Maddie was full of energy and purpose as she pushed the door to her room open and looked around; a transformation had happened while she had been away. Things were put away, the bed linins were fresh and new, decorations had made the room a piece of home for her. The trunks and suitcases were gone. Of the two beds one had been transformed into a makeshift couch with piles of pillows and throw blankets. It was all very Maddie, very fashionable and very expensive.

But she didn’t pause to marvel at her new home, no - she charged in, bags in hand and positioned the desk to serve as a buffet and meticulously began laying out the small feast of finger foods for her friends. She had asked for some small help with the drinks, but other than that she had it all ready for what was in store. From a whim Maddie had suggested a movie night, and that they should invite whoever they saw and see what would come from it. Maddie loved a good party and as she positioned the last platter and appropriate coverings she smiled to herself.

There was still a little bit of time before anyone was supposed to show up, so crossing back across the room she shut the door and went to her closet. She couldn’t possibly have a party and wear what she had worn all day! Pushing through the dresses she looked for something appropriate to a small, informal party and finally selected a festive white on white embroidered and beaded dress with the tiniest of straps and billowing skirt that went down to her calves. Since it was indoors she couldn’t see the point in shoes so glancing at the clock she charged into the bathroom and because she knew how things would be arranged she quickly found the pale pink polish she was looking for. With expert hands she swiped it across all ten toes and wiggled them around while she sat on the edge of the bathtub waiting for them to dry.

So far the school wasn’t bad at all. She was enjoying her new friends and really looking forward to being here. Sitting on the side of the bath tub she was happy with her life. Glancing at the clock again she reached down and tapped a toenail and smiled; quick dry polish was the answer to her polish problems!

With her friends about to arrive Maddie burst back into energy, turning on the lamps and turning off the main light to give it a good ambiance she found the ipod and turned on something quiet. It was ready.

Grinning she opened the door to her room and leaned out, a bright smile making her look like a child on Christmas painted across her face in pure excitement. “We’re going to watch some movies if anyone wants to join us,” she yelled to no one in particular ass he couldn’t see anyone at the moment - it didn’t mean that people couldn’t hear her. Pushing herself back in the room she went over to have a small sample of the food while waiting for her friends and guests.

James had left his room for Maddies room for the movie night she had organized. He was wearing a black shirt and his best jeans, and he had combed his hair. He had never been invited to anything like this by a girl because his friend ... passed away a month before her birthday. He decided he might get into her good books if he took along something. Luckily, he had ordered some Irn-Bru from over seas when he got the invite and it had arrived earlier that morning, so he took some of it with him.

When he came around the corner to her room, Bru under arm, he saw her door open and her head pop out.

We’re going to watch some movies if anyone wants to join us

James got a slight shock and almost dropped the bottle. He shook his head, but he knew she was only being friendly. He walked up to the doorway and knocked on her door, and said, "I hope you have some spare cups for more drink."

Keely sat on her bed, wondering what she'd gotten herself into. She'd agreed to go to Maddie's movie night because it had seemed like a good idea at the time, but she was having second thoughts now. She really wasn't one for social gatherings and tended to feel awkward around her peers, especially when they were gathered together in large numbers.

Unlike Maddie, she hadn't bothered to get dressed up at all, wearing her usual odd assortment of comfortably mismatched clothes: tight long sleeved dark blue shirt and faded baggy black pants with drawstrings around the ankles that kept them in place while she was upside down for whatever reason. Her hair was pulled back loosely into a ponytail, a few strands falling into her face and tickling her nose.

With an impatient sigh, she shoved the offending locks behind her ears and stood up. She'd agreed to go, and she would. She liked Maddie, after all, though she found many of her mannerisms baffling.

“We’re going to watch some movies if anyone wants to join us!”

Keely smiled. The shout from next door made her mind up for her. She'd go, at least for a while, and do her best to enjoy herself. Besides, living next door, it wasn't exactly a long walk home if she changed her mind.

She scampered out of the room, not bothering to lock the door behind her. Flipping herself lightly onto her hands, she walked the few feet to Maddie's door upside down, reaching it a moment behind James.

"Bonjour!" she called into the room, wiggling her toes in greeting.

