Spring had finally arrived. The flowers were blooming and young creatures were being brought into the world. It was peaceful and full of new beginnings. A soft breeze blew through the area sending the scent of the flowers through the area.

A young woman sat under a cherry blosson tree. Her eyes were closed and ear phones were in her ears. She wore jeans and a white tank top. Usually on days like this, she would be practicing but today she wasn't. Well she couldn't really. She had just arrived back from a trip with her twin and friend and her twin's fiance. During that time they had a ball and a fight. Some guy had tried to kill her twin, who was a pacifist.

While protecting her twin, she had been stabbed in the side. It was still healing. It didn't hurt much anymore but if she did anything major she could tear it...again. WHile there, she had fought a werewolf and her side had ripped open. Painful? Very. Luckily her mother was there too and could fix her since she was a doctor.

Stella Nuloa always seemed to get into trouble when she didn't need it, mainly because she could be hot headed and rash. Today she was just bobbing her head to the music that was playing. Her mind was going to several gymnastic moves that she coujld put with the music. This brown haired and midnight blue eyed maiden was a aspiring gymnast. She had won many awards at her old school and was involved with the gymnastics team in the city. It was her life.

"It's beautiful..." Jennifer said to herself as she made her way through the school garden, marveling at the sight of cherry trees in bloom. The lavender-haired girl strolled through the garden, dressed in a light blue long-sleeved button-up shirt, dark blue jeans and red Converse sneakers - the front of her shirt was left unbuttoned, revealing the yellow T-shirt she wore underneath. As was usual with her, Jen had a backpack slung over her left shoulder, holding her usual books and PSP. On this particular day she choose to wear her hair down, and as the gentle breeze blew her light purple locks billowed in the wind.

Jennifer hummed softly to the song currently being played on her IPod, Away From The Sun, the self-titled song in the 3rd album of the American alternative rock band, 3 Doors Down. The subdued feeling of the song's melody felt quite right with the vibes the peaceful environment of the garden gave her.

Oh hello there... Jen thought as she caught sight of a brown-haired girl in jeans and a white tank top sitting under a sakura tree, who appeared to be listening to music as well, judging from the way she was bobbing her head. Jennifer removed the earpieces from her IPod as she approached this other girl. "Hello there," Jen spoke in her polite and friendly tone, with her ever-present smile. "So I see there's someone else enjoying the scenery here too... it sure is nice over here isn't it?" Jen's smile widened a little.

Stella opened her eyes and looked at the girl. She seemed new and in a good mood. It reminded her of most or the people here. A lot of students were happy and friendly.

"Hello," she said.

She removed a ear piece and tucked it in her shirt. It wasn't a day to be a smartass sp she decided to be nice. She sat up and looked at the girl. Despite the pain in her side, she didn't wince.

"It's a very nice day out to be outside. The garden is always pretty during the spring time," she told Jennifer.

"Hello," the other girl replied, bringing a smile to Jennifer's lips. Stella removed one of her earpieces and tucked it in her shirt, sitting up to look at Jennifer. "It's a very nice day out to be outside. The garden is always pretty during the spring time," Stella added, to which Jennifer nodded in agreement.

"So... you're a student of AHS too?" Jennifer asked. "My name is Chase. Jennifer Chase," the lavender-haired girl introduced herself.

"But normally, people just call me Jen," Jennifer added, her smile not fading as she looked at Stella.

"I've been here for little of a year and a half now," she informed the new girl.

She pulled her legs to her so she was now sitting indian style. It pulled lightly on her side and she ignored it. Instead she studied the girl and tried to figure out how well she'd like the girl.

"The name is Stella Nuloa. If you see a girl walking around here that looks like me but with midnight blue hair, that'll be my twin," Stella said.

"I've been here for little of a year and a half now," Stella replied as she pulled her legs together, assuming the seating style of an Indian mystic. Deciding that it was rather awkward to have to look downwards while speaking to another, Jennifer also sat down on the grass, such that they drew eye level with each other.

"The name is Stella Nuloa. If you see a girl walking around here that looks like me but with midnight blue hair, that'll be my twin," Stella replied.

"I see," Jennifer replied, nodding slightly. "Well met, Stella," Jennifer added. "I was only just enrolled here - my father was transferred to the Japanese branch of his company, and that's how I came to be here."

"Well that sounds nice. My parents sent me here a few years after coming into my powers. They decided that AHS would help me become stronger and use them more efficently. So far, they were right," Stella said.

Her parents weren't rich but they certainly weren't poor. They were just average middle class. Even if they were in the higher section of that class. Her twin was rich. Her millionaire parents had sent her to the school shortly after discovering hers.

"So, what are you capable of?" Jennifer asked, curious as to what kind of special ability Stella might have, wanting to know a bit more about the other girl, and was beginning to find their exchange of background information interesting.

"I'm capable of doing a lot physically. As for my power, it it all depends on the time," she said and opened her hands. "It's a very bright and sunny power."

