White Day is coming~! Of course, that doesn't mean anything to us outside of Japan, but to the characters of AHS, it's yet another chance to try and dry hump that guy or gal your character has their eye on. Teenage love, isn't it just special? Also, on an unrelated note, I've been playing Final Fantasy 13 (big surprise), and maybe it's just because I'm still kinda early in the game (Chapter 3, I think?), but does any one else think that Hope just needs to slit his wrists and get it over with? Down the block, kiddo, down the block.

Rinji was so pleased that the concert Gojairu held on a similar roof to the one she stood on now had been awesome! The turn-out was more than she expected and actually the weather had been nice enough. Now there also were no clouds in the sky to threaten the bright mood as the sun started on its descent from its noon place at the height of the world. Rinji sighed as she waited for her friend and rockstar to arrive, wondering if there would be a posse of fans at the gate of the courtyard signalling her arrival. There were a lot of changes since Gojairu decided to really get back into the rocking world. Rinji certainly had seen less and less of her and now that there was so much to tell, Rinji didn't know where to begin.

She spun around in circles with her arms wide open, staring up at the blue sky and its harmful to the eye rays. Her bright purple hair waved in the wind that she created along with the light breeze the filled the top of the building. A lot of students found their way up to the top for some reason or another, but today it was rather still. Rinji was the only one up top waiting with a picnic blanket already laid out and a basket in the middle. She was happy to be able to do this with Gojairu since they had before and it was very nostalgic.

Wondering whether or not the girl would be able tos how at all, Rinji could not help but feel different things boiling up inside her. Was she angry at Gojairu for not being around much? Was she happy that her friend found success? Was she pleased with her own current life? Or was she distraught that she had to live it without Gojairu right there. Rinji had run into a great many adventures since Gojairu's father's wedding, that was for sure. She sighed, her eyes becoming dizzy to the blurring of the sky and she fell over onto her back. The hot roof top was anything but clean, but Rinji didn't care. It was almost sticky from being so hot and she had enough time to notice the way the stones felt between her fingers as she ran her hand on the top of the black and gray lining.

Oh Gojairu. Sometimes Rinji wished she could travel around with her friend making tours. There was nothing really that she exactly enjoyed here, except for her kind of new boyfriend. She was certain that anything would be better than the boring time she had here. Her purple eyes scoured the sky as much as they could, her ears listening for any lonely call of a bird. She raised her tanned forearm to cover her forehead and cast a small shadow over her eyes so she could see upward.

Rinji...in all of it, the concerts, the fans, the fame, saving the world, and the girlfriend, she had forgotten about one of the most important people in her freaking life! Gojairu walked up the stairs, hurriedly, but slowly. She was dressed simply today, her hair in a pony tail, a band tshirt tshirt (Daisy Ecee, one of her favorites) , and some black jeans with stars printed on the butt. She was a little upset and ashamed of herself, how could she not have seen Rinji in this long? What an idiot she was to get so wrapped up in this that she'd just....oh man, not but a year ago she had kissed Rinji on the roof. And then like a doofus, fallen down these very stairs. Gojairu chuckled to herself a bit as she walked up the last few stairs.

Gojairu opened the door to the roof, sunlight flooding over her as she looked across the pavement, seeing Rinji lying down, looking a little gloomy, and also sticky. "Hot day, huh?" Gojairu asked, luckily a breeze flew by briefly. Gojairu hesitated a bit, but slowly walked over towards Rinji, sitting next to her. "Hey..." Was all she could manage, Rinji was probably mad, or dissapointed, or sad...it was all her fault.

Funny how Rinji's heart always raced when she heard Gojairu call her. Maybe it was because the young female rock star was the only one who had always been there for her, aside from her adopted father, or maybe it was because deep down inside, Rinji still remembered all the times they had spent intimately together. Either way, there was something about Gojairu that drew Rinji to her and something she still hadn't figured out. As she heard the door open, knowing instantly that it was her friend, Rinji sighed and continued to stare up at the blue swatch of sky. It was blending nicely with a deeper blue that was trying to creep up and begin a descent into evening. That would not happen quite yet though, considering it was just past lunchtime.

Turning her head a little, Rinji smiled and said, "Hey. What's up? You done packin' up your band stuff?"

She had assumed that after the concert, Gojairu would have to make sure all her equipment was set to somewhere safe and answer the fan-following she seemed to have nowadays on the roof of that building downtown. That meant hours of her probably signing things and taking photos. Rinji didn't mind it as much, though she wished in some way that Gojairu would include her in it all. She had really felt close when she went to her father's wedding, and now things were kind of awkward.

