons: Leon’s unique powers take the form of an ethereal, golden aura of light that he can create around his body. Though the aura resembles flickering flames, they barely even warm to the touch, and it radiates outwards from his body rather than up. Whenever Leon calls upon this aura, his hair mysteriously turns a pure gold color, and causes it to splay outwards. Though it appears magical in nature, this golden aura is actually a manifestation of his own special brand of psychic power. The foremost ability of Leon’s aura is to hyper-accelerate evolution in plants and animals. Any living thing, aside from anything sentient, within six or so feet of him (the maximum range of the auras power) is potentially subject to this power. It allows him to induce large-scale mutations in plants and animals that would normally take thousands of years in only a few seconds. For example, he could take a common rat, and rapidly evolve it to the point where it has spines like a porcupine, six legs, and is the size of a dog. Leon is not limited to purely physical mutations either. He is even capable of hyper-evolving the structure of the brains of animals to make them more aggressive or docile. These mutations last only for about a half hour, however, and the affected creatures will gradually devolve into their original state after words. The mutations he can induce are limited as well, mostly by type of animal or plant. For example, mammals can only be mutated into mammalian forms with just a small possibility of reptile, and it would be similar for birds and fish and such. Hyper-evolving a creature is naturally taxing as well, so it can only be performed on a medium sized creature (like a dog) every few minutes, though smaller organisms can be mutated more frequently. The golden aura’s secondary power also deals with life, though in a much more bizarre way. Leon can use the aura to transform inorganic, non-living objects into living, organic versions of themselves, as long as they are within six feet and are smaller than he is. Objects affected by this power usually take organic forms that resemble their inorganic ones, as in an extension cord turning into a serpent. Objects that are transformed into living things can sometimes even retain functions that their inanimate form had. For example, a tortoise that was once a toaster could still have the ability to cook bread in slots on its back. Anything that Leon transforms are under his control, but can still act on their own, as they do have their own intellect. As with the hyper-evolved creatures that Leon can also create, transformed objects will revert into an inanimate state after about a half hour. Furthermore, Leon only has enough skill to transform something into a living creature once every few minutes, enough time to recharge the power of his aura. And of course, completely transforming something into a living version of itself takes a bit of time and concentration, usually a minute or so for a medium sized object. Lastly, Leon's body is permenantly suffused with his own aura, enhancing his own physiological functions. This most noticeably manifests itself in the form of super-human strength. At his current peak, Leon is capable of benching nearly half a ton, though of course the exact amount he can lift depends on his stamina. History Before Arrival: Leon's history is neither long nor interesting, but rather kind of depressing, with "kind of" being the key phrase. It all dates back to when Leon's mother, a Russian immigrant, fell in love with and was impregnated by a mysterious American man on the boat carrying her to America. Unfortunately, the man either didn't know about the pregnancy or did know and just didn't want to deal with it, so he skedaddled as soon as they arrived in New York. Leon's mother, carrying a child inside of her and completely without money, now faced a new and unforgiving world. Fortunately, by the time she had Leon, his mother had managed to find a "decent" job in New York, so his childhood wasn't spent entirely in poverty. Unfortunately though, she began to find solace in alcohol. Large amounts of it, in fact. So while her income was still okay, the slim majority of it went towards booze. This didn't have a large impact on Leon in his toddler years, but became quite problematic for him in his childhood. His mothers alcoholism and deteriorating work ethic made it difficult for him to find food everyday. It also forced him to spend more and more time outside, on the streets, because his mother's addiction made her rather disagreable at times. Starting in his early teens, Leon began to start hanging around with gangs. One might find the idea of a twelve year old running around at night with a gang, but even at that age he was a giant compared to other kids and was able to easily pass as a fifteen year old (started shaving when he was eleven, in fact). This was more out of necessity than an actual desire to be part of a gang, however. It allowed him to obtain money and food, as it was becoming harder and harder to get any at home. Leon never had much loyalty towards the gang itself, though he did make close friends with many of the individual members. By this point as well, Leon had begun to exhibit minor signs of being a Meta-human. His mother had tried to bring him up to fear Metas, though, but since he knew her teachers weren't exactly "parental advice," he grew up without giving much thought towards Meta-humans. However, he had never actually seen one before, and so had no idea that the strange things happening around him were actually because of him. Things like erasers and pencils would suddenly get up and move around for a few moments, or his hair would appear to flash gold, that sort of thing. Leon would continue to write these occurences off as tricks of the mind for another few years. When Leon turned sixteen, he could no longer ignore these happenings, however. He had begun to see clear signs that something was happening because of him. His hair would turn gold for hours at time, rats in the streets would suddenly take off on bat-like wings, and every time he returned home his furniture had shifted positions. Now, Leon was starting to suspect that he was actually a Meta-human, and was causing all of these things to happen. The conformation would come just a few weeks later, on the day that his powers completely manifested. Though the details of the chaotic incident are unclear, even to those who witnessed it, it involved all the animals within twenty feet suddenly mutating into monsters, as well as street lamps and mail boxes sprouting legs and galloping around. It sent the members of his gang and a large crowd of civillians into quite a panic, one large enough to earn Leon on a spot on the news that week. As it was, this incident was enough to attract the attention of the Nation of True Humanity, who had by then already assumed control of America. Though his grades in school were sub-par, the Nation's agents who investigated him decided this he had the potential to become a very powerful and useful Meta-human. A short time after the incident, Leon found that he was invited to attend the Nation's new Meta-human school in Japan, St. Lilianna Academy. Though his mother vehemtly protested it, Leon knew that it was the best option for him, and decided to accept the invitation and attend the Academy when it opened in the fall. ---- STUDENT I.D: THIS CAN BE REMOVED AFTER YOU HAVE HAD THE CAHRACTER ACCEPTED(We keep record of it) Character Name: Leon Alexei Rasputin Codename: Messiah Race: Meta-human Gender: Male School: St. Lily Powers: Leon’s unique powers take the form of an ethereal, golden aura of light that he can create around his body. Hey, I am Dust/Alothe, and I shall be reviewing your profile for now. The profile acctually looks pretty good! Detail abound. However, your powers. The Hyper evolution/mutation powers are pushing it, however you are allowed them, but, EACH TIME you make a creation, organic, or inorganic, that have to be okayed in the Approval forum. If this is done, yeah, that powers good to go. The third power I've been told is completely okay *thumbs up* |

But having an army of creatures isn't the point of the power. o.o They aren't supposed to stick around for more than one topic, if thats what you're thinking. It's more like, using nearby animals as living weapons, or by turning stuff into animals to use as weapons. I can reduce the time they stay mutated or transformed easily, if thats the problem. Having them stick around for only fifteen minutes would work just as well. Getting each one approved every time I want to use the power, when I'd probably be using it multiple times per fight (and really, for fun in regular topics) would be a hassle for everyone of the highest magnitude.

Then perhaps put some limits on it? At the moment your character could go wild with it, if even for a half hour. I'd like to see it edited down a liiiittle, I do wanna accept it, but as it stands, you could make a cockroach into a dragon. |
