As the night progressed a few girls shouted,"kawaii!" Suna-chan's way, two had propositioned him to dance, and only one had actually talked about the school at all. He made his way through the crowd again, traveling back to get more punch, weaving through happy couples, one night stands, hurried hookups, and crazy exes.

Once he got over to the table, he noticed a girl looking under it. Bending down next to her, he saw a guy hiding under there.

"Crazy ex, or did you try the, 'ditch the zero, get with a hero' line on a spoken-for lady?" he asked, half-amused.

"Do? Do? Why I performed no illegal actions at all. I simply went to the young lady's room and asked her if she wished to accompany me." Oh Eeth you fantastical liar. You were only slightly fun when somewhat sober. We needed about two bottles of whiskey to make him fun and exciting for the evening. But the man gripped Madarame, who was squirming, his eyes wide with a great mass of fear. The chainsaw loli was someone that should be feared, though the mayor Hellsing had a good amount of faith in his wandering samurai acquaintance. Better then trying to fight hot jailbait on his own.

However with the companion about, Madarame got a bit of wiggle room and, yes, you guessed it. Fled the scene. Learning about a crazed girl with a chainsaw who hated Eeth and a strange samurai who showed up when need be. The little boy was learning things. Maybe he would avoid failing this mission. Grades were in fact important to him. Which would mean he'd have to talk to someone else. Do something. Which unfortunately led him back to the one person he knew and could almost count on. Diyu.

The short lad started tugging on the guy's sleeve, standing close. His eyes darting back to the gathering scene around there. He was actually uncomfortably close, trying like any socially awkward kid to find a secure place that he could stand.

--

Yoko was being spun. Freed from her vengeance that she wished to level at the boy who had stolen her first kiss. She was dizzy by the time she managed to get control of herself. Her hands curling into a hard fist as she muttered the words 'rat faced bastard' several times. Honestly though, the girl couldn't figure out if she was mad about being kissed, or that it had been completely out of her control. Not that we will ever answer such a question. It makes the character sound far deeper then she was. And in this case, deep meant unfun, so let us get back to angry Yoko wishing to murder Carniku.

She found him easily enough, and plowed through the crowd in a wave of smokey hatred towards the man who had smooched and ran. She was not going to just stop and let him get away after this. But it was almost on cue for the girl who said it, for Yoko showed up in their sight not a moment later.

"RAT BASTAAAAAARD!" No one really knows where she got the baseball bat. It is not a fact we should dwell on. However her jumping in high heels, over the punch table at the lad, that was something that should put her on the track team.

Well that seemed to clear itself up quite nicely. Darrel was it? A small sigh of relief left her lips at the thought that this wouldn’t be one of -those- situations. Of course when he mentioned St. Lily’s her attention perked slightly. She hadn’t met anyone from the new school yet and had paid little attention to the gossip circulating about them. See there was something about Diana that let her ignore the typical high school rivalry stuff. Studying, running two businesses and dating Mr. Perfect was enough work for one girl. She didn’t need to keep tabs on all the social networks too. Somehow this would end up leaving her at a disadvantage. Those would be decided later as Neo found the call of duty strong at that moment.

“I will and don’t hurt anyone… too badly.” She watched him go with a sigh lingering in the air. Aside from having to let him go she was also amazed to hear him volunteer for a dance. This was a date to remember for sure. Where was that calendar? Redirecting her attention to Darrel simply because she couldn’t bear to watch what might possibly happen next she let a somewhat amused grin lace her lips.

“Diana McClure, current student, and that was the very busy boyfriend.” The latter was added to clear up any lingering confusion, if there was some. Neo was definitely more than a friend. That in mind he feline eyes narrowed slightly as Diana had a few questions of her own. “So are you enjoying yourself Darrel? Oh, and what’s St. Lily’s like!?”

- - - - - - - - -

It was only after she noticed that Zen was okay that she allowed herself to laugh at the situation. It would have been a travesty to end up with broken bones. Idly she wondered if he knew the girl. Judging by his reaction the answer was ‘no’. The amusement she felt by it all was enough to wash away any thoughts of the other girl being rude. Aww but poor Zen, moment ruined.

“Alright, but drop the last name.” She stuck her tongue out at him and had to agree with a few things. The dance was becoming crazy and potentially dangerous. She had no quarrels on escaping the dance floor for somewhere a little quieter. Chainsaws ans mad men were enough to make even her nerves shiver. Besides, she couldn’t play the guitar with one arm or, even worse, missing her head. Time to change the subject. There was a very random question that had been lingering on her tongue since she first lay eyes on him. “So, is that your natural hair color?”

Oliver walked away from Noah, taking his exit while Frank swiftly wove through the crowd to catch up to him. His thoughts were else where, though not exactly too far off from him. More like his thoughts where walking through the garden with some guy she barely knew and who knew what he was all about. He stopped short. Was he seriously getting hostile? What had the world come to! He was a dead vampire and yet he still acted more alive like a human than ever. By sudden coincedence, He walked right into Coreille, a bit startled, since she had yelled at him, sort of excited to see him. His mossy eyes widened on his expressionless face as he walked with his hands in his pockets. "Corielle." He said coughing a bit, "Uhm..I mean, Corey. Uh, Well let's see, I just saw Noah..and I was just with Frank..." He turns pointing towards the punch bowl table. "Oh, well he was there a minu-"

"Hey Ollie! I need to talk..to...you." A huffed Frank had caught up to him, his skinny tie blown across his lean muscular chest, the tip resting on the white of his shoulder. He slows his speech

"Err...Uhm, Corey?" a smile spread across his contemplative face, "You came!" He exclaimed. His mood was better now, more relieved, and Oliver would have to see it later. There were some things they needed to settle.

"Hey uh, I'll see you in a little bit man," he says to Ollie as he makes his way to her. "Better late then never?" He offers, holding up a flower and the mysterious little box he had before. "Don't worry I'm a pretty patient guy." He laughs as he hands Corey the flower, it was a reddish pink

---

As they both walked through the walkway in the gardena, Noahs hands fidget behind her back. She nodded as Viktor answered her questions though she was a bit confused with his short answers. She was going to have to try to pull out more then just that from him. "hmm and your eyes..they wouldn't have anything to do with your powers would they?" As she says this, the slight spring breeze sends chills down her little spine.

For some reason Athaleyah felt very heated. Her face was a tomato shade of red and she just glared at Vincent. Honestly, it wasn’t like he owned her. The boy who had asked her to dance didn’t do anything wrong, how was he supposed to know that she even associated herself with Vincent?

“I’m sorry about that.”

She felt embarrassed as she faced her dancing partner. If this really was such a big deal, she wouldn’t have done it. At the same time she wasn’t sure if this was something that happened often in the human world. Were they always so… protective? This boy’s actions hadn’t sent up a red flair for her. Then again she was way more inquisitive about people than frightened.

Kysse had been dwelling on her thoughts until the boy, Kaneda, approached her. Somehow she managed to not look sloppy while sitting there alone. When his hand reached out to grab hers, she acknowledged it by reaching out to his.

“I’m Kysse Ild.”

He had features she couldn’t quite recognize. It didn’t matter though, he was the only person talking to her. Not as if that were a problem, it just didn’t matter. These thoughts were running through her mind but she smiled up at him.

“I’m Kysse Ild.”, the girl said to him. She had a nice voice, which perfectly mached her. he grabbed her hand gently (Which was unnecessary; the girl, while she looked delicate, had alot of strength), and kissed it. 'It's my pleasure, Kysse. I just got to this school, and I've yet to really make any friends here. It's nice to make a new accuaintance.'

he sat down, and couldnt help but admire her for a split second. But he didn't want to make a tool out of himself, so he looked her in the face and smiled. 'So, How long have you been at this school?' He kind of grimaced at such a lame conversation starter. for some reason, the girl made him more nervous than he usually got around the opposite sex, which was unsettling to him. he looked around for a second, looking for something to start a good solid dialogue with. 'Um....' Got it.

'I have to tell you, this palce is really strange to me. The dances back where I'm from usually didn't involve someone getting thrown through the air with a beam of energy.' Yeah, thats good, he thought to himself.

(People that noticed suddenly that, hey...Jimi Hendrix was on stage...would probably find that strange all on its own, let alone the fact that not everyone would immediately guess it like Gojairu. When Eddie played, he was in a world of his own, you could say. When it was of his own music, it was like a dimension of sight, sound, and mind...The Twilight Zone! When it was someone else's, he was in that guy's world. Try to imagine a world where Elives didn't pass away on a toilet seat, or Buddy Holly swinging a katana and rocking out loud. The point is, while in another man's shape, it was like the wholeuniverse changed for Eddie, and that his shape-shifting put reality on a whole 'nother filter. As per Ryu's request, he moved onto other Hendrix themes for the time being. He'd give himself a break from Jimi-head later. And with that in mind, let's move on to Elisa.)

"Believe me missy, if I brought my real sword, it'd take up more space. And im just as skilled with this..."