Rinji looked back up, her one arm still shielding the sun and the other behind her head as a poor fleshy pillow. She didn't know how to explain her feelings to Gojairu, but really wanted to tell her everything that had happened lately between her and the world. There was a lot to be said, but then again, she didn't want to be the only one who talked. She wanted Gojairu to talk about her life as well and let her know what was going on with her. How was her...girlfriend? Rinji swallowed with a dry throat.

Tension was apparent, most definately apparent. "Yeah...kinda lame though, these guys...they need to learn about how to handle my stuff better." Maybe you could do it, I trust you more than anyone. Thats what she wanted to say, but Rinji had stuff to do here, she couldnt just ask her to run off with her. "Uhm...did you like the concert?" She asked putting her acoustic down next to her, "I know it...was kinda impersonal, I'm sorry..."

Keep going. You've learned to say things that bother you, so this shouldnt be hard.

"I've...not been a very good friend lately huh? I've been sort of rapped up in all this stuff that I've lost time for you...and I'm really sorry for that, Rin. This is what I wanted to do but...I didnt know it'd get like this." She said reaching and taking Rinji's hand. "I wanna know about how you've been, what you've been doing, since most of my life is broadcast japan wide now..." She said, sighing.

"The concert was cool," Rinji said, smiling a little. She was glad to have been able to be there and support her friend. Of course, the copious amounts of food were also no deterrent, but she was truthfully there to listen tot he music and see how far Gojairu had come along with her music. It was something that, although Rinji had not been near in proximity to her friend, she had felt connected her while they were apart. It was the only thing she would listen to about Gojairu. Answering her confession, Rinji replied. "I try not to listen to the news or the radio that much. Most of the time I don't know what they say about people as being true or not, so I try not to think about it."

She was sure that Gojairu's life was pretty much now into the media, so there was nothing she could do without being filmed or found out. Rinji was sure that even their meeting now would probably end up in some tabloid or another, but did that really bother her? Rinji felt her friend take her hand and almost flinched. There was definitely a tension that rode down her back, but it settled before it got serious. The shape-shifter wasn't about to shake off her best friend after she came back to apologize.

"Well, it's something you wanted to do though, right? I mean, so it's not a big deal," Rinji said, sitting up and pulled her hand away and wrapping them around her knees. They were surprisingly cold compared to the weather and she had no idea why. Her purple eyes focussed on a tree in the distance, ignoring the basket of food close by for once. "I figured you were busy leading the rock life. I understand you go around a lot. I can't understand how you wouldn't know it'd be like this though. I mean, you've seen this your whole life, right? And with your father and stuff too? So I mean, didn't you kinda expect this would happen?"

Rinji turned to look at her, a sort of determined annoyance there, though not really so much for her lack of attendance, but more for her lack of communication. At least if Gojairu had gone on tour she could've sent a postcard or something. If she had gone out of the country, Rinji didn't know. Wasn't she the number one fan though? Didn't Gojairu still think of her as being the backup? The one she could count on? Rinji's heart fell as she thought of it more. No, maybe Gojairu thought her girlfriend was number one now. Maybe the line between friend and girlfriend had blurred and Rinji had been replaced. That was something she didn't want to dwell on, but couldn't help thinking as she waited for Gojairu to answer.

Rinji's annoyance was clear as the day around them. Gojairu raised a brow, wasnt she supposed to be the fragile one?...Not Rinji...She had never really seen her like this. "I mean...yeah, I did know I just...thought I'd be able to handle it better." Gojairu said looking down at her own feet. "I mean...I wanted to have a least a little control over my life, but it seems like they're taking everything." Gojairu clenched her fists, "I guess I figured I'd do it differently, but it seems like that isnt true...I'm trying hard to still be connected to you, I am...or I wouldnt have come here." She said turning to look at Rinji, a little bit determined and annoyed herself. Of course she would come, did Rinji think that Gojairu was going to just shrug her off for fame? Did Rinji trust her that little? "Think any of this would have been possible without you?...With this life also comes confidence, confidence you gave me." Gojairu said looking right into Rinji's eyes, giving her hand a small squeeze "Is this also about Liz?...I admit I kind of dropped that on you, but...I need you too Rinji...I need you a lot. I thought maybe I could do this by myself, but I cant...." She was upset now, not really annoyed, just sad. "I messed this up...I think I did it too fast. Too much at one time...I'm sorry...I dont want to seem like I just...throw problems on you. You're more than that...You're...." Dont cry, please dont cry.

