Once a upon a time …; there was a Tournament

I was walking with the ghost

Natsumi looked around, shocked...it really was just the two of them!...gulp. "Sounds good!" She said, sitting herself down beside him, hands in her lap. She would be at least a little bit brave...one had to be brave (or foolish) to enter something like this, surely she could be so as well.

Being a pacifist for the most part, she flinched as she watched the matches, it looked like it hurt. Always such a baby when it came to pain, "Seems this was the wrong event for a coward like me." She said with a smile, standing up "I think I'll go get a drink and something to eat, do you want anything?" She asked Yusei, even though she wasn't facing him, as to face him would shoe him how hard she was blushing. Tra la la~ Natsumi is boy stupid~

Seriously, Diyu needs to meet up with a little girl from kansas, a robot, and some kinda furry so he can go ask the wizard for a working brain. To be fair and honest, his could still be rather screwed up, he did get shot in it a long while ago. So when Kehai revealed that they rather had met before, and had even been brought to make him FABULOUS at the mall, Diyu pushed his mind, pushed his memory back. The cogs in his mind turned and chugged along. Well, when we say cogs, we really mean one sickly hamster in a broken wheel slowly walking and making really loud squeaky noises before falling over dead. Yeah, that was a good visualization of his mind.

"From the mall? Of course I remember you!" Wait for it, it can only get better. "You were that gorgeous girl with the coupons that came up to my friend and me. I do think you still owe me a date. SUGOI! A chance meeting of my goddess of victory, we truly are brought together by fate!"

Where is that wizard?

"I know, it's so-".

It was nice to laugh with someone unabashedly so. So much of her life recently had been stressful recently that the simple laughter was medicine to her aching soul. She was beginning to feel as if she were spread far too thin in life, too many people and problems were battering at her mind. While previously the number of people and problems had been more numerous, the problems she faced now were greater and her own.

For a few moments she was lost within herself; almost taking stock of her mind and how run down she felt. She was tired in a way she had never known before; it reached down into her soul. True, to a casual observer and the few people who had spent time around her to know her would probably not notice - but she felt it deep within her.

Suddenly a flower blossomed in front of her - well that's what it looked like to her at least. Really she had been far too lost inside her own little world to take note of what Kuvoc was doing next to her. Gasping in pleasant surprise she grasped the flower with one hand and turned her bright face to the boy who sat next to her, looking a little embarrassed.

Well Ally, not being a shy creature, tossed her other arm around his shoulders and the other followed quickly, locking him in a tight and fleeting embrace, "Thank you!"

Admiring the flower, she suddenly realized she had never in her life been given a flower by a boy before, causing her cheeks to color slightly, her pale skin hiding nothing. "Sorry, I guess I'm really easily excitable," she mumbled and attempted a chuckle at herself as she twirled the flower like a happy child in front of her. Below them the first fight was raging on and she quickly elapsed into a mesmerized silence. Never before had she watched anything like it...

------

Kehai admired the young man for a few moments; Daniel would find him rather attractive. He was more of the same type of creature - all muscle and manly, unlike her. Absently she wondered what Daniel would think of him and even made a small note to see if she could scrounge Diyu up when Daniel came home for the summer.

"From the mall? Of course I remember you! You were that gorgeous girl with the coupons that came up to my friend and me. I do think you still owe me a date. SUGOI! A chance meeting of my goddess of victory, we truly are brought together by fate!"

Quirking the brow even farther up the face, Kehai didn't bother to hide a deep, throaty chuckle from him as she fanned her face with her free hand. "Oh my no, I would never wear something that pink - that was Kysse."

Pausing to wonder how to break it nicely to him, she tilted her head to one side, the mound of wig shifting with the motion, "Well I was Keigo at the time," she said dryly, "and today I'm Kehai - so I can understand and will forgive you not recognizing me," she batted her eyes. Oh the poor thing...

A million worries were racing through his mind as he used all of his willpower to glue his eyes on to the fight. What if she hadn't noticed the flower? What if she purposefully ignored it? Or worse yet just threw it away? Or what if she didn't like tulips? Maybe giving a flower was something really personal, or maybe-

His worries were cut off by the sudden arms flinging around his shoulders, squeezing him in a tight embrace. His head almost exploded as his worries transitioned into confusion, the confusion turning into realization, the realization turning into relief, the relief turning into a sort of contentment, and the contentment bursting into a moment of giddy joy before it all settled down into a sort of dizzying happiness. He hadn't made a fool of himself! Yet, at least.