Elisa: Skill isn't everything. It's only something. That hunk of wood is only merciful. And if you're planning on mercy, then you might as well not be carrying anything at all.

(A sword like that would be entirely useless on her, specifically. The different between a wooden sword and an actual sword is whether it has a cutting edge or not. People can sometimes do amazing things with a simple wooden sword, but it all falls down to the material in the end. For, if two people did the same thing, but one of them was using a metal sword, the metal sword was to be the one to hold out. Skill is one thing, and material is another. Elisa understood this and knew also, specifically, that a non-metal sword was incapable of cutting her. Her strength and her endurance could take quite the damage, but she was not immune to stabbing and slashing in the same way. This, therefore, made Masashi a most amusing target.)

Elisa: With that in mind...I give you two options. You can dance, or you can fight. And yes, I do think of fighting as acceptable Valentine spirit. It'll teach you to call me...'missy'. Heh heh heh heh...

(And, keeping that in mind, we move on to Som, who is- INCOMING!!!)

BAM!

(Zen was hit be a round of high-velocity catgirl, taking him down for a moment before both of them got up, albeit he was a little more high-strung at the moment. Som basically mimicked his attempts to act like a martial artist, though her fanged grin indicated that she was enjoying it more. She pretty much stopped when he calmed down, giggling at his expression.)

"Err... Thanks for the glomp? I need to go now however, I was in the middle of a dance."

Som: Okay, okay. I'll go after someone else then.

(And with a light in her eye, she suddenly dashed off to plan some other devilry. However, amidst the crowd, Som's ears twitched at the sound of more hijinx, something that would probably have invoked a round of Yakkity Sax if Hendrix wasn't on stage. You see, she saw a guy running and another girl giving chase, holding a bat. Som saw this and her violet eyes glowed an electric blue, calling upon the power of Ulyaoth suddenly. For those of you unaware, this power could call upon monsters as servants. And that is why a blue-skinned zombie POPPED UP OUT OF THE PUNCH BOWL in front of Yoko for a last-second interception!)

Som: You might wanna get movin' there, guy.

(Carniku would find the black-haired catgirl pulling on his wrist at the apex of his near-life experience. He had about handful of seconds before Yoko bashed through the zombie as is and Som was trying to pull him into a full-on run for dear life. Wasn't this a great Valentines Dance? Zombies and chainsaws and all! Let's move on to Darrel.)

“Diana McClure, current student, and that was the very busy boyfriend.”

(Darrel nodded at this, taking note of her name, and his name. Neo was obviously the responsible type, as he was handling some of the debacle at the rest of the party. It was sort of important that he witness some of the chaos himself around here, such as when he saw the chaos with the bat and the chainsaw and the ZOMBIE and Jimi Hend- You know, AHS is kind of a weird place. Anyway, Diana's comment didn't bother Darrel, really. This was a Valentines Dance, right? You could still have fun. Some people looked like they were having just that.)

“So are you enjoying yourself Darrel? Oh, and what’s St. Lily’s like?”

Darrel: Hmm? Oh yeah, so far. If you have any tips on who here is safe to go after, though, let me know. I'm honestly not sure, myself...

(This was a comment on the activity in the background. Diana would understand almost immediately.)

I could tell you.

Darrel: But you won't.

But I won't, yes.

Darrel: Vex, could you possibly make yourself useful at some point?

What? Right now? I don't think you want me gunning around NOW.

Darrel: Obviously not, but you don't ALWAYS have to be a nay-sayer.

I suppose...

(During that pause, Darrel appeared to be lost in thought for a second.)

Darrel: Anyway, I like it there, if that's what you're asking. I guess it's no different from here, just more exclusive.

(This may not have been so, but he was unsure himself and didn't want to be the one to give away anything special about the school itself. St. Lily's was watching, after all.)

Darrel: How about you? Do you like it here? And also...

(He smirked.)

Darrel: How full is your dance-card? I'd hate to have come all this way and not gotten one myself.

With the fight broken up, Ryu turned back to where Eddie and Gojairu were playing, to listen to them play some Jimi Hendrix. Blinking a few times, it took Ryu's brain a few moments to register that he was now watching Jimi Hendrix on stage playing. That was honestly something he'd never seen before. Nonetheless, they had earned their playing time for tonight and most likely for future dances too. Cupping his hands around his mouth he called over to Eddie and Gojairu.

"Hey, play something slower!" Ryu paused for a moment, thinking about his next request before yelling out again. "Then play Freebird!"

Go had no idea he was so good as a dancer and as he got the hang of things the nervous smile turned into a genuine smile, full of warmth and happiness. He was glad that he hadn't tripped over his own feet or stepped on Kira's as he expected to, but more than that he was glad that Kira was enjoying herself. He'd had no faith in himself, yet here he was. Then Kira placed her head on Go's chest and got closer to him. Instead of flushing like he usually would, Go blanched, turning completely pale. There was no change in his movements, but indeed Kira would hear an increase in his heartbeat. It was with a Herculean effort that Go kept his elemental aura from flaring up and possibly harming Kira. Fortunately, after a few moments, Go calmed down, at least to the point he wasn't on a "Fight or Flight" rush.

"Err, K-Kira-san," began Go. "Are you enjoying yourself? I mean, am I doing ok?"

Viktor was enoying their small walk, while the spring air was warmer than normal it still had a small bit of that winter bite left in it. Although the chill didn't bother Viktor, he in fact enjoyed cold weather. His eyes jetted over to Noah as she tried to pry information out of him.

He smiled, laughing a little. "gee what gave you that idea?" He asked the rehtorical question playfully. "Yeah...it's kinda hard to explain" He began to speak as Noah shivered slightly. Noticing this Viktor instinctivley began to unbutton his long sleeved button-down shirt. This revealed that underneath he was wearing a white muscle shirt. He drapped his freed shirt on Noah's shoulders, it wasn't too thick of fabric but it would keep the cool breezes out.

"I guess the best way to say it is I see sound..." It was odd even for him to say the words. Another gust of spring air flew by, Viktor placed his hands inside the pockets of his slacks. His frame, while not muscular per say, showed signs of toning. "whenever there is sound I see colored flashes...I guess I should be better at explaining this, huh?"

Carniku heard the question and looked up at the girl asking him what he was running from, he weighed up his opinions for a few minutes while another guy offered his opinions of who he was running from (most involving hitting on the wrong girl) before answering
"I'm being chased by the Devil in a B-Cup" This was confirmed by a loud shout from Yoko answered by Carniku rolling under the table so the baseball bat didn't crack his skull (yes, yes, unbreakable skeleton, we don't want to underestimate an ANGRY Yoko!!) and unceremoniously booted the table upwards with as much force as he could so she'd either get covered in punch or slammed into the wall, either way would work. He wasn't aware that the extra weight was due to a zombie appearing out of nowhere to help him and that he was most likely going to destroy it by trying to save his own skin. A girl was grabbing at his hand and offering a way out, which he was pretty inclined into taking. During this dragging movement, Carniku hastily bowed to both Kaori and Suna before deciding, with his options considered and verified, he would have to start running again. He dodged into the crowd and unbuttoned his shirt, slinging it over someone else with similar hair and began dodging and weaving with a white t-shirt being his only covering.

He couldn't believe his luck... how could the fact he just made out with a hot girl be marred so badly the fact she was COMPLETELY INSANE!? They always said you'd marry a girl like your mother, he was hoping she'd just look like Dreana not have her same lack of sanity. Whilst his mother was preferably to his father, there was no denying something evil was in her soul. For starters, she could get Ryden to do what she wanted. This was considered impossible by Carniku so he was already worried.
"Man, I'm going to ground, sorry, thanks for the help and all" He broke hands with the person dragging him and dived for cover in the middle of a group of girls and boys, the boys were suave, clean cut St Lily's lads and were charming the pants of some AHS girls. Shame it seemed to go so badly in reverse...

Zen smiled as she agreed. He wrapped his arm around hers in a true 'Wizard of Oz' Fashion. Heck he was half tempted to poke her tounge with his finger when she stuck it out at him. She was definatly fun; that was a good thing. He walked her down the path. The night breeze was cool along his skin as they did so.

He heard her question and had to stifle a choke/laugh. How many times had he heard that asked before tonight? Plenty! He spun around and walked backwards in front of her. "You'll be the first person to know the truth, but suprisingly it's my natural hair color. If I dyed it... It'd probably be gold right now", He said grinning; a second later and he was on the ground with a 'oof!' He had learned a lesson... Always look where you walk.

Zen pushed himself up and grinned as he looked at her. They had arrived at a more quiet location. Stars shined brightly down upon them. So he had fallen down at an appropriate time eh? He sat down on the ground and motioned for her to sit down as well. He fell back as if to make a grass angel if that was even possible and closed his eyes and threw a peace sign at the sky. Right now if the moment could last forever... Zen wouldn't mind a bit.
-----
Vincent had now fallen from sight yet again. The only thing alerting his presence was his energy level which few would spot. He had missed Leyah, but apparently she didn't care too much for him. Things like that hadn't mattered to him to this point. He was too blinded with fury to notice the random happenings that were going down at the dance...

