The sounds of pin ball machines, race games, and the heavy techo beats of Dance Dance revolution along with cries of triumph and groans of defeat filtered through the large arcade in the mall. The man at the counter was well informed of the two coming and had unlimited coins for their amusement.

Lunch was provided at a small restaurant nearby. Two black cars went to go fetch the students.

Ally wasn't quite sure how she had wound up apart of the blind date fiasco, but she had a positive outlook. It was a fun time out with someone new and it could be fun - it was at an arcade!

She had gone out and splurged on a new dress; it was something comfortable and very laid back in a medium shade of purple. It had a rather unique silhouette in that the neck was a drawstring deep purple satin ribbon that tied over her left shoulder and draped down a few inches. It had a flattering cut, hugging her torsoe and flairing out in a semi-full skirt that came to her knees. Given that she is 5'9", and Ally had no idea who she was meeting, she'd selected a simple pair of black flats and a delicate silver necklace. She decided against carrying a purse with her and instead put her cell phone and wallet into her pockets and turned to face herself in the full length mirror that was almost lost midst her audio equipment.

The dress was simple, yet flattering. She slid her hands down over her hips, feeling the fabric against her soft palms. She'd contrived some sort of odd, twisted up hairstyle that had a slightly edgy appeal, gave her also the benefit of having her hair up and out of her face. She had opted for simplicity as far as the makeup went, having only a smokey eye and lashes and lip gloss. Giving the skirt a final tweak she spun around and headed out of the door.

Below was a black car that greeted her, the driver a smiling, polite person who saw her in the car and on their way...

Alex was on the computer playing one of his favorite games, as usual, when the new e-mail message popped up. He quickly paused the game and opened his e-mail to read what it said. He nearly passed out when he read it. Apparently, he had been signed up for a blind date and it was this afternoon. Alex quickly read the details, reading that it would be at the arcade and he wouldn't know who his date was until he got there. He started panicking as he ran around his room, trying to find something to wear. Eventually, he forced himself to calm down and think.

He went over to his closet and started to look at what he had. No suits, but he did have some semi-formal clothes his parents had forced him to take along with him. He pulled out a pair of blue slacks and quickly pulled them on. He then grabbed a striped, long sleaved, light blue full button up shirt and threw it on over the white t-shirt he was already wearing. He buttoned up the shirt, leaving the top button unbuttoned and quickly tucked it in. He put on a pair of black dress socks as well as some black dress shoes. He then went into the bathroom to make sure his hair didn't look extremely messy. Satisfied he didn't look like a total geek, he ran back to his room to double check the time on the e-mail. The car would be there to pick him up in about five minutes. Alex quickly saved his game and shut down his internet, just in case Ghost wanted to try something, and made his way downstairs. As soon as the car arrived, Alex climbed in and attempted to prepare himself for whoever he might meet when he arrived.

Ally stepped out of the car, thanking the man who had driven her and was told to check in at the counter. Waving before she shut the door behind her she paused outside to look around; she hadn't been to this area yet and was interested in everything she saw, but the sounds inside pulled at her. As a child growing up in suburbs and intercity New York arcades had been a plesant past time when you could get the money. She wasn't great at anything here - lacking practice - but she was up for something new!

Approaching the counter she introduced herself and met wtih a cheery personality that told her she was the first to arrive. After exchanging a few plesantries Ally politely stepped off to one side, leaning against the glass casement of prizes and pulled out her cell phone for lack of anything better to do and aimlessly began searching the menue. The whole thing was new to her and she still found herself fascinated by just poking around and seeing what there was to do on a phone.

She was actually looking forward to this, it looked promising. Afterall, how hard could it be to have fun with someone when you could play all the different games? It was like the perfect excuse to be silly and laugh, and a great way to releave the pent up stress she'd been feeling as of late.

The car that brought Alex pulled up to the arcade and the driver let Alex out. He walked up to the Arcade and looked around. This place was like heaven to him. He never got a chance to go to the Arcade back in New York, so he was overjoyed to be here. Who knows, this may be a good thing after all. He started looking around to see if he could spot the girl he got paired up with. There was a large crowd of people, so it was hard to tell if anyone was there for a date as well.

After he had scanned the crowd, Alex walked up to the counter and introduced himself, explaining why he was here and asked if anyone else had shown up for the same reason. The guy behind the counter pointed to a girl leaning against the prize area. Alex was amazed at who he had been paired up with. He almost couldn't believe his eyes. For about a split second he thought that someone was playing a prank on him, that there was no way he would get paired up with a girl that looked that amazing. That thought passed quickly, remembering that the system paired everyone up randomly, and Alex approached the girl. At about 5' 6", Alex felt awkward talking to someone, let alone a girl, that was taller than him. Mustering up his courage, Alex introduced himself. "Hi, I'm Alex. I believe you're my date AHS, am I right?"

((OOC: OMG I totally had this all typed up earlier and hit the backspace button and lost it all, sooo....I had to wait my frustration out. Also, I'm going to assume the attendant here...tell me to edit if I need to!))

"Hi, I'm Alex. I believe you're my date AHS, am I right?"

The voice startled her from her pointless poking at the phone. Looking up, her large dark eyes blinking as she processed what he'd just said. Japanese was not her first language so sometimes she had to remind herself what it was she was supposed to be paying attention to - but it finally sunk in. A broad, dazzling smile breaking out over her face she shoved the phone in her pocket and stood up straight, facing her date.

"Hi Alex," she was full of cheer and completely ready to have a fun date, despite the odd circumstances surrounding it. Holding out her right hand she always had a wave of nervousness; seeing as she was a musician her hands, particularly her left, were calloused. She'd used lotion several times on them before leaving her room, but it was always a point of consciousness when meeting new people. Of course other musicians understood and it was often interesting to gauge a persons proficiency and average playing by their callouses, she doubted Alex was of that cast of creature. "I'm Ally."

The arcade attendant came over to the counter at that point, alleviating any possible awkward moment of not knowing what was next and presented them with the arcade tokens, little coins, and told them to have fun and enjoy themselves. Turning to Alex, holding up a singular coin she smiled, "Well - what should we play first?

Alex was just about to shake Ally's hand when the arcade worker brought them their coins. As soon as they had received their coins, Ally held one up and asked which game they should play. Alex scanned the arcade, looking at the different types of games in the room. All of which he could easily rig, though doing so would be cheap and he did not want to deal with accidentally being caught using his powers. He tried to find one that they could both play and came up with about three solutions: a shooting game, a racing game, and a dancing game. Not knowing much of anything about Ally, he decided to leave it up to her which one to play. "There are about three different games we can play together: the shooter, racing, and dancing ones. Which one would you prefer?"

Glancing around quickly her eyes returned to that of her date who seemed to be considering something, so she waited patiently for him to speak before saying anything herself.

"There are about three different games we can play together: the shooter, racing, and dancing ones. Which one would you prefer?"

"Hmm," tossing the bag between her two hands, she had a feeling she was about to be shown up rather well. She was passable, but not very good at video games in general; they required money - something that had not been all that readily available in life until recently.

"Want to start with the shooter ones first?" Really she was game for anything, so long as she could have fun, and he knew how to laugh. That was all she required to have a good time!
