Yes, that's 18 with a Vizard mask.

>>“I - I’ve been better.”<<

It was apparent to Gemini that the woman had felt far worse than any of them had. Still, she could do little to remove the emotion pain the woman felt; her abilities marked more towards the removal of physical pain. From her reaction alone, Gemini could tell the woman barely slept, if at all.

>>“How is Kira? Is she okay?”<<

"She is ... alright," Gemini stated firmly. True, Kira's condition was now stable, it was still far from 'alright.' The small girl had received such a blow to the head, she was now in a coma. The doctor's had told her that it seemed minor and possibly temporary, but they were also very stern to the chance that the longer she remained that way, the less likely she would awaken. Gemini found it best to keep that information to herself. "I was able to heal her a bit more after your intervention. And thank you for that, by the way."

It was a first for the elder healer to receive aid herself. Still, she couldn't help but feel pity for the girl standing before her. The woman's hand remained on the girl's shoulder. Gemini wanted nothing more than to hold the girl while she released some of the obvious tension that was welled up inside of her. The crimson-mixed-sapphire haired woman assumed that the girl had already cried so much that her tear ducts were more likely than not more dry than the desert. Even still, she could tell that the woman just wanted to turn back time. That was one thing Gemini could not help her new friend to do. What she could, however, was be there for her; stand beside her, and catch her should she fall in this project that was set before them.

"I brought Vertigo with me," Gemini explained, hoping to try and avoid the woman from thinking doubtful thoughts. "She's very powerful and a good asset. She's trustworthy."

Almost on cue, Vertigo had finished the slow walk over, having spent some of her time simply studying those around her. Her expression was hard to read; stoic at best. Her arms were crossed over her chest and her brows pinched inward a bit, possibly signaling a displeased look to hearing the events that had led up to this very point. When those dark black hues fell upon Maddie, her rough exterior softened a bit and her arms slowly dropped.

Gemini placed a second reassuring hand on the woman's opposite shoulder.

"Don't worry," Gemini hoped the girl would listen to her words. "We'll all get to the bottom of this. We'll make sure nothing like this ever happens again."

With that being said, it seemed as the group was organizing itself once again after food had been served. Gemini stayed close to Maddie as Vertigo moved toward the front in order to hear and understand everything, since she held no real part in the story up to this point.

"Come on," Gemini started to lead the woman to a seat, hoping that her presence would be warm and welcoming enough to rid the 'on edge' aura she was giving off.

"Yeah I'm staying" Xander replied reluctantly. It was against his nature to sit in one place for too long, but then again it wasn't really up to him. He moseyed over to a vacant seat and sat down. Sighing again he waged another internal battle against his calmer side. Crossing his arms with a huff, he began a cycle of daydreams not paying attention to the rest of the room.

Mandy & Cid: The Tastey Cream Team

As everyone settled down with food and drinks Izel began going around the room, asking each person for any details they could remember. Unfortunately it wasn't a lot of information.

No one could identify any individual person; all of the attackers were a bit of a uniform blur. Some claimed that the attacker had been meta, others remembered one out of the group that was not quite a physically dominant person, but acted as the brains.

All who were attacked were sedated from a noxious gas, a tranquilizer, or physical beatings.

They could only generally assume that everyone who was sedated also had their DNA harvested.

Speculation said that a black satchel was how the DNA was transported, though only two people could recall vague, foggy images of syringes being stored in these.

No one remembered them arriving, no one saw them leaving. It was like they had just ceased to exist.

Things continued on for a few hours; this was why they had ordered the pizza. They fully anticipated this lasting quite a while, and while some had scoffed at their idea of bringing in pizza, had they not had it people would have been upset.

Once everyone had compared notes on the attacks they began discussing travel plans for the following day. It was going rather well - the two were surprised how many people were going with them. They were getting ready to close it up, having people reiterate their names, when they came to a rather unbalanced looking boy - the one who had bumped into Carniku...

Standing a little shaky, drawing attention to himself....he....became a she. Fading fuscia hair, slightly yellowed, sickly skin stretched over a skeleton and grossly bruised face where you could vaguely identify the eyes, nose and mouth - she was a terrible sight.

"You're going back and I'm going with you."

Micah and Izel traded hard looks before looking back at the girl. "Amalthea - you look like they hurt you badly, you don't have to come with us," Micah said with a touch of tenderness. She didn't trust Izel to speak to the other girl.

"You'll need me," she sneered.

"Why's that?" Micah far from trusted the girl. It was more than just not liking her, it was something else she couldn't quite put her finger on.

"Because I might not have recognized those boys - but I know those accents. You don't know northwestern Argentina like I do; you've never been in the jungle before," she spat bitterly at Izel.

Actually Izel had been there on hunting trips with her father, but that was a moot point that did not need to be made. "Alright," Izel said coldly. "Lets see about your injuries. Everyone else, we'll get a bus or vans to get us to the airstrip - be on time."

((OOC: Continued: Only the Beginning.))