A small orb that looked like the sun above appeared in her hands. This one was a little bigger then a softball. She smiled as a dozen more appeared sporatically around them. When she arrive she could only make a few and now she could fill this place with the without causing too great of a strain. They were radiating a little bit of heat but not much. If someone other then Stella touched them, they may get burned.'

"And yours would be?"

"I'm capable of doing a lot physically. As for my power, it it all depends on the time," Stella replied as she opened her hands. "It's a very bright and sunny power," she continued.

"Wow..." Jennifer gasped in amazement as an orb of radiant energy - slightly bigger than a softball in size - formed in her hands, glowing like a tiny sun. Stella smiled as a dozen more appeared in midair - judging from the warmth emitted by these spherical constructs of energy, Jennifer deduced that they produced enough heat to burn whatever touches them, unless they are protected from heat. "Beautiful..." Jennifer commented on the light show that unraveled before her eyes.

"And yours would be?"

"Ah," Jennifer scratched her head slightly. "Well, I'm not sure if that counts as a special ability, but my ability to absorb and retain knowledge is phenomenally higher than a normal person's. I can read through books and other knowledge articles at great speeds and recall their contents with near-perfect clarity. This gives me the ability to learn at astronomical rates."

To demonstrate, Jennifer removed her Ipod from her pocket and threw the device to the ground, causing it to break apart. "Now watch," Jennifer said with a smile as she gathered the Ipod parts scattered on the floor, putting them back together in a matter of minutes, which was back in working condition as she used it to play one of the songs on her playlist, Losing My Religion by R.E.M.

"Well that's really cool," Stella said with a smile. "It must be really easy to learn. You probably could use that to do much more then recall information."

She shrugged. Each person chose how to use their powers. The suns that were floating disappeared but the one in her hand stayed there. Tossing it up, she added a little spin to it and landed it on her finger where is spun.

"Well that's really cool," Stella replied, a smile on her face. "It must be really easy to learn. You probably could use that to do much more then recall information." Jennifer nodded at what Stella said about her ability, watching as the floating orbs fizzled out, although the larger one still remained in the brown-haired girl's hand, which Stella gave a toss, sending it upwards and landing on her finger in a spin, like a basketball.

"You're right about that," Jennifer replied, taking a deep breath. "It's kind of scary though, when you learn how things come together you know just how easy it is to take them apart." The American girl was making a veiled reference to how easy it was for her to apply her knowledge on how schematics and anatomy, which can be used to heal as well as injure.

"It's a little frightening when you have that knowledge on how fragile the world around you is..." Jennifer's voice trailed off as she reached for a fallen twig that was about twice the thickness of a pencil, pinching the tree limb between her thumb, index and middle fingers. Jennifer had picked it up along where she had sensed a line of weakness, a structural defect in the object. Without exerting even the least bit of effort, the twig snapped cleanly in two. "But it is with this knowledge that I realize how valuable life really is."

"Thats always a good thing to know. Many people should realize how valuable life is," Stella said with hints of anger in her voice. "Once they realized it, maybe we wouldn't have so many wars or the thought to kill. Or maybe the thought of breaking something fragile gives people a sick thrill. Then again, when you know the breaking point, you can recreate what has been broken into something you want."

Lately it seemed like causing pain created a thrill in the people doing it. She had seen the damage it does to people. Her own sister and friend had been and may still be targets for people who want to break fragile lives. Adrianna had tried to be broke so they could mold her into a soldier to kill. Luna was a weak point and a strong point all at once. She didn't fight but could bring peace. Stella and Adrianna believed that she could do a lot of things in the world.

Jennifer nodded in response, "That is true... knowing how things fall apart also makes it easier for one to put it back together. Although not everything can be put back together like this Ipod here." The thought of it was rather unsettling, it only takes seconds to destroy what takes months or even years to grow and nuture. "At least I know that with these hands of mine, I can lessen the amount of suffering in this world."

"Anyone can lessen the suffering of the world if they put their mind to it," Stella said. "All it take is a gentle heart and fierce determination."

She leaned back against the tree and looked at the sky. The bright sky softened the midnight blue color of her eyes. It wasn't as piercing as it normally was.

"Gentle hearts can be targeted because they can be the biggest defense against darkness. There's always a pure light of hope in their eyes," Stella said. She had seen it in a few people's eyes. A gentle heart that could go far in life.

"Indeed," Jennifer replied, picking up a sakura blossom from the ground. As the breeze blew, the lavender-haired girl let go, watching the sakura blossom drift in the wind.

"Gentle hearts can be targeted because they can be the biggest defense against darkness. There's always a pure light of hope in their eyes," Stella added.

"Hope is a beautiful thing," Jennifer replied. Despite all evidence to the contrary, the belief that things can be changed is often a powerful driving force. The foundation of all human strength, but yet at the same time the source of all human weakness.

"You and Luna would get along perfect," Stella said studying the girl.

Stella got along better with boys then girls. Then again she was raised with three boys and acted like a boy at times. She was fiercely protective of her family and had a nasty bite when provoked.

