Something a little bit different

Lee couldn’t believe himself, but yet again he was entering the Underground with the idea of fighting, but for once he was doing it to test himself, the past few days had been a real eye opener for him. He no longer viewed fighting as something that people do to show off, it was a way to keep the mind alert, in focus, making sure that nothing could surprise him, and today, he was going to see if he could do anything.

He knew today in the cage was going to be special, and he was rather looking forward to it. Blunt Weapon fighting, in other words, getting a pole to smack around people, but these poles were metallic so it wasn’t going to be a simple whack and then the pole would break, hit each would hurt.

As in entered the underground it was to find that the cage was already down, and that a fight was going on. The cheers of the crowd was clear that the favourite of the fight was winning, echoes of metal on metal and sometimes the rather worrying sound of metal on bone was heard through the roar of the crowd.

Looking around, Lee smirked as he took off his jacket, he turned to look at the Barman and smiled, heading over there, he stopped just in front of the barman who looked him square in the eyes. ”You hear for the fight?” Lee merely nodded and then handed his jacket over the bar ”Mind taking this for me?” He asked him, and the barman smiled and took it, muttering him a quick “Good luck” before he went off and started to serve a set of people who arrived at the bar just as Lee had handed his jacket over.

Walking down to the cage, he witnessed the last moments of the fight, one of the guys was on his knees, blooded and bruised, whilst the other guy seemed un-damaged and was almost looking it. Holding the pole to the kneeling guy’s chin, he spoke

”Do you yield?” With that, the kneel guy seemed unable to carry on, falling forward onto the floor, passing out.
With that the crowd gave a giant roar of cheers to the winner.

”AMAZING!” Shouting the announcer of the cage tonight ”He has done it again! That brings his total of wins to five today! Who will try to fight our champion tonight ladies and gents?!”

Lee couldn’t resist, he folded his arms over his chest before yelling ”I will!”
The crowd seemed rather happy that the fight was going to get underway so soon. Lee walked into the cage and picked up a pole, eyeing his opponent.

He was maybe a few inches taller then Lee, with a thick and heavily gelled up Mohican hair style with more colour in it then that of a rainbow. His eyes were hazel, and his body was clearly well shaped, but Lee noticed a bandage around the guy’s right leg, and he planned on using that to his advantage. The time he spent with Izel and the other’s had taught him one thing, fighting was serious business you are either in it to win or you should lose there and then.

Lee put his foot under the pole and flicked it upwards, grabbing it and then spinning it anti-clockwise for a few turns to get the feeling for it and then, in one fluid movement put it under his right arm, bringing his left hand forward a bit and smiled. His feet positioned about a shoulders width apart from one another, as he prepared for the fight.

Ding

The bell sounded and the Champion of the cage was off, charging forward at Lee, he waited, waited for the moment to strike. Bringing the pole into both hands now, he used it to block and over held blow. Bringing it to his left side to block a second shot and then Lee was on the attack. Moving the poling so that his grip was on the back end of the pole more, enabling him to do quick rapid fire swings. But the guy was able to block it blow for blow, but Lee was able to notice he was favouring his injured leg, which gave Lee an idea. Giving the Pole a firm swing, he then ducked and aimed a sweeper kick with his other leg to trip the guy up. He jumped to avoid it, but this put him off balance and Lee rammed home the advantage, aiming a fast, but powerful jab with the pole into the guy’s stomach, winding him instantly, Lee smirked as he then lifted the pole up, sadly for the guy he was bent double over the pole and so Lee was able to bring him upwards with the Pole, as he then rammed it upwards again. The cage wasn’t big enough for this move, the guy’s back went into the roof of the cage hard, causing the crowd to give an “oooo” of pain, but Lee wasn’t over just yet. Pulling the pole away, the guy had only one direction to go, down, and he landed with a thud. Lee then brought the pole down onto the guy’s back again and again. After a moment of baited breath, Lee smirked as the guy let go off his pole, passing out like the other guy had.

”Unbelievable! We have a new champion!”

Lee couldn’t help but smile, training this way was more fun then anything he was used to…