"You're my best friend, Rinji, please believe that." And then the tears fell, she put her hand over her eyes. "I...I'm sorry I always cry..." She mumbled, sniffling.

Through her thinly veiled annoyance, Rinji found it in her to release the tension in her forehead and sigh. She would not embrace Gojairu really, but she would talk to her about it. The woman deserved as much to hear her opinion on the whole matter. She flipped some purple bangs out of her eyes and started, "I just feel like you didn't exactly make the effort to contact me while you were off and away. I didn't hear anything from you since the CD listening to now! And then you barely mentioned Liz, so yeah. I'm pissed."

Rinji accepted Gojairu's statement, but wanted to make sure it was true. "I feel like I've been replaced. I mean, you didn't even tell me about this chick. I heard nothing about her until she was practically or pretty much your girlfriend. I tried to find you to tell you about what was goin' on with me, and I just couldn't get to you. It's like, I can't even be your friend because everything's gettin' in the way."

She crumbled her fingers into her palms. There was something that was still bothering her. She wouldn't tell Gojairu how bad she felt about it all just yet since she was rather distraught, but eventually, Rinji hoped to explain it all. "I want to be your best friend, but I feel like I'm not your number one any more. Why didn't you tell me about her? Why didn't you explain where you were going with all this rock business? I thought you were just releasing a CD or two."

"I didnt want you to feel like you were replaced...thats the reason I hid it." Gojairu said wiping her eyes, crying wouldnt help her case, she just needed to be sincere. "I handled it badly, mostly cause I wanted to avoid the situation we're in right now....which....was dumb." Gojairu said sighing, "I didnt think people would enjoy my CD that much, guess I just got carried away. I havent really had time to explain it cause every day is something new on my schedual. I may be skipping something as we speak." She said with a grin, but it quickly faded away. "But...guess I've also just been scared of telling you stuff...its kinda...big stuff, that is kinda putting a wall in our friendship, so I guess I've kept it to myself in hopes that it'd not be an issue." Gojairu ran a hand through her hair. "Man...I need to cut this...do you want to cut my hair?..." She asked, looking at Rinji.

Rinji exhaled in a hiss. Gojairu hadn't even answered her questions! Sure the woman was upset, but she could at least answer them directly. That was something that was beginning to bother the young woman even more and she was becoming a lot more persistent about it. If she had to say it fifty times she would until she got a straight answer from her friend.

"Yeah it's big stuff, but why would you be afraid of telling me?" Rinji asked, throwing her hand across the front of her torso dramatically as she spoke. "I thought there wasn't anything between us? I thought that-"

She cut herself short and stood, fists clenched as she sat there. She wouldn't stand, no. She wouldn't walk away because that was not a way to deal with things. Rinji hit the ground with her right hand, palm down. So Gojairu said she didn't want her to feel replaced and that's why she hid it? Because in fact she really had been? After all this, Rinji looked at the ground. "How could you not think that people would like your music? I've believed in your from the start!"

In some ways, Rinji would have wanted to fight her more, but she knew Gojairu wasn't the type of person to do that. "So that's why you didn't tell me about Liz? 'cause you thought I'd be jealous? That I'd hate you or something? Well yeah I'd be jealous! Suddenly there's this new person who suddenly kidnaps my best friend's time when she doesn't have any other time to spare for anything else? But I can't hate you..."

"Anyone can hate anyone, Rin...its easy, people do it all the time." Gojairu sighed, "And of course I was scared of it, people have hated me for less so...guess I was a little paranoid and should have trusted you more." She twiddled her fingers, "I know you believed in me, but not everyone can like me as much as you do...everyone worries about they're music, its a part of musician life. And she did not kidnap me, Rin, your being silly now!" Gojairu snapped, feeling a little exasperated herself, "I did this so...you shouldn't really blame her. All I can do is promise you I'm gonna make more time for you....and apologize for what I've already done."

Gojairu stood up, facing Rinji, looking right into her eyes. "And I'd like you to forgive me, but...I know its probly impossible to do immediately." She said, "What do we want to do, Rin?..."

"No, I can't hate you because you're my friend and friends don't turn on one another," Rinji said, shaking her head. She stood up, her fingers curling into fists at her side as she did so. Gojairu was one of the few people she had any more. She wanted to keep that relationship. Besides, if the woman was willing to talk about things then at least Rinji could listen. They would mend. Her heart wouldn't be still for a while, but at least Rinji could test her patience for the both of them.

