A faint ‘whup whup whup’ noise was the first thing to actually register with Vincent as he finally came to. Music was streaming into his ears gently strolling by his ear-drums. Warmth flooded into his body as he used his arms to push himself upright in his seat. Where was he again? Ah that’s right; the mission. The teen lifted the blanket off of him and rubbed his eyes and looked out the window beside him. Snow beat across the side of the window of the helicopter he and eight others were hitching a ride in. He could see glaciers in the distant and right now he could clearly see ice-bergs bobbing around in the ocean. Vincent could almost swear he could see the outline of their full submerged figure.

“Okay so all of you know the details”, Vincent was now thinking back to the briefing held before their flight. “All of you have the equipment you need to survive in your back-packs, but you still need to work as a team to complete this mission.” What was in their back packs? Rope, Matches, Flash Lights, Com-Link Head Sets, A fresh heavy coat, and night vision. Well it was useful, but if their info on Blank’s base was correct; it really would take team work to complete it.

“Aye Comrade I see dat you are awake da?” A Russian voice called out to him, sure enough rolling on the R sound. Vincent rubbed his eyes again and turned toward the source of the Voice. One of the pilots was looking back at him. The voice seemed to identify the co-pilot as a female. “Yeah thanks, how f-far away are we from the drop off po-point?” Vince said as he failed to stifle a yawn. “A good hour or two”, she said patting the other pilot on the back. She turned to face the direction that they were headed and he turned to face the other students.

He felt like he knew some of them, but they were mostly strangers to him. Part of him felt like asking about them, but it wouldn’t accomplish anything. The teen leaned back in his seat and pulled his heavy coat back. Fixing the visor on his black beanie he yawned once more just as a new voice sounded out. “M’kay so the bases computer system should be networked completely right?” Vince searched for the source of the new voice, but to no avail… It then donned on him that the voice was within his head-set. “Names Haseo; you can call me Ghost; Hey everyone I’m the hacker on this mission”, the voice said blissfully. Apparently the boy who was stuck in the virtual world had been uploaded into all of their headsets and could communicate with everyone on the team.

Well this was going to be an interesting few days. Ghost on the other hand was busy taking in all of the data that was available to him. Blue prints, maps, pass codes, and much much more was shooting into his head like lightning spreads through-out the ocean. He wasn’t prepared for a mission of this caliber, but he would have to prepare himself in anyway possible. Of all the students they could’ve picked they had chosen him for a vital mission that could very well have a major effect on the school. Well any who what’s the worst that could happen?

~Mean While~

“They are on there way then?” A man who seemed in his middle ages asked quietly as he looked out his window. The sun was setting on the barren Ice land that was the Antarctic. The whirring of Mechas that guarded the outskirts of the base blended in perfectly with the roaring artic cold winds in perfect synch making it seem as if nothing existed out here at all. He stood up and walked toward the window and closed the curtains and turned toward the other figure in his room.

“Yes sir!” The figure said saluting the man before him. Through the details of the report an observant person would realize them to be the psychotic Blank and the ace mecha pilot Icy Hallow. The two went silent. Soon their plan would be put into action and then NO person would be able to defeat them… Not even New Eden. The time was upon them… It was only up to those students being caught. “Oh glorious blood”, Blank said with a snide cruel look on his face.

Kirova had been looking out the window the whole time,to start a conversation with any of them was pointless he joined this mission to be called a hero or at least a good citizen, when vincent awoke and had spoken to them Kirova looked at him and then nodded his head as he smiled.

"I have a suggestion."

Kriova said as he kept his eyes locked on vincent, though even as the helicopter shook from the rough air he did not take his eyes off vincent,he stood up knowing he would get knocked around as he then walked over and placed his hands on the side of the entrance to the co-pilot and the pilots seat.

"I say we coem from the air."

He said grabbing a grappleing hook and then aiming it not intending to throw it as he examined it he smirked and then nodded his head."I say we slide down these."He said as he grabbed the thick rope of the grappling hook,"Make them tight enough and we can do it."He continued as he then set down the hook and sat back in his seat waiting to arrive at the base.

Alex was going through his bag, checking everything in there again. The helicopter had left AHS a few hours ago, taking him and everyone else picked for the team with it. If only the helicopter could stay with them as it would be very useful with his power, unfortunately, it would be leaving them in the antarctic by themselves. Alex would be defenceless with his minor powers. Satisfied that everything he had been given was in the bag, he closed the top and placed it on the floor.

One of the others on the team walked over to Vincent, the guy that had spoken to them earlier. He tried to suggest coming in from above, sliding down on grappling hooks into the base from above. Once he sat down, Alex looked over at him. "You know, there are a couple of problems with that plan of yours," he said, "One, the enemy probably has some pretty advanced defences, causing it to be difficult get this helo close enough for us to even use that plan. Two, the enemy also probably has some advanced RADAR that could pick us up even if we do avoid whatever defences they have waiting for us. And three, if we do make it to the base, the engines of this helo are loud enough to alert any personel on duty, causing them to be ready for us when we slide down the ropes and shooting down helo as well, destroying our only means of escape. So, unless you want us all to commit suicide, I say we all stick with the original plan and not get anyone killed."

With his statement finished, Alex went back to trying to figure out how he was going to help these people out in this mission. His powers were useless unless he could get his hands on some form of technology, whether mechanical or electrical. He then decided to talk to the one who called himself Ghost, the only meta on the team that would actually know what he felt like. They both shared a power, the ability to travel through computers. The only difference was that Ghost was trapped inside the computer world, while Alex could easily enter or exit the computer worl at ease. "Hey Ghost," he said into his com link, "Are you there?"

Oliver shruged around under the thinsulated blanket, Ghost's voice waking him from an ever short slumber. He squirmed and stretched his arms taking in his surroundings. He sat strapped into a seat on a helicopter, and around him were the students on his team for the mission.. or so he supposed. It was sort of odd the situation he was thrown in, but he was a bit grateful. He hadn't exactly trained as much in japan. And it was true, this would probably turn out to be a rather good excercise, though he had known the risks involved. With him though, it was rather hard to die, as he well..already was.

Oliver hears the discussion and tilts his head a bit. His moss green eyes shift back and forth between the two other teens discussing how they should enter. His initial thought was why they wouldn't agree when everyone wakes up. Some were still obviously asleep, and it would have only made sense, since they were after all here on a rescure mission to work as a team. And this mission would be hard for two main reasons. The first being the rest of them were still human, meta-humans at that, though they might not suseptible to surviving as easily as he was. And the second being that they most likely didn't know each other, so this posed a great problem. There would be a barrier, and trust might be hard to maintain with almost complete strangers. it wasn't the best situation, but he had to make the better of it. For one thing, in order to trust and work well with each other, they would have to know their names..right?

Oliver reaches for his thick white camoflauge coat. Something very suitable for the terrain. And examined its durability. It sort of remined him or his many trips to Siberia, where he had to "cleanse" the area of filthy vampire gouls. Though he was a hunter, he too was a vampire, though this remained a secret amongst his peers and anyone else around him. He had apair of goggles resembling ski ones on his mousy, tousled dark brown hair. He scratched his freckle lined nose and reached for his pack. The first thing he took out were his night vision goggles and he reveled in its technicallities. "Awesome...haha" He chuckles softly. And sets them down toys around his headset, looking at the teen next to him (Alex). "Hey, and good...evening..? I suppose. I'm Oliver, and I guess I'm the combat specialist for tonight, though I could probably fall into many catagories." He reveals a witty fangish smile as he crains his neck a bit, looking at the darkening Artic skies through the small window.

"I don't know about you guys, but I'm kind of stoked for tonight.."His brit accent spills out a bit, something he tried to tone down, since it was quite heavy.

There were very good points the boy nect to him had made. Suppose they had defences on the outerperimeter? Something highly likely. And their detection had to remain invisible, though..what if they were being expected. Wasn't some sort of Admiral killed earlier? He had heard something along those lines in the briefing. Regardless this was definately going to take some thought.

(ooc-i'm not sure if everyone was supposed to be aware of the death of the admiral, but I included it anyways. hope ya don't mind.. >_>)

Just remember...if the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off.

Nose buried in one of the books she'd brought along to pass the time, listened with a half ear to the conversations going on around her. She knew enough Russian to figure out what the two pilots were saying when they spoke in their native language, though she didn't mention it. If there was something they didn't want the teenagers sitting behind them to know, she wanted to hear it rather than have them not say anything.

Turning a page, she paused in her reading to glance up. The team seemed like a rather mottly crew. She was sure each of her teammates had something useful to bring to the team. They wouldn't have been chosen, otherwise. She knew that was why she'd been chosen, even though she was nearly seven months pregnant. After all, animals empaths were fairly rare as far she'd seen, and who else could ensure that the team wasn't attacked by one of the dangerous animals which called Antartica home. And then there were the sled dog teams that they'd be using. Snow mobiles were great, but they could only go so far before needing fuel, which was nigh on impossible to come by away from established bases.

Marking her page, she dropped her book into her bag and got up out of her seat. Moving to the back of the helicopter, she checked on the non human passangers. The dogs all greated her happily from their travelling crates. The people who had organised this mission had taken her advise on giving her as much time with the dogs that would lead the sled teams seriously. This meant they would get over their enthusiasim and huge joy at meeting her before they had to get to work and would be easier for her to work with.

Smiling, she crouched down to say hello to each of them. Then, because she couldn't help herself, she opened one of the crates. The dog in it wasn't a husky like the others. This one looked more like a wolf than a dog. Even though Raiya know this mission could be dangerous, there had been no way she was leaving her own dog Taipar, her constant companion, behind. Besides, if worse came to worse, Taipar would probably be more useful in a fight than half of Raiya's teammates.

Walking back up to the seats with Taipar at her side, she sat back down. Taipar jumped up onto the free seat beside her, and then turned her head to stare at Oliver. Because they'd both encountered vampires before, Raiya recognised the signals her friend was giving out. Frowning, she considered the young man. "I don't mean to be rude, but are you a vampire? Taipar says you have the smell of one."

(OOC: Added the dog sled element cause that actually is what they use in the Antartic from long trips, and to explain Raiya's presence. Also, dog sleds are quieter the snow mobiles, and safer when it comes to icescapes like the Antartic. Anyone who doubts that should watch Eight Below.)

~We were actually going to be hiking on foot >.> You'll find out later. But I will let you use a couple of dogs, but only you!~

"Da the little boy thinks he can teach us how to land this thing", the female said laughing slightly. Indeed it was humorous that the student thought they could derive from the original plan. One that involved a mile hike through the Antarctic. Sure it was going to be tough, but it was better than alternatives. The two pilots began to speak fluent in russian though the male pilot seemed to be native Irish.

((In Russian))
"I heard that the whole team isn't using dogs... Why is that?"
"The security system friend."
"Their security system has something against dogs?"
"No but there was rumors on a sonic weapon that can confuse animals and make them attack out of fear."
"Ha ha... That's something right out of a sci-fi book eh?"
"Yeah, but the sci-fi is really happening... Anyway I hope their okay."
"Oy just wait till they come across those Mechas."
((Russian speech ends))

The helicopter shook some-what violently as the winds started to pick up. The male pilot gave an uneasy look. A light came on indicating that no one should stand up... A third soldier walked up from behind them. ((The helicopter is a chinook transporter A.K.A the helicopter that has two upper propellers.)) He opened the door which sent in an icy cold blast of air. Toted behind him was a gun that would put the terminator down in a heart beat. A few seconds later and he had strapped the gun in place... The students would find out a few seconds later.