Right now could anything get worse? Yes in a matter of fact they could, but for now it would wait. That kid came really close to getting his head handed to him in a basket case. It was times like this that he remembered he didn't pay attention to emotions.

His glass of punch finished as well, Kenji placed it on the table in order to escort Ally out to the dance floor. He wasn't surprised to hear her accept his dance request so eagerly, she was rather fun to be around, despite the short amount of time they've known each other. Just then, as soon as she mentioned the chainsaw, he turned slightly to where the sound of it was coming from. In the process, a couple other things that he noticed came up, both of which were incredibly odd in themselves.

"I got one for you. When did Jimi Hendrix rise from the grave to play here? And what's with the zombie and that girl chasing that guy with a baseball bat? What the heck kind of dance is this?" Questioning aside, the song that was previously playing ended, and a slower one started up.

"Well... want to try again?" he asked, making sure that her response from the earlier question was finished. Apparently, the song was almost over when they went out on the dance floor, and this one was a bit more to his rhythm choice. This time, his hands were set on her waist as he revealed something that she might not have known about him. Kenji was actually quite the dancer.

As the other guy was speaking, Yusei just kept a dead lock on him with his eyes. Wow, was this guy jealous much or what? But it appeared that he tapped into something deep down when he threw that punch at him. Was it rage, adrenaline, or something else... he just didn't know. But this time, he didn't respond to his allegations, the look on the girl's face, the glare she shot to him and her apology explained it all at that moment.

"You don't have to apologize, as far as I'm concerned, you didn't do anything wrong." he said, in that rather charming voice of his. Much different from the irritated one that he just spoke with, thanks to that other guy. The song was slow enough, so with the hand the he held out to start this still holding hers, he placed the other just above her hip as he started to lead. The obviously expressive shade of red was still on her cheeks, thankfully for her Yusei wasn't one to point something like that out.

"If anything, I'm guessing that you didn't even know something like that was even going to happen. Did you expect for him to be that possessive?" Hey, he had a right to be this inquisitive, the guy did try to punch him out after all. And it was just this one song that he would steal her away with anyway, the last thing he wanted was for that guy to start something that could jeopardize why he started this in the first place.

Right then, no stepping on the feet. Of course, Leon couldn't help but glance down at his. They were easily three times the size of Constance's. If he did step on her feet, then she wouldn't be able to dance for much longer, and that would be really really bad. REALLY bad. Leon, now even more unnerved than before, swallowed, and moved closer to Connie to initiate his idea of a slow dance. One paw was placed behind her shoulder, and another went just above the base of her spine (Leon blushed again, and tried to keep a straight face).

"So is this how you do it? I've never actually danced before." Leon admitted as he started to sway gently to the music. People around him carefully shied away, for even a cautious Leon was a potential disaster zone. Every now and then, he discreetly checked his feet to make sure somebody else's weren't stuck to the bottom of his shoes.

------------------------

"Eyes up here," Rebecca said, watching Diyu's adventurous eyes, "Or else." 'Or else' with Rebecca could mean many things, really. It was a rather vague warning. For instance, in the current context, it could mean anything from 'Or else you'll never be able to ogle anything ever again,' or, 'Or else you'll never have a reason to ogle anything ever again.'

But despite this passive hostility, Rebecca did allow Diyu to close in, as long as he kept a certain distance. They couldn't dance otherwise, after all, and Rebecca was hear to have a good time. She'd catch hell from Kitty if she didn't. So, she carefully put her muscular arms around Diyu's waist and neck, resisting the urge to sink her nails into his flesh (what with the anger issues and all). As they began to move as one, Rebecca leaned forward, just a few inches, and said:

"Sway had better mean what I think it means."

------------------------

Yes, at least Sting was here! Sting glowed faintly with pride. That was more than what could usually be said about him. In fact, what was usually said about him was along the lines of "Hey you, get back here!" and "that damn kid broke the goddamn windows again!" But really, Sting would never intentionally let Alyss down. Unless they were in some sort of situation where she had to be let down, like if- Oops, off on a tangent again. Sting reigned in his imagination and shot Alyss a happy smile.

"You look beautiful, Alyss," Sting said first, because it was true, and also because it would help ease the residual anger that he knew was still bubbling in there. He also deftly snatched the rose she had tossed out of the air and tucked into the front of his vest. "And now, m'lady, it is time we were off." With that, Sting swooped forward, and scooped Alyss up off the ground in his arms. "What finer chariot could there be than the arms of your love?" He whispered dramatically, and strode swiftly out the door.

Devil in a b-cup. Totally not something you ever want to call a girl. Like ever, it tended to just make them angrier. Yoko's bat seemed to hit nothing but air as the boy jumped and dodged out of the way, trying to put people between himself and her. Not a terrible tactic really, except she really didn't care about hurting innocent people. In fact, she relished in the thought of causing random people pain. However there were a few legends at this dance that would make anything more somewhat difficult. Especially when a boy like Niku did his best to win in silly ways.

The table smacked into Yoko hard, as did the punch. She was now drenched, and back hard on the floor. Her hand reached up, pushing strands of sticky, smelly hair that clung to her skin up past her ear. It had destroyed her makeup, large streams of mascara ran down her face, her eye shadow, blush and lipstick too had been ruined in a single untimely blow. As was her dress and shoes. Yoko was shocked there for a moment. Unable to move, to think, to speak. Just trapped in this moment of time.

To her the world blurred around her, moved at a different place as she tried to process what had just happened. She had been publicly humiliated by the man who stole her first kiss. The entirely worst memory possible for this dance. She finally gained her composure enough to stand. To calmly get up, tears beginning to stream down her face, clearing a path through the sticky red vestiges of punch that remained caked to her skin. Yoko began moving, not in a rush at the boy, but past him. Moving as fast as she could, the water pouring out of her eyes as she made her way out of the public view, to find a private corner in some alley far out of earshot of all these people.

A horrible way for her evening.

--

Ah, but then there was Rebecca, chastising the lad Diyu for his eyes. She told him where her eyes were, and he smiled. Preparing another grand, impossible lie of a line. "Ah! Yes your eyes. Deep resounding pools into your soul. They are grand, and tantalizing to any man. But if I looked only at them, it would be nothing but an insult to you." He gave a flashing smile, the nerd friend of his having shown up, but leaving him uninterrupted. Madarame was not a proper friend yet, but even he knew when to keep his mouth shut, it was easier to let Diyu fuck up on his own.

"An insult to the beauty you provide the world. Every glorious portion of your body, you mind, and your soul must be ripped open to bare across the universe. To send ripples of delight, of perfection through the fabric of space and time. For in you all beauty is captured, for you are beauty, not simply your eyes." He extended his hand, gesturing at the dance floor.

"And to sway, is to show the world the beauty that is not of your body, but actions your body might perform. To dance with me."

It was surreal, this raging monster of a girl who he was always seeing as someone who would quite gladly tear him a new one at the drop of a hat was now... crying? He watched her go and felt something weird in his chest. Not the strange, supernatural loop made of an unknown material that let him use vast supernaturals powers. He was used to THAT. It was something different... she looked really upset, and he was kind of responsible. Granted, she was trying to beat the living stuffing out of him, and it had been justified self defence but he had done it. She looked really vulnerable then...

His legs moved without his orders as he followed the trail of sticky red liquid, his callous logical side yelling at him that this was a BAD idea but his normal unbalanced thoughts were temporarily wiped clean. He reclaimed his shirt on route, the dancing boy hadn't even noticed, and held it in one hand as he left the dance unceremoniously strolling away while more teenagers happily congregated and entered. He knew this was a bad idea, but it was who he was. It was who Ryden and Dreana had raised him to be. He couldn't just continue like nothing had happened.

He found her, finally, by following the trail of sticky red liquid and hesitantly wondered what to say. Words had come pretty easily when he'd been temporarily possessed but now he really had no idea what he could possibly say to someone who prided themselves on being such a hard-ass. He chewed his lip as his mind rushed to find the words that'd stop her crying, stop him feeling such a weird inner pain and hopefully avoid TOO much outer pain. Now, his inner self said, say something that won't make her angry
"I'm sorry... I really ruined your day, huh?" No, no NO! That WILL make her angry, what are you doing you Maverick!? Someone! Stop the tongue! He's gone off on a solo mission! "I honestly didn't want things to happen like this I just panicked and believe it or not, I do know how you feel, my first dance my dad pile-drivered me through a table. It was quite upsetting for a 7 year old. Look, what I'm trying to say is... I'm really sorry. I know you probably have to feel pretty bad right now and whatever you want to do in revenge I'll just... stand here and take it unless I think I'm going to die" You've failed 2 out of the 3 points! What if this doesn't even fix your guilt pain, you'll have completely failed!!! "You really do look pretty tonight" Thats it!? Thats how you're going to conclude!? Oh jesus, someone send a message down to the testicles, they are about to meet a high heel at an EXTREMELY high velocity...

