At a certain time at night the streets are normally empty, in areas away from the clubs and bars where congregations of people stay the streetlamps were out as they were no longer needed. No cars drove up and down these roads, and nobody walked across the pavements, everything was completely and utterly peaceful. Except for one building. One building was different from the rest, the door was completely shattered, the wood ripped apart from the frame and left scattered across the pavement. It was an office building, the type with a small average seeming doorway leading into a quant little lobby with a few chairs and necessities. This office building was at least five stories high, much taller than the surrounding buildings and it was upon the fifth floor which was the most important, at least to Jarreth it was. The first few floors contained offices, computers, filing cabinets, fax machines, photocopiers and all the sorts of equipment you’d expect to find inside a building. On the fifth floor however was where the hard data storage was kept, sealed safes filled with printed files and papers, all the little secrets where only those of the highest clearance were allowed to enter. Jarreth was dressed completely from head to toe in black, his self made sneaking suit had been adapted to look somewhat different to the one he had made for the martial arts tournament. Now it was long sleeved, sleeves that connected to a pair of thick gloves which unfortunately made it quite difficult to handle delicate objects yet were essential for his cause. Around his head he wore a black balaclava which had the top opened up to allow his thick black hair to spread out, this was attached by another black item of clothing, a bandana, which was wrapped around the boys head. Currently Jarreth was searching through another series of files though he eventually came across a single item in which he needed, a brown paper envelope with a few words printed across the top. This was it, with swift haste he folded the envelope up and placed it into his pocket, which he zipped up afterwards. Now all he needed was to enact the second half of his plan. For a moment he wondered why he was even here, it had just been a passing rumour that the information he was after was kept within this building however he had jumped at the chance to obtain it in a heartbeat, without any further research. It had however been a worthwhile risk, but only by a thin slither of a chance. What if it hadn’t been here? He would have risked criminal charges and for nothing, then all of this research would have been for nothing. Now however he had a reason to get away with this, nothing was going to stop him at this point, he hoped. |

The silence of the night was the only thing that comforted her, a broken jigsaw puzzle that was her, so many pieces missing so many pieces that needed to be reinserted. The silence calmed the screams of he heart, the screams of her memories, she could drown them away in the smells of old oak and burning, yet pleasant sensation running down her throat, but she had other things to do. Most girls her age would be in there houses sleeping, others snuggling whit there boyfriends or doing things along those lines. Jo was strolling through the streets, her tan coat fluttering in the air, Bingo!, I think we have a keeper the shattered wood was enough of an indication that some one forced himself in, the questions where if they where still there and if it was one or many. I don’t hear any alarms, maybe there the silent type she slowly walked in and looked around “There” she saw one of the alarm mechanism, she walked toward it and let a spark jump form her fingers burning the circuit “I love how easy it is to kill of an alarm” She continued through the building slowly, when she needed light she would make a small ark or electricity between her fingers to illuminate the area. “ Need to keep an eye for struggle” |

Now that he had the envelope it was time to leave, Jarreth stepped up away from the safe and turned towards the door which he walked out of with haste. The door itself was shattered, broken down from where he had rolled a heavy desk into it, leaving the door and desk in splinters. The boy stepped out into the corridor and faced to his right, in front of him through the darkness was an elevator leading downwards however something caused him to stop dead in his tracks. Something was flickering with an oddly unknown light, a very strange flicker at that. The door leading to the stairwell next to the elevator was ajar, from down the stairwell he could see the lower floors lighting up and then instantly becoming dark once again. It seemed Jarreth finally had guests, he did wonder how long it would take for someone to turn up, no matter, this was a problem could easily be solved. A miniscule slither of a smile spread across the corner of the boys lip, this was becoming interesting. Very calmly Jarreth pushed open the door to the stairwell and began walking down the tiled steps towards the lower floors, his feet knocked against the tiles creating loud echoing footsteps echoing down across the room to each and every floor. This didn’t matter to the boy however, at this point hiding his presence was not his biggest concern at the moment, it was quite obvious that someone was inside the building and therefore whoever had entered would be looking for an intruder. Jarreth was simply giving whoever had decided to enter the building their answer. He continued down the steps, reaching the forth floor and starting to walk down to the third without a single moment for hesitation, he never hurried up, kept walking at the same calm pace. His now emotionless and cold face hidden behind the black veil that he had cast across his body. |