~FWUP FWUP FWUP BOOM! CA-CA BOOM!!!~

Flak littered the sky shaking the helicopter around as if it were a mere toy. The explosions in the sky littered the chopper with shrapnel, but the thick metal plating kept them safe. The illumination caused by the explosions revealed a group of what seemed to be snowmotanks or something like that. A faint whirring noise sounded out... The gunner had opened fire on the flak below them. Several minutes later and the gun-fight had ended.

The female pilot looked back "Everyone okay?" The familar roll of the R once more gave away her accent. Vincent gave an uneasy look as he shuffled around in his seat. "E.T.A One and a half hours", The male said leaning in. They hadn't expected resistance so quick, but hopefully they destroyed them quick enough before their postion had been given away.

Ghost and Raiya were the only ones who would've heard their eariler conversation. In an instant Ghost had opened up a private connection to the pregant one and said in a hushed tone. "Your report says you know russian... Keep the Convo to yourself." the next second he had closed the private channel to her and proceeded to devulge into the info on this base.

He just didn't want anyone to be uneasy. He had already accessed several security files and what awaited him wasn't pretty. The files weren't even protected... It was if Blank wanted them to be found. As if he knew or something. He heard Hatori's voice call out into cyber-space and he groaned. He wasn't going to finish the download was he?

"Hmm?"

When the Helicopter shook Kirova could not help but look at what was going on,he stood up and looked out the doorway his red and black air blue he made sure he kept his hand secure so he would not fall and when he saw the snowmotanks he smiled and then looked back at Vincent and then walked over to him.

"Is there going to be anymore attacks before we reach the rondevous point?"

He asked leaning against the helicopter wall next to the door as he stood in his place only shakeing a little by the rough air points,it was cold but thanks to Kirovas jacket he was able to keep himself warm,he then went over to his bag and grabbed it as he opened it up he looked inside and when he saw the supplies Kirova stuck his own com link in his ear one more smaller and better almost like those military ones and he then grabbed the night vision goggles examined them for a second then placed them back.

He did not like the supplies much he wished they would get a pistol with a silencer it would be more significant a ranged weapon would be better in combat if the enemy had ranged weapons as well a sword can not block every bullet that came flying their way and useing their powers is just a waste, but he was more concerned about his teammates condition if they were shot or if he was shot how would they get out alive one shot teammate would only be useless.

"And in this mission do we have a doctor or healer,we need to keep everyone safe."

He told VIncent pulling out the jacket and removeing his sword from his back so he could slip the jacket on as he then placed his sword on his back once more and watched Vincent,Kirova did not know if he could trust Vincent but for now it would be the best thing he could do and the only thing,he then started to re-wire the com link Vincent had given them and he then re-wired his to make his com link go straight to ghost and just to test it he would have to try and talk to ghost.

"Ghost you there?"

It came out as only static but it was not enough to block ghost from talking he started to mess with it until he got perfect communication and he then put it back on and spoke.

"Ghost can you here me?"

While Alex was waiting for Ghost to answer him, he saw the vampire looking kid next to him go through the equipment in his bag. Once he had finished looking at the contents, he introduced himself to Alex, saying his name was Oliver. "Nice to meet you, Oliver, I'm Alex," he replied to Oliver, "I guess you could say I'm the tech genius on this mission. Can't wait to see what sorts of stuff they have inside for me to have fun with."

Suddenly, the helicopter shook from the explosion caused by some tanks firing flak at them. One of the soldiers on the helo quickly fired a huge gun at the tanks, destroying them in the process. "I hope that didn't alert the base that we were here," he said to himself after the helicopter had steadied itself. He saw one of the other guys on the team head toward the window to watch as the demolished tanks faded away in the distance.

Alex heard the pilot and co-pilot talk to each other in Russian. While he didn't speak Russian, Alex had picked up a few words while on the internet and caught the word 'mecha' mentioned. Great, he thought to himself, they could have mentioned mechas in the briefing. Oh well, at least they mean I can get some sort of defense if I can get my hands on one of them.

He heard Ghost try answer him a few minutes later, but they were suddenly cut off. Weird, he thought, I guess he had to do something or someone else needed him to do something for them that couldn't wait. With that, Alex pulled out his blanket, put it on himself, and tried to rest during the remainder of the flight.

Kaneda sat silently, even after the flak cannon threw them for a loop. He checked his weapons that he had brought along, his powers mostly limited to the close range. An M-4 carbine with a 4th generation ACOG. A Mosburg 12guage shotgun. And of course his glock. he had about 12 mags for the carbine, 15 shells for the shotgun, and three mags for the pistol. It was a bit overkill, he knew, but during the brief, he figured better safe then sorry. he preferred if he could keep his distance in this kind of fight anyway.

Remember son, rarely does a gunfight get to hand to hand, his father had told him once. Staff Sergeant Ramos, Kaneda mused. He had always regretted not taking his last name. he had taught his only son everything he knew about soldiering; Clearing rooms, marksmanship, the myriad of nasty things someone can do to another person up close, and survival for almost every terrain the planet has.

he pulled the jacket closer around himself, the heaters int he chopper barely compensating for the extreme cold. he then looked around at his teammates. they were all young, like he was. it made him wonder if his dad would be proud or ashamed of him right now. He guessed it didn't matter. He needed to get his head in the game. 90 minutes was alot of time for something bad to happen...

"I hope that didn't alert the base that we were here," one of the others, a boy, said as fire was returned to the flak cannon. kaneda smiled.
"They would have had to let them know, to get permission to fire." he leaned forward (As far as his safety harness would allow). and held out his hand to shake. "We haven't been introduced. Kaneda Mitsurugi."

He called over to Vincent. "hey man, we gonna go in guns blazing or we sneakin' in?"

OOC: The Wild Card Awakens

In:

One would expect that the talking, the shaking of the helicopter, and all the ruckus in general would have woken Ken up , but no he was sleeping like a baby, well not literally and his powers where on check turning into a seven year old right now was not the best impression he could give in such a serious mission.

Slowly he started to wake up, his vision blurry he started to look around aimlessly and yawning loudly, another shake by the helicopter and he hit his head against the choppers wall “Ouch!!!, I’m awake I’m awake” whit one hand he started to rub where he hit his head.

Ken eyes widen as he completely once he remembered where he was, why didn’t Alan come instead I’m only good a piloting and I’m good whit planes the rest is a hit or miss thing. It was a bad moment to have doubt of his skills, but Ken couldn’t help it. Me emo Yuck “Yuck, yuck I’m not a freaking emo!!!!!, oh snap I said that out loud did I”

He didn’t wait more than a couple of seconds before he tried to fix his bad impression “Sorry, sorry bad dream” he flash a sly smile “The name is Ken and No I’m not Barbie divorce husband” he laugh at his own stupid joke whit out taking account what other think at the moment. One could say that they pick up a wild card on the way, but he was just doing what he did best trying to brighten up the mood or get everyone to team up and hate him.

Yes, that's 18 with a Vizard mask.

Shiro had the appearance of being asleep, but quite frankly, she was doing her best to remain relaxed. Quite frankly, she was far too anxious to get to the action. Having taken a back seat, Gemini had allowed Shiro full control of their body, something that the more psychotic personality was quite pleased with. With a soft and non-violent personality as Gemini to share a body with, she was completely shocked to find the woman had signed them up for the mission. She supposed she could understand; Gemini was quite compassionate, and in hearing the sudden abductions of the school, it was only natural for the woman to fear that Kira's name may come up on the list of abductions. In order to fulfill that dept to her best friend, she had agreed to protect his daughter, even at the cost of her life. Hell, if she got to beat the ever living crap out of a few meta-humans while she was at it, then all the more bonus points for Shiro.

>>“M’kay so the bases computer system should be networked completely right?”<<

The sapphire-crimson streaked woman was awakened by her thoughts when a voice came over the headset she currently wore. Her eyes blinked open slightly, though her position leaned against one of the back walls of the craft they were traveling in didn't seem to falter in the least.

>>“Names Haseo; you can call me Ghost; Hey everyone I’m the hacker on this mission.”<<

Though she minded greatly that the voice would more likely than not become annoying to her, it would do the team well to have such an asset for the mission. Chalk it up to the advancement of technology that would allow them more valuable information for their infiltration. The ride, for the most part, had been quite silent, and Shiro was certainly happy for that. Though Gemini was rather talkative, she herself, was not. Anything that didn't relate to the mission wasn't reliant, and quite frankly, unwelcome to her. Code names, and useful abilities of those around her, that was all she needed to know. She knew everyone's names by the files she had looked over, and had an assumption on their powers from what was written down; of course, most of what was written down was only a small, brief explanation, and of course, Shiro only over looked the important aspects. If someone didn't know her, or didn't know her abilities, well, they were stupid for not paying closer attention during the initial briefing.

>>"I have a suggestion."<<

That was, of course, until someone started suggesting additions to their plan. Her left brow twitched.

>>"I say we come from the air. I say we slide down these. Make them tight enough and we can do it."<<

A scowl expressed as she turned to the man she assumed was a virgin when it came to situations like this. First off, taking the helicopter out further than they planned wouldn't leave them much room for sneaking in; the helicopter would be noticed if they flew passed the drop off point, which any normal soldier would know, thus the reasoning for dropping them off at their current point. Secondly, the plan he suggested sounded like it came from some sort of action movie. Luckily, someone else spoke up for her.

>>"You know, there are a couple of problems with that plan of yours. One, the enemy probably has some pretty advanced defenses, causing it to be difficult get this helo close enough for us to even use that plan. Two, the enemy also probably has some advanced RADAR that could pick us up even if we do avoid whatever defenses they have waiting for us. And three, if we do make it to the base, the engines of this helo are loud enough to alert any personnel on duty, causing them to be ready for us when we slide down the ropes and shooting down helo as well, destroying our only means of escape. So, unless you want us all to commit suicide, I say we all stick with the original plan and not get anyone killed."<<

Shiro felt a migraine slowly approaching. Younglings really pissed her off. Despite herself appearing the age she currently was, she had a hell of a lot more experience than probably anyone here. Well, maybe not experience so much as viewing the world and how the threads of fate intertwined with the lives of the living.

>>"Awesome...haha"<<

Her brow twitched again, the obvious frustration easily sensed as her eyes focused upon the amusement of someone sitting across from her.

>>"Hey, and good...evening..? I suppose. I'm Oliver, and I guess I'm the combat specialist for tonight, though I could probably fall into many categories."<<

Her eye twitched again; combat specialist? He acted as though he were the only one. Arms still crossed over her chest while one leg rested on the other, the man seemed to be talking to the one next to him and Shiro bit her lip in order not to blurt out her own opinion on the man's appearance. He looked as though he had never seen the equipment he was using, which, quite frankly, pissed her off even more. Weren't they supposed to be a well organized group, who knew what they were doing? Already, they had someone attempting to act as captain and divert from their original plans, and now, they had a combat specialist who probably didn't know the difference between

>>"I don't know about you guys, but I'm kind of stoked for tonight.."<<

'Yea, I bet you are,' Shiro muttered inside of her head while averting eye contact with the child. Quite frankly, it also bothered her that there was nothing but children around her. Even though she appeared as eighteen, and of course, that had been forced by the military since she had no real birth certification, she had more years on this entire group combined, more likely than not. She let out an audible 'hmph,' and turned to the person who was supposedly leading this group of children into their deaths.