"Well I accept your apology and...I guess I apologize too. I should've tried to really get through to you more instead of standing around like I did just watching," Rinji sighed, looking away from Gojairu, not wanting to meet her eyes. "I didn't really know what to do. I wanted to give you space but I also wanted to know what was going on."

She thought carefully, a glaze going over her purple eyes as she did so before turning to Gojairu. "Here's the deal then. Do you know me? I mean seriously? Of course I'm gonna forgive you. But the deal is, you tell me about Liz and I tell you about Teo and we EAT."

Gojairu said nothing at first, just walked slowly forward, wrapping her arms around her friend and pulling her close quickly. The hug was brief, but it held a lot of emotion to give to Rinji in the small moment before she pulled away. "I'll try harder, but yes, I could have stood to know this a little sooner." Gojairu said smiling, "We both made mistakes, and in the end...we've known each other for awhile, but there's probably still a lot we can learn about each other, we just...havent ever had a situation like this happen for us. And its a little jarring, bu-...wait...Teo?" Gojairu stopped her melodramatic schpeel for a second and looked dumbfounded at her friend, "Who is...wha...whaaat!" Gojairu smiled wide, if Rinji was saying what she thought she was saying... "You hypocrite!" Gojairu shouted, grabbing Rinji and ruffling her hair, jabbing her in the sides, and other manner of physical affection that people do when learning they're best friend has gotten some manner of significant other.

"Anyway...yeah, we can talk and then eat, ill pay." Gojairu said, once done with her torment. "Should I go first?"

Rinji was overwhelmed and relieved when Gojairu just took her into a hug. Most of the time the young woman could be so bull-headed that she didn't realize the emotions could be both ways, or that even a small gestures like a touch or a hug could make her feel so much.

"I agree. We've had a crap ton thrown at us and we just need to keep learning and being honest to each other," Rinji said as she clasped her hands behind her back, resting on her tailbone as she did. She walked slowly toward the middle of the roof and laughed as her words finally dawned on Gojairu. She spun around and grinned. "Yeup yeup yeup. Teeeeeeeooooooo. And I am NOT a hypocrite!"

Rinji squealed as her best friend grabbed her around the waist and made to almost tickle her. She resisted as best as she could, but she also did not want to. It was times like this that the young woman was pleased to have a girl friend to play with, to laugh with, to talk to. Rinji dodged away finally and fell on the blanket that she had laid out.

"Hell no are we talking and then eating! I'm STARVED! We can talk and eat at the same time 'cause I brought a picnic!" Rinji exclaimed, her eyes greedily taking in the basket she had brought up. She removed the lid and began to take out chips, sandwiches, and drinks. "You definitely go first!"

Gojairu sat with Rin, also relieved that things seemed to have calmed down a bit. She really did consider Rinji the best of her friends, and being on bad terms with her was never fun. Gojairu grabbed some chips and downed about half of a CC lemon before taking a deep breath and plunging into her story. "Alright so."

(Que flashback imagery)

"So me and Liz met at a show I was playing at a while ago before I got famous, we pretty much hit it off immediately. She was cute, into music, nice, I dunno I just...felt attraction, and she felt it back. I played my show, a riot happened, I lost control of my powers...and rescued her from riot cops. Oh- the adrenaline rush nearly made my heart fail, that was fun. But she calmed me down and...well, later we ended up making out in the park. But that's uhm...not important. I guess maybe it was the rush of it all but...my crush seemed like a little more than a crush. So a few months after that, we meet up at a coffee shop...seems okay, we go back to her place, and then...we admit that we like each other, like a lot and want to try to be more than friends....and we made out a lot more."

(Done)

"And that's mostly it." Gojairu said sipping a canned green tea, and blushing furiously. "I've been busy but...I think we're girlfriends. We haven't had an amazing amount of time to really hammer out details but...we like each other a lot." Gojairu said smiling, "Your turn!"

By the time Gojairu was done with her story, Rinji had already downed ten sandwhiches, each a triangle half, and a small bag of chips, plus one orange soda. Her mouth was definitely full when her companion told her it was her turn. Swallowing a huge wad of meat and cheese, Rinji smiled. "That was the most freakin' abridged story I have ever heard and totally not fair, but okay, whatever."

She proceeded to bop Gojairu on the head with another bag of chips, unopened of course, before popping them and digging in. They were one of her favourites, sour cream and onion ruffles. She crammed her mouth with some before replying, "You know what. Since you gave me an abridged, I'm gonna do the same! And I'll tell you what I think of your predicament after I'm done!"

