Blind… Date? Well it was strange that someone had signed him up for such happenings, but why did the note addressed to him state the name ‘Sam’? Was it a take off of the word Samurai? Most likely…. Anyway any person that would be partnered up with him couldn’t be too bad if they were both to report to a training facility like the Gym. The Bushido had gathered his training outfit and his wooden swords. Soon enough he had showed up at the roped off section of the Gym. He normally wouldn’t play along with a event such as dating… Relationships usually lead to owning a weakness. At his rate he really didn’t need any weakness, but he wasn’t to back out of something that had already been decided. Rumor stated that it was a race known as a Saiyan or something, but he knew of no race so simply shrugged it off as another rumor to catch him off guard. Soon enough he had sat down at the table of food and set his weapons down. Hopefully she would be nice, that is if it WAS a she… For all he knew they could’ve listed him as a homosexual, but he hoped not. That was the last thing he needed to happen. He looked around at the training pads and gave a flat sigh. Apparently dating meant they needed to fight… Was it proper to hit a girl? He lived to fight, but was trained never to hit a female… So if she tried to kill him would that make it right? The paradox reeked havoc on his mind, but soon enough was over it. All that was left was to see who this mysterious person would be.--sorry its so short.-- |

Blind Date; a social engagement between two persons who have not previously met, usually arranged by a mutual acquaintance. She had been told to become better acquainted with the customs and cultures of where she now resided. Quite frankly, there were still a lot of things that Vertigo didn't understand when it came to humans. They were quite the confusing and contradicting race. Things were far more complicated than they need to be, and there was such a variety of... well, everything! Sometimes, Vertigo wondered if she'd ever come to understand a quarter of human nature. Dating... it was such a strange concept. She had known that all life forms needed to reproduce in order to preserve their race. As a Saiyan, Vertigo understood exactly how Saiyans were to mate. They were to find the strongest of their kind in order to produce an offspring that would hold up to their family's legacy. So on and so forth; she didn't really care for the details much. When it came to this... dating thing, she just assumed it was some form of that. Kira, her friend's roommate, had spent nearly two hours explaining the process of this 'blind date.' To this day, Vertigo still didn't understand it. To be set up to meet a stranger... quite frankly, she didn't understand the dating part. Add another concept to that; she rubbed her temples. She had found the note after sparing a bit with Shiro. The woman was quite the sparing partner. Despite being physically weak, she had a unique ability that allowed her to react fast enough for Vertigo to work up a good sweat. Despite that Kira girl saying she wanted to give Vertigo a ... 'make over,' whatever the hell that was, for her... 'blind date,' Vertigo opted to simply follow the directions on the piece of paper. She had researched this... blind date thing online and found a variety of definitions, as well as some interesting websites, a lot of which involved humans attempting to reproduce. She wasn't dressed any differently than normal. Her excessively long black hair was tied back into a large ponytail, having been left like that since her session ended with Shiro. She was still clad in the custom made armor she used when she sparred against the hyperactive adrenaline junkie, and her tail casually swayed behind her. Unlike most Saiyans, she felt her tail had a mind of its own. Keeping it wrapped around her waist was usually done during training or fighting; otherwise, it swayed of its own accord. She didn't really want to do this; hell, she wasn't certain exactly what it was she was doing. Still, it was a social engagement; an experiment, if you will. She was, after all, sent here to learn more about Earthlings, their customs, and their way of life. She pushed the door to the gymnasium open to find someone sitting alone at a table near the center. The lights were dim inside, and an aroma of something warm and seemingly delicious passed by the nostrils of the thin, slender woman with an over sized appetite. Her eyes scanned about for a moment, attempting to sense out any others within the room, but found no one. Apparently, this man was her blind date. But enough of that, there were more important matters to attend to. The growl of her stomach protested any words that wanted to escape those thin lips, and instead, those lips flinched. Though mostly common for a Saiyan to have such a large appetite due to their high metabolism, she found that Earthlings did not intake such a great amount of food as her own race had. Thus, she had received several stares anytime she went out to eat. Nevertheless, after a workout, a proper meal was certainly in order. Thus, she casually made her way toward the table set for two, eying the man as though she were evaluating or judging him, then pulled the chair and sat down... |

Ah! A person had soon entered the roped off section of the gym suddenly which had garnered the Samurai's attention. Long black hair was the first feature he noted about her. The next was the tail; he had seen the nekojins before, but this tail seemed more of something you would find on a species of monkeys. Luckily as long as he'd been attending the school; this was in fact a minor feature for him. It seemed as if she were eyeing him. He had seen the look hundreds of times before this day. It was a look of judgment and a look of measurement; as if trying to figure out if he was worthy. The Samurai looked over her as well. She was indeed built as a fighter... That much would explain the gym being the location of their date. He fixated himself straight in his seat as she sat down as well. The smell of sweat was still lingering on her. Apparently she had already sparred some today. His fingers traced the sheath of the Katana he had laid down upon the bench nearest him. He was still new to this 'dating' concept. This silence however, was driving him to the point of insanity. "Hello... I'm supposing your my sparring partner slash blind date today?" He said casually as to break the ice and the tension. He leaned back and locked eyes with her; as if trying to sum up how much of a challenge she would be if they did fight. |

(OOC: Yay! Short post x.x) >>"Hello... I'm supposing your my sparring partner slash blind date today?"<< Sparring partner. Now, that sounded more Saiyan-like. A small smirk of both pleasure and confidence flashed across her features as she nodded her head. Though the thought of sparring did in fact spike her interest, she couldn't help but allow the aroma of a well cooked meal to pass her by. "Then let us eat first," Vertigo explained as she began to reach for the covered plates. She had just finished a sparring session, so her appetite was certainly craving energy. She pulled the lid open, revealing a steaming meal set before her. A look of disappointment flashed mildly, not due to the construct of the meal itself, but simply, the amount that had been prepared for them. Her bottomless pit of a stomach aside, she reached for the large piece of steak with a fork and knife, and began to eat. "My name is Vertigo," the dark haired woman explained before taking the first bite; savoring the flavor as her teeth easily chewed through the tougher part of the meat. With a reach of her hand, she grabbed onto the glass of water that had been placed next to her dish and took a sip. [color=green"I specialize in hand to hand combat, and chi manipulation."[/color] |