Vincent; he seemed rather... well, she didn't like to cross judgment on someone she couldn't get a proper read on. Instead, he was placed under her 'interest' category, which basically meant that she didn't know much of how they acted on the battlefield, and it would be in her best interest to investigate further. Of course, sudden movement toward the back, where she had been seated, having been the last human person to be placed on the craft, altered her attention to a rather pregnant looking woman moving toward the crates of mutts that she was still curious as to why they were brought along. When she returned to her seat, she turned to the 'newbie' Shiro had dubbed with a question.

>>"I don't mean to be rude, but are you a vampire? Taipar says you have the smell of one."<<

She must have been the mutt translator; like they really needed one. Though, a small part of her mind might find it to be somewhat useful, the fact that the woman was pregnant was obvious going to be a great factor in the mission. Honestly, the more she thought of her teammates, the more she thought of how many she'd be carrying out on her back one the mission was through. Then again, as the girl pointed out the bloodline of the supposed newbie, perhaps some of those around her had abilities that were at least half decent to accomplish a portion of their task. Of course, if that task involved not getting mauled by the very dogs the preggo brought with her. The former mistress of Fate rubbed her temples; a new sensation since her new life was granted. Not one of her favorites, mind you.

When the chopper shook suddenly, her expression hardened. Turbulence, it would be expected. Still, her eyes trailed to the pilots just to make certain it was just that. Of course, when the seat-belt sign flashed, Shiro mentally prepared herself for a crash. Always expect the worst case scenario, right? She braced herself some as the shaking continued, though lessened slightly. A cold blast of air breezed through that nipped at the only visible skin upon her face, forcing her cheeks to redden some. To prevent that, she forced her adrenaline to rush, which allowed her blood to flow far more easily, and at a much faster rate, which began to warm her body some.

Her ears rang when the sounds of gunfire echoed. Well, so much for hoping for a safe and stealthy trip. Chances were now, they weren't going to be strolling through that mile-long hike; they knew they were there. Soon enough, the gunfire stopped and Shiro's crimson hues shifted over toward the cockpit once more.

>>"Everyone okay?"<<

She expected no one to answer. Hell, if anyone asked you if you were alright, you either nodded, or only answered if you weren't. And of course, if you weren't, that meant you were dead. Any other response wasn't necessary. Thus, Shiro didn't respond. So it was a shaky ride, so what? When the hell were they going to land?!

>>"E.T.A One and a half hours."<<

Great; an hour and a half out, and they were already hitting resistance. She felt that migraine hastily returning, but neglected in rubbing her temples again.

>>"Is there going to be anymore attacks before we reach the rendezvous point?"<<

Again with the pointless questions; what the guy supposed to say, 'Yea?' How the hell would he know? They could waltz right up to the drop off point unharmed, or they could be ambushed at any second. Quite frankly, Shiro was wishing more and more with each passing second that old man Rounin was here with her. At least HE knew how to lead a proper group.

>>"And in this mission do we have a doctor or healer,we need to keep everyone safe."<<

Shiro felt her brow twitch once more. So, no one had really over looked the member files except for her? She shook her head as her frustration slowly began reaching the boiling point. Apparently, no one knew a damn thing of what they were going to do once they were let off the chopper. No one had any idea who they were working with, and apparently, everyone most likely had a different idea on how to infiltrate their target and acquire those held captive. Seriously, did no one have any sort of background in special operations?

"I'm a healer," Shiro finally found herself speaking, her first words... well, quite frankly, ever spoken since first accepting the mission. She was certain Gemini hadn't spoken to the group when she had first arrived, having only been handed full control after the briefing. Of course, she would have to let the idiot take control in order to heal someone. Suddenly, she wished she hadn't spoken up. Now, they'll all think she can save their life or some stupid shit like that, and try some sorta kamikaze deal.

>>"hey man, we gonna go in guns blazing or we sneakin' in?"<<

PERFECT TIMING! This time, she couldn't help but vocalize her annoyance at the collection of idiots surrounding her. Seriously; was she was going to get killed if she followed just about anyone? Was she seriously thinking of trusting her life to these supposed comrades. That vocalized annoyance was let out in an abrupt 'ugh,' followed by an annoyed sigh.

"Did you not pay attention during the briefing?" Shiro asked, those crimson eyes piercing the one in question; Kaneda, if she remembered the file correctly. "Did anyone attention? There was a small list of files on everyone here. Was it not assumed that you were supposed to read them in order to understand who you're going to be entrusting your lives to?"

Finally, Shiro unstrapped herself and began moving toward the front of the group and leaned an arm on the door frame that lead to the cockpit. Her eyes were filled with fire and landed on Vincent. Though she didn't have anything against him, she did assume that he was the leader. The fact that no one seemed to know what the hell they were doing started to show just what kind of character this man truly was.

"Do you mind explaining, in detail, how we're going to approach their base?" Shiro asked, then turned to the others. "And instead of chatting it up, since no one here knows anyone or knows anyone powers, it would be an intelligent idea to get that crap all done and over with."

With that, she placed a palm to her chest, acknowledging herself first.

"As I said, I have the ability to heal," Shiro explained. "It's not much of an ability, since I take a portion of the injury I'm healing out of my own life force, so it would be wise not to go and get your arm blown off, cause I ain't healing stupidity. Secondly, I have the ability to increase my heart rate to four-hundred beats per second, allowing my reaction time to increase drastically, and force a high dose of adrenaline to course through my body. I grew up on a military base, have experience working with the military, and have a basic understanding of Special Ops. Aside from that, I'm referred to as Shiro. It's best we get this taken care of now so we're not taken by surprise on the field. Name, power, specialty; that's all that really needs to be said."

kaneda glared over at the girl as she went off on her little herrang, basically insulting her entire team without knowing about the circumstances. He looked back down at his pack, with which he was busy attaching the shotgun to. 'Okay, first off, I wasnt at the main brief: This mission fell into my lap about an hour before we dusted off. I got a general layout and basic mission requirements. And even if I was, what bsiness is is of yours what I ask or not? keep your mouth shut. 'Special Ops' my ass. If you were an operator, or had ANY training, you'd be helping us, not complaining about everything. Half of these kids are probably scared, and you're not helping, so why dont you sit in your little corner and keep pretending to be a badass, and leave the team alone? You're not impressing anyone.'

Kaneda stood up and looked around, putting on a black knit beanie and a pair of clear lensed goggles. 'Well, I suppose we better get this out of the way. Name's Kaneda Mitsurugi, but I go by Sangre. I'm Hemokenetic, which means I can control my blood and make weapons. I have a short range, a little under two meters, so I brought the guns. My specialty is combat assualt tactics. I guess you can call me the storm troop of the group. Anyone needs anything, either here on when we get on the ground, let me know, we're here to help eachother and our friends, right?'

He glared over at Shiro. 'And as for you, I know all about you, GEMINI. I know about every person on this Chinook, but it's POLITE to make accuaintences. That way way we become friends. THAT way, there's trust. So do me a favor and keep away from me. Im not a healer, but I can take care of myself, and I really would rather die that accept your help. but people like you, who have to act 'billy badass'? well you get people killed, so stay away. Read me?' He sat back down, and, deciding to change the subject, (and show Shiro that he now considered her a liability and not part of the group), he turned to the dog woman, Raiya. 'So, I got a look at your dogs.' he said with a smile. 'Beautiful animals. I'm thinking of getting one for my mom. You don't happen to breed them, do you?'

((Sorry! didn't mean to be so rude...))

While Raiya waited for an answer from Oliver, not that she really needed one, she heard the two pilots make comment about the dogs. She shifted to look at them, but when Ghost told her to keep what she'd heard to herself. Letting out a soft hum of agreement, she frowned to herself. It explained why she'd been given strict intructions about the dogs, and told that there might be some troubles. Considering what the two pilots had just said, it was a little surprising that the commanders had agreed when she'd made the request. Their file on her must have included the fact that she could take complete control of an animal with her power if the need arose.

Moving her hand, she burried her fingers in Taipar's thick fur. She'd requested the dog team because the situation they were going in was likely to turn dangerus Without a way to get injured people out, or to pull anyone unlucky enough to fall down the hidden cravasses that dotted the Antartic landscape, going in would have been foolish.

As she turned the new information over in her mind, the helicopter suddenly shuddered. Using her power, she kept a firm grip on Taipar and the huskies, to make sure they didn't accidently hurt themselves.

When the question about a doctor or healer came up, she opened her mouth to speak, but another girl got in before her. Hearing that the other girl was a healer made her feel a bit better. With everything she'd learned from her mother and other medical professionals, she had training about the same as a medic, but having an actual healer was a lot better.

Then, just when things seemed fine, the same girl who had said she was a healer went on a small triad when the question about how the team would be going in was brought up. Raiya frowned deeply, but once again someone else got in before her. In the end, though, he said things better than she could have, so she let it go.

After he'd had his say, he sat down and turnd to her. 'So, I got a look at your dogs. Beautiful animals. I'm thinking of getting one for my mom. You don't happen to breed them, do you?'

Scratching Taipar's ear, she shook her head. "No. I asked the people who organised this whole thing for a team of good dogs, and they delivered. I do have the name of the couple who bred those guys, if you want it. Though, I have to admit that you should only get a husky for your mum if she has a lot of space, time and energy. They're demanding dogs." She glanced around at the others. "Well, if we're doing introductions, I guess I'll go next. My name's Raiya. I'm an animal empath and I can manipulate energy. I'm here to make sure nobody gets attacked by any animals. I also have medical training and I'm a martial artist. And for anyone wondering why there's a team of dogs along, I requested them. They'll be able to help me find any fissures and crevasses in the way and will be able to pull up anyone out of said fissures or thin ice. They'll also be able to transport people out quickly. They'll also act as an early warning system. And if worse comes to worse, they'll be able to help us in a fight."

Vincent gave a quiet sigh. This was one uneasy alliance, and that wasn't a good thing. Teamwork was the main thing that was going to get them through this mission, but he wasn't willing to give his life if these people were just gonna argue. Besides; why was everyone acting like he was the leader? Eventually he stood up. For once he was actually getting pushed toward the edge, but he calmed himself down... He wasn't going to let his emotions get the best of him.

"hey man, we gonna go in guns blazing or we sneakin' in?"
"Did you not pay attention during the briefing?"
“Yuck, yuck I’m not a freaking emo!!!!!, oh snap I said that out loud did I?”

"If you insist on reading the report; the first thing you would realized is that there is no leader or captain. Stop acting like I'm in charge of all of you. Now you want information? You got it" He looked around the group and shook his head. Even the pilots were quiet and the male one mentioned something about never telling them it's okay to stand up.

Kirova first. "Kirova Kovu; He's usually quiet and somewhat cocky. A loner if you will, however and this is somewhat disturbing: He's a pervert... Ladies watch your Ahem... Assets. Weapons: Kovu here carries himself a black bladed Katana and for his power he can shoot some sort of black lightning from his blade." Surpising; they called someone like him out? Oh well... "He'll be a scout for us. Kirova seems like he can be quiet when he wants to be as long as it's not a girl guard."