Rinji reclined back, taking a swig of her drink before continuing, "Went to the mall to fill out some job apps, met some crazy psycho bitch who said I had terrible shoes, got dragged to the store, met Teo, who works at the mall there, then totally met him randomly again at Blue Leaves and then decided I'd challenge him to spar. Well turns out he can't hit a girl, so the only option was wrestling, so things got a little sexy like and we ended up hanging out at the park and going on a date! The end."

She had to laugh at her own summary, shaking her head as she downed some more chips like a monster. Rinji was certain Gojairu was gonna stare and probably ask her fifty thing. Or at least, she hoped.

"Dang girl, that was far more abridged than mine! Also, would you want all the dear sweet details?" Gojairu complained teasingly as she munched on a handful of pocky. Little Rinji had been busy! "Also, sexy? what do you mean by sexy? I didnt even know ya had it in you to be sexy! Gotta show me sometime." She said with a playful wink. "Okay so, next, physical description, whats this hottie look like? Also, that is totally not 'the end' if you two are still going out silly!" She chided

Gojairu picked up her guitar and began playing absentmindedly. It was meant to be a private concert, so she might as well play.

Rinji stuck her tongue out at Gojairu more and crammed the rest of the chips into her mouth before taking another drink. If they were going to be talking that meant eating because there was no way Rinji could keep up otherwise! She watched Gojairu pick at her guitar and sighed inwardly. There were some things that never changed, in some ways good, and in some ways bad. She wondered whether or not the young woman would ever be able to let go of her music. No chance!

At the talk of sexy things, Rinji laughed and took the time to over enunciate it to her friend, "Yes....seeexxxyyyyy. Meaning there was kissing involved and I can totally do it! It's just that I haven't exactly been around a guy for a while, so nyah. Meany. I ain't showin' you!"

She looked into the distance as she watched the shadows from the trees begin to stretch across the lawn. Although it was early afternoon, shadows always had to be cast one way or another! It was one thing that Rinji loved to watch. She turned her head toward Gojairu, pausing momentarily in the eat fest and smiled, "He's from the Philippines, so he has a darker tone of skin and darker hair. Brown eyes. Fairly tall. I guess, medium tall for a guy. He's skinnier. Has a great fashion sense."

Rinji fell back onto the roof and looked up at the sky. Teo was something she hadn't expected. He was certainly different than Gen had been and the other guys she had pretty much become acquaintances of. Of course, nothing had really ever come to fruition with any of them, sadly. Now that Teo was around though, hopefully things would get better.

"So what about you? Sure I don't need the sexy details, but what about Liz? What's she look like again?"

Gojairu smiled at her friend as she day grew shorter around them. "Ooo phillapeno! You got some exotic tastes, babe!" Gojairu said licking her lips, of course she didnt really like guys, but it was worth teasing her friend. "And you know you totally want to show me, some day you'll come around." She added, but then stroked her chin, looking for words to describe Liz. "Hm...Liz...liz is...asian looking." Gojairu said laughing. "Nah...shes got jet black hair, brown eyes, shes also a skinny little thing, very petite. She isnt too concious about fashion, she more just wears anything that she wants...and makes it look good. She dosnt wear make up...she styles her hair differently every day. Shes kinda unexpected like that. She wears a lot of shiney stuff, she loves it...I should get her something soon." Gojairu said wistfully.

"She just kinda...smiles, and it drives me crazy, ya know? She dosnt do it too much cause shes kinda unsure about a lot of things...gets nervous easily. But shes been better lately, so thats good....I dont know!" Gojairu said blushing, "What is it about Teo that makes you...ya know, made it so that there was definately a second date?"

Rinji shrugged when Gojairu told her she had a different taste. It was just one of those things that the rocker woman liked to tease her about. Probably soon she would come up with something else as well! When her friend began describing the...girlfriend type character, Rinji actually took the time away from stuffing her face to notice the way that Gojairu's expression changed. Apparently there was something really special about this chick that her friend digged and it was duly noted. In some ways, the shifter almost thought...

"You know," Rinji said, jokingly and definitely aimed to tease Gojairu to no end, "Sounds a little like me, hmmm. The whole asian looking, changing her hair, shiny stuff. Though I gotta admit I am way to bold to be nervous that easily! And I smile too!! Actually maybe I grin more..."

Rinji paused to think about it as Gojairu asked her next question, which made her stop even more. Looking at the ground, the young woman drew up her strong legs and wrapped her arms around them as she thought. Maybe there had been something that Teo had done that drew her on. Maybe it was just some unspoken promise, or perhaps it was Rinji's drive to actually do more, be true to what she wanted. Was it a test of strength? Perseverance?