A call for movie watchers. That was not the worst plan ever shouted across an open hallway. It was through much consideration that the next arrival did come. It had been a long day previous, meaning that this one was going to be dull, her boyfriend, if he could be called such, was doing what he did best, with his best friend and their daughter. Not her daughter and his, the best friend and him had a kid. Made things fairly awkward all around. So thusly did Jade decide that this little movie distraction would be an improvement from sitting around and sulking with her guitar.

Jade's dark hair had been cropped short, bangs cut into sharp points that came at angles across her face, tendrils before her ears dyed a deep hue of purple. Tight jeans and a leather jacket were proper attire for her, a bootleg copy of an old english rock shirt clinging close to her skin. It was a poor bootleg, didn't even spell the band name right, the Closh? Really? Oh well. She came to the dorm room, standing outside the threshold, blatantly afraid of entering it. See, the goth rock girl was not a social creature, she did not like being around other people, but right now she wanted to be alone even less.

There was already two people gathered there. Jade choosing now to make a horrible first impression. From inside her jacket she removed a pack of cigarettes, red apples with a winking green worm on the side of the box. She slid out a bent, beaten stick of cancer, placing it between her lips and lit up. A small plume of smoke rose up from between her lips as she exhaled slowly. Sure she was trying to quit, but that was for a guy who was not here right now. Screw it, she could have a smoke or two!

Jade didn't speak, her angular face, with it's amount of piercings stared quietly at the floor, she could not communicate to these strangers. Not on her own, not anymore.

"I hope you have some spare cups for more drink."

Giggling she held out her hands to take charge of the drink, "Of course I do!"

And before she could turn into the room to take charge of the drink situation and welcome her first guest, who would come walking around the corner but Keely! The sight of the girl walking on her hands and wiggling her toes sent the strawberry blond girl into fits of giggles, "Keely!"

"Bonjour!" Still more toe wiggling.

"Bonjour, mademoiselle! Welcome!"

And with a spin on her heel and a twirl of her skirt Maddie lead the way into her comfortable little room, setting to right the drink situation and babbling on at how glad she was that Keely and James had both come. Turning, around with a dazzling smile on her face she caught sight of another girl lurking around the door. Well as friendly as can be Maddie skipped across to poke her head back outside, "Bonjour, mademoiselle!" For anyone to meet Maddie, her over abundant exuberance and genuine interest in people were two things one would find out in about five minutes with her. "Would you care to join us? We're just having some snacks and a movie in a little bit," stepping back she swept one arm out to encompass the room and those already in attendance.

"I'm Maddie," she continued without pause for breath, extending her other arm to the other girl, "Won't you please join us?"

James handed Maddie the drink and headed towards the buffet. He stroked his chin and looked at the selection of food. He decided on some cake and some crisps. He put them on to a paper plat and sat down on the sofa. He started to tuck in when he saw Keely at the door. He lifted his hand in greeting as he had his mouth full of cake. When, he swallowed the cake he said, "I hope the film isn't Mama Mia." He had seen the film in the cinema and he thought is far to over hyped. He put his plate down and went and opened the Irn bru. He poured him self a cup and went and sat down again.

A break; that was exactly what she felt she and her roommate needed. And how else to spend a break than among friends? Kira was filled with excitement when the idea of spending a movie night with fellow classmates came up. Almost instantaneously, she had agreed to it and dragged along her roommate, an unwilling Shiro, currently dragging her by one arm, with a strength the elder woman never knew had existed within the petite, crimson haired girl through the hallways of the dorms. During their walk, Shiro had reluctantly given full body control to Gemini, despising any sort of human contact other than with Kira. Of course, in doing so, the excitement between the two seemed to only mirror off one another, as they went into a speculation of what type of movie they would be enjoying for the evening.

"I don't really like romantic comedies," Kira wavered a hand as the two continued to climb the steps to the third floor. "Secretly, I'm an action junkie; I can't get enough of the fast paced action, you know?"

"But they can be quite fulfilling," Gemini attempted to defend her natural liking of the mixed genres, carrying a bag of soda she and Kira had purchased from one of the vending machines. There was quite the variety of soda; caffeine and sugar, the greatest source of energy for teenagers and their all-night movie marathons. To her right, Kira carried an identical bag, having purchased quite a lot of cans from the machine, as well as two bags of uncooked popcorn, ready to be placed in the dorm room's microwave. Two bags was all she had left, of course, she and Gemini having their own movie marathon night by themselves two nights prior.