Who was going under the magnifying glass next? After his eyes had scanned around the place they laid rest upon Alex. "Alex Crichton, he has the same ability as this one called Ghost. He can go in and out of the internet for minimal amount of times and can meld with electronics. He is one of the technical genious's on his mission", Vincent said as his eyes drifted toward the rest.

"Oliver Sykes: Veryyyy secretive guy we have here. I hate to devulge this info on account that it took several weeks to find out through military info. Yes he's a vampire and a self pro-claimed hunter. He can form some thorns around his arm, carries a blade, and can shrug off most hits. He is the teams Assassin in essence." A vampire was most definatly interesting. That wasn't even in the report he had to find out about it through other means.

"Ah Raiya Finlay; she's one the few here who HAVE seen my power though she doesn't seem to remember me from the roof tops. Though I'm surprised they gave her access here cuz she's pregnant she come in use. Penguins and Polar Bears reside here. Lets not forget the guard dogs that reside as well." Another sigh. He was getting tired having to explain these people to the others.

Ken and Kaneda were new, but he would let them explain theirselves. Both could be useful in the up-coming mission. His own power was somewhat harder to explain. Vincent wouldn't be dieing on this mission. He owned to much power. True he was unstable when he turned into one of his forms, but as long as he didn't kill his team he'd be good.

"5000 strong. 1000 of which being stationed at the base. 50 base located Mecha.
400 base located personel.
50 unknown defences.
200 Meta-Human guards.
100 stationed security defences.
99 special force body guards.
1 Very bad Mr. Blank... We sneak in free the prisoners and gain some info. And get out okay? Now lets just calm down and get some rest. There's gonna be a blizzard tonight",
Vincent said calmly as he sat down. That was most likely the most they'd here from him tonight.

As Kaneda stepped forward to defend his fellow comrades, Shiro glared toward him, with an expression of instigation. When he mentioned that he knew all about her, the crimson eyed girl nearly lost it.

"Know me?" Shiro started to mutter before her vision started to go black. Instantly, she let out a snarl, though it wouldn't be heard by anyone but herself. 'You bitch...'

'Obviously, you are doing nothing to aid in our mission,' the voice of her other half stated firmly as she assumed control of the body. 'All it is that you are doing is simply instilling fear upon those around you.'

'They should be fearful,' Shiro barked out as their body's eyes closed during this internal debate. 'They're sending kids against a freak'n army!'

'It may be all that they have,' Gemini countered rather hastily. 'Be that as it may, I will only surrender control now on the battlefield. Remember, we are only here to ensure Her safety. How would you feel if it was She who was taken hostage?'

There was mild cursing, but no real attempt at retaking control. From there, Gemini's eyes opened, revealing a pair of sapphire hues and a far more calm complexion. Her back straightened and she listened quietly as Vincent explained the situation, and waited for the group to silence once more before paying her respects.

"I apologize for my outburst," she said simply with a respective bow of her head, her voice no longer holding the malice it once held prior. With that, she headed back to her previous seat, strapped herself in, and simply waited for their trip to the drop off point to commence.

'He's a liar,' she heard the voice once again speak up, this time, a bit more quiet, but still full of aggression. Those sapphire hues opened upon Kaneda, who was speaking with their animal translator. 'He knows nothing of us.'

'And we know nothing of him,' Gemini commented as she closed her eyes once again. 'What it says on paper, and what a person has sincerely lived through are two completely separate things. We are living proof of that.'

There was silence on the other side, to which Gemini breathed a sigh of relief.

'I do not wish to upset our comrades any further with your attitude,' Gemini stated firmly. 'With what we are up against, it will take teamwork in order to fulfill success. These younglings are all that we have, and you know we alone cannot produce the skills necessary to acquire victory. Let us continue this quest in a manner of silence.'

"Hey I am not a loner and I am only a pervert when I want, and I am no scout if I may say so myself my personality and what I do stays hidden in me!"

He shouted as he glared at Vincent some of the things Vincent said had just ticked him off,how dare he give out personal information like that and how dare he call Kirova a loner which he may be at times but he spends his time makeing money just like a lot of people.

"My Black lightning wave is something I use on emergencies only but I am still a good fighter not a damn scout it would be more wise to send someone whos specializes in scouting like Kaneda."

He protested not really careing that he was a scout but this mission was also a test of his strength or thats what he made it his power could be usefull and his katana was also usefull,he was holding the middle of his katanas case in his hand with katana sheathed of course.

"And never judge people,"

He said as he turned away from everyone around him his eyes closed his whole body was just calm and loose,he opened his eyes and looked at Vincent and then gripped his case tightly as he walked over to him.

"I can be more help if you give me a better position than scout and I can change my ways just as fast as I can kill a man."

Alex watched as Vincent nearly lost his temper at everyone on the helo. Suddenly, Kirova stormed over to Vincent, yelling at him for yelling at them. Just when it seemed that Kirova was going to do something everyone would regret, Alex walked up and got between the two of them. "You guys," he said in as controlled a voice as he could, "We need to stop arguing and start getting along, otherwise this mission is pretty much scrubbed. And, just as a side note, while I haven't seen it myself, I've heard what happens when Vincent gets mad, so if I were you, and yes I know I'm not, I wouldn't try to get on his bad side before the mission starts. Now, why don't you sit down and prepare yourself for the mission before I get mad. And believe me, your lightning is nothing against what I can do with this helicopter." With that, Alex went back to his seat and prepared himself for what he would face when they reached the drop off point.

All throughout the quarreling Oliver remained silent. There was a rambiling girl who was almost attempting to scare the fear into her team mates. And to make matters worse, she was settling a stressful and very negative feeling in the helicopter. Once it starts, it usually doesn't end, and he was beginning to think this mission was doomed for the beginning. Had it not been for Vincent who had countered her verbal attack.

Olver's eyes had fluttered before, looking at the very pregnant Rayia, who had accused him of being a vampire. He was shocked for only a fragment of a second, but resettled after remembering. He hesitantly opened his mouth for a response when a sudden lash from Kaneda was unleashed on the atangonishing bitch; whom got very well served. He knew that his race wasn't nessesary for explanations, as they would in the end, later have no recolation of there ever having being an Oliver Sykes on this trip. With the help of the Senate, of course.

Vincent had gone on to explain each of each other's specialties, sort like an intro to those who like himself, hadn't spoken up. The bit about Kirova's perversion was a bit amusing. And he kept his chuckle to a very minimal silence. It wasn't like he was going to be doing anything to any of these ladies, one of them being the bi-polar psycho bitch who sat across from him and the other being obviously pregnant. After Alex had stepped in between Kivora and Vincent's little bit he took the aleviated time to reasses everyone's implied opinion of him.

He recoiled a bit as he unstraps himself from the seat, and uncovers his jacket, revealing a thin light gray thermal. Not being cold exactly, he sits up preping himself. Internally struggling brings up his brief pofile, as he never exactly does this sort of thing.

"Okay, so..where do I start?" He asks rhetoriclly and pauses to continue. "I think that although these brief explanations of us can be helpful, It also might be just as useful if we add any other information, that they may have missed out on. That being said, I think I would like to say a few personally important things." He yanks his goggles of his head and throws them on his seat. "Basiclly, yes I am in fact a vampire, I was born about over half a thousand years ago.. so I am quite experienced in combating methods old and new. I would also like to say that I don't drink from humans so you don't have to worry about that. And if it helps, I'm also pretty experienced in close combating, and also martial arts."

He looks at Rayia's wolf like dog and runs his fingers frustratingly through his deep brown hair, thinking, "Um..I also don't exactly drink domesticated animals blood either..my diet's actually quite a bit complicated..." He trails off not being so used to saying so much to humans, Meta-Humans, sort of like you. and sits back down retriving a blood transusion package from his backpack. He tears off the tip and sucks on the pouch looking like he was drinking out of a capri sun. He stares at Kanedas weapons and wishes he had brought his arsenal to school, regretting the damned rules. "Hey Kaneda, nice toys." He smiles at him showing some pearly whites. Honestly, It could be hard to get anyone to trust that he wasn't going to eat them, Although it could have been because he looked a bit meacing (and handsomly ^.^) intimadating in a secretive, young boyish kind of way..

"I think I might walk to the base" he says humoursly, as Rayia's pooch growled at him, from across. He smiles softly, finishing off his first serving. It was a type O positive, something a bit brassishly, delicious tasting. Oli hadn't had much interaction with humans or animals in ages, and so, "Oh, yeah..and you can call me.. Oli, if any of you'd like."

There was a pathetic smack of skin against the exterior of the chopper as a shaking figure crawled uneasily into the helicopter from outside. He was clad in a warm enough coat and a fully concealing ski-mask complete with goggles but his frozen movements belied borderline hypothermia as he collapsed amongst the other passengers. It was a pretty bizarre sight since everyone else had started inside the chopper, the only part which was heavily disconcerting about this sudden appearance was that the figure was, while clad in his thick clothes, covered in duct-tape. With fumbling fingers, he prised his mask down and panted a few times in the relatively warm air, as he swiped the goggles off his eyes. The spiky brown hair and glowing blue eyes were relatively well known around AHS so some of them would probably recognise Carniku Inuzuki of the 11th Grade. They would have a slightly harder time working out how and why he ended up on the helicopter, and an even harder time working out how he ended up OUTSIDE it.

With an unceremonious nod, he hobbled over to the nearest seat and collapsed, trying to regain air in his lungs. They might have been fighting but that was not the kind of area he wanted to be talking in right now. He looked up with bleary eyes as he tried to remember how he ended up like that...

"Boy!" Ryden had shouted "They're doing a special mission to the arctic!"
"Yeah, but it's for the real power-houses, Dad. I've not really got a good enough grasp of my powers"
"But the arctic! You could get me a Polar Bear!"
"Dad, I'm not getting inside that..." hasty check of the information "helicopter! I'm not even invited I think"
"I see... you won't get INSIDE"...

"I h-h-hate m-my dad, I hat-t-te him-m-m" Carniku mumbled as he hesitantly palmed through exactly why they were here. He glanced up at everyone in the chopper and stated, quite honestly "I don't know what's going on"

With Vincent's outburst, Kaneda chcukled at him. 'Look boss,' (in the southern dialect meaning 'friend' lol) 'I'm guessin' that the power you have in one pinky could annihilate this bird and everyone in it. I also got my brief from you, so I consider you in charge. You want this mission to go smooth? it needs a leader. Especially where we're going, which sounds like the final layer of hell to me. That leader HAS to be you, especially considering you don't want the job.'

He then stood up. 'Well, once again, name is Kaneda. I guess ill tell you a little bit more about me. I'm from Ft Polk, Louisiana. My dad was with 75th Rangers, and the 509th Airborne, plus a few others when I was younger. He was one of those 'The-End-Is-Nigh' type of cats, so he taught everything he'd learned about combat, which was alot. Anyway, he died in iraq a few years ago, so my mother and I moved to Japan. My dad was a flatscan, but my mom is an energy manipulator, I think. she's never shown me her powers, but im guessing she has some, based on stuff ive seen while she didn't know I was around. And thats the dime tour of my head.'

He sat back down and continued adjusting the black bag, making sure it will fit properly, then took a couple of water bottles frpom a case next to him, and filled his camel back, and stuffed two more bottles into his bag. Then the girl, Shiro, the one he yelled at, spoke, although he wasn't sue if it was directed to him or the entire team.