It was nice... her head against his chest, his arms around her sides. She could have fallen asleep standing up, still moving, if she so chose. She had never really experienced an emotion like this... this comfortable feeling of security seemed to wrap around her body like a warm blanket. She could very well have stayed there forever, just like that. There were feelings of uncertainty, emotions she didn't quite understand... but frankly, it was exciting... and calming, all the same. It was a unique mixture of oxymorons that, quite frankly, she was both interested in and couldn't seem to care much for; another one right there, it seemed.

>>"Err, K-Kira-san. Are you enjoying yourself? I mean, am I doing ok?"<<

"Hmm?" The soft hum in question that escaped her lips sounded more like the purr of a cat than a human. She didn't move her position from Go, despite her normal reaction of being surprised at her own actions. Instead, she let a blissful sigh expel as her features softened. "Just fine, Sempai..."

The words rolled off her tongue so easily, like a lover would whisper in bed; barely audible, and seeming to be completely out of character for her normal self. It was alright, though, wasn't it? This was, in fact, a day in which those who had never seen love finally come to embrace the new emotions with excitement and flare. So, why not indulge herself into the emotion, like everyone else seemed to do so easily. Her chest felt as though it were floating; hell, her entire body felt that way. Slowly lifting up into the clouds. Not soaring through, but gently floating, with only a strong enough breeze to gently caress those crimson locks from out of her soft, slightly warmed cheeks. Of course, that feeling of floating was well felt, considering that she, and Go, had started to lift off the courtyard. Though probably not noticed yet considering less than a foot had separated the pair from the ground, the more Kira let out a content sigh, the more the pair floated, Kira's gravity manipulation subconsciously activating, not only for her, but for the one she held... or rather, held her, as well...

“I’m not going to be much help in that department.”

The truth was that Diana knew about as much of the people around her as Darrel did. This was one of the many disadvantages of her condition yet it didn’t really seem to bother her. Nope there were too many other things to think about and look forward to in her opinion to fret about that. Perhaps she was better off, judging by the slight commotion on the dance floor. Raising a brow to that she tried not to think about it too much and instead looked back to Darrel as he gave her an answer on St. Lily’s.

“Thought as much. School’s just school when you get down to it I guess. AHS is nice enough. The student population is definitely… varied but between you and me, I’m ready for graduation.” As if it were some big secret. Any high school student in their right mind looked forward to that one day when they could say it was all over with and they survived. However, her little train of thought had to pull in to the station as Darrel asked something unexpected. Blinking a couple of times she looked at Darrel as if she hadn’t heard him correctly. Well it was a dance and that’s what people came here to do. They came to be seen, to be heard and to dance. Assuring herself that Neo wouldn’t mind too horribly she nodded slightly, her smile sincerely pleasant.

“Heh’ I don’t think they’ll be a problem if I add another to the list.”

Kimi was having a ball on a totally different level. Finally, someone she could goof off with and just act like a crazy kid around. It sure beat all of the militaristic and otherwise sour pusses she’d met before. Well, they weren’t all like that; there had been a few bright spots but only a few. One of those she worshipped like an idol. Silly little Kimi. She tried to imagine Zen with gold hair but just couldn’t get the image to look proper. No, the green suited him. With a sly little look she leaned in and in her best Russian accent…

“You zecret iz zafe wiff me.” Or so it sounded but the next thing she knew Zen wasn’t there any longer. Blinking slowly she looked down to find the boy on the ground. Of course she was once again concerned for his well being but before she could get a question out he was motioning her to sit. So sit she did, and thus seal the fate of her dress, finally. As the grass stains set in she tilted her head back to look at the sky. It didn’t last long before it started t hurt her neck and she eventually fall back to join Zen on the ground.

“Now this is more like it, comfy grass and good company.” Kicking her shoes off it was then she decided that dress shoes were modern torture devices but something else caught her eye. “Oh man, just look at all that sky.”

As her eyelids fell a small smile graced her lips as she took a moment to think and clear her head. It was done in vain as Leon was doing very little in the way of calming down. It was starting to make her feel nervous and Constance did not get nervous. All of her previous confidence had been zapped right out of her body and she suddenly felt the weight of Leon’s hands and how painfully frail she actually was. This sudden realization had her clinging to Leon even tighter, to the point he might notice the change. Ugh, to be an emotional female teenager and an empath on top of that. Fate was so cruel.

“Oui, just like this, nice and easy. You are doing a marvelous job Leon.” That wasn’t just lip service either. He hadn’t stepped on her toes and he was actually keeping somewhat of a rhythm with the music but mostly he was just swaying. “One day I will teach you the dances I know but for now this is just perfect.” Yes, perfect because she didn’t want to think too much right now as she was too busy sorting through emotions. Too busy trying to figure out which were her own and which ones were imported before registered the burning sensation on her cheeks again. Time for more conversation. “Leon, you look really nice tonight. The tuxedo suits you very well.”

Corey started at Oliver calling her Corielle. No one does that... But he was quick to recover. In a way he was really sweet, he seemed to have really old fashioned ideals and manners. She liked that about him. However, she forgot whatever it was she was thinking very quickly when Frank showed up, and couldn't stop a huge grin spreading across her face. His 'better late than never line' made her feel so relieved that he wasn't angry at her, and she was sure this would have shown on her face; as her smile widened and her body relaxed a little. She eyed him up and down with a cheeky grin and nodded approvingly, "You scrub up nice." she commented lightly, graciously accepting the flower. Whilst at the same time trying not to show that her heart may have skipped a beat when he whipped it out to present to her. She eyed the box a little suspiciously before taking it slowly from his hand. "What's this for?" She asked with a laugh in her voice. She was so tempted to open it and have a look but not knowing what it was, she decided she would wait until there were less people around to witness her reaction. "If you really are a patient guy then you won't mind walking with me before I open your lovely gift" she teased, bringing the rose to her face to smell it. "Thank you, Frank, it's beautiful." She smiled up at him and linked her arm through his. "Here's my vote for the evening;" she began in a playfully serious tone, "we take a stroll, enjoy the garden, I'll have to check the box and its contents more closely in private, and then we head back, grab some punch and hit the dance floor! What do you think?" She asked innocently, batting her eyelashes dramatically at him.

From where Ally had been standing with her back to the platform that was serving as a stage for the night she had not seen the Hendrix tribute, but spinning around she was much taken aback by the absurdity of it. Yes, he looked exactly like Hendrix, and he played well enough - so what the heck was this? For Ally - who had yet to see anyone use any sort of abilities openly it was a very uncomfortable moment when just about everyone around her seemed to grow horns or sharp teeth. At this moment the school lost some of its’ friendliness, but for appearances sake she turned back to Kenji completely recovered outwardly and shook her head with an exaggerated shrug of her shoulders.

“I - uh - don’t even know what to say about that,” shaking her head she studied the toe of her heel and chuckled a little. This school was defiantly odd.

“Well… want to try again”

Smiling she nodded - if no one else was freaking out about any of this - why should she?

Stepping out on the dance floor her arms slid around Kenji’s shoulders; she’d done enough dancing that she could hold her own but spared a moment to wonder if he knew what he was doing at all. She didn’t have to wonder long as he took the lead; smiling and moving along to his lead she thought that this night was going to be much more fun than she’d anticipated as she had only expected to be a wall flower.

At that moment, due to another lovers’ tiff, or whatever it was - the refreshment table went flying and Ally couldn’t help but notice they had been standing just at that spot scant moments earlier. Well - maybe this place wasn’t so weird. They were just normal high school students with peculiar abilities and experiences that made the more eccentric normal. Either way this was a lot to get used to.

Athaleyah couldn’t help but feel abashed at Vincent’s actions, whether she could control it or not. The boy began asking questions about Vincent and his reactions. There wasn’t any need to hide the answers so of course she spoke up about it.

“Well, no, of course I didn’t think he’d react that way. Then again there is so little I understand about humans. Either way, I belong to no one, so I don’t know why he is acting that way.”

This wasn’t something she wanted the conversation to be about though. So instead of talking about the incident she tried to change subjects. This was her first dance amongst people like this, and so far she wasn’t enjoying it.

“You don’t look familiar, I mean, I haven’t been attending this school very long, but I don’t think I’ve really seen you around.”

In the mean time Kysse was still in conversation with the boy. The kiss on her hand set her cheeks into a pink hue, a little deeper than her powered pink make up. The conversation turned from new acquaintances’ to the dance in a matter of seconds.

“Yeah, last year I was only here for a little while, but I did see the fireworks. I’m not sure what they planned for this dance. You get used to the violence though.”