"Thank you!"

He struggled to find words and just nodded instead. As she was examining the flower, he felt self-conscious for a moment. She must have gotten tons of flowers before, his probably seemed a bit weak. He rolled his eyes at himself and pushed the doubt aside. He was being silly. Caring for plants was one of the few things he allowed himself to feel confidence, and even a bit of pride, in. He hummed softly to himself subconciously for a second, just enjoying the feeling. Kuvoc blinked as he began to notice a blush rising on the girl's cheeks. For some reason that he had absolutely no explanation for, this made him feel a little better. At least he was pretty sure it was a good thing. Maybe? Maybe.

"Sorry, I guess I'm really easily excitable."

He shook his head at the apology, just continuing to smile. "Don't be sorry. I'm just really glad that you like it." His ear suddenly caught a very hushed, almost inaudible, cheerful chirping. Even Vitti had a sense of pleasure at the thought of the little gift being appreciated. He heard a bit of cheering off to his side and he was suddenly reminded that he was watching a fight! Kuvoc turned his attention back to the action, rewarded with a sudden dramatic clash between the fighters. Grasping around he managed to find his bag of peanuts without having to take his eye from the arena, grabbing a couple and popping them in his mouth. This day was turning out to be a pretty good one.

"Keigo...Keigo..." Diyu repeated the word over and over again. He was trying to place it, running through the rolladex of names and faces that had been stored over the top. The little gears that made up his brain were turning, churning, but seems one of the bolts popped off. The little cogs went running haywire and falling off. Long story short, the factory now made peanut butter. Sweet delicious peanut butter. You can only buy it with nickles, nickles with pictures of bees on them. Give me five bees for a quarter they'd say!

"Nope. Doesn't ring a bell." He smiled, his eyes closing. Goddamn was he stupid. To be fair, he did still have minor brain damage from a bullet that hit him ages ago, but there was little, little excuse for this. "Kysse, Keigo, Flobbadibbo, you are still my goddess of victory!" Well that was lovely. The eye fluttering the fanning, boy was that girl just so cute.

"I am honored to be the champion of such a goddess like yourself."

"Don't be sorry. I'm just really glad that you like it."

Smiling she twirled in front of her and lifted the flower to her nose and smelled; tulips weren't known for be the best smelling flower, but it had a unique odor that was pleasant amidst the inevitable odors from the press of bodies.

Turning back to the action she smiled pleasantly to herself. She was a bit startled by the sheer strength of some of the fighters. Growing up she had never been allowed or had the opportunity to see something on this scale. It was a little daunting and she sat back in her chair, one hand still holding the flower, the other crossed in front of her as she watched the two titans battle it out.

"I - I've never seen something like this," she breathed during a lull in the fighting; the first round looked like it was drawing to a close soon...

------

"Keigo...Keigo...Nope. Doesn't ring a bell." He smiled, his eyes closing. "Kysse, Keigo, Flobbadibbo, you are still my goddess of victory! I am honored to be the champion of such a goddess like yourself."

Laughing to herself, she waved at him, "Fine - don't worry about it. My name is Kehai," she extended her hand, "Diyu - it is a pleasure to meet you once again."

Well if he was that silly in the head, there was no point in confusing him more.....

Slanty green eyes hidden within Japanese eyes searched among the crowd, scanning his surroundings and the peers within sight. Not looking for anything in particular but more or less scoping out what kind of people were at the Meta-Human school. They looked like average kids with above average abilities, those who didn’t have any visible differences from human were otherwise creatures of various abilities able to hide within baseline human society. Like Michael himself, an intelligent, if indifferent, face in a suit and tie, but wielding raw magical energy like some mage or wizard from fantasy books. The idea was only slightly exciting to Michael, solely because he had read hundreds of books about samurai who appear weaker than they really are, among these being Zatoichi, the blind ronin. His eyes darted to the arena, where normal looking teens partook in blood sport using abilities and skills that any other human teenager would not be able to use. Michael had wanted to participate greatly, but his warrior blood had to wait as he wanted to take this time to catalogue his classmates and see their abilities firsthand.

