The world was not as it should be. Dem's senses were bombarded by facts that could not be facts, smells that could not be smells, words that were not words. He saw reality twist and turn before him, time itself pour onto his out stretched hands, slipping between the cracks between fingers like sands through the hourglass. Words came as sensations across his skin, colors became sounds and smells ate his eyeballs. This was the wrong reality that he lived in now. The altered, destroyed universe that had been given to him when he feasted on the mad vampire mound in the desert. To gain this knowledge, he had to take all that was there, and there was much madness. A servant, that is what it had to be, who else could be in his lair? Walked up to him, and tried to speak. Dem didnt care what it was. He only saw waterloo by ABBA staring at him, and the color powder blue assaulting his ears. The vampire prince of Tokyo reached his hand out, and thrust it to the side. A symphony of pain arose from the victim, of joyous triumph, for they sounded the same. The sight of music left him to the side. And for a moment, Dem was free of madness. His mind finding clarity for a moment incalculable. His senses were faulty, so he had to go where he was free of his senses, to the realm only his mind existed. So that he might glide deep into the pits of thought and remove the cancerous pustules that Malkav had placed inside him. "I am going to my coffin to sleep." The words trembled in the real world. But for Dem, they were icicles moving their way through his bowels. The cruelest sensation of touch for him. His feet strode across water, across sky, across realities free of life and thought. All as he moved towards a single black box. Crawling inside, he closed the lid. To dream, to think. To metamorphose out of his disgusting mind, into something greater. And thus is the tale of how Dem sought to become another. But this is not just that tale. There was something greater here now. A single guardian, by far Dem's greatest guardian. Who stood watch over the coffin, purple eyes filled with hate and contempt. How easily Kaie could reach inside there, slay the master, become the greatest of his kind across the world. He wouldnt even need to open it, no. Fire, a bomb. Bullets smashing wood. The fantasies grew in number and intensity. The stigma of regicide was one that Kaie could accept, he was already hated, despised for his willingness to feast on his brethren, his hatred, and his selfishness. And all that kept him, from being the prince himself, no. Dem was the only waking vampire more powerful then himself. Why would Kaie be content with prince? He could very well proclaim himself king. It was just a simple, singular action. The rush of heels on cold steel fell through the night. Another guard, a vampire who actually was loyal to Dem came forward into this chamber. His eyes only darting for a second, to the corpse in there. The vampire woman whose neck had been turned around completely by a single blow from the master. Fear was a powerful tool. However the interruption led Kaie away from his dilemma, gave him something to focus and work on. "We have a problem." "I know, Domino, the Vatican men. It's being taken care of." Kaie replied coldly. Perhaps it was not the gift to solve his problems after all. A brief thought that would soon be fleetingly gone. "No. Sir. The sabbat have found us." This was a greater problem then before. Dem had many enemies, even in his own kingdom. They moved where he slept every night they could. Which explained now, as Kaie stepped outside of the chamber that housed the prince. He looked through the great windows of the Tokyo tower observation deck. Looking down at the crowd gathering in the shadows. It was a brief calm before the storm. "Everyone we have, to the bottom floor. Slaves, ghouls, retainers, everyone. Fetch me my coffin." Kaie spat out the command's bitterly. He would have killed Dem while he slept, but this was a greater problem then any. He would never allow anyone else the glory of taking his kill. Pride was a dangerous sin. -- Far below. Was the crowd Bishop had gathered. He opened his mouth, the skin falling from his sharp exposed teeth. Without his lips he sounded far more raspy. But he spoke clearly to all that had arrived. Every being was there for a single purpose, to kill Dem. He raised his hands, signaling a charge. There were only four guards outside right now, blocking the gate. Each one armed with a machine gun, who simply started to open fire into the gathered sabbat crowd. The greatest joy, was that any that fell, certainly werent important. "Onward!" Came a shout, pushing the gathered mob forward. |