"I guess...after the first day I thought he was genuinely a nice guy," Rinji admitted, sliding back on her hands. "I just wanted to know more about him. I guess, I was just interested."

"Are you saying I picked her cause she looked like you? Nice job bein vain, Rin!" Gojairu teased back, "However...now that I think about it..." She broke into giggles, she couldnt keep it up, "You need to stop wanting me so bad."

Gojairu nodded as she listened to Rinji talk about Teo, "Yeah...just kinda...was drawn I guess." Gojairu agreed, "Something told me 'I want to see this person again' really loudly." Gojairu had never been a fan of being super mushy, but she had gotten into the habbit of it lately. "But anyway...enough about that! You're here for a concert arent ya?...what do you want me to play?"

Rinji shrugged, her mind elsewhere as Gojairu kept plugging away. She was certain that without inspiration from her, the young woman would start chugging something or another in a matter of seconds. Gojairu had a way of just starting things really, especially without Rinji really encouraging. She had laughed when her friend actually agreed about the similarities between herself and Liz, but quickly moved on. There was nothing must else to discuss there.

"So are you going to go on tour or anything any time soon? You know you should totally take me again. I'd be up for the fashion and the fame," Rinji half-joked. It was true that being in the spot light, despite the fact that it had been about Gojairu's dad's wedding, was enough for her to really get a taste for it. She had enjoyed being around the famous people and in the spot light. Rinji had never really been noticed before for more than a tomboy, so actually having people indulge her in her fashion was enough for her to smile and want more.

Her thoughts turning to her father, Rinji began to wonder how it would affect him if she were to choose that path. There was nothing the young woman would really get into, but what if her short purple hair and thin frame caught some model worker and he wanted her to become a famous model or something? Her mind began spinning of random ideas of fame. Nah. THat would end up no where.

Gojairu gulped, she had almost forgotten that she was going out of town, her career was taking off faster than she thought. "Well...I am doing an out of town show...and it'd be really cool if someone could come with me...like you." Gojairu said smiling at Rinji, continuing to play a bit of Shrine Summer, the song inspired by meeting her. "But...you've got stuff to do here, ya know? I dont wanna just pull you away from this new guy, or school, just cause it'd be fun to have you on tour with me." Gojairu nodded, she was gonna cut down on being selfish. "I mean if you want to come, I'd like that, but it'd be a little awhile, maybe even a few weeks. And its tiring! Fame aint all its cracked up to be, babe!"

Gojairu sighed, of course she still wanted Rinji to come. But in the end, she could ask the world to just revolve around herself.

Rinji proceeded to hit Gojairu on the back, a little harder than she had wanted to, but strong enough. "Are you joking me? Like I ever attend classes anyway! Sure I might have to talk to Teo about it, but I wanna go. I'm in for another roadtrip anyway. Besides, if I don't follow you around to keep up this friendship it's not like you're gonna quit your entire roadshow just to hang out with me, right?"

It might've stung, but Rinji knew it was probably the truth. Gojairu just couldn't give up her career to be with her. Her one friend. There was much more at stake than that. Gojairu was probably making lots of money, money enough to take of herself. Rinji was still bumming off her adoptive father and not really caring to find her real parents at all. Was it really a crime? She didn't know. Teo's words had buried deep within her though despite how much she tried to push them away. Was she on a search? Would she really be interested in finding them?

"I think gettin' out would be great...besides, you need a good lookin' girl next to you when you're on the road. I might even be able to-"

Rinji was about to finish that with 'hit on some band guys' when she realized that she was actually in a relationship now. That would be bad. Catastrophic. Turning her whole mind around for a situation like this would be a chore. She had to think of Teo now.

Gojairus face fell a bit as Rinji said basically what was on both of their minds. In short, no, Gojairu wouldnt quit the roadshow, it was something she really wanted, and it came at the price of leaving school and leaving behind Rinji. "It's not like that Rin...I'm not just gonna forget you the minute I get on the road." Gojairu promised, but in the end, Rinji wanted to go with her! Gojairu smiled a bit at that, "I mean, its not for a few weeks, but yeah...if its enough of a problem, he could like...come with, or something." Gojairu said rubbing the back of her neck, she'd have to meet the guy at sometime to size him up anyway.

In the end, she'd just have to be happy that Rinji decided to come with. "Thanks a lot Rin, I think i'd turn into a meltdowny bitch without you, and I imagine it'll be worlds more fun with you there."