Knowing his opponents would come in handy if they were to ever hold another tournament and something told the Yakuza born teen there would be more. He watched the fight carry on as two students whom he didn’t know of, names not helping at all, fight it out. Of course they’re lack of extensive training began to bore Michael quickly, not thrilled by people with no form or grace. Michael’s life had been raised around violence as an art form and technique, from swords to fists, so to see kids with basic or moderate training served as nothing more than a blasé show for untrained eyes. He finished watching the first before more competitors took the arena, quietly and unobtrusively dodging around people as he left the stands to wander about the tournament grounds. His tanned hand brushed the coat tails of his jacket, making sure the short blade was well covered and no hint of a weapon could be seen. Though he absolutely didn’t have a problem carrying something around bigger than four or five inches, others would have to disagree.

Shrugging his way past shoulders and close-standing faces, Michael broke out further away from the crowds, marching along the grounds surrounding the stands and the arena. He began making a circuit around the perimeter, studying all the faces he passed, trying to put them in some mental file so he would recognize them at school should anyone ever make it their choice to communicate with him. Michael had no interest as friends, same as ever, and this was far more important than learning English, literature, science and math. This was expanding his abilities, bettering his skills, so he had no time for friends. Still, learning about the people around him benefited him so he could at least act “normal” unless he felt like making more enemies than he already had. He kept tracking the faces that passed by, his mood almost vacant as he moved along. His pathway carried him under an archway, passing through the short tunnel and coming out to see a couple of teens standing to the side. A quick glance showed a blue hair male and a petite female. More faces he would have to remember.

As Kuvoc watched the fight that was starting to gain even more momentum, he was becoming more and more impressed with the fighting spirit of both combatants. They seemed to be facing off pretty equally so far, performing physical feats that he was slightly jealous of. He allowed himself to daydream for a moment about what it would be like to be standing down in the ring. Images of his broken nose being continuously pounded into his face caused him to shudder before quietly chuckling at his own stupidity. If he was going to be sticking around this school, it would probably be important for him to learn a little bit about physical fighting soon. He had grown up in a rural setting, with little interaction, not giving him any chance to actually get in a fight. For now, though, he contented himself with simply watching the skill of those in front of him.

"I - I've never seen something like this."

Kuvoc chuckled as Ally's comment echoed his own thoughts. "I know...it is amazing to think of all the training these two must have been through in order to fight like this. Not gonna lie, I'm a little jealous. They look so impassioned with the fight." The ease with which the words flowed out of his mouth surprised him a little. It was only a few moments ago he was stammering and nervous, but somehow he had grown a lot more comfortable. "It must be pretty great to have something you can dedicate yourself so completely to..."

"Kehai. Yes, that is a name that fits you. Beautiful and different, a comforting word that brings forth an inner fire from the belly of all those that meet you." Ah Diyu you shameless flatterer. Then again, that was just who he had become. It was much better then the mute, hyper serious trouble making ninja that no one liked. Nor the far future flung freedom fighter for fierce fleemangle? No, that last one isn't a word. But we were on such a roll! But that really was it. All the past incarnations, and this was the only successful one of the mighty Diyu, the former Loire, offspring of that bizarre mayor of Domino.

"Well Kehai. I am afraid my match will be coming soon. I have to prepare and lose these clothes." Oh at least he had some sense of time. He then removed the leather jacket. Holding it out to the person he declared his goddess. He tended to do this quite a bit, just pray they never met each other.

"Please my goddess. Take this as an offering, so that I might be victorious and come back for it. For you and your blessings."

Mesmerized by the alien motions, her dark eyes followed the brutal movements of the dance the two were performing, her mouth making a small 'o' and the flower sitting in her lap like she was it's personal throne. In the back of her mind she pondered his words.

"Well," she started slowly, her eyes still following the combatants in their deadly dance of death, "I suppose we can all have something that we are the best at." Flourishing the flower, she looked at him, "Not everyone can give a girl a flower out of thin air," she winked.

Oh dear... He wanted her to not just touch, but be in possession of the horrible leather jacket. Forcing a smile she accepted it with her fingers, holding it out to the side and slightly away from her so it would not touch her perfect dress. Maybe she could get rid of it and play it off...it was a possibility.

"Well darling, I will be sitting in that box," she pointed to a yet empty box, "and you can come find me when you're done - how's that?"

"Amazing..."

"Interesting..."

"Indeed..."