That loyal servant would never make it to her duty, as out of the shadows a hand grabbed her, pulling her against the wall. It took a few seconds, but Tanya Mare sucked the poor bitch dry, dropping her to the floor afterword. "We are one now, my darling...forever. Sleep well." She said kissing the husk of a body on the floor, wiping her lips and walking down the hall. "Hello everyone!" Tanya called out to the moving vampires in the chamber. "I've been called to help everyone get downstairs safely, now if you'll follow me please!" She said smiling, of course...her intention was to lead them right to the rabble below. She would throw this group at the Bishops, cause such a stir that no one would be left to watch poor Demitak as she drained him of everything. It was almost too difficult to keep herself from cackling evilly. Meanwhile, downstairs, all seemed to be going to plan. Except for the crescent of light that flew into the back of the group, sundering all in its path. "NOT ON MY WATCH, YOU MONSTERS!!" Masashi Karatsuka shouted, his sword like lightning as he slashed pieces off of vampires left and right in the Bishops resistance army. He'd kill every undead freak in a ten mile vicinity at the cost of his own life if needed. The things he saw in that vision...this was more than just japan...this was everything. And he wouldnt let that be on his shoulders. And so tonight, he would forget mercy, compassion, and if the world needed, sanity. He was a weapon tonight. |

"Get to the bottom floor." Kaie's voice was harsh as he stepped before Tanya, his hand clamping down on her shoulder. He smelled the death on her, he had met this one before. He knew not to trust her. It would not be very smart for her to lead the troops to deal with the rabble at the gates. No, he had to keep this one close. To take her head the minute she got out of line. No doubt here to kill his master. The question was, did he want her to? "You are staying here." He had guns of course, but did not think to bring one out, to press it against her and force her to stay with mortal coercion, even the dead don't like being hurt. Strange right? Oh well. The samurai was certainly a wild card in all of this. Someone that not even the bishop had predicted. Then again, he was also hearing rumors spreading that the diversion in Domino had not completely worked, and some survivors of the vatican's force, no matter what in number were approaching, if they linked up with the samurai here things would get even worse. What could they do to stop this one? Ah yes, the freaks. Two hulking beasts, with fangs and tusks sticking out of their veins, out of their flesh. Their marble skin hardened beneath the moon light. Each was around seven and a half feet tall, and they came towards the lone samurai with a speed unexpected. The earth actually quaked as they ran. |

Vicky watched the bishop start a charge with a sigh. Not the he minded the senseless killing of Vampires, oh no he was quite pleased on the front, the problem was, he was wasting resources when he could be using them better, it was not like there wouldn't be mroe guards inside with more guns. Then the samurai showed up, and made things complicated, because while Vicky could care less about undead, his vague sense of morals would not let humans be killed if he could help it. Vicky opened the trench coat he had worn and pulled out a mess of knives he had bought for the occasion, they were cheap, but he wasn't planning on keeping them. Vicky with speed faster then most vampires in quick succession threw two knives at each guard, one for the brain and one for the heart, Vicky had figured the guards would be wearing bullet proof armor, but that was nothing against knives. |

Hm....seemed one of the Bishops army had encountered a change of heart. Hmph, Masashi would let him live. He needed all the help he could get, especially when the earth beneath him began to tremble, and he turned to see two....very large beasties barreling towards him. "Holy shit." He whispered, not knowing quite what to do right now. "Ah...the kings faithful watchman." Tanya cooed, losing her head on account of being caught would do nothing, and so she decided to play it cool until she could find a way to spin this to benefit her. "Mm...but of course, sir...I would be nothing if not ready to be of use." Damn that Kaie, but damn Tanya too...she had been too hasty. She would deal with it, but for now, she stuck close to Kaie, doing as he asked in order to stay alive. "What would you propose be done next, sir?..." She inquired, looking up into his eyes, though an innocent look on her face, the wicked fire still burned in her eyes. Edited by Dust, Mar 17 2009, 10:25 AM.