"Eh," Kira shrugged her shoulders while her head tilted to the side. "I can withstand them, but... I don't really look for them when I'm picking out a movie. I mean, most of them are just repeats of previous ones, you know? Originality has come and gone with that genre. Sure, though, you may find some that have those small bits of comedy that are original... but romance... bleh. It's been dragged through the mud several times. Now, give me an action flick with a tiny piece of romance, and you've got me hooked."

"I always pegged you as a romance girl," Gemini chuckled to the girl who expressed a face of excitement when she spoke of her favorite genre. Kira blinked, then threw a hand behind her head and joined in the laugh.

"That's why I always say it's my secret passion," Kira chuckled and stuck out her tongue. Gemini opened the door to the hallway, and the two began their walk toward Maddie's dorm room, the girl who would be hosting tonight's festivities. Kira chuckled again as she hinted to the movies she had sneaked into the bag without Gemini seeing. Just in case, she had provided a barrage of her own favorite movies. Of course, with those she had come to meet at the school, her selection was more of a tomboy's choice; action, bloody stories, science-fiction, anything with vampires, and the occasional mystery.

Both Kira and Gemini were clad in their nightwear; t-shirts, comfortable cotton pajama pants, and bare feet that greeted the cold tile flooring of the dorm's hallway. Kira's shirt was a bit stretched, seeming a size or two too large for her small frame; a white shirt with her current favorite manga titled at the center, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. It was filled with everything she loved; blood, drama, mystery, and of course, people who went completely insane. Her pants seemed to be a walking advertisement for Coca Cola; a deep red coloring with the white English words expressed throughout. Gemini wore a plain baby blue shirt that seemed to match the sapphire tints in her crimson hair, as well as the color of her eyes. Her pants were a simple black color, cotton, with pockets that zipped.

The pair arrived at the door, Kira at the front, with a look of zealous confidence that more likely than not came to par with Maddie's own excitement. With a pumped fist, Kira nearly charged through the doorway with a quick step.

"Drinks have arrived!" Kira shouted with excitement and a bright, cheery smile. Gemini hesitantly stepped in behind her, a bit embarrassed of her friend's demeanor. "Hey Maddie-chan! I brought enough soda to keep us up for the rest of the week!"

"Greetings," Gemini bowed her head respectively behind the hyperactive redhead.

"Oh, this is my roommate, Gemini," Kira hastily introduced the older roommate. "Gemini, this is Maddie."

She didn't really know the others by name, but she had seen them around the school. As the pair of girls made their way to the makeshift station Maddie had set up and began to spread the cans out, Kira turned a bit, can of soda in hand, and opened it up.

"So," she asked before taking a sip from the can. "What kinda movie are we watching? A fast paced action flick maybe? Or perhaps a bit of mystery, or horror?"

"Okay." It was a simple enough reply. Jade taking another frightfully thick puff on her cigarette as the other girl offered for her to come inside. How could she not come in after that. Well, without being a complete rude son of a bitch. Which, normally she did not mind being. The goth girl pulled the burning stick of death out of her mouth for a moment, holding it between index and middle finger, giving it a quick tap in the hall to rid herself of the trailing ash.

"I'm Jade." A coughing, choking voice came from between her lips. The voice of a saddened chainsmoker mixed with the brutal nature of a lower British accent. She was brought inside the dorm. And began immediately taking a look around. There were other girls, all of them looking chipper, talking about what movies they would love to insert, to watch. The girl was not a big movie goer. Instead she stood awkwardly off to the side of it all, attempting to not take up much room.

"Drinks have arrived!" Kira shouted with excitement and a bright, cheery smile, another girl en-tow behind her that Maddie did not know – but immediately decided she would. "Hey Maddie-chan! I brought enough soda to keep us up for the rest of the week!"

Maddie couldn’t help but giggle at the sheer mass of liquidness they had managed to carry up with them. She was completely thrilled with how many people had deigned to come to her little get-together and she dearly hoped everyone would enjoy themselves. Cheerfully she pointed where the buffet had been set up, “Just put it in there; there is a mini fridge over there too if you’d like to use that as well!”

"Greetings," the stranger bowed. Reminded of her manners Maddie returned the bow, albeit a little more proper, and well – French – but it tickled her to put into practice what she knew of the Japanese culture. She made a small note that she really should spend some more time with Kira and her roommate at some point soon.

"Oh, this is my roommate, Gemini," Kira hastily introduced them, "Gemini, this is Maddie."