The two women were followed by the non participant, of course joining her friends simply to cheer them on. Kira, Shiro, and Vertigo stood together, walking through the crowds of people after initially signing in, the crimson haired woman acting as lead as she began to stroll freely about, simply allowing her 'woman's intuition' to lead her stroll. Kira had been to many tournaments in the past, but such a turnout had never been as large as the competitions she had previously joined. As merely a novice fighter and no real meta-human abilities that would aid her in such a battle, she simply would remain as a cheerleader for her roommate and her new friend. Of course, she was curious to see if a certain someone had decided to enter the tournament as well.

"Where is the line up for the tournament," Vertigo asked, her black hues scanning about for some sort of list. Shiro, however, shrugged her shoulders, a bored expression hastily falling upon her complexion.

"I'm not sure," Kira placed her index finger to her lip as she paused in her step and began to search as well. "I'm pretty sure they'll announce your name when it's your turn to fight."

With that, Kira began to take the lead again, this time, allowing her sense of smell to direct her to where food was being served.

"Perhaps we should watch over the next few-" Her eyes blinked as her acute sense of smell seemed to tarnish any further thought process. With a woman holding the appetite of a small army, she hastily followed in step behind the far shorter girl to where a group of others eating. There were various people talking, eating, drinking, and even placing bets on the current matches. It was there that Vertigo found the line up for the current matches in progress. When she did not see her name, her attention was brought back to her bottomless stomach.

"A dish of curry rice, and somen noodles," Vertigo started to order the moment an opening was provided for her. "An order of sukiyaki, yakitori, tonkatsu, and nikujaga to start. Gyoza, teriyaki, sōki, and chanpurū for the second course. A few slices of fugu sounds good as well."

"Two courses, hu?" Shiro arched a brow at the rather long list of food the rather thin woman had ordered. Where the hell was she going to put all that? They'd have to rent a forklift just to take home a doggy bag!

"Isn't fugu poisonous?" Kira blinked curiously as she turned to the tall long black haired woman.

"If it is not prepared correctly," Vertigo said as she turned to the shorter girl. "But it is quite satisfying."

"Well worth risking your life for," Shiro nodded her head sarcastically, then decided to place an order herself. "Just a bowl of ramen; sapporo, if you could."

"Oh," Kira quickly turned to Shiro at the sound of her order. "My mom used to cook that for me all the time; I haven't had it in so long! Make that two!"

"You were originally born in Hokkaidō originally, right?" Shiro asked, though already knew the answer.

"Yea," Kira said as she nodded her head. "I lived there for almost ten years before moving to the United States. I've been back in Japan for almost a year now."

With that, the three began to try and find a free table.

Kuvoc whistled a little in appreciation at the explosions that rocked the arena in which the two combatants were fighting. Idly he started wondering how the explosions were being made exactly before shrugging it off. It didn't really matter, they were pretty impressive. He felt around his bag of peanuts before realizing that it was empty, the realization followed by a sigh of regret. He should've gotten the bigger bag. After a few moments, he heard Ally's voice again.

"Well, I suppose we can all have something that we are the best at. Not everyone can give a girl a flower out of thin air."

This caused the beginning of another blush on poor Kuvoc's face, unable to really come up with a response to the compliment. He ran his fingers through the mop of shaggy hair on his head again as he pondered the comment. Technically he wasn't really creating the flower, more of just commanding the seed to grow and giving it the nutrients and energy it needed to do so. He was about to say so before realizing that it was a trivial point anyway, and would probably just be a boring point to make. Instead, he decided to give in to a bit of curiosity. He tilted his head slightly as he turned to look at her. "So how about you? What are the things that you're best at?"

Things were still somewhat quiet at the moment, so Neo was taking a moment to see who they had managed to get involved in this tournament so far. Most of the competition he hadn't heard about but one name struck out blatantly to him. The look of shock on his face was obvious even to Haru, which was surprising to see on his friend's face.

Haru: "Dude, what got your goat?"
Neo: "Just saw Kagaro's name on the list here. Didn't know he was in this."
Haru: "Kagaro, Kagaro... didn't you punch him in the face once?"
Neo: "No... just a friendly sparring match."
Haru: "You know Valreign, there's one thing I don't get. You could have signed up and ran everyone down to the ground, Why didn't you participate anyway?"
Neo: "Well, it wouldn't be all that fair to me honestly. And I haven't practiced or trained in months..."
Haru: "Yeah right, you promised Diana you wouldn't get involved, didn't you?"
Neo: "...No comment. And what about you? You aren't under any station obligation to not participate, y'know."
Haru: "And run the risk of denying my public the sound of my voice every morning? Never."

