Helena sat on a bench in the courtyard for an indeterminate amount of time. She had arrived at the school almost a day ago, yet had seen very little of it besides the bench on which she currently sat. The only things she had with her were several heavily bound books describing the meanings of the various things one might encounter in a dream. She had read the books cover to cover several times, and could almost recite the entire content of the books from memory. However, she found most of the information they contained to be false, or misconstrued. This was especially true with the work of Psychologist Sigmund Freud, the works of whom, Helena read purely for enjoyment. She moved her stack of books off her lap, onto the previously vacant portion of the bench. She folded her hands together and stretched her arms upward, stretching her back over the back of the bench. Helena rubbed her eyes, as though the tired in them could be vanquished in such a manner. She knew that eventually she would have to move into her dorm room, but she liked the fact that not even the administration knew she had arrived yet. She wasn't accountable until she chose to be. On the other hand, she would have to drag her books around campus until she got over herself long enough to talk to a housing administrator. She glanced around the mostly empty courtyard. Classes had already ended for the day, but a few people were still making their way towards whatever destination it pleased them to go to after enduring whatever mental tortures had been imposed on them. Helena sighed, and picked a book with a colorful ripple-whirl pattern on the front, she flipped to a random page, and began reading. |

Oh how the first days were so chaotic. It was just as he had predicted. He expected something crazy and inhumane to come his way and his childhood friend granted him that prediction. Though it was nothing to really whine over, he could have done without making a big scene. Then again, reunions weren't reunions unless you drew attention to your friend/family somehow. As of now, he had somehow lost his way from Raiga and had stumbled upon the outside of the school...at least he thought he was on the outside. The teen slowly raised his hand behind his head, rubbing it a bit, than looked around once again. 'The only downside to arriving at a new area. You have no idea where anything else.' On a lighter note...This time, he slowly glanced around before gently stepping off of the ground, and used his telekenetic abilities to slowly levitate. He sat down at first, trying to figure out where he was, than decided that he would just walk upside down and hopefully arrive somewhere. As he stood up and flipped himself upside down, he began walking as though he was still on the ground, his hair hanging upside down from his face while the bangs that usually covered his left or right eye also hung to the Earth's grasp. He continued his walking until he stopped and realized how rediculous one would look walking upside down. 'Guess that means that I'm pretty rediculous.' He gave a carefree smile before finally sitting upright and continuing to slowly push himself through the air as he pulled his hands back and forth as though he was rowing a boat. The teen grew further and further away from the ground until he spotted a female with more than a normal amount of books. He blinked, his hotpink colored eyes sparking with curiosity, and rowed himself lower until he was just a few feet away from her. Continuing to sit in midair, he gave one of his carefree smiles yet again (The second one on the left) than began to speak. "Xcuse' me. But what's with all the books?" This telekenetic wielding lavender haired weirdo was none other than AHS's newest student, Shadow Elseyn Kutaragi/Terrell Jerome Jones. |

"Xcuse' me. But what's with all the books?" Helena glanced upward, slowly scanning the area in front of her for the source of the disturbance in the otherwise-silent atmosphere. She was a bit startled and annoyed that someone would talk to her out of sheer boredom or curiosity. It made her feel like she was meant to entertain the person; to be some sort of a means by which to occupy one's time. Was this student's interest in her activities supposed to flatter her? Did he expect to gain some sort of social enlightenment from the information he requested? It was useless. A useless waste of time. He had a whimsical action attached to no apparent goal, this was matched with the laid-back smile he produced. Helena concluded her scan. This boy was the kind of person who takes life one obstacle at a time, with no end goal in mind. Her initial response to her analysis was to proceed with lessened respect for the personal views she didn't know, of a person she hadn't even really met yet. Something in the back of her head scoffed at her pigheadedness; something else in the back of her head organized a protest against the first thing. The later defeated the former, and Helena snapped her book shut, very slightly annoyed, but not enough for her distaste to display on her face. "They're for reading, of course," she replied, rather matter-of-factly, "Why else would they be here if I wasn't reading them? In my experience, it would be unusual for someone to carry around books without need or want for them." ((OOC: sorry it took me a while to respond, my grandpa had surgery two days ago, which he still hasn't woken up from, and he also just had his second stroke this year.)) |