“Gemini, it’s wonderful to meet you! Please come in, come in!”
She said beaming at all three new comers.

"Okay." As the new girl was still tending to her cigarette Maddie ushered the other two in and went over to help Kira and Gemini settle the drinks into place before returning to the relative stranger in her doorway and walking with her into the room. "I'm Jade."

“Jade! Such a lovely name.” She exclaimed cheerily but was soon changed to a face full of concern as the dark-clad girl began the deep coughs, “Are you alright? Do you want something to drink by chance?” She thumbed at the table, fully ready to play the hostess to the full extent of her power, but was for a moment interrupted.

"So," Kira’s voice piped up. "What kinda movie are we watching? A fast paced action flick maybe? Or perhaps a bit of mystery, or horror?"

"I hope the film isn't Mama Mia." James intoned from the make shift couch where he was already devouring a first helping.

Laughing she slapped her thighs, “I doubt we’ll watch Mama Mia – but I hadn’t decided! I thought we could take a vote so not just one person was happy.” Glancing around the room she realized it was time to make introduction and without skipping a beat she turned first to Jade with a concerned look, “Are you sure you’re fine?” And then to the general populace of the room, “This is Jade, that young man on what I’m calling my couch,” she gestured at the pillowed and blanketed creation she was not in the least responsible for, “is James. Be careful of his drawings – they’re very life-like,” she chuckled. “This is Keely – she’s an amazing acrobat,” she said gesturing to the girl and grinning. “And these two are Kira, and Gemini, lovely girls – I can’t say enough nice things about any of you,” she exclaimed.

Turning around to meet each person’s face she was satisfied, and made the few steps over to the buffet table, “I got some snacks laid out here, and there are some frozen pizza things in the mini-fridge we can heat up. I tried to think of things everyone would like,” she turned and faced her guests, looking something like a child-like china doll; her soft features enhanced by the flowing white dress and her strawberry blond hair curling and cascading down her back. “Would anyone like something from here? Or do we want to talk movies? I have some in this chest here,” she crossed to a chest like cabinet the TV was sitting on and revealed a nice sized collection of mostly very happy movies that gave you the warm, fuzzies and made you think of fuzzy kittens and happy days.

"Hey." Came the melancholy reply from the rather out of her element girl. Raising her cigarette free hand in a hello before tucking it under her armpit, her other hand coming up to her face, to plug her mouth with the cigarette. Yes, she was addicted to those damn things. She inhaled deeply before shuffling herself off towards the kitchen. To her it seemed a better place to stand, at least, until the girl whose place this obviously was, started talking about food and snacks in there. Great. The girl found a place out of the way and it became attention.

It would have been rude to say. But what Jade really wanted was a few beers. It was normally how she became social, lord knows it's how she met her boyfriend, for better or for worse. Of course her wanting them to be social, damn sure meant that she should not get them. No one needs an angry sad drunk hanging around their party. Jade exhaled through her nostrils, two pines of smoke pluming out from them. It was a terrible, terrible thing to try, any smoker will tell you. Honestly, the girl was starting to loser her sense of smell anyways.

Her eyes scanned the crowd. A cold gaze wandering from person to person, trying to drink in their features as fast as her eyes could go. She did not want to linger with her vision, make them think she was staring. Goddamn the girl just did not get along in social situations. That is, until she saw Keely. No, she did not find an attachment to the girl, or decide that she could open up through some grand plan.

She just thought that girl was damn cute. A quick smile creased her face before she turned her head. Not wanting to get caught checking out the other guests. Jade lifted her cigarette to the side, over the counter, not wanting ash to fall all across the apartment floor.

"You wouldn't happen to have an ash tray would you?" It was a long shot, but a question that might as well be asked.

James nodded to the new girl when Maddie mentioned his name. He had finished his first helping and had taken to juggling rubber that he had found in his pocket. He went over the the two girls who had arrived before... Jade, he thoughter her name was and caught the rubber behind his back. He shoved them in his right pocket and offered his left hand to the red head. He gave his friendliest smile, which showed choclate covered teeth. "Hi, I'm James." He then put his other hand out towards the Blue haired girl.