Vain much? It was pointless to discuss semantics with the guy, so lets fast forward to Yusei and Natsumi. Where she was flinching left and right from all the activity, he was just watching everything with a grain of salt. He understood that it was just for the competition, but the more he thought about it, it was probably for the best that he didn't participate. And just like her, he didn't turn away as she asked him if they wanted anything when she got up. Instead, he just reached for his wallet and handed her some money to cover what he would want.

"Um, if I could have a couple of burgers, and another bottle of water? I'll keep your seat safe for you."

"Arigato gozaimasu."

"Doo itshimashite." Scott spoke his reply without hesitation. Though he was quick to come up with a reply, he didn't try to move any process along faster than she was setting. That would be rude. If it was one thing he knew, it was to never be rude to a lady. He waited patiently as she brushed off her uniform with poised grace. Her hair seemed very dark, almost unnaturally so. That was likely due how fair she was though. He could easily tell her uniform was not the standard for female students. Still, a question never arose in his mind. To each their own.

"My dog chewed up my uniform.... This was the only loaner the school had at the time."

"That happens sometimes," he said. Not intending to speak with such a monotone. Almost immediately she apologized, he didn't know what for until she released his hand. He gently relaxed his own hand so that she could easily do so. She was clearly embarrassed, though Scott looked oblivious as to why.

"I'm Yukina, but my more.... Caucasian friends just call me Jane."

At the last part, there was no keeping back his smirk. He'd never heard anyone actually call him Caucasian before, except on a form. It was polite, and very cute in a way. He bowed as soon as he saw her do it, but would not come up until she did first. "Jane it is, though Yukina is a very nice name," he began. She wouldn't have said the second name had she not meant him to use it he figured. "My name is Scott. It's nice to meet you."

He gave the area around them a quick scan, not wanting any trouble for Jane. It was a nice day, there was no reason for her not to have a good one as long as he was around. The last person his eyes fell on was a well-dress teen heading in their general direction, likely just to passby. Just before Scott focused his attention on Jane though, he caught the icy stare from Man, and Becki thought he was on edge when around crowds. Looking at Jane again, he placed his hands in his pockets as if he had all the time in the world. His eyes had a hint of a smile to them as well. Despite how relaxed Scott looked, he was as a tense as a bow. The more the fellow got closer, the more on edge Scott became. Just what was it about him that grated Scott so?

To the casual eye, it seemed as if he was chillin'. Hopefully Jane wouldn't pick up on his tension. "So, are you here to compete Jane?" He asked her, not wanting to leave her alone until he knew if the green eye'd teen was trouble or not.

-------------------------------------------------------

Naku had readjusted herself into a meditating position. The idea was for it to relax her, but her mind was having trouble settling thanks to her own unease. Why was she here? Was she ready? Would she make her brother proud? Her mother? The pain of that remembrance was enough for Naku to focus on. By hanging on to that pain, she calmed her mind. Only a few things chimed in her mind.

"I am here to shatter boundaries, to gain experience and hone skills..." Naku said in a soft voice before repeating the same phrase. She was here to prove to herself that she could go above and beyond her expectations of herself. If she won, the money would go to helping others. None of it was hers, but the charities and organizations that aided others. Naku was fighting for peace and balance within herself for years. It was time to let that struggle out.

A series of pokes brought her attention to the real world. Her eyes opened to a finger poised in the middle of her forehead. Naku focused her eyes to see who it belonged to. Shock was evident in her eyes as she gazed upon her blond haired friend. "Chrys? What are you doing here?"

Persian blue eyes glanced down with darker blue ones following suit. Both pairs landed on a yellow yo-yo, still spinning on the ground despite standing still. By the time Naku looked up, Chrys was watching her with expectation. The taller girl stood up and to the side, letting the little yo-yo continue by itself to the tree trunk before going the other way. Chrys's eyes were glued to it as it, or, she..... they(?) walked/rolled away towards the crowd. Too confused, Naku just waved a slow good-bye. "I'll see you... later?"

Naku turned around to look at the spot the yo-yo had been, and found a pair of black gloves in its spot. Curiosity contended with confusion, creating a graceful storm of bewilderment in her eyes. She reached down for them. They looked really familiar. Slowly, she put them on and was pleased with how well they fit, and matched her outfit. She decided to take them to lost and found on her way to view the other matches. Heading towards the crowd , she never noticed the red-head poking from around the tree as she walked away. Becki stepped from around the tree. Her arms folded as she kicked one foot behind her other. Today, she had a feeling great things would happen for one reason or another.