As a result of her words she pointed out the boy who had attempted to punch another boy, and then the refreshments they had been sitting by had seemingly vanished. That’s what you would think if you hadn’t heard the crash. She felt as though her calm demeanor was a result of attending the school for far too long. This caused her to laugh about the actions of the other students.

"Yeah. Sure." Yoko didn't believe him at all. She was covered in punch, sticky and red all over, and absolutely not in the fun way. She heard the boy coming up on her, and she, quite simply, did not care. Well, at least she would never admit to caring. He had stolen her first kiss, and she wanted to pummel him more then a little over that still. But now, now was not the time. Now the girl just had to deal with herself and the shit that had just happened.

Clicking started to fill part of the air, a strange soft noise as the girl shrunk. Going down just a few inches, then half a foot, then a full foot of height lost. She tore off the high heeled shoes, pressing her feet into the rough ground, her eyes not even being able to meet that of Carniku yet. Why the fuck would he care? She had done nothing but screw with him and try to hurt him since they met. There had to be easier ways for that guy to get a girl.

"It was just a mission. For a grade." Uh oh, breaking the first rule of fight club, you don't talk about fight club. But oh well. Yoko let that little bean spill. No point in trying to hide why she was doing this. "Just supposed to find things out about you kids. You seemed like an easy target. And look what I get for that."

Carniku smiled and announced what was almost certainly the most moronic, but equally pervasively sound, idea that the St Lily students hadn't seemed to grasp
"You coulda asked. You already know most of them, I have heavier bones than a normal person and as a result increased strength and endurance. But you know all about that. The other thing is I have this thing in my chest that lets me use energy. That'd probably be news to whoevers curious, so at least you won't go home empty-handed." He smiled at her shrunk form and had a moment of shifty paranoia that someone would see him and assume he was hitting on a shrunken Loli. He realised why he had his good shirt in his hand and held it out to her
"I figured you'd need a towel, so... hope this helps." He tried to smile but was aware that she was probably shrinking out of embaressment. Even if he hadn't meant to, this was probably the most dick thing he'd ever done. She didn't strike him as the kind of person who normally indulged in these kind of girly things as gettin dressed up and dancing. He realised one shirt might not be enough and with great reservation, removed his undershirt too and passed her that
"Just in case, y'know" He wrapped his arms around his chest and looked slightly awkward at his now semi-nudity.

He still couldn't explain why he wanted to help her, she was a bully who had on at least one notable occasion tried to beat the living day-lights out of him. Maybe it was respect for another fighter... maybe it was his absolutely godawful upbringing he now associated abuse with someone showing positive affection towards him, this is probably more likely since both Ryden and Dreana clearly believed the same equation and neither Mihon nor Amy had had a healthy relationship. But for whatever reason, he did give a crap about her. Physical violence or not, he didn't want to see her sad and wanted to try and fix that. So he was now offering his $60 shirt as a towel and actively giving her an advantage over him in any combat situation to try and make amends.

"Twinkle Twinkle little stars how I wonder~" Zen said in a lulling voice as he kept his eyes closed as he placed his arms around his head. So apparently he was good company. The stars dazzled down like natures light shows for the two, and for once Zen felt somewhat calm since he had arrived. "Good to know your having fun."

What was that one song again? Three and a half minutesss and it felt like a lifetime!~ Perfect song for this moment. There was a song for every occasion it seemed which is why Zen loved music so much. He really wished the moment would last forever. The breeze swooned down upon him and swirled softly... As Vincent asked himself earlier what could go wrong?
/\/\/\/\/\/\/\

[[Asking such is a sure fire way to go down]]

Kanji; yes Kanji showed up wearing a red suit with a black under shirt. He brushed back his hair and looked around the area. Leyah had been rumored to arrive so Vincent was GOING to be here. Quickly get in, eliminate the target, and escape... Ryu was quick, but surely he couldn't catch him in state one. So where was he? Ah that pressure spike. It was him.

A pressure raised immensely as fire engulfed his body. The form was dragonic. Before anyone could even react there was an immense burst of energy as he shot forward. Vincent didn't even have tim to turn as a fist burned its way into his back and shot him forward into a tree instantly cracking it in half. Blood spurt from his mouth as he hit the ground.
---
Vincent grunted as he forced himself up. Was it that punk who asked Leyah to dance? No the power was unstable but immense. He finally pulled himself up just in time to get blasted by a massive blue fireball. Hitting the ground again Vincent grunted just as shadows engulfed his body. This was going to be a long night.

"You wanna dance Sun King? Fine lets!" The sleek figure shot forward and slammed a bladed arm into the fire of the foe. Sunking shot back and hit the side of the school building with a sickening thud. This was only the beginning. He felt a spike of pressure. Kanji was coming back for more.
---
Kanji instantly fired an onslaught of fireballs. The Angel King dodged most of them, but the last pegged his leg. He shot forward and tackled the shadowy beast. Fire and shadows shot out irratically as they slugged it out against each other fist to fist; fire to shadow. Why wasn't this form as powerful as Kanji had seen at the Onyx?

If someone didn't stop the two powerhouses soon... This dance would be engulfed in their battle. Ryu might even have some 'slight' trouble trying to stop them as their power was soon peaking... That and touching fire wasn't a good idea.

Alexander would walk into the court yard to join in the dance he had on the school uniform with exception of him having sleeves rolled up so that his studded gauntlets are visible. He was not officially allowed to wear it but it made him comfortable he would look around for a good spot and stand and watch people dance and listen to the music that was playing on the large speakers. He had noticed a lot of people where at the dance but their was a uneasiness in the air as if a battle would start and normal teenage angst. The potential of combat made him feel a bit better about his new surroundings he was still getting use to the school and the people that learned here.

He also known that should man from Meta omega ask him for information he would be obligated to try to get it for them. He would watch girls dancing with boys and the fun they where having. They where having dancing laughing and developing relationships with each other while humans look down on them and fear them. He would stretched and would move a bit to and get closer to the speakers and think about his family his little sister who is almost old enough to attend high school and wondered which one his parents would pick for her.

He would notice the scuff between to Meta humans and would step in and try place blade to each throat “hey know what is going on here this supposes to be fun if want kill each other meet me on roof at midnight and I will make if worth your wild” he to them would just appear to be student that has two energy blades but no other weapons at all. He would stare them both down cold and unemotionally he had no fear of them and was itching for a reason to defend him self. He waited to see what would develop from here.

"..not exactly," Noah smiled as she settles into the short placed upon her bare shoulders. "I mean, I can't exactly explain my powers either.." She says this thoughtfully, wondering if he'd actually understand them if she tried. She studies him a bit more now and stops to look at his eyes again. "They're quite red, sincerely, intense." She says this, thinking out loud, not exactly realizing this.

Again she blushes as she shrugs into the shirt. "Thank, you..." Noah comments as she subtly takes in the scent of..was it cologne? Or perhaps body wash, something, definately Guyish. They stop at a dead end in the pathway, where a stone bench rounded a small bed of flowers. "You...want to sit?" Not exactly knowing what to do, she shrugs and settles herself on the cold marble, crossing her right leg over her left. The hanging lights gave off a very romantic aura around them. Something that made her a bit uncomfortable, as her face turned a bit red, though with the hazy soft lighting you might not be able to tell. Save for the fact that Viktor might notice the sound of her heartbeat accerate.

---

Frank couldn't help but grin a crooked smile when she takes the flower and box as happily as she did. Corey looked really beautiful, but he decided he'd tell her when they were alone. More importantly, he was a bit more worried whether or not she would like the neckalce he had gotten her. The thin leather chaint that held a small silver music not charm. Something he had hand made, save for the silver block noah had assisted in cutting. It had an old world look to it, very detailed, and rustic looking, something he'd imagined would fit Corey very nicely. Since, woodsy autumn was totally her style.

"Thanks," He nods sheepishly, scratching the hair on the back of his head. "...You look, amazing." He nods laughing as they lead away towards the garden. "Oh im totally a patient kind of guy, and I'd be more than happy to ablige to your offer." He takes her hand as they run briskfully away from Oliver, who was now standing in a puddle of envy, spite and confusion.

"have...a good time..." He mumble kicking a cup off the ground into a garbage can 20 yards away from him. He ruefully searched for something else to do, but ultimatley found nothing, which he sat once again at the foot of the fountain.

The music trailed away from the two as they rushed off in bouts of laughter, Frank making silly cracks at the mushy themes throughout the 'love maze' in the gravel pathways.

"Hey I think I heard Jimi Hendrix before, we should so request "Fire" later. I'd dance with you to that." He laughs as they walk away from the dance floor. He adjusts his tie now, so that it fell directly over the buttoning of his slim white shirt. And his hair was smoothed so that it fell framing his face delicately. His laugh was genuine, something full of contentment, as he was spending time with something he truly felt comfortable around. And it was quite a hard task to do, to let Frank Iero's gaurd down. And yet Corey had done so easily, probably because they had alot in common. They arrive at a bend far away from the loud sounds and common talk. And he turned to face her.