As Kira and Gemini began to set the cans over the table, some in the fridge, the latter couldn't help but see the significant similarities between the room's resident and the crimson haired girl next to her. Already, the girl was digging through the movies in the bag after taking care of the drink, searching thoroughly for one of her favorite movies, it seemed. In a 'ta-da' type fashion, she revealed a movie showered in a scarlet hue, with various actors scattered across.

"The Shadow Assassin League 4," she exclaimed, as though everyone should have known the title, and of course, it's predecessors. "Better than the third and second, but of course, not quite as good as the first. But; just in case!"

And with that, the crimson haired girl whipped out the first movie, grin widened from ear to ear. Gemini let out a hesitant smile while a small drop of sweat appeared upon the side of her face.

"I think that's a bit too gory for me, if I remember it correctly," Gemini said with a raise of her hands. "Plus, I believe Maddie had stated that we will be voting, correct?"

"Voting? Who wouldn't vote for this!" Kira asked as a matter-of-factly. Again, the girl rummaged through the bag and pulled out the rest of the series, all on one hand with that all too familiar grin. Again, that drop of sweat appeared with several others as her head tilted to the side.

>>"You wouldn't happen to have an ash tray would you?"<<

Almost instantaneously, Gemini felt that all too familiar taste returning. Her tongue slowly stuck out as her expression seemed to almost melt. She let out a 'bleh,' as that sensational craving hit her. Damn Shiro... it was a horrible habit to have, but it seemed her crimson eyed counter part just couldn't kick the can when it came to that. Regretfully, her eyes trailed to the woman smoking, and despite herself technically never having smoked, she couldn't help but picture herself snapping the stick from the girl's lips, just for a drag.

"Gemini, you okay?" The woman blinked to find herself expressing a strange expression and quickly shook it off. Damn Shiro... damn damn that annoying girl. She shouldn't be dragging their body through the mud... but damn, did she need that flavored nicotine right now.

"Gah," she let out a pout as her head comically shifted to the side a second time, her eyes flat lined it seemed. She reached into her pocket, just out of curiosity, and found exactly what she expected to find. "Gaaaaahhhh..."

'You don't smoke, you don't smoke, you don't smoke,' she attempted to persuade herself, all the while, hearing Shiro's laughter echoing through her mind. 'This is all your fault. I shouldn't have the cravings, you should!'

Keely flipped herself quickly back onto her feet as more people began to fill the room. There were more than she'd counted on, and she began to retreat to a corner almost unconsciously. At the arrival of the exuberant Kira, she hung even farther back, finding herself a place leaning against the window sill. Maybe this hadn't been the best idea...

Off to one side she noticed someone else who looked as uncomfortable as she felt, maybe more so. Well, at least she wasn't the only one who didn't know what to do in social situations. She watched the other girl curiously as she tried to find the least-occupied part of the room.

She didn't offer her own opinion as the others began to discuss what movie to watch, though she did make a face at the mention of Mama Mia. Keely was definitely not one for chick flicks. Her ears did perk up, though, as Maddie began making introductions and her fellow non-socialite was identified as Jade.

“This is Keely – she’s an amazing acrobat.”

Keely smiled uncomfortably, not liking having everyone's attention suddenly turned on her. She waved hurriedly at the rest of the party, then stared intently at the patch of floor between her bare feet.

"The Shadow Assassin League 4," Kira exclaimed, "Better than the third and second, but of course, not quite as good as the first. But; just in case!" Scant moments later the movies emerged like hard-won trophies.

Maddie clasped her hands together, catching the girl’s excitement and smiling in return, “I’m up for anything Kira!”

"I think that's a bit too gory for me, if I remember it correctly," Gemini said with a raise of her hands. "Plus, I believe Maddie had stated that we will be voting, correct?"

"Voting? Who wouldn't vote for this!" Kira asked as a matter-of-factly and quickly produced the rest of the DVD’s in the series.

“Well we really should let everyone vote - it’s only fair,” she replied to the two, giving Kira an apologetic look.

Through the quickly rising excitement, a course voice cut through the topic to something else, "You wouldn't happen to have an ash tray would you?" It was a long shot, but a question that might as well be asked.

“Oh! Of course,” she smiled broadly, “Let me just find it real quick, okay?”

Crossing over to her bed she quickly pulled out yet another trunk and flipped the lid open; it held various odds and ends she didn’t need all the time, only occasionally. Seasonal decorations, an ashtray for when her parents came, a few books, a VHS player, etc. Pulling out the small, worn box that held the ash tray she pulled it out carefully, revealing a multifaceted creation of crystal with a flour delis etched into the bottom. Smiling cheerfully, she held it out to the girl, “Here you are,” and then returned the box and trunk to their original places.