Rinji smiled, thinking about how fun the trip would be! She was even more than pleased when Gojairu offered for Teo to join them, even though it sounded like th rocker was hesitant about it. Was it because she was worried for Rinji or just because she was uneasy about him being there to begin with? Well Teo would have to meet Gojairu sometime or another because she WAS Rinji's best friend! It would be impossible for them to just avoid each other forever. Besides, it would be fun.

The only other problem that came to her mind was that, with Teo there, there with might be less girl time and party time. Also, Rinji thought, though she imagined she hadn't thought of it much before, the young woman wouldn't be very flirtatious with other people, i.e. pretend to pick up boys with Gojairu. The thing was, of course, that her friend didn't usually do the picking up anyway. Clubbing might also be out of the question, though Teo and Rinji HAD done the clubbing before. That had been both fun and trouble.

"I think he might like it...I'll have to ask," Rinji replied, smiling in thanks for the offer. "I hope it'll be more fun!"

She thought of all the amazing outfits she could wear and felt like living in that sort of world of glitz was way more appealing at times, though she suppose glamour and fame was a lot less than it was cracked up to be. Rinji of course wouldn't be in the spot light as much as Gojairu would be. If Teo joined too, who knew how many girls would try and jump him. Would they care? Did Rinji care? She didn't know if she was jealous or not!

"Got any more secrets you've been meaning to tell me?" Rinji asked, half jokingly and half serious. She swayed a little sitting next to her friend.

Gojairu smiled, although in truth, she was hoping that she didnt really ask him. Now she knew how Rinji felt when she had learned about Liz. She did feel a bit jealous at this new person that had entered her best friends life. A little invasive...hm...Gojairu sighed as she realized her hypocricy. "Nah, no other secrets, though I'm probably pregnant with twins, and also have developed Supercalafragilisticexpialidocious." She said with a grin, "Its highly contagious, and you dont even want to know the symptoms."

Rinji shook her head at her friend, turning to face her and giving her a look that could've silenced anyone else but Gojairu, just because she knew that it was a joke. The shapeshifter rarely got angry, though when she did it was a fearsome thing to behold.

"Right. That's gross!" Rinji laughed, shaking her head at the jest. "And you know what. You're probably gonna turn around and tell me that you're some awesome crime-fighting hero with super powers too, of course, fighting crime while you take care of those twins!"

The young woman was sure it was absolutely outrageous, but that was what Rinji did. She fabricated such funny things in her mind that really anyone who tried to process anything she said would be left in the dust, very confused. Thinking about Teo though, Rinji pursed her lips. With a determined look, she turned to face her friend. "You know...you should meet Teo. Like, soon."

(Aw. Crap)

"Ahahaha! O-only on saturdays!" Gojairu said with a giggle, oh crap...she had almost forgot about that. She was indeed Kamen Rider Rock, guitar wielding protecter of justice. But that was different, this was a secret she'd keep to herself as long as she could. It was one thing to protect Rinji from media bullshit, but Rock's enemies were a different kind entirely, violent and evil...Gojairu wasnt about to let Rinji into that part of her life. At least she didnt have twins...heh. Gojairu was damn glad when Rinji changed the subject to Teo...well...pretty glad anyway.

"Yeah! He sounds pretty cool! Lets do lunch or something." She said with a smile. At least...she would if she had time.

((OOC: Heh. Yeah don't think I wasn't gonna pull this on you sometime, you jerk!!! Way to leave her out of the loop! Though if you please you can continue thwarting the question...))

Rinji eyed Gojairu in a very scrutinizing sort of way. Was she toying with her, or was she for serious? The shapeshifter's words had been a joke, but now she wasn't so sure if her friend was telling her what she thought she was. "What do you mean...only on Saturdays?"

If Gojairu was holding out on some huge secret that was going to haunt Rinji for the rest of her life, then her best friend would get a pummelling she never dreamed of! Or in the least, the cold treatment. Actually, now that Rinji was thinking about it...Gojairu hadn't ever held a real secret from her, had she? The cheery purple-haired girl had always trusted her to not do anything like that, but what if she was wrong? What if Gojairu had some deep dark secrets that she hadn't told her of still? True, Rinji hadn't gotten all of her friend's past, especially stuff prior to her being at school, but still...

In fact, Rinji's reaction would probably be nothing of anger at all. She would probably be so torn that she would be depressed more than anything. Gojairu was her best friend afterall, and for her to lie to her or not tell her the truth was just...well, rather unthinkable. Rinji tried to shake the thoughts for her head, but they settled in the back somewhere. As her friend continued on about Teo, she offered up a smile. "Yeah. That sounds good. But you better not bail!"