"So..uhm, listen. *pause* I know, that we've just met a few months ago and all, but... in between that time," He shrugs his face turning a bit red, "I..just wanted to let you know.."

MAN was this hard for him!!! (xD) he shuffled his pure white slip ons, as they make a sqeaky noise, and they both let out a short soft laugh. "Look, I'm just going to be upfront about this. Corey, whenever I'm around you... I feel like I can be my true self. I don't think I know anyone who can do that to me.." His hazel eyes bore into her, the mood getting a bit more intense. "I really like you." He places a hand over the box and takes it, lifting the handle up. Revealing the necklace, he takes it out and shows her. "Its a permanate valentine, something you can always keep with you, to remember me, for however long you wish," He holds the charm up, the detailed rustic leaves, adorning the 'tail' on the music note. "I thought you might like it." He smiles softly as he ever so gently sets in around her neck, locking the clasp.

"Wait... what?" He stood there, stock still as he tried to crunch the explanation. Tulip's mother had died? He had met her before... and had sort of liked that woman. She had been kind, if a little ditzy... now she was dead? Issac swallowed the rising bile in his throat, and kicked his head back to watch the sky. "I'm... sorry to hear that... are you okay?" He looked at her, his eyes wondering if she was.

Issac looked at Tulips retreating back, wondering if he should go or not. His empathy had shut down, for some reason, and was refusing to give him an answer whether Tulip wanted him to follow or not. And then there was Jade, her figure in his mind going green. She was jealous, wasn't she? Of course, Tulip was - and had been - a dream girl for Issac. Although... now, knowing who he was now... would she still like him? The teenaged empath had grown a lot in the year that they had been apart. Now... he was very much different. Not only had his social circles changed, he had changed himself. He sold violence for nothing but money - admittedly, they were at least a little moralistic about what they were doing... but... yeah. By definition, he belonged to a world of shadows and violence... A world that had no place for someone like her. Not if he could help it.

"No, its okay. We're not together anymore... and... she looks like she wants to be alone." He closed his eyes, and Jade would probably feel him suppressing the urge to use his empathy.

As Tulip left their gathering, Issac turned back to Jade. His face was a little sad, that he knew that he saw such a person so hurt - like he saw anyone who was hurting. Her mother had died... he knew something of it, but it was a simple whisper of the storm that she must have been going through. He had lost his mother early, without any way of knowing who she was... who his parent was... that was something that hurt him, later on in life, but he never shared the bond of knowing a mother or being held in her caring arms. Looking again at Jade, Issac reached out to hold her hand.

"Hey. Are you okay?"

He pulled her closer, folding her up in his arms as - at the edge of their senses - a fight or something was breaking out. Multiple, if he wasn't wrong. Issac simply held Jade against himself as he rested his head on hers. He was confused - so confused - at what to do. He knew she could feel that. The only time where Issac Naku could be said to be truly confused. Even when they were in that world of carnage, the effect of the Mournful Eye, at least he knew something that they needed to do. But now he wasn't sure to hold her closer or to stay further away. Awkwardly, he let her go.

"I'm... not sure what to do." All he knew was to be honest. There was no ability to lie when you could almost read each other's minds.

-- --- ---- --- --

Alyss' face could not be said to have been smiling. No, it was a bit further away from that. She sighed, shaking her head. She wasn't the one to be swayed by compliments, no matter how genuine. But still... the faint whisper of a smile traced her lips. "Thanks. You'd look okay if you hadn't been climbing, too." Laughing a bit, she pulled her gloves back on. "I'm going out, Naru. Go bother Mark or something, I'm sure he'd appreciate it." Or maybe he wanted to be alone, to remember... lost ones. "But if he starts to look like he wants to be alone... well, just leave him alone."

She gasped as he swept her up into his arms. "Whoa!" Alyss found herself being cradled by Sting, grinning like hell... oh boy. Her arm came around, and held his neck in a lock as best she could from this position. "I can walk, damn you..." She was smiling in her soul, however, because being with Sting - no matter how irritating - was kind of fun. "Yeah, how about the Osprey?" Alyss really did smile this time, and - in a gesture of teasing generosity - kissed Sting on the cheek. "So let me down and act like we're a normal couple, okay? I've had enough of being... well, abnormal."

Viktor looked at Noah for awhile as she sat on the bench, taking in the subtleties of the music her body was creating. He couldn't help but smile to himself as he took a seat next to her. Taking a hand from his pocket he drummed a small beat out on the cold hard surface. He had no idea what to say, or do for that matter.

Suddenly an idea popped into his head. From the other pocket he pulled out a small harmonica, it was a gift to him from his father on the day he left for AHS, though no one besides him knew this. "You want me to play with you sometime..." he began "...maybe I should audition than?" he asked. Be fore she could respond he raised the harmonica to his mouth and began playing.

It started out slowly, and with a sort of bluesy feel to it. Viktor always seemed to be able to explain things better with music than he ever could with words. The music flowed from the small instrument, melding with the noises from around them. Crickets seemed to play backup for the cool notes of Viktor's.

He really didn't know what he was playing, writing it as he went along. A habit he had when playing. He allowed the short song come to an end with a few shallow notes. Lowering the harmonica from his face he looked to Noah "so, what do you think?" This time he waited for a reply his eyes staring deeply into hers.

"I don't want your pity." He was offering his shirt to Yoko, and all the girl could do, was brush him off. Seriously, what was his obsession with trying to make things better with her. She had done nothing but insult and attack him, blatantly say she was using him for her own deeds. Yet, here he was, taking off his own shirt to dry her off, telling her things that he thought she needed to know. But now, she really did not want to hear it. He had embarrassed her, publicly, after everything else at the dance. Normally this was the part of the movie where she started killing people with her psychic powers. No wait, that was pigs blood not punch. Eh, close enough.

Shoes in her hand. The girl started walking again. Each step she took, seemed to make her goal of vanishing down an alley farther and farther away. Yes. With each step there was another click, another few inches gone from her height. A pity she was proud, at this rate she would get absolutely no where!

Issac asked her if she was the okay one. Sometimes that boy just seemed to plum forget their connection went both ways these days. Jade could feel how terrible he was feeling inside, how he missed and longed for something that she honestly could not give him. He was thinking about his mother, and never having the chance to know her. It was one of those things that a person could only look at their feet, and try to pretend to understand. To say they were sorry, and want to help. The terribly sad, lost face he showed her, only made the issue worse. This also lead to a horrible self perpetuating problem, where she felt down because he did, and he was made worse feeling because she felt down. If there was one thing Jade could do, one thing to make up and help the boy, it was to end that cycle.

Holding her hand, it was not much of a gesture, but really any act of physical connection the goth girl valued. It warmed her up, which was the first thing to make her feel a little better. But that boy did one better, he took her in his arms and held her close. A position Jade honestly never wanted to leave. She felt warm, she felt close to him, safe and secure there in his arms. Her head rested for just a moment against his chest, listening to his growing heartbeat drown out the world.

Sure she was jealous about Tulip. She had the boy's interest even now. Jade had thrown herself at the boy a great many times, and even then, much of the time he never seemed interested. But there she was, someone that tantalized the boy, that made his emotions flutter and spark. Jade was jealous, but she could not be cruel to him and want him to herself. He let her go, at a bad moment in her train of thought. Only to tell vocalize something they both knew.

The girl took a step closer to him, rising up in her heels to plant a firm kiss on his cheek, before taking a step back. A smile on her face, a sad one, but still a smile. As futile as it was to try and hide her feelings, sometimes a human just had to believe in the deceptiveness of human nature.

"Go to her. Don't wonder what might have been. She came to you, obviously she wants to talk." Her hand grazed the side of his face, stroking the hair behind his ear and his cheek as she pulled her hand back. "You know me, I will wait for you. No matter how long it takes."

She was the problem in far too many of his equations. He seemed to have lost the girl he once had, he abandoned the work for the girl he had wanted, and now, just because she was there, his friend and old love walked away. Jade didn't want it hanging over her, the chance that she was ruining the boy she loved. She could not live with herself if there was resentment or hate between them, him wondering if he could have made it with Tulip. So she had chosen what most would have thought unthinkable, to let him go. So that he might try for another girl.

A voice in the back of his head told Carniku she was mistaken Pity for guilt at being such an ass-hole but he studiously ignored it. She didn't want his shirts to dry off with and she still seemed to be pretty upset (pretty upset? Wow, you have a fairly sound talent for understatement thoughts, I think she'd cry less if I'd murdered her cat) she was even shrinking as she tried to go into the alley, which was pretty uncharacteristic. What could he do here? She didn't seem to be particularily consolable. He floundered in his mind for something he could say to try and cheer her up, she continued getting smaller and smaller, what could he possibly say to make her happy now? Or not even happy, just angry instead of sad? He'd prefer "I'm going to castrate you" to "leave me alone..." At least when she was angry he knew how to react, he could deal with 'fear for his life'. He couldn't deal with 'crippling guilt'.