The search was being slow and fruitless she was still in the first floor when she heard it, the echoes of steps it was at a distance, but she could hear them at the moment it seem that only one person was around, that was enough of an incentive for her to continue her search. She headed toward the stairs and started to run up, thought boots are not stealthy so a good amount of sound was produced. I need to get to him fast, if he hears me just like I heard him he will have enough time to hide or plan something she was really regretting not having her sisters gun whit her. She cut off the spark which at the time cut off the light she was creating. A grin adorned he face, the chase had begun hopefully she was the hunter and not the prey. |

The sound of footsteps, fast impatient footsteps, rushing up the stairs underneath him. His next movement had to be quick and enacted swiftly unless he risked being caught off guard. Luckily enough however he was where he needed to be at this time. Jarreth placed his gloved hand upon the door next to him and pushed it open, the door to the third floor. Beneath him he could see the person who was rushing up to meet him, she’d see him walk through the door or at very least see the door swing close and hear it shut, but that did not matter now. The boy walked through the door into the corridor on the other side, it was a long corridor with many doors running down on either side leading to large open offices for the higher ups of this business. A hiding place could be found easily in any one of these offices, but that would be too obvious, far, far too obvious. Instead Jarreth walked a few spaced forwards, his feet rotated across the ground as he slid himself completely around in a full one hundred and eighty degrees to face the door he had just walked through. While he turned around however he had activated his invisibility ability, leaving himself completely hidden from view. Very steadily and carefully the boy took one last breath inwards, and held it, staying completely motionless and utterly silent to the best of his abilities. He was now hidden perfectly in plain sight through the very door he had just walked through a moment earlier. His eyes focused very steadily upon the door in front of him, watching the small window in its surface and the stairwell behind it. Waiting, waiting for the person who was following him to show his face, and walk through, |

Swift, yet trying to maintain her self silent and in the shadows, her assent was steady, she saw the last glimpse of the door closing. hold your horses girl she slowed down as she got close to the door, for the second time tonight she was angry that she didn’t have a gun. Her hand slowly pushed the door open as she slid quietly into the room, Dam, just what I needed a hall full of doors her steps slow, she looked all over trying to pin point anything a shadow, an open door, papers on the floor anything, but it seem that the person was not new at the game of stealth. Slowly she tap into her reserves keeping them at reach. |

There she was, she poked her head through that door and glanced around in in a futile attempt to try and locate Jarreth. Little did she know that the intruder she searched for was however now only a few inches in front of her face. Nobody could, Jarreth’s abilities to hide himself surpassed only a few in this world, this girl surely was not one of those people. Now all he did was stare back at her, curiously tilting his head to one side to look at her from another angle. He hadn’t expected a girl, however it didn’t matter to him, not in the slightest. She was here, and unfortunately, she had to fall. Gender did not mean a thing to Jarreth, he saw people as people, and people existed solely for him to use to his advantage to gain what it was he wanted. Entertainment, a scapegoat, educational advice, protection, all of his contacts with people had been simply for his own needs, but to him, there was no other way. Suddenly with abruptly unexpected speed, the boy shot his head forwards, slamming the centre of forehead directly into the bridge of the girls nose with as much sheer force as he could possibly manage. Aiming to break her nose with one swift blow and drastically limiting her abilities of sight, balance and perception in the process. It was a cruel, yet effective technique. His long black bandana following the curved motion of his head in the process, tailing him silently in the air. |

Nothing, there was nothing. How did he disappear that easily was beyond her comprehension, the energy build up inside her ready to lash out when ever she needed. The silence of the night stop being a comfort song for her and was starting to transform into a personal requiem. Her breath was controlled she needed to keep herself silent her entry to the room was slow from nowhere a powerful blow hit her, thankful she didn't create resistance and allowed her self to be push away, “Dam it!!!” her hands flew to her face mainly to her nose, a slow stream of red ran trough her nostril, “Where are you bastard!!!” her hands where still covering her nose, while sparks started to run all over her body she was not a power house, but she was not going to allow him to make contact whit out having to worry about her power, she just hoped that she could redirect all her energy to the target in time. Whit out standing she started to scurry her self back trying to pin her back to the wall or the door eliminating blind spots. |