OOC: Continued from the match 1 thread

IC:

Masafumi and Momoko where taken to the medic area our very special host was jumping all over the ring looking at some of the land marks that the two warriors had created. “It was out of this world don’t you think? Ja, Ja, Ja” she gestured her sister to come and she did whit a calm pace “Well Now little angle, look what they did to your ring” she said whit clearly false sadness, whit a sigh Lyn clapped her hands and the ring started to glow again all the damage of the ring started to heal one the ring was as good as new, she look at her sister whit a looked that said, please stop the drama.

Meanwhile, Kagaro would find that the bar was almost whit out employers, only a seven year old kid was attending the stand “Ok, here your beer, what? Scotch I think we still have a bottle” poor kid was going to go crazy, one he got most of his orders out of the way he directed his attention to Kagaro “Welcome to Darkwing Bar My name is Ken what can I serve you?”

Trish had return from her “walk” “I’m back Kenny take twenty, those fools won’t be coming around to bother us” the crowd calm down a little now that Trish had arrived “Ok I’ll say it once, if your drunk Leave, if you don’t have money leave, of you’re here to look at me be prepared to lose your manhood, if you look for trouble may gods sort you out after I finish whit you” whit that a big portion of the clientele left.

Back to the ring, “Ok where going to have a small five minute recess after that the next match begins, so take your chance to get food, drinks or what ever since you don’t want to miss this”

"Thank you my goddess. Though I go into battle without your blessing, your favor on my lips or cheek, I will return victorious, for your glory. To become worthy of your favor, your token." Oh Diyu, you just never learned did you. Did we ever want him to? Lets face it, we save millions on DVDs just by watching his antics. Could probably bottle it as his own zany series with a new team up every week. Diyu! The dumb and the bold! Could work. Someday, Le sigh.

So thusly did the iron fist of justice, the self proclaimed iron fist of justice we might add, leave the stands. Leave a man in grandest of drag to his own gains. Probably losing his beloved leather jacket. It was a hideous leather jacket really, but it was the boys and he thought it made him look good. Well, too bad it didn't. Maybe next time he'd learn from fashion advice. Though, why would he wear something good when he had to just take it off in a bit? Oh well. He had a fight to enter in a time bending future. AWAY!

Was she sorry she caused the boy to turn a peculiar shade of pink? Maybe just a little. She could sympathize now - of course after the fact, knowing it difficult to accept a compliment at times. She watched him out of the corner of her eye as he messed with his hair - he seemed like he was relaxing at least.

"So how about you? What are the things that you're best at?"

Laughing, Ally shook her head - the question was only fair. "Well," she said as she slid her hands down to grip the seat beneath her, leaning forward, "before I came to AHS I was on track to get a scholarship to Julliard - so I guess you could call me a music prodigy?"

It was a little awkward telling people that off the bat; sure if she got to know people it sometimes wasn't so surprising to them. If she heard a song once through she could probably play it, give her a few times to listen to it and she could tell you anything about it and replicate it perfectly. While the talent had been latent - she had worked long and hard to be good.

“Ok where going to have a small five minute recess after that the next match begins, so take your chance to get food, drinks or what ever since you don’t want to miss this”

Grasping the flower in one hand she reached up, stretching luxuriantly and then leaned back, looking at Kuvoc; she hadn't really just looked at him yet - she'd just sat down and struck up a random conversation, but now she really looked at his face, his unkempt hair, and folded her arms over her chest.

"Well that was pretty exciting - what do you think the next one will be like?"

---

"Thank you my goddess. Though I go into battle without your blessing, your favor on my lips or cheek, I will return victorious, for your glory. To become worthy of your favor, your token."

Shaking her head, she tilting the parasol back so that her face was kissed by sunlight. "Honey - you can thank me later," was all she said. While Kehai didn't really mind kissing random men, she at least liked for them to know what they were getting themselves into and if he was that clueless - well, she was not about to take advantage of him.

He turned and went his way, and Kehai progressed to her private box. She really doubted the others would make it - this was far too early to be up after the night they had last night....

"Well, before I came to AHS I was on track to get a scholarship to Julliard - so I guess you could call me a music prodigy?"