He even understood her reasoning, he'd basically kissed her at a dance in front of the entire of TWO schools and then dumped punch over her. Although, considering how these things usually went that'd probably be minor news compared to someone who ends up impregnating half the female population or something like that. But she probably wouldn't buy that... Unfortunately, while his mind was busy rationalising, his tongue had gone rogue again with another AWOL mission
"Would you like to go on a date some time? To make up for me stealing that kiss?"

In his usually crowded head there was an awful silence as one by one, nearly every body-part turned on the tongue and as one asked What the HELL he was doing!? Guess which part was busy thanking him. The only part the brain was rationalising as being OK was she would almost certainly just say no and vanish. Yes, that was what was bound to happen.

"You have to be kidding." Yoko stopped walking away. In that way he had been successful. She had just stopped. The tears stopping their streaming down her cheek for just a moment. A brief moment while she let other instincts, worse emotions flood into the reality of her being. She was going to torture him for saying something like that. Get him for letting his tongue run off without his mind. Yet again. Making the situation far worse then he thought it could be.

She walked towards him. Every steps he took, she grew. Becoming closer and closer to his height. Except, by the time she got to him, she was still far too short. She had to stand up on her toes, and still her pointed finger barely reached up to the top of his chest. She jabbed him, trying to push him back. Not that her little chibi girl finger could really do anything of that like.

"Why would I ever want to see you again. Let alone go out with you?" It was definitely something rude to say. But with a code name like Yoko's, did you really expect her to be polite. She was trying to be angry, just to stop herself from crying. A rather juvenile tactic, but one could not argue with the results. At least she was not shrinking anymore. And probably wouldn't mind slugging him. Not that she could do it at this moment. She actually had interest, had to know why the flying fuck he'd think asking her out after everything was a good idea.

He had humiliated her, beating her in a fight. A silly fight no less. Dragged her into the dance floor, making a fool out of her and losing control of her body. He had kissed her, taking away something that could never be given back. Taken away her chance for revenge. Replacing that burning feeling, with a sinking, unending cold of public humiliation and ruining of her best dress and nicest shoes. And now he was asking her for a date? Were all boys this insane?

Hmm, so even she didn't know anything about this. Not only that, she was quite the prideful one, wasn't she? It may not be prudent for Yusei to continue this little line of questioning for her. Besides, she was trying to change the subject. It wasn't as if he was trying to hide the fact about where he was from anyway, he was sure that a lot of people probably already figured that out. And out of the corner of his eye, he was a couple of people floating off of the ground as well. Judging by the look on the girls face, he had to guess it was her doing. But enough about that...

"You're right on that part at least. I'm a guest, of sorts. My school got invited to this little soiree, and I just didn't feel like being a wallflower. Next thing I know, you walk in, didn't seem to have anyone with you... thought I'd give it a shot and ask. And then, things just sorta... happened." He didn't even have to lay it thick either. Plus, he wasn't lying, as the tone of voice he used could prove. But by now, it was sounding like the song was starting to wind down.

Kenji wouldn't complain about that though. Granted, Ally was the same height as he was, but dancing with her wasn't all that difficult at all. She can thank all the lessons and having to go to his dad's company sponsored holiday parties for him being as good as he was. But she wasn't bad herself, the smile on her face was at least proving that she was having a good time.

"You know, you're really good Ally." A complement here and there wasn't so bad. And besides, she seemed to be really light on her feet, as the cliche goes. Thankfully, he had tuned out the chaos all around them so far, it was probably for the best that he did. But the song came to a close, far earlier then he would have wanted by now. The observations did take a while after all.

"So, Ally, what would you like to do now?

Well great. And here Neo went and tried to avoid the calamity that Eeth got himself stuck in. And now a couple of students were trying to wreck the place. He actually had to sigh for a second there over this, before blinking out of where he was. Kanji and Vincent was about to learn science lesson one: High speed circling around two people would act as a wind tunnel, siphoning all the oxygen out of where they were standing. That was what was happening, which in turn extinguished the flames he was using.

Didn't really take long there, especially cause anyone would have serious problems breathing in a situation like this. And he grabbed them both by the shoulders to separate them both. And if Vincent thought Ryu was fast, now he was stuck with someone even faster. "Ok boys, enough's enough. Now let's try to talk this over rationally while I escort you two out of here for a bit."

Kaneda raised an eyebrow when he noticed the guy punching out the other guy. This was indeed an interesting school, and he told Kysse that. 'Back home in Louisania, we used to brawl,. but not at a dance, you know? everyone knew that was reserved for taking your girl out dancin', or meeting another girl.' He smiled internally at the thjought of being back in Leesville, or going to Deridder and fighting, or going to Lake Charles and crashing Sorority parties... he never thought he'd miss that back- water palce until he as gone from it. It was home, after all.

So, just before he was about to start another conversation (along the lines of where are you from, interests, things like that which usually revolve around if Kysse had a boyfriend or not), when one of his favorite songs came on. 'Blanket of Ghosts', by dustin Kensrue. it was a slow, blues type song, not something one would expect to hear at a dance in Japan, but rather a dive bar in the southern part of the US. it was still a romantic song though. Kaneda looked over at Kysse and smiled. 'Um, I don't suppose you'd like to dance, would you...?'

Eddie: Freebird?! Why do they always want Freebird?

(That was something Eddie never understood. Whenever people were at a concert and someone was playing - whether he was taking requests or not - someone ALWAYS shouted out "Freebird". It was like a sort of running gag, really, like shouting "THIS IS SPARTA!!" if someone even mentioned madness. In any case, Eddie took requests...though he might have to strike Freebird from the list there. He didn't say...that he would play EVERY request. Well, that was up to Gojairu here, more than anything, as he started on something slower.)

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

"Man, I'm going to ground, sorry, thanks for the help and all."

Som: Oh yeah. No...problem?

(Sorry, but Som's attention was actually off of Carniku for the moment, as she noticed the arc of travel that her zombie was making. See, you might recall that Carniku had kicked the table up to hit Yoko with the punch bowl, the punch bowl that the blue-skinned zombie had sprung up from... Well, the zombie had gone flying now, with a moan, and was now being flung at Leon. Suddenly, Som was wearing a military helmet to shout...)

Som: INCOMING!!!

(Yeah, she wasn't really having much luck getting a date, but at least she was having fun.)

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

(This leaves us with...Darrel, who got bumped by Carniku during his run.)

Darrel: Hey, watch it! Sheesh...

(His mission was kinda' not working out especially well, actually. He'd managed to contact the natives, and there was intelligence here, but the one he'd spoken to didn't seem to know really enough. Diana was at least charming, and it was good to meet someone with some sense. To be honest, he didn't see a problem with being...discreet with his own information, since he heard - later on - someone gabbing about the St. Lily's mission. Damn right, you don't talk about Fight Club! Still, though...)

“Heh’ I don’t think they’ll be a problem if I add another to the list.”

(...he did want to dance with this girl. Someone in charge had called for slower music. It was as though it were on a cue. Darrel began to dance with it, with Diana to follow. The funny thing is...he never liked the idea of proms, but all the things going on tonight seemed to make it more fun, in a way. He could scarcely see this happening at St. Lily's.)

Darrel: So, tell me... Are the students always like this here? They seem...well...alot out of control, despite Neo and the other guy.

Piper had watched the fight unfold with very little interest, a little bit disappointed that there wasn't something much further going on. She was almost pouting as she leaned against the wall and wondered how much longer this dance would assume. She had her own things to worry about, but she found it to be very curious that not one boy had approached her to dance.

Tulip didn't have much of the opportunity to talk to Issac, it was hard all around having not seen him for so long. Then to tell him about her mother, why did she think for even a moment that he wouldn't feel the pain she had tucked deep inside? She almost had forgotten his abilities as an empath. It was funny as she walked away, part of her had made her stop and turn to see him with his date - they both looked deeply connected.

Their expressions, and body language, could be that they were in love? Why did the girl look so distaught and motioning toward her? Tulip's face flushed and she turned toward Piper who seemed not interested in anything at all.

"You alright Piper?"

Piper looked toward Tulip, and noticing the girl was alone merely rolled her eyes. Why did Tulip have to be such a goody - goody? It almost made her sick to her stomach.

"What happened to your friend?"

"Oh, he is busy with his girlfriend. I'm sure we will get to talk another time. "

"I doubt it. It doesn't matter now anyway does it? Why don't you go and find a date and dance with someone.. or did I bring you here for nothing?"

"It's not like that"

"If you ask me, we might as well just leave. This party is a downer."

Tulip only shrugged and decided to lean against the wall next to Piper. Surely something else exciting might happen soon...

I was walking with the ghost

Even though Gojairu held a guitar, she joined in with the lower baseline notes. Sorry mass, I got the next song :P And its a teen dance classic.