((ooc: It's perfectly fine. I don't mind waiting.)) Shadow's eyes opened up, studying the figure of the female, than slowly tilted his head in a childish manner. This female that he had just encountered...look rather familiar to someone that he used to know. Her hair was a beautiful shade of blonde with an adorable face and rather fine figure to match. 'Should I just stand up straight and stop floating around?' His mind pondered on this as the female was startled by his appearance and apparent foolishiness/arrogance from the question he had asked. Most of the time, he didn't care about what other people thought of him, but for this time, why should it be different? "They're for reading, of course, Why else would they be here if I wasn't reading them? In my experience, it would be unusual for someone to carry around books without need or want for them." He blinked. Boy, was she a fiesty one. Shadow raised his hand behind his head, his fingers curling towards his hair, than scratched softly as he searched for an answer. "Touche. I won't lie. You got me beat there. But, You could have the books because your holding them for someone else and you could have gotten bored of just waiting for them so you decided to take a gander at what was inside." That was like Shadow, always having an answer for everything, regardless of the question. He finally stood up straight, his feet touching the ground, and placed both of his hands inside of his pocket and began to speak once more. "My name is Shadow Elseyn Kutaragi or as what my Uncle and the rest of his band members call me, Shads. It's a pleasure to meet you." He said. "I'm new here and got lost so I was wandering, If this isn't your first time here, Do you mind helping me around if I'm not interferring with your book time?" Regardless of how rude he had approached her, even if he didn't look at it that way, he always made up for how proper and..funny he could be? 'Something along those lines.' Yeah...something along those lines. |

"Touche. I won't lie. You got me beat there. But, You could have the books because your holding them for someone else and you could have gotten bored of just waiting for them so you decided to take a gander at what was inside." Helena weighed it in her head. It was true, she could have just gotten bored while waiting for the owner of the books to return. She was bored, yes, so it was a legitimate hypothesis. Helena gained a small amount of respect back for the boy in front of her. "I'm new here and got lost so I was wandering, If this isn't your first time here, Do you mind helping me around if I'm not interfering with your book time?" She placed her book on top of her pile, stood up, and stretched. Several of her joints made audible popping noises before she returned to her natural stance. "Actually, I got here around a day ago, but I haven't done enough exploring of the campus to be able to tell you where anything is. Sorry about that. What of course, she failed to mention, was that she had done no exploring past finding her bench. |

The obvious factor of her head hanging declared him as the victor (for now)! He thought about doing something he never did (which was showing off) and decided that it wasn't really his place to do such a thing. Though he had felt far more confident that he had at least gotten her attention for sure. Just as he was about to walk over to the bench and sit down, she began to speak. "Actually, I got here around a day ago, but I haven't done enough exploring of the campus to be able to tell you where anything is. Sorry about that." ...That meant that he was back at square one. He let out a defeated sigh, scratching the back of his head in disbelief, than slowly brightened up as he turned to her again. "Well, Since the both of us are new here. Why don't we stroll around for a bit? I'm sure it'll beat sitting down on a bench and reading books. Unless they're for personal purposes, then I'll just be on my way." At this point, he held out his hand, standing up straight with something that looked like a small smirk that was slowly forming. "So, what do ya say?" |

"So, what do ya say?" Helena was at a bit of a loss,"Uh... I'm not really...I don't..." What she meant to express was that she was not at this school to make friends. She wasn't even here to have any sort of conversation at length with anyone. In fact, she was here to keep her head down, figure out how to control her abilities enough to get that boy out of his coma, and get out. To become nothing and be no one. Honestly, she was tired of having people depend on her, of people making plans for her without her knowledge, and of having no control over her life while others were sleeping. It was happening again, sooner or later she would find herself in a compromising situation with a stupid ultimatum. Images of her old life snaked their way into her head, making her get mad at the memory manipulator all over again. She stared at the outstretched hand. If she went with him, no doubt they would become "friends" and his memory of her would cement itself into his subconscious. If she refused, he would probably think her odd, again cementing her into the back of his mind, as rejection often does. She was stuck again, and what was worse was that Shadow didn't even know that he had trapped her. Her imaginary self was throwing a fit in frustration, throwing and breaking things with a strength far greater than her real self. Without thinking about what she was doing, she glanced at the boy's eyes, which she just noticed were a very strange color. She had a familiarly strange sinking feeling in her lower chest. She blinked, and found herself exactly where she had been standing before, only, the edges of the landscape were blurred, and the foliage took on more of the idea, or a representation of what they were supposed to be. Helena however, did not notice. ((OOC: If your character blocks against her dream illusion thing, then it will look to him as though she just randomly fell over. If he doesn't block, then he'll be dragged in too, and his real self will randomly fall asleep)) |