"I apologize for my outburst."

Kaneda looked at her and smiled. 'Aw, what the hell. Don't worry about it, huh? We're all a little finnicky right now. Just take it easy, huh? We all need eachother over the next few days. That reminds me...'

He got back up and walked over to Vincent. 'Check it: If the other guy doesn't want to do the scouting, I'll do it. We're gonna need someone up front, and I'm pretty sure I'm the one best suited for the task.'

Then came Carniku. He heard the thump, which startled him, thinking it was more incoming. But then he saw the boy from the bank fiasco, and rsaised an eyebrow. 'Talk about your dramatic entrances...'

"Eh... I have to be a leader because I don't want to be a leader? Sounds like something you would read from a fortune cookie." He said sitting back down himself. It seemed everyone else was calming down finally. To this day it still amazed him how quickly students feelings could change about something. At least they were getting along now. Everyone had given some sort of an intro up to this point...

Was he too give his history as well? Vincent didn't really open up too much these days, but if he wanted them to trust him as a 'leader' he'd probably have to give up some information on his past. Just as he was about to speak a kid from the outside clunked in which lead to some very odd questions in Vincent's head... Why hadn't he just yelled to let him in? "Welcome Carniku Inuzuki... Surprised you could hold on during our previous bout with the flak." Okay anyway back to the group.

"ETA an Hour to landing!" The pilots voice resonated to the students.

"My name is Vincent Metilles. I have a much darker side to me... A split personality if you will", there was a glance at Shiro/Gemini. "I have only basic knowledge in close combat quarter, but if you all think back to the Onyx Incident in Domino Town; I was one of the first to inflict massive damage on Onyx", he said in a hushed tone as the wind outside died down.

This crew may have seemed like they weren't compatable, but right now things looked good. Their team consisted of a Healer/Beserker, Himself, Two technical genious's, A Nature-path, A soldier in training, a Swordsman, a Vampire, and heck even a kid who had hung on to a helicopter for over six hours. Things were actually starting to look up to Vincent.

He drained out the package rather quickly but was still feeling imensly hungry. Perhaps they'd run into a polar bear or something of the like. But more over, he was concerned where they would end up landing. And he was dying to see some blue print layouts of the base. That way he could study it and possibly notice somethings later on others might not. He wanted to be helpful as possible on this trip because in all honesty, he had alot of compassion for every one here on board. Even if he didn't know them personally and somethings about them irked him a little. It was just the way he felt about the human (meta) race. Something he'd picked up from his father, William. And though he normaly wouldn't say much he knew communication would also be a key concept in this mission.

He touched his ears, the headset still residing on them. Speaking quietly and almost inaudible to the others, he whispers a question to hacker on the other line. "Hey..Ghost, how far along do you think we're landing from, the base?" After he waits for a bit, he turns to the boy who had entered from the outside, seeing he was cold, he grabs a few heat pads and hands them to him. "Here mate, braving the cold like that? Figure'd you'd like some warmth, take some of these." Upon learning his name is Carniku He realizes he's heard his name around school. "Carniku, well..its a pleasure, I'm Oliver Sykes, but you can call me Oli."

"So Vincent, are we going to improvise this rescue mission, or are we planning it out?" He asks now turning to their newly dubbed leader. He figured if anyone, he was the person to ask.

(Er, I'm confused. Is the team in the Antartic or the Artic? Because polar bears live in the Artic. The Antartic has no native land based preditors. If it did, they'd most likely be marsupials, considering that Australia's the closest land mass to it. There are penguins, but down there they're afraid of leopard seals. I guess getting the two mixed up isn't that hard to do. The Artic melts away each summer, the Antartic doesn't because it has land under the ice. The Antartic is also much colder, meaning a mile walk wouldn't be the best idea in the world, even now in February, which is near the end of summer down here in the southern hemisphere.)

Raiya's brow quirked at Vincent's discription of her. She did in fact remember his powers, the part she had seen anyway. She hadn't mentioned anything because she didn't usually talk about other people's powers. It was for them to decide who know what they could do. She wouldn't like it if someone went around spouting off about what she could do, so she kept what she knew about others to herself. But if Vincent wanted to think she'd forgotten his powers, she wasn't going to rush in to let him know otherwise.

Picking up her book, she settled down to wait. They'd get to the drop off point when they got there, and worrying about it wouldn't bring it one bit closer. She did listen to the conversations going on around her with one ear, to make sure she didn't miss anything.

Her full attention was taken from the book when someone suddenly dragged themselves into the helicopter. Dropping her book, she grabbed all the blankets within reach and the medic kit she'd been given and hurried over. When she was closer she recognised Carniku and shook her head. "What the heck were you doing out there? Never mind. Let's get you warmed up." Grabbing hold of his coat, she unceremoniously yanked it off. This might have seemed strange, considering he needed to get warm, but the coat would have made it harder to warm him up quickly.

Wrapping the blankets around him, she began checking him over. She glanced over her shoulder. "Could someone find a hot drink. He's dehydrated and it'll help him warm up." She then turned back to Carniku. "Well, you've been lucky. You got inside before hyperthermia really set in. Are your feet or hands numb, or feel like they have pins and needles?"

((OOC: The polar bear thing is because Carniku's dad is reeeeeaaaally dumb. Odds are he's going to duct tape his son to ANOTHER plan when he finds out his mistake))

Carniku was aware he was being talked at and tried with all his might to understand what the heck people were saying to him. He blinked a couple of times as his coat was taken and vaguely associated a face in his field of vision with the name of Oli and recognised another as being someone he thought was called Raiya. Vincent was talking and he sort of knew the face from the whole Onyx debacle but right now he was rubbing the heat pads from Oli all over his severely frozen limbs and wondering if he should be feeling his toes right now. Miraculously, he didn't have frostbite, duct tape was apparently a better insulator than he thought, he shook his head at Raiya's question, he could feel fingers and toes just fine for some reason.

Apparently, what had woken him up was a bout with a flak, which made sense, that wasn't exactly a small occurance. That must of knocked some of the duct-tape loose so he could wriggle free and crawl to the door with his frozen fingers complaining the entire way. While everyone was assuming he'd just been clinging on, he didn't see any reason to point out he'd just been duct-taped and unconscious most of the way.

Especially since now he WAS taking part in the mission, and he should probably introduce himself and his powers. Which he WOULD do as soon as his teeth stopped chattering. He ripped off the rest of the duct-tape and flicked it under the seats as he tried to get his brain in gear and remember what the poster had said while his dad had been bashing it in his face.

They were going to one of the poles, he was pretty sure of that, and so he'd been given a nice warm coat by his father before being taped to the site of the helicopter. He had an hour to get himself sorted before they landed, now would be a good time to start.
"Th-th-thanks everyone, I j-j-ust w-w-wanna g-get warm..." He stated as he rubbed his chest with his slightly warmed hands. He didn't know anything about the mission or the people in it, but he was probably going to end up helping them out, he just hoped whoever they were dealing with didn't have anything stronger than normal bullets, he hated getting shot at...

Kirova sighed and then sat down and examined his teammates and he then closed his eyes,he stayed focused on only himself it was true his lightning wasn't much but it was all he could do considering he does not want to use his attack anymore concerning the death of his father.

"If you understood why I keep my lightning attack at such a low level then you would know why I am who I am."

He said as he looked at alex and then closed his eyes and looked forward as he stood there for as few minutes with his eyes kept closed and body loose he showed no emotion on his face but calmness though on the inside he was crying and wished he had not taken out his anger in that final blow on his father, what was he thinking useing a move like that on family.

"But you do not understand what happened and that is why you should not judge me or my attack."

He stated setting his sword on his lap and stareing down at it his fists were clentched tightly onto the sword case and the hilt of his blade he looked back out the window and remained silent listening to the other talk and what not and then not to long after he saw Carniku and then shook his head ignoreing him as he kept his eyes outside his ears on the others and his hand holding his sword.

Kaneda reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a small flask of vodka. He took a long drink, then handed it to Niku; To be more accurate, he walked up to him and placed it in his still shaking hand. 'Here, pal, this will warm you. It's Stoli, so it's a little rough, but how can a hundred million russians be wrong?' He smiled, the patted him on the shoulder. 'You'll be ok bro. You just sit there and get warm. You're gonna be getting cold again soon...'

He went and sat back down and pulled out his iPod, and put it on Dave Matthews' 'Dont drink the Water.' Then he started singing to himself slightly, and bobbing his head to the beat of the song.

Call me cute again...

Ken was doing his best to avoid being part of the entire ruckus, normally he was the one to cause ruckus but that’s another story. He was paying attention to what the team said, but decided that he didn’t have the experience to give some input. He just wanted to arrive and get this over whit since he knew that things where not going to get pretty. Well the best I can do is get familiar whit my equipment , he started to rummage around his backpack taking time to look at everything carefully, he know how it fells the sting of a bullet and it was something he planed to avoid.

What the… where the words that crawled in to his mind, when another boy entered the helicopter. He seem familiar, well whoever he is he’s stuck whit us There wasn’t mush he could do to help Carniku.

It took him a minute to organize his ideas “I know that where going is dangerous and all, but …” his face turn grave, hiding his signature smilesuckers this is going to win me an Oscar “Sorry, but my question is and please don’t lie” he force some tears into his face.

After a cuple of seconds “how big is our chance of survival?” Time to give them a reason to work together “ I’m not one to look at the glass half empty, but unless we leave our difference aside I don’t see more than one percent of survival rate and if we do survive is because there going to capture us like the one where here to look for. We may be powerful but men like the one where going to met up don’t capture little children they capture Meta’s like us, whit powers like us and most likely there powers can destroy towns alone if not it would have no value for men like them” he started to sob and let the waterworks do there job.

Really one needs to be heartless, not to fall into that trap he may just be the son of a stuntdouble but he has the passion of an actor or at less that’s what he tells himself in the mirror everyday.

“Your chances of survival are at sixty eight percent granted we act professionally.”

Cold emotionless words, but where did they come from? Surprisingly enough, the voice came from a figure sitting at least a few inches to the side of Ken. Jarreth leant forwards slightly to reveal his presence to the crowd within the helicopter however he still remained hidden by the shadow of the seating area in which he sat. Now was a good enough time to announce his attendance, he didn’t really enjoy talking to others however he had heard a role call a few moments ago and his name had been omitted, so he supposed he’d have to come out of hiding just so at least others could understand he was actually in the helicopter and not absent. If others had known he was attending this little trip he knew they’d scan the walls and clichéd hiding locations for him, so hiding right in the place where everyone expected someone to be was the obvious choice. People would see an empty seat, and think nothing else, he had however been concealed in the shadows through his invisibly ability, activating and deactivating when people were and were not looking to save on his internal charge.

“I am Jarreth DeRothate, I was chosen for this task because of my talents in the field of Stealth and tacticians. If you want a reassurance, I am the best in these fields. You are not required to follow my advice but if you do so your ability to hide yourself will be greatly improved, likewise I‘ll expect those who are proficient in combat to aid in my defence.” He went on to explain, his voice sounding each word clearly with little emotion behind each and every one, “I have ability to alter molecular structure, therefore rendering myself invisible, and increasing magnetism between myself and any given object.”