Eventually they all agreed on a movie and as the guests began to settle into the feel of the party, the food and drinks making the rounds of the room, and the first of several proposed movies starting the mood eventually relaxed into a pleasant, overall feel.

Maddie was at home, surrounded by people she’d met, getting to know them, creating friendships with people she hoped would be around for a long time to come. Though it was not difficult for the bubbly blond girl to make friends there had been some worries about how quickly she might meet people. Thankfully since day one, well after that initial blood bath, she had been lucky to meet great people.

Unexpectedly, and only appropriately during a quiet, suspenseful moment of the movie, there was a knock at the door - making several people jump; Maddie of course popped up and exclaimed, “I’ll get it!”

Bounding over to the door, tossing a giggle over her shoulder she grabbed the door, and respectful of the movie going on, didn’t open it fully.

“Oi - hello!”

The next few moments happened very quickly. For those in the room, there was of course nothing to note at first. Maddie was leaning out of the door, only parts of her arm and leg visible as she spoke in hushed tones to - presumably - the person who knocked. Nothing out of the ordinary - right?

A few moments were spent in this hushed conversation, Maddie actually disappearing for a few moments, the door slowly revolving closed behind her. Discretely though, an oblong metal object rolled through the shadows a few feet into the room and expanded, emitting a clear though noxious gas that would at most cause a person to pass out, at the least it would cause a stinging of the eyes and coughing within several moments of the gas having been released. At the sign of the first few coughs the door swung open - those still in possession of themselves could see the prone body of Maddie lying across the threshold to her own room, unconscious with a needle sticking out of her neck, attached to a syringe.

A troop of boys burst into the room, all with dark skin, wearing the AHS school uniform, complete with the jacket but accessorized with a gasmask. Each one was armed with at least one syringe and something else, ranging from a metal baseball bat to a cricket bat or even a knife or gun. The last boy snatched a handful of Maddie’s hair and drug the French girl into the room, slamming it shut behind them.

While the exit was being closed off, the others were laying waste to the room, using the weapons and teaming up when one of the party go’ers was still conscious enough to put up an effort. Person and thing was equally the target of swings of a bat, punches and kicks. Universally the syringes were used on all of them, the injection somewhere between the shoulders to neck, a person had scant moments before a very strong tranquilizer saturated the bloodstream and either from the gas, the tranq, or the physical beating they set about to render all of them incapacitated.

For the most part the attackers were silent, but occasionally one would mumble something to another; it wasn’t Japanese.

When all six were confirmed as unconscious the gas-masked boys set about with a small satchel that held more syringes, but these were empty. Discharging two to each person that had taken charge of a victim they set about collecting blood while the others systematically began removing anything they’d brought with them; syringes, needles, the gas discharger. When it was all cleaned and the blood drawn the troop put their syringes away and produced bags to hide their now blood drenched weapons.

Kira was on the edge of her seat, slowly inserting one piece of popcorn after another into her mouth, chewing softly as to not disrupt the sudden momentum of the movie. Her eyes were entranced by the story she had seen over a dozen times, but nevertheless, it just meant it was just that damn good. Gemini mirrored the girl's position, on the edge of her seat, though their expressions were polar opposites. Kira held a half-risen grin, already knowing what was to come during the slower portion of the movie, getting ready for the unexpected twist to develop. Gemini, on the other hand, held a worried expression, fearing the outcome for the main character. As the antagonist and protagonist began exchanging words, the true betrayal of the former coming up within seconds, there was a knock at the door. Gemini nearly leaped out of her seat, though Kira barely seemed to notice, fully drawn into the movie playing before her very eyes.

>>“I’ll get it!”<<

Gemini watched, unable to keep her eyes on the action of the movie that began to develop. Yes; action movies were never her forte; Shiro, on the other hand, she would be just as involved as Kira... either that, or completely bored, pointing out all the special effects, or that she could have done a better job than the stunt doubles.

>>“Oi - hello!”<<

Gemini leaned back, hand full of popcorn, currently sidetracked by utter curiosity. It was a shame that someone had shown up late, but then again, perhaps it was for the best. Maybe they didn't like gory action movies. Perhaps they should watch a romantic comedy next; Gemini would certainly like that. A cling... nothing out of the ordinary, and barely noticeable as an explosion sounded through the television screen. Still, Gemini's eyes blinked as she could no longer see the faint arms of Maddie holding the door open. Then... it happened.