Shadow's smirk still stayed glued for several moments while the gears in his head seemed to have stopped for a moment. It was during this time that he decided to get them going again and went on with thinking about the current situation at hand. 'There are several things wrong with this. For one thing, whenever I look at her. She reminds me of "You-Know"Who". Next, How the hell am I supposed to figure out my way around the school? Next-' His thoughts stopped the moment he glanced into her eyes and saw how...exotic (due to lack of words) they were. Yet, his body began to feel weightless. It was only when this feeling became present was when he actually began to feel light-headed and that light-headedness slowly began to obscure his mind in a thick fog that was becoming harder and harder to comprehend. Without realizing it, his eyes stayed glued, his body swayed a bit than-'How ya been...Master?' Inside of his mind was a figure that looked exactly like his own, except for the hair that was covering it's eyes. Shadow inside of his own mind was laying on the ground. This mirrored being was positioned over him as though they were getting ready to do something that was within the R-Rated section but instead stayed crouched while gripping Shadow's collar tightly. 'How have you been, Master? Being healthy and pleased, I hope. Or have you been depressed and crawling on the ground like a helpless dog?' This time, one of the eyes seemed demonic like someone had grabbed a knife and cut through it to make a catlike slit. The only difference between Shadow's and this "Thing's" was that it bore no color at all. '..What do you want?..' 'Master, I came all the way down to see you, that is such a far way for someone to just see you, isn't it, isn't it?' As it repeated the same two words, it drew it's face closer while slowly glancing around. Now, Shadow's eyes were open to the plane that seemed endless and that girl was..around somewhere. The being slowly held Shadow up to his feet, than stepped back. 'Why are you using that false name, Master? Why are you?' 'It's for 'him'. It's not a false nam-' 'Do you not like your name? Do you not? Is Terrell Jerome Jones such a bad name? Is it?' 'It's..my British name..My real name. Enough talking, Analyze where we are.' 'Not in the school, Master, Not in..We're in some unknown place..You being a Schizophrenic should know that this isn't the same, now is it?' Shadow-No, Terrell slowly shook his head, placing both hands in his pocket, than looked around again...trying to find the girl that he had just encountered. |

Helena felt suddenly pleased and at-ease, everything that bothered her was gone. In fact, she couldn't even remember what she had been so upset about...however long ago it was... it was hard to say. On the one hand, it felt like hours, but she knew somewhere in her head that it really had not been that long. She had a very slight nagging feeling that she had been doing something... that there was something slightly wrong. She heard a faint echo-y voice referring to someone as "master" which confused her. Though she was unaware of the change in scenery, she knew somewhere that she should be the only one here, and there should be no other voices. Looking around, she saw a blurry figure on the floor that seemed vaguely familiar, but it was hard to tell. She went over to it and put her hand on its shoulder, and it instantly became unblurred and clear. She glanced at the face, and her previously contented expression fell. She still couldn't remember exactly why this person was familiar, but the very fact that he was here was wrong. "You... You're not supposed to be here" she informed Terrell... but it almost looked like there were two of him... Helena blinked a few times... but there were still two... though one looked slightly different... different face. She frowned and turned her back, waiting for him/them to stir. She started to become aware that this was a bad situation to be in. ((OOC: I'm doing my best to interpret your last post; it sounds like you had him fall asleep. Is that's the case, then he's in the dream world with Helena now, and she can see his alter self)) |

The plane was something...that soothed him for some reason. Everything seemed far more easier to comprehend and with his already mentally ill mind, he was perfectly fine and didn't even seem to bother on tryng to decifer what had just happened. "Shadow" was still beside Terrell, hair covering the demonic slits in his eyes while Terrell seemed to be more relaxed than ever. Terrell was about to go searching for whatever was in here until "Shadow" had risen his head to the point that he was looking down at him. His hair was covering his eyes completely and even then, his eyes could be seen through the strands like some reinactment of the Grudge. 'Master, there's someone here..and how long do you think it'll be until they come for you?' 'What are you talking about-' The air around him had suddenly grown tense as "Shadow" walked by his master without saying a word. Terrell looked up, then saw that Shadow as slowly disappearing as he spoke. 'Never forget that night Master. When you used your claws for the first time and tore through the night. You have a nickname that you still raise your head to. You cringe whenever you hear a Dog barking because it reminds you of those nights. Regardless of where you are Master, what you are dealing with, or when you are dying, We will always be DOGS.' From that moment on, "Shadow" disappeared as Terrell had slowly risen his hand and made it slide against his neck. His eyes seeming almost apathetic as the finger traced against a ste-"You... You're not supposed to be here.." Terrell's eyes flooded back to life as he was spoken to and looked at the female. Lucky for him, it was the exact same girl that he had seen/met before. "Where is here, Exactly?" He questioned, his attention on her, but his mind still stuck to the fact that what "Shadow' had said was true...and also to the thing that was on the back of his neck... ((Ooc: That's correct and I'm sorry I haven't been on, My internet died and I've just been able to get it back up recently.)) Edited by Shadow Kutaragi, Mar 25 2009, 10:22 PM.

Helena watched, slightly confused as the second Terrell slowly disappeared. He seemed agitated about something on his neck that she couldn't see. "Where is here, Exactly?" Helena thought it was blatantly obvious, and was about to retort with something insulting, but then she realized that it had been unintentional, and there was no fault on his part. "We're not anywhere. Well... assuming that what I think happened happened... wait... no. I'm sorry, my brain's being stupid. I keep pinpointing it, and then it slips away. But I know that it's not a good thing that you're here, specifically because we're not really anywhere... if that makes any sense? The part of her brain that was actually working informed her that she had made another dire mistake, but was unspecific on the details. ((OOC: It's ok, I haven't really been able to get on either, my grandpa passed away last saturday, and it's been a family circus)) Edited by Jorality, Apr 1 2009, 11:50 PM.