At that Jarreth leant backwards and sat comfortably back into his seat. He had lied twice during his words however his voice sounded the same no matter if he was telling the truth or not, so it would have been impossible to tell otherwise. For one while he was very good at his chosen fields he was not the best, however the false knowledge that he was would give others confidence and reassurance. The second lie, their chances of survival were certainly not calculated in his head as being sixty eight percent. Yet he knew he had to do this, it would be the perfect chance for him to getting one step closer to surpassing his brothers abilities. What was more he may learn more about his condition within the encampment they were to enter, however he dared not tell the others about his secret agenda, that was his secret.

Jarreth reached into his warm black Alaskan temperature proof coat pocket and pulled out a yellow lollypop, which he placed into his mouth and began sucking on. He had nothing more to say to those around him, and he’d at least like to sample a few more sweets in case he inevitably died. Further more, this flavour was absolutely fascinating.

((ooc: Somehow missed out this thread and I wanted to join, so I’ll join now seeing as you’re all still in the helicopter. By the way, I’m supposed to be role-playing Jarreth as someone who specialises in stealth, so don’t be lame by claiming you knew he was there the entire time or something along those lines. That wouldn’t be cool.))

Laughter broke the uneasy silence. “SIXTY EIGHT PERCENT?!? Ha! you’d be lucky if you broke the double digits!” Ghost’s voice resonated from the headphones. “Okay so that’s not true, BUT we only have a survival rate of 36 % If things turn out good… If they don’t then you don’t wanna hear the odds.” Vincent raised a brow at that news. Apparently Ghost didn’t know how to rally the morale much, but it did mean he was finally done downloading info. “Do tell there you little glitch”, Silence followed by “Shut up” Vincent smirked and replied Shut Down to the internet meta.

A red light shined from above and pixels shined down in front of the group. The pixilated image began to take shape of a white male with blue hair and stunningly eerie eyes. Ghost’s true form. He paced around the helicopter and looked out the window. “Raiya is it? The ‘Polar Bears’ Vincent is talking about aren’t the bears of which you think.” Yes he knew she was somewhat confused about their current where-abouts. “Barrier Electronically Assault Recon; More commonly referred to by the Soldiers under Blank’s command as Polar Bears… This is the outlying defense of the base. At most; thirty Artic Mecha’s patrol the area at day time. During Night time, however only twelve are due to the extreme temperature drop. The Polar Bears all sport a snow camouflage design and each are equipped with a flame thrower and an automatic gun; each about five feet long and three feet tall. The Mecha’s in stature stand at about seventeen feet and about ten feet thick and are made of solid top grade steel. The bullets they are equipped with are surprisingly made out of diamonds. The diamonds have a scatter effect and will litter their targets with shrapnel. Needless to say these Mecha’s are extremely resilient to cold temperatures. They’re main weakness is their joints. The joints are not completely water proof or sealed off so most damage should be aimed toward these areas. Every Bear has a thermal unit on the back that if destroyed; the person inside would freeze to death in minutes do to the thin clothing they must wear when operating a Bear.” The Hologram seemed as if it didn’t even need to stop to take breath, mainly because it didn’t have lungs.

Vincent let out a low whistle… Okay the people back at the HQ hadn’t informed him of that. Ghost continued still, “The sad thing is that’s the lowest form of protection. I don’t have data on the others, but each one is much more powerful then the B.E.A.R. This is in essence what you refer to as a suicide mission if I’m correct.” Vincent walked over to the pilots. “Thanks for letting us in on this earlier”, he said sarcastically. Ghost looked down to the bottle of whiskey. "That is a rumor… It actually causes the blood to run thicker at the top to make them ‘feel’ warm, but it lowers their core temperature there-fore increasing chances of winter based ailments.” Hey when you were stuck on the internet your whole life, you tend to get street-smart.

Back to Vincent. He looked toward the group. “Kaneda if you don’t mind it seems you have some military expertise, therefore you will be our Recon member from here on out”, Yes he was changing the plan, but only to a degree that the results would hopefully help. “Alex?” He looked to the Tech Whiz; “You stay in the back flank, your powers don’t help us any until we get to the base. So stay with Raiya… She probably doesn’t need protection, but she’ll want some company on the dog sled.” One of the dogs in the seats nearest them barked happily. “Raiya, I don’t want anything to happen to your child, so I’ll ask you to take it easy… There are some guard dogs there; do as you will with them.” On to the plan yet again.

“Okay Kirova… You don’t want Recon? Then guess what? I’m sticking you in the back flank as well. You’ll guard Raiya AND Alex; they are quite valuable to this mission. No complaining!” Okay that was most of the team covered so only a few more left. “Oliver your gonna be in front rank with me… It seems you have so pretty decent combat skills; so therefore your going to help me keep the enemy from causing too much trouble.” Onwards to the next person. “Gemini or Shiro whichever one you are. Your post is in the middle of both flanks. Your healer can help both sides, and your adrenaline can help you front”, “Jarreth. Your stealth skills are impressive… Your recon as well. You and Kaneda try to keep distant from each other though… We need all the info we can get in every direction.”

“The rest of you are in middle rank as well… No objections?” He didn’t even wait before saying “Good!” A Bright flash illuminated the pit suddenly knocking him to the floor. The next second fire was above all of them… Apparently they had been hit! “PREPARE FOR CRASH LANDING!” The two pilots were kicking into high gear as they quickly pressed random buttons. One of them grabbed the controls as it felt the helicopter had turned upside down. “PULL UP PULL UP!” “I’m TRYING!” The ground was coming up faster. Everything went hazy as the smell of Gas started to fill the front. An explosion sounded out followed by one of the pilots screaming in agony as something pushed through their chest killing them soon after.

Everything went black.

Vincent struggled to open his eyes as the voice of Ghost reached his ears. He stretched himself out and finally realized… His eyes weren’t closed; He was shrouded in darkness… A voice emitted from his head “Your hopeless without me”, The angel king. He felt of twinge of pain and groaned. Vincent looked to see if any others were injured. A rather annoying beep sounded out from the cockpit. At least one of the pilots were alive. The other… Not so much. Snow filled the left side of the chopper putting out the fire that had come close to causing the bird to explode. A dog from behind whined as it started to lick Raiya. “Gah..” Vincent grunted… Nothing was broken at least… The shadows had helped him… Instinctively they had wrapped around all, but the one pilot in the front… Some of them would be in pain, but at least they wouldn’t be dead. “Anyone dead?” He said pushing himself up.

Hearing about the BEARs, Kaneda laughed. Quoting Anchorman, Kaneda looked at vincent and said 'You hear that? BEARs. now youve put the whole station in jeopardy!'

Kaneda then reached into the 'goodie bag' as he called it and pulled out his radio. He checked it to make sure it worked correctly, then strapped the throat mike around his neck. The mike was his fathers, and it made him feel cool wearing it.

“Kaneda if you don’t mind it seems you have some military expertise, therefore you will be our Recon member from here on out," Vincent asked him, to which he nodded and smiled. He listened on as Vincent gave the others their places in the formation. He didn't even get to finish before Kaneda saw a bright light, then was thrown from his seat and slammed his head on the deck of the bird. Then all was black.

"Anyone dead?' he heard like he was underwater. Kaneda's eyes fluttered open, then closed again for about 30 seconds, then fluttered open and stayed open. He was staring at his hand which was laying in a pool of blood. His head hurt like hell, so he assumed it was his blood. How long had they been down? couldn't have been long, he figured, because none of the enemy were there trying to kil them. He pushed himself to his knees, his every muscle screaming in protest. he felt like he'd gone toe-to toe with Cloverfield.

'Aw MAN, that sucked,' he groaned, wiping blood off his face. He Looked around, saw other moving, but couldn't really tell who they were. Luckily, his weapons and kit made it intact, so he took the time to load and charge the M4 and his pistol, but just put shells into the pipe of the shotgun. he then crawled to the nearest person, which was Vincent. 'Wellnow, you sure know how to throw a party, he said with a little laugh. ' Tend to the wounded,' he said to Vincent, putting the earbud in his ear, then taking a strip of cloth and tying it around his head to thop the bleeding. 'I need to go scout around make sure noone's coming. I got my comms up so holler if you need me.'

He crawled out through a massive hole in the body of the bird an jogged to a snow drift about 200 meters to the south and kneeled on the side closest to the helo, waiting for any sign of movement.

Jarreth sighed a little under his breath, he had just put effort into lying about their survival rate only for someone to clarify on the true survival rate soon afterwards. This was going to be a difficult task, especially as the people inside this copter were acting like children, despite the obvious fact that they were basically children anyway. Luckily however he had his supplies in order to complete the task at hand, stored safely in a well protected bag on his lap. Around his head he wore a headset that was strapped securely to a set of goggles with glass visors made to his glasses prescription. These were ideal for the situation at hand, as the snow would clog up his glasses normally, and the goggles would keep his eyes protected. Jarreth wondered if he had made the right choice to go on this mission. His parents did not even know he had accepted, he didn’t want to risk the chance of them not letting him. His brother had done such things in the past without telling him or his parents and so niether should he.

The train of thought that caught Jarreth’s attention was broken abruptly by the mention of his name, he had been paying attention out of the corner of his mind and so had taken into account the positions in which those involved would take however his name was enough to make him pay full attention.

“Jarreth. Your stealth skills are impressive… Your recon as well. You and Kaneda try to keep distant from each other though… We need all the info we can get in every direction.”

Recon? Easily enough done. With his guidance this mission was going to be a breeze. He didn’t even know why he had made his prediction as to their survival so low in the first place, perhaps he should raise the percentage by a few numbers or so. His lollypop had dissolved completely, unfortunate. Jarreth took the stick out of his mouth and placed it next to him before reaching into his jacket pocket and pulling out a second lollypop, a red and white one this time. He opened it, unfortunately using both hands to do so, one to hold the stick, the other to undo the wrapper. This was significant in that when the helicopter jolted due to the impact, Jarreth wasn’t in a position to hold onto anything.

The explosion sent Jarreth flying out of his seat and onto the floor, his head smashed with some force onto the metal grating beneath him knocking the sense out of him. It wasn’t enough to render him unconscious however it was enough to confuse him enough to remove his ability to think clearly on his next course of action. Thinking instinctively Jarreth slammed his hand onto the floor and shifted the molecular structure of his hand to become the opposite magnetism of the metal floor. This however proved to not be enough and when the helicopter flipped Jarreth merely flipped with it, his wrist twisting painfully and forcing him to release his grip on the floor.

With tremendous force Jarreth slammed into the metal wall, plunging him into darkness.

Words were being said however Jarreth couldn’t understand any of them, they were too muffled by the sharp ringing that sounded amongst his ears. He was also cold, very cold. Had there been a crash? What happened? Jarreth blinked, trying to force the images in front of him into clarity however they did not seem to want to form into anything he could recognise. This was not good, definitely not good at all. He forced himself to sit upright, a covering of snow falling off of his body in the process as he had been laying down and slowly covered with snow while unconscious. Everything was slowly coming into view, however that wasn’t the only problem on his mind.

“I think I should.. Let you all know.. My name is Jarreth DeRothate.. I’m not a stowaway I’m part of the.. Team..” He explained groggily, “I was hiding until this point.. Rather I’d listen to you talk than talk myself.. I specialise.. In.. stealth..”

