I GoT BLiStERS On MY FinGERS!

There was a cry that seemed to emanate from above the campus. It echoed resiliently across the buildings, and out over the rooftops. A couple of birds broke out over the landings and from the branches of trees. The cry came again, scratching against the night, the moon, the clouds that seemed to hold it gingerly aloft over the countryside. Suddenly there was a burst of glass as Raelin came flying out the third story window of the laboratories, over the tops of cherry trees and into a fountain. A panda bear stood at the remnants of the window, teeth bared, no bamboo would subdue this beast. It was hungry for meat.

The panda came barreling down through the open gash of the building, blindly barreling towards the ground. It was followed by three more, then four more. It was a riot of Panda Bears, all bred for aggressiveness, rage, the ability to defend itself.

It was a genius idea really, the way Raelin saw it. There was no better way to protect panda bears than making them able to protect themselves. Make them a force to be dealt with, allow them to form great armies and create a prosperous and grand empire! So she set about doing it, naturally, using various books on breeding, and other assorted chemicals.

But she never wanted them to get smart, and this what was happening. They broke out of their cages, and they wanted to begin now. Start the revolution, kill all humans. They were angry pandas, very angry. Raelin had tried to defend herself with a baseball bat, but they had already gotten the drop on her, there was no escape but through the window. And as she stood up now, she looked across the shambling creatures in the darkness. She patted her hand with the bat momentarily, weighing up the opportunities.

It was the beginning of another student and their first day on campus. If one were to talk to all the other students, must would tell of some weird or odd story about something crazy that had happened to them within their first week of this school. And today, Jazz would be getting her story. She had come into Japan from Korea by plane and had arrived at the school two days ago. Her first two days were rather boring and just involved moving in and getting a small tour of the campus. She mostly stayed to herself to get settled and now that that was done with, she was ready to play around with the masses of the campus. Of course, this manipulative woman saw the students as nothing more than pawns because she had yet to see them do anything amazing. Sure, a few people could flick fire and others could breathe underwater, but it wasn't anything too amazing.

That was, until a girl was flung out of a window and into the fountain in the courtyard. Jazz's eyes widened at the thought of some powerful figure doing such a thing and was quick to see its source. Arriving to the courtyard like many other students, Jazz bore witness to eight panda bear not in their usual sloth-like state. In fact, they were angry and blood thirsty from the looks of it. In Jazz's eyes, it was absolutely perfect. She would never get a better chance at trying to see if she was more powerful than one of the many animals out there that could easily kill her. The need to measure herself up to such a creature was boiling up inside of Jazz and caused her to be one of the few students that stepped forward to face the disgruntled panda bears.

But, of course, she didn't just run in and start fighting. Jazz was a mage, but a fighter and her work would be done from a distance. And so, after she had removed herself from the crowd, Jazz clenched her hand into a fist. "Umbra Orbis." She said as she opened her fist to reveal three small black orbs. She took one in-between her thumb and index finger and lobbed it at the lead bear, walking to take on what she assume was their leader. And moments after throwing the first orb, she threw the next two, aim for each of the panda's back legs.

The ball within the yellow spray can rattled against its containment loudly before being put to use. With the slightest agitation of its head, the canteen emitted the bright liquid it failed to protect. In its disapproval, the spray can hissed, but the cry fell to deaf ears; or rather occupied ears. Clapped upon culprit's ears were none other than earphones.

Ines' fidgeted in an awkward dance to the beat of her music. Anyone who was close enough to hear would have noticed that her movements didn't fit the style of the music either. But of course, since she was here that obviously meant no one was around. After all, rebel artists such as herself didn't write upon the walls in public.

Ines' arm arced in conjunction to her masterpiece. She was oblivious to shattering windows giving way to a flying body. She also didn't hear the splash from the frantic fountain. But from the corner of her eyes, she did she something...peculiar.

Trotting out of the building was a group of panda. She might have been compelled to pet them but these panda didn't seem all to friendly. Actually, they looked like they were hungry. Perhaps, Ines decided, she would finish her art later.

Unfortunately Ines didn't have the opportunity to sneak away. Some idiot decided they wanted to test the animals' temper. With a heavy sigh, Ines slid the earphones from her ears with her free hand and turned off her ipod.

Free from distraction, she looked around to better assess the situation. First target was a girl with a bat, and she was dripping wet. It wasn't hard to gather that she'd had a little dip in the fountain. Frankly, Ines didn't mind the...view-but nevermind that. Not too far from the bat girl was another. And she was a dark and foreboding creature.

And it was this creature that Ines had labeled 'the idiot'.

"Brilliant plan, genius. Let's make the hungry bears cranky too."

"They're already rather pissed, dear." Raelin called back from the fountain to the young girl who had approached. The water drizzled down her back and from her hair. Her jeans clung tightly to her legs as she stepped out of the fountain, slight trickles of water pouring off from the cuffs. Her eyes closed in annoyance at her situation, soaking wet and forced to battle a pack of bears.

"Unfortunately they're also an endangered species," she called off to the girl who prepared to attack them, "So keep that in mind."

There was another sigh that came out of her chest, her orangish plaid shirt with pearl-esque buttons, tightening with the escape of air, clinging across her body. She rolled the baseball bat back onto her shoulder, before dropping it from there again. She wasn't sure if she'd be able to make it through this, but hell, buy the ticket take the ride. Breaking into a slow trot with her hand choked up tightly on the bat, arm spread back so the bat came across the body horizontally behind her, she came upon another bear that had lumbered behind a bush.

With a wide arc, she came swinging at the head of the big, dumb, angry beast, hoping to knock it out. There was a hollow *thok* as the bear moaned and slumped to the ground, still breathing, yet incapacitated.

Jazz glanced back as she was warned to be careful because they were an endangered species. She shook her head and smirked. "If they aren't strong enough to keep me, they don't deserve to live." She said as bear she had attacked before charged for her with its pained legs. Holding her hand forward as if she was about to grab something, Jazz summoned an all white glowing spear. "Lucidus Telum." With that, she made a hop backwards to give her time to throw the thing. And then, with a toss, she aimed if straight for the area between the bear's eyes.

However, her toss was interrupted one of the random students that had joined the fight pushed her, making her miss. "We aren't killing them!" He yelled at her. Jazz looked at the boy angrily and then got up, grabbing him by his collar. "Don't get in my way again!" She said, pulling on his collar and lugging him toward the charging bear. "Umbra Orbis!" She said again, summoning three dark balls into her hand and then tossing one of them in the direction of the boy and the bear. Whether one of them was hit, it didn’t matter because they both deserved the pain.