Kuvoc couldn't help but let a smile spread across his face. He didn't doubt for a moment that she was exceptional. Calling yourself a prodigy was no small thing, and Ally seemed far from the boastful type. He wanted to ask if she would let him listen to her sometime...that is, until his palms got all sweaty and his mouth dry. This was starting to get old. He had no reason to be embarrassed, and actually found that he was growing pretty comfortable. So why should it be such a big deal? He took a drink of lemonade to calm his nerves, only to be greeted with the sound of rattling ice. He was about to speak when suddenly a voice called out from the arena.

“Ok where going to have a small five minute recess after that the next match begins, so take your chance to get food, drinks or what ever since you don’t want to miss this”

He hadn't even noticed that the battle had finally ended. Looking over, he noticed that the boy had won the first bout, the one that was causing all the explosions. It had been a friendly fight, and both combatants still had a look of pride about them. He turned to Ally and met her eyes, another smile finding its way across his face. The fight had been exciting, but for some reason the whole tournament just didn't seem as interesting any more. It was a strange change, considering how pumped he had been for the tournament in the beginning, but he was just weird like that.

"Well that was pretty exciting - what do you think the next one will be like?"

Kuvoc considered the question a moment, rubbing his chin as he tried to think of a way to answer. "Ya, that first one was pretty great...I don't know, I think the next one will be a lot like it. Maybe it's just me..." He shrugged and looked a little sheepish, "I guess I just have gotten my fill of adrenaline pumping action for the day." He pulled on his shirt a bit as he was starting to get a little warm. Man, a milkshake would really hit the spot right now...but he also didn't want to suddenly get up and leave Ally. She was interesting, and he was genuinely having fun, even though all they had done so far was talk a little. Well...he could always ask her to come with. He didn't even give himself time to become tongue-tied as he suddenly blurted out, "Hey, do you want to come get a milkshake with me? I know there is a place in a mall not too far away, and for some reason it sounds really good right now." There. That wasn't so hard. In fact, why not just continue on. "And...sometime, I'd love to listen to your music..." He winced a bit before hastily adding, "I mean, if you don't mind or anything. It's cool if it's personal or something, I dunno." That part had been a little rougher.

"Ya, that first one was pretty great...I don't know, I think the next one will be a lot like it. Maybe it's just me..." He shrugged and looked a little sheepish, "I guess I just have gotten my fill of adrenaline pumping action for the day."

Ally nodded, casually picking up her flower and sniffing it before she twirled it, admiring the shape of the flower. She liked flowers; back home there had been a small plot of land set aside from the general play area that was for growing things and she'd spent many afternoons with the house mother, hands in the earth and putting seedlings and flowers in. Those were pleasant memories.

"Hey, do you want to come get a milkshake with me? I know there is a place in a mall not too far away, and for some reason it sounds really good right now."

Blinking she turned her head, tilting it and just sort of looked at him. It was a little out of left field but it wasn't weird at all. It was warm and the ice cream sounded like a good idea; she wasn't a huge fan of the whole violence thing either. It was still fun to think of this as her first experience, but the luster had waned....

"And...sometime, I'd love to listen to your music...I mean, if you don't mind or anything. It's cool if it's personal or something, I dunno."

Brightening up, she grinned at him and nodded, "I like that - yeah - lets do that," and something in the back of her mind tickled a piece of information loose, "Hey - and I think there's a music store - we could always go in there and I could play a little something."

((OOC: If anyone wants to RP with Kehai PM me, otherwise she's just watching the tourney))

As a professional criminal, Jane took pride in her ability to spot from the crowd various different kinds of crooks. From thugs, to con artists, even gangsters knew no mercy in Jane's trained eyes. While at one time, Jane may have enjoyed falling in with these crowds to compare notes and the like, a little something told her that in this form, it wouldn't have been such a grand idea. After all, Yukiko was most certainly dead, once you get your nose into the Yakuza the only way to pull out was to take a nice cool bath with a brand new pair of shoes.

Even with all that self imposed conditioning to remain in perfect control of whatever body the shape shifter currently inhabited, Jane still stiffened at the sight of Michael. Everything about this guy screamed gang banger, a rather well dressed young man, but gang banger non the less. His hand constantly fell back to reassure its owner that something important was still within arms reach. All the teenager's moves were read and immediately cataloged by the unstoppable juggernaut that were her eyes.