Immediately Jarreth fell forwards on his face, blood trickling down from a large cut across his head. A sensation of déjà vu washed over him however he couldn’t put together what from this situation he had been through before. The last thing he remembered before he blacked out was hiding in the copter, listening to the mission objectives while waiting for a good opportunity to announce himself to everyone. Now however he felt terrible, a throbbing headache seemed to almost blind his senses, making him feel as if he were suffering from sever symptoms of drunkenness. Suddenly Jarreth began to worry about if he had actually spoken a few moments ago or not, maybe he had imagined it, he tried to speak again however the words he wanted to use evaded his lips.

“I specialise.. In stealth.. I was always here.” He groaned once more, “Jarreth Derothate.. My name..”

(OOC: Well, now I know why bears were mentioned in the Antarctic.)

Once Raiya was satisfied that Carniku didn't have frostbite, she made a few more obs. In the end, she concluded that he was half frozen, but would be okay. She smile to him. "You're going to be fine. You've escaped frostbite and hypothermia, so you must be lucky." Settling the blanket a bit better, she checked to make sure he was warming up.

When Jarreth showed himself, she was a bit surprised. Taipar wasn't surprised, but then she could smell everyone in the chopper, even those who hid themselves. Raiya listened while Jarreth introduced himself with a half ear while giving Niku one last check over. Satisfied, she went back to her seat as Ghost gave his estimation of the team's chance of survival. Great. Just what they needed to hear. The mention of the BEARs took her mind away from that for a while, though.

As Vincent explained each person's positions, she nodded when he told her she would be staying at the back. She knew that in her condition that she would most likely hamper the others, and she didn't need to be close for her animal empathy to work.

As she was settling back down, all the dogs came alert a few seconds before the chopper was hit. Animals often sense danger before it happens, and their warning gave her just enough time to grab onto something. Even so, her grip wasn't strong enough to stop her from being flung forward when the chopper hit the ground. She was saved from slamming into anything bysolid shadows that suddenly swamped the cabin. When the shadows cleared, she pushed hersef up and took a good look around. One of the sled dogs had somehow gotten free of its travel cage and was licking her face. Pushing it aside, she climbed to her feet and used a thought to check on the dogs. They were shook up and a few had bumps and bruises but nothing serious. She then reached fo her bag and pulled out her medic kit. As she started moving about, checking each person, the hip and shoulder she'd fallen on complained a bit. Shrugging the pain off, she continued.

When she heard Jarreth's voice, she went looking for him imediately. His voice didn't sound good, and the fact he was repeating himself wasn't good either. Finding him by the rip in the cabin's side, she dropped down beside him. "Jarreth, it's Raiya. I'm just gonna check you over." Carefully, she rolled him onto his back. The head wound she spotted imediately and she could see that he was beginning to go into shock. Opening her kit, she took out some gauze and pressed it to the wound to staunch it. Wrapping a bandage around his head to keep it in place, she looked him in the eye. "Jarreth, I need you to tell me if anything hurts. Can you do that for me?"

((ooc: This is where I suck at posting order, I might not be here to reply to this question after everyone has posted, which would delay everyone. So I'll reply to it now so I know this is something I've got done.))

Jarreth felt himself being rolled over, blurred images moved above him however try as he might he couldn’t focus upon what it was that was above him. A sudden wave of panic washed over his senses, had he damaged his eyes in the crash? He didn’t even remember a crash at all so how could he even be sure what had happened to what parts of his body? No. Jarreth knew he had to calm down, but it was so difficult with the throbbing headache that pulsated in intensity with the beating of his heart he felt in the veins on the side of his head. He couldn’t remember the crash, that would not have made sense, he had to remember a crash because obviously a crash took place here. Suddenly the realisation of what had happened came to him, his memory of the events must be missing, that could only mean he had damaged his head enough to loose these memories.

Had the girl just spoken? Jarreth suddenly realised he had something tied around his head, had his head been bleeding? Jarreth blinked a few times trying to force the image of the girl into light, no she was still blurred no matter how much he tried to focus on her. What the hell was going on? It would make sense that she was trying to treat him, she had tied the bandage around his head after all. What would someone trained in healing ask someone who was hurt? Suddenly this logical thought caused Jarreth to be able to place together the almost random sounding sounds into words, she’d asked him what hurt. Because Jarreth needed to think about what she had said before replying it took a good few seconds for him to come up with a reply.

“I can’t see clearly.” He replied as clearly as he could, although his words were somewhat slurred, “Everything is, blurred.. My head hurts so much, a headache, no, more like a migraine.. I can barely hear anything around me, there’s a.. ringing in my ears.. When I sat upright I couldn’t keep balanced.. And I don’t remember the crash at all...”

What Jarreth didn’t know was that these symptoms were all pointing towards post traumatic amnesia due to concussion, maybe with a clearer state of thought he could piece together the clues and come up with a proper diagnosis however he was hardly in the position to in his current state. This was going to a bad start, Jarreth knew he needed to be able to use his mind to it’s utmost fullest in order to perform his stealth techniques and tactical decisions. Under his current state however he wouldn’t be any use at all, he didn’t even know how to fight.

It took Carniku about two minutes to realise the middle rank was basically JUST him. Still, Raiya had given him a fairly clean bill of help and wrapped him up properly, maybe he should just drink the ominous flask he'd been given and wait until they landed. No sooner had he thought this then his second thought was, oh great I've jinxed it now. Followed swiftly by, oh for the love of crap, something impaled the pilot...

Unlike the general consensus of a reaction, he didn't manage to knock himself out as he instead bounced around stray surfaces during the fall and he got a reasonably good look at what remained of the dead pilot before finally rolling backwards and smacking back first into the ceiling before the inevitable collision and landing again on his front and elbows with enough force to provide mild dents. He wondered what to say in a situation like this... first of all was, why the hell had he gotten blasted around like a rag-doll while everyone else was basically just falling over and hurting themselves once or twice? The laws of physics alone said he was the heaviest, why did he bounce!? It was probably his coil acting up and he accidentally made himself lighter but still, mother-lovin' OW. Least he felt warmer from the small fire that had started in the cock-pit and after a small ritual of blowing on his hands and doing some stretches, he successfully traded in extreme freezing to a couple of bruises. A couple of very purple and very colourful bruises that covered a good chunk of his back... still, he healed fairly quickly. At least he could move now.

He finally noticed what was happening around him, Kaneda had gone out on his own... that couldn't be good. Vincent asked if they were alive and he waved casually
"I'm feeling better, despite being frozen and bruised, apparently smashing around a helicopter made me warmer." Raiya was caring for the other Recon guy and Carniku felt a small surge of worry, would Kaneda be fine on his own? He wondered... there was only really one option in this situation, much as he would hate to admit it...
"Hey, since I'm bizarrely in the best condition, should I go and make sure Kaneda's alright? Even the biggest optimist would have a hard time imagining what just happened was an accident" He kind of hoped someone like Oliver woke up and could do it instead, he didn't really like the idea of fighting a bunch of soldiers if he had no weapons.

Alex was listening to all the conversations going on around the helicopter. When Jarreth mentioned their survival rate, Alex knew he was lying before Ghost even mentioned their true survival rate. Watching Ghost appear in a hologram inside the helicopter made Alex want to transfer himself into the computer just so he could be in the hologram as well, but opted not to do that as this was a serious mission. He listened as Ghost explained about the Polar B.E.A.R.s and then paid full attention when Vincent gave him his assignment. He didn't like having to stick to the back, but understood where Vincent was coming from and agreed to the position. Shortly after Vincent had stopped talking, all hell broke lose.

The helicopter rocked violently as it was hit by enemy fire. One of the pilots was killed by shrapnel, and Vincent's powers kicked in, covering everyone in protective shadows, though they only worked for a short time. Everyone was being thrown around the helicopter as it was hurtling towards the frozen continent below. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the helicopter stopped moving and everything went silent.

Alex heard Vincent call out to see if anyone was dead and told him that he was alright. Though, much to everyone's surprise, Alex answered over the headset rather than just saying it in the open. Alex had barely managed, much to his surprise as well, to upload himself into the headset he was wearing. He was safe from all the chaos that had enveloped the helicopter while inside the headset, so long as all the headsets were not destroyed, and from the look of the headsets, that didn't look like it would be easy. The only problem now was that Alex needed a safe place to pull himself out of the headset so that he could help everyone get out of the wrecked helicopter. Hearing that Kaneda had gone outside, he opened a channel to him. "Hey, Kaneda, could you do me a favor and put your headset on the ground for me?

Yes, that's 18 with a Vizard mask.

From then on, Gemini had remained silent. She forced Shiro's words to the back of her mind, where her subconscious remained, and simply listened as the others continued to speak. True; their chances were very slim, at best. Still, she could not afford to allow such actions to remain ongoing, thus the reasoning for joining this crazy mission. Both she and her other half had a promise to fulfill and that was one of guardianship and protection. Though there was no guarantee that Kira would be next on the list of those abducted, there was also no guarantee that she was safe. When the tech support man spoke once more into her earpiece, she listened intently on the information he gave. Vincent then followed up by giving orders to those in attendance, and when she was announced, she turned to the man.

>>“Gemini or Shiro whichever one you are. Your post is in the middle of both flanks. Your healer can help both sides, and your adrenaline can help you front."<<

"Right," she replied with a nod of understanding. The man then went on to explain the jobs of the others. It seemed not seconds after the man had finished, there was a violent shake and heat exploded within.

>>“PREPARE FOR CRASH LANDING!”<<

It was the only warning Gemini received before Shiro hastily took over. Her adrenaline rushed, her heart pounded beyond normal standards, with enough speed to force her blood to flow rapidly throughout her body. Ever thing from then on seemed like a slow-motion action movie. The force of the initial blast had knocked the seat she was strapped to nearly loose, and the strap itself broke. Even with her reaction time dramatically increased, there wasn't much she could do aside from preventing her body from being thrown around too roughly. The sudden fumes filling the pit was enough to give her a euphoric high before she realized the exact smell of the gas. As soon as they impacted the ground, Shiro was thrown forward. Instantly, she braced for the impact. Luckily, or unluckily, her body was thrown through one of the windows, preventing her from smashing against metal or electrical wires, or even the fire itself. She was thankful then for the thick outer wear; pulling the glass shards from her forearm would have been a pain in the ass.

Her lungs quickly coughed up the foreign substance, and groggily, she began to push herself up to an unsteady stand. A quick shake of her head sent her a bit off balance, mostly due to the fumes from earlier. When she finally regained her composure, she heard the first of the crew to speak up.

>>“Anyone dead?”<<

"Not yet..." Shiro grumbled as she started to brush the snow from her jacket and walked through the... damn; she was shot pretty far through that window, a good fifteen meters or so. There was that itch in the back of her mind as she approached the very vehicle she had been hurled from, which initiated Gemini's awakening. She had hoped she wouldn't have to start healing so early in the mission, but such events could not be helped. Luckily, it seemed the doors had already been opened, so she began to peer inside to tend to the injured.

>>“I can’t see clearly. Everything is, blurred.. My head hurts so much, a headache, no, more like a migraine.. I can barely hear anything around me, there’s a.. ringing in my ears.. When I sat upright I couldn’t keep balanced.. And I don’t remember the crash at all...”<<

She had caught the conversation between Raiya and Jarreth, the latter the one who seemed to be injured. Those flickering crimson hues shifted back to sapphire as Gemini stepped forward, removing her thick padded gloves. She knelt beside Raiya as the woman attempted to evaluate the man's injuries. From what he said, it would appear that the man held a head injury; to what extent would be for her to find out. The fact that he was conscious was very good, though the dulling or near loss of his senses was not.