There are several things important to note about most major vampires. Not only did they not say 'sir', they did not openly listen to someone that did not scare the shit out of them, and they most certainly did not die simply by falling onto the ground. How was that last one useful? You'll see a bit later. Now the above was a generalization, of course there were some that said sir, some that trusted and went along with things. However they were almost never very useful, and they very rarely made it this far. Something about the personality types that were attracted to the curse. Kaie gave her a cruel smile, walking her towards a great glass window, one that looked down onto the battle going below. The blood, the explosions, the dead and dying growing in numbers as it continued. "Purpose? My dear little one you have great purpose." Kaie's fist was something else, the blood vessels and veins inside growing, pulsing, hardening his skin until it was the color of polished marble. The knuckles connected to the reinforced glass, splintering it out, letting it rain death down on the innocent and guilty alike. There was a great rush of wind yet the monster did not move. He simply smiled. "We're going to get down to the front lines. Show your loyalty. Jump." The bishop's face twisted. The great fang horns coming out of his lipless mouth shook as his facial muscles tried to grimace around them. So that was that child's game. A trechery. But why now? Surely there was a better time to turn to the other side. Perhaps it had to do with the samurai? Little girls did tend to love large beings of legend. Yes the bishop still thought Vicky was a she. He did not understand human genders anymore. It was also so unlucky as to have successfully hit a number of vampires, those that the knives were not retrieved from their hearts flopped simply on the sidewalk. Paralyzed, likely to die unless the weapon was removed before the dawn. The large hulking beasts split now, one going for vicky, taking a body of it's dead comrade, raising it over it's head and swinging it down at the poor kid. There was not much worse then being hit with a dead guy. The other hulker had a long bone across it's arm, it would serve as a sorta pseudo sword. Which was why it swinging it's arm across at Masashi was not the best way to battle someone with experience. |

Front lines?...she hadnt planned to acctually...gulp, visit the front lines yet. Not until she sucked Demitak dry and had the chaos-y evil powers! But...well, she'd bounce back from this...and see Kaie's head on a spit! "But of course, ladies first." Tanya said a smile, chanting quickly in a dark hissing language that had not been uttered in many, many years. Her very shadow slithered up her body, forming two large batwings on her back. She jumped forth from the window, soaring on the wind of the night, flying town towards the rabble below. Besides...she had a trump card of her own to use tonight. Eheheheheehe~ Masashi blocked the crude bone weapon, though the creature lacked experience it made up for that with pure physical strength. This thing was huge. Masashi jumped back, a push battle with this thing was not a good idea, it would take speed to win this fight. He sheathed his large broadsword, chosing instead his smaller lighter chinese Dao sword. He charged towards the side that did not hold a bone sword, striking a weak point his first priority. |

Vicky growled under his breath as one of the Freaks came after him, he had not been planning on turning on the bishop until Dem was dead, but the damn Samurai had made things more difficult, the original plan had been to kill Dem, and then kill the Bishop in the ensuing celebration, but now he would just have to do it the hard way, and the only thing going for Vicky was that most of the grunt Vampires were in to much chaos to turn on Vicky yet. But that was the least of Vicky's worries at the moment, the biggest worry, was a dead body swinging at high velocity towards Vicky's general direction. Vicky drew both his katana in one smooth motion and used one to cut the incoming body in half, and the other to try and cut off the arm of the freaking Freak, using the speed and force of the cut to try and sever the arm instead of the sharpness of the blade. |

"Of course." Kaie managed out standing on the edge of the window. He watched the girl he knew was a traitor fly in the air, dancing between the thermals that existed from the hot streets below. He on the other hand, was not someone that trusted her at all. That wanted her on the other side. So in this fashion did he pull the alarm on the building. Large metal shutters fell on the inside of every glass window, every portal to the outside on the upper floors. Now there was just the elevator, and the observation deck. But no one ever paid attention to that. With a smile Kaie turned away, the girl removed from his worries he had nothing to do but pull up a chair and wait by the elevator door. His black coffin beside him, it's chain wrapped around his left arm a fast repeating machine pistol in his right. The weak points certainly were weak. And as Masashi lashed, the beast howled out in pain. The samurai was certainly more skilled then he let on. Especially when his blade seemed to hit one of it's spines. Yes it had two, how else would it support it's own massive weight? Well, without it's other spine the creature lurched to the side, eventually falling over. It was lashing out any way it could. The trouble was it just was not very good at it. Vicky's plan might have worked had the beast swinging the body be rather normal. But this was one of the bishop's hulking freaks, its arms were the only really armored portions. So when the blow came, no matter how fast, no matter how skilled, the bones grafted there would stop it. A dull thunk came, the sword having dug into the bone arm a good few inches, but not nearly enough to sever it. Then came the split half of the vampire. Yes, just because it had been cut in half did not mean the beast was going to stop using it. Now it was just...dripping. Blood was flinging everywhere as he swung the corpse with it's other hand. The brain meats went sliding out of the brain with the swing, falling limply on the ground, a feast for the rats. |