"I wont bail, promise." Gojairu said crossing her heart with her finger. She tried her best to stay composed when Rinji got suspicious about the superhero things, its true she could only afford the weekends anymore, but hey, the other riders had time, so...it wasnt up to her to save the world. But it was dangerous and she wouldnt let Rinji become a part of that. "You just name a time and a place for us to meet and ill see if I can make it, if i can, promise i will, if it cant...then...we'll figure it out." Oh yeah, time constraints, always sucky when making a plan to remember you have about a billion of your own.

Gojairu checked her watch, and her eyes almost bugged out of her face. "Oh snap, Rin, I was supposed to be at a meeting like 15 minutes ago!" She gasped, today was a meeting with her manager to discuss plans for out of town stuff. She got up, packing her acoustic, "This meetings gonna decide where we're going on our trip, so ill try to get us someplace cool, wanna walk me down?"

Rinji knew that Gojairu had totally avoided the question, but there was no hope to that, so she would have to deal with it later. If it was something that her friend didn't want to tell her, then she wouldn't. Sighing, Rinji nodded. The promise that Gojairu made wasn't very promising at all. Sure she said they would meet, but then she suggested that they might have to reschedule before they even planned it. Things had sure changed with Gojairu. Rinji wasn't liking it, but she didn't have a choice really.

Sighing in a huff, the shapeshifter gathered up her stuff and shoved it in a hiding location on the rooftop where she stored things. It was next to the trashcan, so sort of obvious, but hidden away from most people who entered the roof looking for solace. Her bright purple eyes were deep in concentration and deliberation. Gojairu was late for a meeting. Gojairu was going on a trip, which possibly she would be on. Gojairu had this or that. Rinji felt her anger start to swell again but she subdued it. Would she have to start being fake to her friend now, just for the sake of emotional and mental stability? Would she have to lie to Gojairu to feel better about herself or for Gojairu to feel good about herself? Did her friend need that in these tough times for her? Could Rinji provide it?

Donning a smile, though it was less energetic as it usually was, Rinji got up and nodded. "Let's go! You can't be late for deciding our future, jerk."

She threw open the heavy metal door to the roof and started down the stairs.

"-Hey" Gojairu started, walking after Rinji. Ugh...this was going in circles! Was she going to keep making her friend angry like this cause she had a life and a career of her own? "Rin I'm trying really hard, alright?!" She shouted, slamming the door behind her, the echo's bouncing off the hallway walls. "I'm sorry I cant give you a sure answer but right now I just cant." Gojairu's fist clenched, "And I'm sorry if it seems like im being dodgy, or wishywashy, or fake, but god dammit its because I really really do want you to come with me, and I do wanna meet this guy, and I don't just want to automatically say no without trying to make some time first...and I wont know when that is, so please just be a little patient with me, okay?" She pleaded.

The energy that followed them penetrated through the metal railings and the stone walls, making everything vibrate with an energy that couldn't be seen. Rinji had some horrible thoughts as she descended, flying down the stairs in a half run half walk. She wanted to escape from all this trouble that she was probably causing, but didn't want to run from it at the same time. She couldn't confront it, but she couldn't leave it. It would be so easy to shift and get away.

Halfway down the stairs, Rinji stopped, turning back to look up at her friend who was following. She was tempted to point a finger at her rather accusingly, but decided against it. There was enough fire in her eyes to show what she felt. "I really wanna go with you too but if it comes down to your career or me, who do you think I think you're gonna pick? At this moment, what does it look like? From me?"

Turning on her heels, Rinji just couldn't do it. Patience was something she rarely had and even with her best friend...no, that's why she ran. Gojairu was her best friend, and if something ever happened between them, if something ever made it so that they really could never see each other again, Rinji knew she'd be absolutely heart-broken. Gojairu was the only girl she'd befriended really and stuck with. She had no other friends!

"Call me when you have time. Let me know how it goes," Rinji called, though she spoke it not louder than a regular tone. It echoed back up the stairwell toward Gojairu as she opened the door at the bottom and walked out.

Gojairu stood there silently as her friend left, the words she had said repeating in her head. With a frustrated cry she slammed her fist into the wall next to her, a rumbling pulse going through the entire building. What did she want?...and what would it cost her? Would she look back because of the cost? In the end...did it have to be one or the other? Was that life?

"Damnit..."