"Jarreth," Gemini's voice was soft and calm as she began to control the spiritual energy within her body. "I need you to relax."

With a deep breath, a faint light blue aura surrounded her body. Slowly, the energy moved to her hands as her palms moved over his chest. The spiritual energy that visibly surrounded her flowed through her arms, to her palms, and into the man's chest. She would do her best to attempt to heal the injuries he sustained, and hopefully, it would allow the man's senses to sharpen once more. She was able to relieve the pain, for the most part, in his head. Slowly, the wound hidden by the hood of his jacket was sealed. From there, she went to the more difficult, unseen injuries. Unlike most healers, Gemini could not completely heal injuries through magic or anything of the like. Instead, it was simply her using her own spiritual energy to restore life into the person she chose. In a way, it was in fact a form of healing. However, the more energy she spent, the more she herself would be in danger.

Slowly, a cut appeared upon Gemini's own forehead when the cut on Jarreth's had fully healed, mirroring the location. In comparison, it was merely a small scratch; a quarter of the size, really, but enough to allow a small trickle of blood to part down the bridge of her nose. Still, she was too focused to really consider it a distraction. After some time, the faint aura surrounding the spiritual healer faded and her hands lifted. She brought the back of her hand to wipe the insignificant trail of blood, the small cut only a faction of the size upon Jarreth, which now seemed nicely healed well over a month's time.

"How do you feel now?" Gemini asked cautiously, uncertain if she was able to restore any brain damage that may have occurred. Not only that, but there were also more likely others to attend to. She would await his response before checking on the others next. Since Raiya was to her right, she figured she'd ask her since she was there. "Do you hold any injuries?"

"The time of darkness is now."

Laying on the ground Kirova groaned his body ached and his arm was cut up from crashing he had black marks on his face and his body was cold,he had his eyes closed until he opened them and placed his hands flat on the ground before pushing himself onto his hands and knees he shook his head as blood dripped from his forehead and mouth, glass surrounded him and his cuts probably came from the shards he got to his feet and looked around while blood ran down his face from the cut on his forehead and lower lip on the left side, blood also dripped to the ground from his right hand his bag was next to him and his sword laid a few feet away.

"Aww man worst landing ever."

He said as he held his left arm and then walked over to his sword picking it up slowly he felt a little dizzy, his vision was a little blurry due to the wound on his forehead he looked around as everyone was just a blur then his vision came back he looked at all his comrades and then he walked back over to his bag and picked it up walking over to Gemini and Jarreth.

"You guys ok?"

He asked as he looked at the others, they all got a beating from the crash and his arm was really sore but he tryed to keep his pain to himself they could get fixed up later, while looking at everyone he walked over to Vincent and then looked at him, poor them right...nah they could take care of themselves they are all meta's after all Kirova felt a chilled breeze blow by as he shivered a bit and then sat on the ground in front of Vincent.

"Hey you ok?"

Call me cute again...

“Your chances of survival are at sixty eight percent granted we act professionally.”

oh great some one had to give numbers well the idea was for the group to start thinking like a team not for some one to make the situation worse, thought he did pick a very hot topic.

“I am Jarreth DeRothate, I was chosen for this task because of my talents in the field of Stealth and tacticians. If you want a reassurance, I am the best in these fields. You are not required to follow my advice but if you do so your ability to hide yourself will be greatly improved, likewise I‘ll expect those who are proficient in combat to aid in my defense, I have ability to alter molecular structure, therefore rendering myself invisible, and increasing magnetism between myself and any given object.”

Even thought Ken just wanted to strangle him, he stayed still and heard him talk away at less nothing can make this worse

Then some one started to laugh “SIXTY EIGHT PERCENT?!? Ha! you’d be lucky if you broke the double digits!, Okay so that’s not true, BUT we only have a survival rate of 36 % If things turn out good… If they don’t then you don’t wanna hear the odds.”

Ken hit his head whit the wall of the helicopter, Nice, I’m kind of liking that Jarreth kid now Ken concentrated on keeping his calm and, thinking how the hell was he going to be useful since his power is not going to be much help and they don’t need a pilot maybe he could pick up a gun along the way, but outside that there not much he can do.

Ghost took its hologram form and started explaining the situation how in hell did I get tide up to this suicide mission...

“PREPARE FOR CRASH LANDING!”

What?! Ken rapidly hold tight into his seat I don’t want to die he did all in his power to maintain himself hoisted into the seat, but his grip got lose and his belt scream trying to hold him in, snap the belts lost the struggle sending him forward at less until the shadows covered everything.

“Anyone dead?”he barely heard the voice, his ears where ring loudly and he was dizzy as hell.

” I feel like I have the hang over from hell, not like I should now I don’t drink” Ken stood up and saw than many where ok two three where missing and two where attending Jarreth and he saw the dead pilot, he walk toward the pilot and he didn’t care if everyone saw it disrespectful or not but he was going to search him anything could be helpful a knife or a gun even a simple flashlight could help and in a situation where transportation got screwed.

(ooc-sorry you guys, I've been really sick. -_- went to the doctors and I found out I have mono, mostly im just really tired, so I haven't been around lately. I hope I didn't miss too much! oh and hooray for the B.E .A.R. acronym..)

There was a slight tinge of threat Oliver had sensed, something your receive when your turned into the sort of animal he is. The only problem was his thoughts lingered to long on it and his reaction time was delayed a fraction of a second. Instantaniously, he was thrown from his seat foward, along side one of the other teamates and braced himself to hold onto the side of the cockpit entrance. Too bad the engine had to explode, or atleast it was something in the front that blewup. Oliver released the cockpit doorway and richochetted off the walls now, as he whinced in minor pain similar to being punched by a 5 year-old. Another perk to being a vampire. Tuff and sturdy ragdoll. There was a slight darkening all the while this was happening, and it was apparent that the dark source of energy came from Vincent. Even if it was for only a matter of seconds. And that was about the time time it took for the sh*t to hit the fan. Well, atleast now they had landed. Minor fragments of time for him, but as it turns out, he wasn't the most patient guy in the world and he had been dying to get out of the Helicopter.

Even now there was some light humour circulating. And when boss Vincent asks them if anybody's dead, he can't help but reply, "Always, dead chief! His voice muffled from being shoved into the bend of Shiro's seat which had been ripped off during the collision landing. He bounds up hastily and rumages around searching for his hanzo sword and backpack, while overhearing everybodies responses and conversations.

There was a sudden irony tart smell lingering in the destroyed chopper, along with reminants of billowing snow and the breeze cirulating the crimson stench. Imediately his steamlined freckled nose scrunches up and Olli can't help but let out a small discusted hiss. You can't say a vampire would hate spilling human blood, but the idea of drinking it was something that bothered him, and moreover, it was cringe worthy. There was still the small sensation in the back of his killer instinct mind and although upmostly powerful, he really didn't want to put anyone in near danger. To him, it kind of blew because he couldn't always hang around them if they were going to be like this.

"Listen Carniku, if you don't mind I'd like to join you on scouting with Kaneda, That is If you don't mind Vincent," He says looking at each of them; his chest had ceased heaving. Though he didn't need to breath it was common habit to, but right now, his nose wasn't up for it. "Besides, it stinks in here, and I'm not sure anyone would want me around while they're bleeding around like that." He says as his mossy green hues graze over Jarreth's and Shiro's cuts with an unpleasent small grimace on his beautiful face. He picks up his jacket and slips in on, and turns to Carniku and grabs him as he says " We won't be long, Yoink!" then turns bounds out the opening with the meta and his sword in tow. For such an average little guy it was a little creepy watching him zip out like that.

"Let's go find our friend Kaneda and see what these bastards have in store for us, mate." He says to Niku a little more seriously now. The stench was getting annoying and hopefully Kaneda has traveled far enough so that the smell wouldn't war him.

As he runs, barely making any noise, they circle the helicopter's perimeter carefully making sure there wasn't any sign of the enemie although he was sure Kaneda must have done this was well. Better safe than sorry, and the last thing he wanted was the have anybody else die, like the pilot had. His eyebrows creased thinking back to the position Ghost and Vincent had given him. It wasn't surprising that they threw him on the front lines, but he did worry that he didn't have many weapons. He could easily dodge anything coming his way, but disarming the mechas would be tricky if all he had was his sword and his bare hands and vines. And the rest of the defense they had was probably tougher than the B.E.A.R.S. le sigh, that arsenal I left back in Brighton would have come in handy. and to think I traded rainy Brighton for this. Oh, the things we do for meta-humanity. @_@ The blur of them slows down to a pace as he sets Carniku down, who might have been a little whizzed, but atleast the speed and friction of his arms would have given him a little more warmth. Kaneda, where's your position man? It's Oli

Just remember...if the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off.
[ * * * ]
From the confusion and unfocused look in Jarreth's eyes, she guessed that he was having trouble seeing. At the very least, that meant the concussion he must have had caused temporary distruption of part of his brain that controlled sight, but she couldn't see any injuries to his eyes. At worst, it meant he had a bad brain injury, or bleed. Unless shock was effect his sight. Of those choices, she'd rather go with shock of temporary brain disruption.

After she'd asked his where he hurt, she waited for a few minutes. The delay in his answer added to her worry, and added wait to it being his brain that was causing the unfocused look in his eyes. When he finally did answer, her worries were confirmed “I can’t see clearly. Everything is, blurred.. My head hurts so much, a headache, no, more like a migraine.. I can barely hear anything around me, there’s a.. ringing in my ears.. When I sat upright I couldn’t keep balanced.. And I don’t remember the crash at all...”

Okay, he had at least a medium, if not severe, concussion. Great. That made her job all the harder, especially with the limited supplies she had. She did have IVs and some drugs, but not what she'd need if the concussion was a result of brain injury. From what he'd said, she was worried that the part of the brain dealing with the senses was bruised. She'd have to be very careful if that was the case. His brain could swell, killing him.

Just as her mind was crambling to think what she had to do, Shiro (or was that Gemini?) knelt down on the other side of Jarreth. Raiya considered her or a quick moment. She'd forgotten about the other girl's healing ability. But wait. Hadn't she said that she took the injuries from the person she was healing onto herself, at least in part? That might mean Raiya would be trading one patient for another. She opened her mouth to speak, but before she could make a sound blue energy surrounded Gemini's hands. Raiya sighed. She'd have to wait and see.

She watched as Gemini healed Jarreth, her body tensed to pull Gemini away if it look like the other girl was risking her life or catch her if she fainted. When she saw the cut appear on Gemini's forehead, exactly where Jarreth's had been, she nearly pushed the other girl away, but she noticed that the cut was in fact a small scratch. Forcing herself to stay still, she continued to watch. Finally, after what seemed like an hour, but had only been a few minutes, Gemini lifted her hands.

After Gemini had asked Jarreth how he was, she then turned to Raiya. Hearing the question about her own injuries, Raiya shook her head. "I'm fine. Just a few bruises and maybe one or two scratches." She considered Gemini, her eyes worries. "Are you okay? I remember you saying you take the injuries you heal onto yourself. Healing Jarreth didn't cause any bruising in your brain or anything, did it? Normal vision and hearing? No headaches?"