So many thoughts ran through her head. Were they supposed to know each other? Would he expect Jane to pick up where Yukina left off? Or... subconsciously Jane narrowed her eyes at the oncoming green-eyed beast, did he plan to freak out and expose the shape shifter as nothing more than a con artist. While being outed would be no big deal, just meant finding a new face, Jane had grown quite comfortable in the rather large mansion her 'mummy' provided. To protect her cushioned life, this was a man that needed to be avoided.

"My name is Scott. It's nice to meet you." Tarnation. Jane returned to the matter at hand. One of the very few weaknesses that Jane would ever admit too was her inability to juggle more than one person at a time. More than likely nothing important had transpired between the few seconds that Jane had spaced. Especially if they were still on the subject of formalities. Unless this was the kind of guy who jumped straight into a conversation and than introduced himself. With a very calculated move, Jane pushed a few stray locks behind her ear. Something that was becoming quite the habit.

"So, are you here to compete Jane?" Second time today someone asked her that. Either she gave off a vibe that the girl was some kind of rough and rowdy fighter, or there were some pretty power houses that attended the school.

"Oh!" Jane giggled a bit through her stone mask. "I'm afraid I'm not brave enough for something like that." A dainty hand covered her mouth to hide the fake smile that never even formed. "I wasn't gifted with those kind of powers... How about you? Did you come to fight or maybe you had some one you wanted to meet..."

As always her eyes tried to get the story written out as fast as possible to determine the next course of action. He was smiling but was becoming increasingly on edge. If this was because of Jane's reaction to the green-eyed man, she wasn't sure, best to see if there was some kind of story there though. "Is something wrong?" The shape shifter pretended to follow to young man's gaze and of course feigned that the only reason she had even become nervous was due to Scott's behavior.

Casually she slid behind Scott, not sure if a fight would break out or not. "Do you know him?"

ooc: Sorry about the lateness on this post, I tried getting in contact with Michael on if he wanted me to bring him deeper into our little game. Alas he is a tough guy to get ahold of!

when at first the doctors that were there wanted to do something about her burns..she was reluctant to let them even see it. But when it as a nurse who had volunteered to deal with the modest girl, she at least let her do it..and gained one of those spiffy white hospital shirts to wear, so she wasn't bare.

She got a sucker and a sticker too. where they kept them, she didn't know but obviously they carried them with, even if kids weren't expected to be treated today..and after all, she still looked like a kid.

Worried about his cute grand-daughter, Seto had found the infirmery. "momoko.." he said as he found her, she had a sticker on her arm and was sucking on a sucker. To see his cute little teenage granddaughter like this was sort of funny.. that was until he remembered that she got hurt kinda badly from the fight. "momoko..I'm sorry."

"it's ok grandpa Seto. I'm fine."

"you went through an explosion! Momoko, really..I shouldn't have put you through this without your permission"

"well, you have my forgiveness.."

Seyo smiled, his old eyes grateful eyes looked deep into her violet ones. "I would hug right right now but-"

'don't" she cut in, "I'm fine..but it still hurts"

Seto nodded, "I'd think you were crazy if it didn't. "

then they shared a laugh.

Call me cute again...

The two sisters where regaining lost time, it had been what? since they last saw each other a year? or two? they didn’t really took note, they just knew that they had failed to maintain communication and that there was so much time that they needed tp regain.

Lyn moved a lock of hair out of her face and behind her ear, it was quite interesting the difference the two had no one would say that they are sisters on the normal basis, in a soft tone that was clearly bathed in guilt Lyn asked "Sis, are you still angry at me?"

She took those words whit calm, as she examined her nails aww I ruin my nail she was calmed and it seem that she didn’t plan to answer "How can I be angry Lyn if I don’t even remember why we ended up fighting" she flashed a smile and took a look the audience, watching them move around.

"Oh, sorry to bring it up then" Lyn eyes drilled into a book that she had brought, trying to relieve the awkwardness of the situation.

"Look at the time I need to get this show back on track." She walked away from the Judge table and after a few steps she looked back. "Lyn, Thanks"

One at the middle of the ring she tapped her microphone "Is this thing working?” she took a deep breath and exclaimed “Hello!!!!!" afterward she let out a heartily laugh "Time to return to your seats!!!!" she started to wave to the audience as those who had left returned to there seats.

[Mach two officially began on this time line ]