"Ow," Kira was first, raising her hands up to wipe her eyes, which had abruptly began to sting and fill with water. "Aw, right during the best pa-yawn..."

'Gemini!

'I know...'

Those sapphire hues flashed instantly to crimson. Almost immediately after Shiro had taken over her heart began to beat rapidly, forcing her adrenaline to rush in full... it was the biggest mistake she could have made. Ironically, whatever toxins may have been floating around the room was in fact fully exposed. With the sudden flow of her blood being forced, the effects hit Shiro far harder than it would have had she not activated her powers. She let out an incoherent grumble of words as she fell face first to the floor.

Kira, as groggy as she suddenly was, and suddenly unable to breathe properly with the newly developed tightening of her chest, attempted to stretch an arm to the girl.

"Ge... Gemini?" Kira croaked. Her head started spinning and the world around her began to fade. Her lungs forced further coughs as she slouched back into the chair, her limbs not working coherently enough to listen to her brain's commands. She felt her head roughly thrown to the side as a sudden prick in her neck forced her to flinch. She let out an incoherent protest, but her face was slapped in reply. The girl toppled to the side, next to one of the others in the room, seemingly unconscious.

"Assholes," Shiro attempted pushing herself up, forcing her adrenaline to try and overpass the effects of whatever gas they had ignited in the room. Whatever was going on, she needed to stop it, now. Fighting the effect, Shiro chose to rise right when one of the gas-masked attackers attempted to stick a needle in her neck. Her forearm struck right between the man's legs, while her other hand moved to flip him onto his back. A forceful cough escaped her lips a faint, scarlet aura surrounded her body. Her vision wasn't working correctly; she misjudged another man's attack, and her forearm nearly broke in half under the sudden strike of a bat. A heavy boot came to her midsection and Shiro was on the floor. From there, the only thing she could do was curl up to prevent further beatings, as those who came to the room held no remorse for defenseless women. Between the cracks of the bat against her limbs and the kicks that attempted to break through her arms and into her ribcage, blood was forcefully coughed up from her lungs. Moments later, they would continue their assault on an unconscious form, who no longer put up a fight...

Keely was actually enjoying herself, a fact which she found surprising after the slightly awkward start of the evening. She'd snagged a pillow from the couch and settled herself down by the window, tucking her legs underneath herself. The movie was a lot more engaging than she'd expected as well, and the suspense was starting to get to her. So much so, if fact, that when the knock came at the door she jumped and nearly fell off her pillow.

She looked around quickly, hoping that no one had seen her, then turned back to the movie when Maddie rose to answer the knock. She was already sucked back into the movie by the time the little French girl disappeared from the doorway, and also missed the clink of the gas bomb rolling into the room.

She did notice, however, when those nearest the door suddenly began cough and topple off their seats. A moment later the gas hit her as well, stinging her eyes and burning her lungs. She lept to her feel and flung the window behind her open, trying to get clean air to clear her suddenly spinning head.

It worked to a point, but before she could fully collect herself there was the sound of running feet coming up behind her. She ducked on instinct, dropping to the floor as something sailed through the air over her head, thudding against the wall behind her. She rolled blindly, narrowly avoiding a kick aimed at her head, and came back onto her feet with only one intention in her mind: to get away. Through her streaming eyes she could see little in the room save for dim figures running here and there, but for a moment there seemed to be a clear path between her and the door.

Holding her breath, she took off across the room at a sprint. She may have made it, too, she was only a few feet from the door, but her path was suddenly blocked by two burly boys in gas masks, one armed with a knife, the other with a cricket bat. She skidded to a stop, then threw herself sideways as the one with the knife lunged at her. The blade missed her torso, but left a long shallow cut across her shoulder.

Before she could right herself the boy with the cricket bat swung, catching her in the ribs and driving the last of the clean air from her lungs. She fell heavily on the floor near Maddie, the world beginning to go dark around the edges from the gas she was now forced to breath. Her shoulder and side felt like they were on fire. Just before she lost consciousness, she felt someone grab hold of her hair, jerking her head to the side. There was a sharp prick in her neck, and then everything went black.