"Adrianna would prpbably want to adopt you as well as a little sister considering she is slowly creating a family from the people she meets here."

"You and Luna would get along perfect," Jennifer smiled warmly at Stella's comment; it always makes her glad to learn that there are people that she would be compatible with.

"Oh? I think I'd love to meet her," Jennifer said happily with regards to Stella's twin, Luna.

"Adrianna would probably want to adopt you as well as a little sister considering she is slowly creating a family from the people she meets here," Stella added, prompting a giggle from Jennifer in response.

"That would be sweet," the lavender-haired girl replied. "Being the only child in the family I've never known what having siblings is like..." As far as her family was concerned, it was only Jennifer, her mother and her father. Well, more often just Jennifer alone, really - given how busy her parents tend to be with their careers she has never really gotten to spend much time with them.

"I never got a chance to be a only child. Despite meeting my twin when I got here, I was raised with three older brothers. Luna and Adrianna were raised as only children," she said. "I would like the privacy of a only child sometimes."

She was raised with three older brothers that constantly annoyed her. They were always fighting and bein mean to one another. It was a funny site to see all three boys being chased around by a six year old girl when a mean temper. Luna was raised like a princess and Adrianna had a horrible childhood seeing as she was turned into a project after her mother died.

"Well, I guess the grass is greener on the other side," Jennifer replied, giggling slightly. On one hand she wished she had siblings, and on the other side of the fence was Stella, who wished she was an only child.

"So Stella," Jennifer asked. "What kind of hobbies do you like?"

"My hobbies?" she repeated and chuckled. "I have many gold medals in gymnastics. I'm almost a black belt in karate. I don't choose to sing. It's apart of my genes. I fight with daggers and swords."

She relaxed against the tree and shut her eyes. Her hands drifted to her sides and touched it tenderly.

"What are your hobbies, Jen?' she asked the other girl.

"Wow, that's a pretty active lifestyle," Jennifer commented, leaning back and resting her back against the Sakura tree.

"What are your hobbies, Jen?"

"Me?" Jennifer looked up for a while. "I read in my spare time; I enjoy the pursuit of knowledge and enjoy enlightening myself. Although I do enjoy some manga and sci-fi novels from time to time as well - I like whatever gives me a challenge, such as playing video games, solving puzzles or playing chess. I also enjoy a good jog or game of tennis from time to time as well."

"Sounds kind of... boring. No offense. I'm not use to reading. I guess you can say I can't sit still for a few minutes. I find it hard to learn in school because I learn by doing and exploring," she said.

"Maybe you should try mastering a waltz. It's complex but simple once you know it."

"And none taken..." she replied cheerfully. "Although there's the thing with being able to absorb and retain information from entire volumes, you soon find yourself at a shortage over new stuff to learn." As she spoke, the lavender haired girl wondered if she could find any technical manuals that could teach her how to pilot a gunship or something, or perhaps some esoteric martial arts knowledge like striking of acupoints and such.

"Maybe you should try mastering a waltz. It's complex but simple once you know it."

"Hmmm..." Jennifer rubbed her chin thoughtfully. "If there's anything I thought I couldn't master by simply reading it off the pages of a book or manual, I'm guessing it has to be dancing. Hey, that sounds like a challenge I'm liking already!"

Stella chuckled. Jen was enthusiastic about learning to dance. The complete opposite of Stella. Luna had made her learn so she would dance at the parties, Luna's parents threw.

"You bring the will to dance, I can bring the teacher. She'd be delighted to teach you. She taught her fiance and my boyfriend, wherever he may be at right now," she said with a smile.

She truly didn't know where her boyfriend was. The last time she had seen him was at Tokyo Tower a month ago. She didn't show that it bothered her a lot but t did. After a month of not talking, one tends to make up things and cause fear.

"Hey, that's great!" Jennifer replied. "I don't suppose we could stay in contact then?" the lavender-haired girl glanced briefly at her wrist watch. "It was nice knowing you, but I think there's still something I need to handle around here... so, I hope we meet again." A smile of radiance dawned on Jennifer's face as she got onto her feet.

"Nice meeting you as well," Stella said as the girl go to her feet. "Wouldn't you like my cell or vice versa?"

It seemed to be the only way to get ahold of Stella anymore. She always had her cell on her and would always answer it. it was like a life line to her.

"That way I can call you and see when's convinent for you to learn."

"Nice meeting you as well," Jennifer heard Stella say when she got onto her feet. "Wouldn't you like my cell or vice versa?" The lavender-haired girl nodded at Stella's offer.

"That would be nice," Jennifer replied as she reached into her pocket and fished out her cellphone, showing a contact information screen. "Well Stella, here's my number," the lavender-haired girl nodded. "Maybe you could give it a call." In this way, Jennifer would be able to save down Stella's number.

"Yes," Stella said.

She copied down the information and saved it. Luna would want it as well after meeting her. Stella found Jen's name in her contacts and dialed it. As soon as Jen's cell started ringing, Stella closed her cell.

"There you go. I'll let you know when she's able to teach you," Stella said with a smile.