If I fell - The Beatals
If I fell in love with you
Would you promise to be true
And help me understand
'cause I've been in love before
And I found that love was more
Than just holding hands

If I give my heart to you
I must be sure
From the very start
That you would love me more than her

If I trust in you, oh please
Don't run and hide
If I love you too, oh please
Don't hurt my pride like her
'cause I couldn't stand the pain
And I would be sad if our new love was in vain

So I hope you see that I
Would love to love you
And that she will cry
When she learns we are two
cause I couldn't stand the pain
and I would be sad if our new love was in vain

so I hope you see that I
would love to love you
and that she will cry when she learns we are two.

If I fell in love with you

Masashi put his sword away and turned to Elisa, putting an arm around her as the music slowed. "Fine, ill dance...your on your own, Hellsing." He said to Eeth as they began to sway.

Natsumi sighed, still no one....but! she had to keep focused on the mission! And look! A girl was just propping up a wall over there, why not get information out of her. She inched along the wall towards piper none too stealthily, and once standing by her...the hardest task of all...initiation of conversation. "...Th-this is a beautiful campus you guys have!" She said to piper, smiling. God she was so horrible at this~

Dancing with Kanji was pleasant. She was by no means an expert dancer, but she was good enough to keep up. Part of her thanked the lessons from summer camp. Seemed part of the world at least knew more than the bump and grind.

“You know, you’re really good Ally.”

Blushing a little she smiled, “Thanks Kanji.”

As much as Ally would have liked to have completely tuned out the scuffles that were being quickly taken care of by school staff, she couldn’t. The shrinking girl gave her the creeps. People flying through the air and the fire and everything - it was getting to be too much. To her still sheltered existence it was quite alarming and she was very quickly starting to think that being at the dance was maybe not in her best interest; what would happen if something got really out of control and the school staff couldn’t contain it? Mussing over the endless possibilities Ally didn’t notice the end of the song either until her partner’s movements slowly stopped and Kanji was speaking.

“So, Ally, what would you like to do now?”

Brushing an imagined speck from the thigh of her dress she thought quick. “Well it seems like things here are getting more exciting - is this kind of thing normal? Is it time to make a safe exit and go do something else? Or just keep dancing?” Glancing around Ally decided maybe it really was time to leave. “I think,” she started and paused, “I’m done here tonight. Sorry, I’m just not used to all this kind of activity…”

Honestly it wasn’t Kanji at all, she was just getting a bit uncomfortable with things like the huge swirling tornado looking thing and the creepy tiny girl…it wasn’t natural of course, and in time she would get used to things like this - but for one night she really was done with being at the party, though she wasn’t tired at all.

Big mistake. The fire emitting from Kanji's shoulders did not dim down at all. The fact about an Obakizi was that it wasn't real fire, even if it burned or acted as if it were. It was a physcial manifestation of his very soul... The anger that boiled from within him; THAT what made the 'fire' appear. Sure the lack of Oxygen was a problem for Vincent AND Kanji, but the second that cyclone stopped; the attacker had signed his death warrant....

That and the fact that the wind storm would suffocate the one who held a blade to their throats. The second the second student put his hands on their shoulders Vincent under-went yet another transformation. He grew only slightly in size and his eyes glowered red. Muscles formed over his shadowy body. It was state one: The form of strength. He sent a swift knee toward the one with the blades and at the same time sent a merciless thrust with his fist toward the one who caused the cyclone. Without even stopping to see if he had hit he had jumped to continue the fight.

Gah-HAHA! Maybe I should kill you; you manly beast!" The Sun King called out psychotically. He instantly disappeared due to his intense speed. He appeared quickly behind Vincent and lobbed a large fireball to his back. The shadows wavered and the cumbersome creature barely dodged it and brought a sword down upon Vincent. Kanji groaned as he brought his clawed arms up and blocked the blow and sent a firey kick toward the dark monster. The two Obakizi were starting to get even more lustful for each others blood.

Vincent shot out a barrage of shadowy tendrils tearing out a chunk of earth as they whipped for Kanji. They hit and sent Kanji flying backwards. They then thrust out to attack each other with a fierce blow. That was when something unexpected happened.
/\/\/\/\/\/\
Swords flow into the sky as if they were a bird trying to break free from the bonds of a cage. They landed around in a perfect circle around the two fighters. Inbetween them there was a blonde samurai who had several swords wrapped in both of his arms that were each pointed at a different vital organ or artery.

The Samurai looked up and whispered something. Both the Obakizi fell to the ground and he stood up. He wrapped his swords back up in their bamboo mat and looked toward the others who had tried so Valiantly to stop them. He nodded toward Ryu hoping that he would knock further sense into the warriors of shadow and fire's mind.

"Forgive me for my disturbance, but I couldn't let this go on", The Samurai said quietly. The shadows and fire soon melded back into the bodies of the two on the ground. They were not wounded; just unconcious. The Bushido leaned his swords against a wall and looked around. Several watched his moves, but he didn't care; the two would have killed each other.

He doubted that they had any control over their powers yet. The fire and shadow were full of anger... That was what controlled them. They had no idea it would happen, besides one had been jealous as it was. He looked toward the ground as Vincent muttered something that sounded like an apology toward some person named Leyah. Ah love was such a fickle emotion.

The Lotus Blossom Samurai walked toward Ryu and out-reached his hand.
"I beileve that to be the fastest I've seen someone move." The Samurai said quietly. He had seen the other one move as well, but his attack could've killed both Kanji AND Vincent plus that other bladed one. "I presume you to be the one known as Ryu correct? Pleasure to meet someone of your level", He said with a slight bow of his head.

Big fights made her nervous and they intimated Tulip. Her blue eyes went large and she seemed to almost freeze up when the speed demons and the sword fighters and the fireballs and... all the couples still dancing away. Was this such a normal occurrence that the general school population could just dance away like this and not join in?

"It is probably all over a girl"

Tulip was a little shocked by this explanation, and so she had turned and gave Piper a most questionable glance.

"A fight over a girl?"

"It's just an educated guess but if you feel brave enough to step in the middle of them to ask then be my guest..."

Tulip shook her head and decided to change her attention back to Issac and his girl, she was very.. well, she was very the opposite of Tulip. Not that it mattered, but part of her wanted to know their history together and what had been going on in the last year with Issac. As she would with any friend, she missed him terribly... him and Relen whom certainly wasn't anywhere to be seen.

Another voice spoke up.

"...Th-this is a beautiful campus you guys have!"

"Guys fighting, fire flying, and sappy couples drooling over each other in a desperate attempt to show off to the singles... yeah, really beautiful"

"I don't really think that is their intention's Piper..."

"As if you would know anything about intentions...you think everyone is peaches and pie and that no one could possibly have any ill thoughts toward anybody else"

"What is wrong with having faith in humanity?"

"The very fact that not all of us are human's anyway. Humanity is the single most corrupt thing in this world and - - "

Piper stopped for a moment, she was going off on a tangent wasn't she? She chuckled softly and turned her attention back to the girl who had confronted her in the first place.

"I am terribly sorry, my mouth get's away on me sometimes. It is really a nice campus, just don't get caught in the underlying web of corruption my dear kitten and you will be just fine ~"

Tulip, as always, was unconvinced.

The Valentines Day Dance was running smoothly, or so Daichi thought. There were a few scuffles going on, but the number of dancers seemed to balance it all out. Yes, they were all enamoured by the Valentines Day phenomenom, the notion that this day was more romantic than the other 364 days of the year.

As for Daichi, he had tagged along with one of his friends, hoping that the girl he met in the cafeteria on his first day would turn up. He'd even dressed up for the occasion, sporting dark pants, and a white shirt open at the collar. He'd had some trouble with the cufflinks earlier, but that particular crisis had been averted by the timely intervention of a passing student.

He sat to one side, watching the couples dance absentmindedly. It was a slow song, causing alot more eye contact and blushing than before.

There weren’t many things Diana missed. With a highly curious mind and overly enhanced senses she could become easily distracted in less than a second. Maximum entertainment from minimal effort. In her opinion the sense of déjà vu had left a long time ago and the dance was getting really out of control. From chainsaw toting girls, to running mayors, boys fending for their lives and jealous boyfriends she was ready to throw in the towel. If it hadn’t been for two things she may very well had. Firstly, her boyfriend was out there in that mess somewhere. She’d lost sight of him some time ago but kept a watchful eye out while trying to enjoy her time with the second reason she wouldn’t leave. Darrel was proving to be very interesting and all around a nice guy and there was a good song playing right now.

“No, actually, but this was to be expected.” Something Diana did understand was the general temperament of the AHS population. It was simply learned through observation and she was definitely good at that. “You’ve got a large group of teenagers together in one place. If they -didn’t- act out I’d be more worried.”

By this point she had joined Darrel and was fully intent on dancing and talking a little more. Even if she couldn’t give him exactly the info he wanted she could try to be entertaining for a little while. When one ate, breathed and slept dance it sort of became second nature so Darrel was lucky enough to have, at least, a good dance partner. “Maybe this is just one of the differences between St. Lily’s and AHS?
