The Supernatural Library is one of the largest buildings in the school that houses many, many books of knowledge and reference; whether it is historical books or fictional stories, this library has them all... Or at least that's what Teresa believes... Teresa has come here to search for somewhat of a mix. In other words, she has come to the library to look for a book about magicians, witches, and other things related to magic. She's been wondering if the Supernatural Library included any Black Magic books similar to the one that her father mailed to her a few days ago, or if it even had the history of how magicians started. Either way, Teresa came to find out.

Dressed in her uniform, she entered and immediately walked to the Historical Books section. Teresa walked through many aisles, looked over many book titles, and found nothing. She put a hand to her forehead in disappointment; she was really expecting something! But then, it was as though her prayers were answered... Ahead of her was a large, old-looking book that had a title on its spine: "The History of Magic and Witchcraft". Well, it sounds exactly like what she was looking for. Unfortunately, the book was high above her head, so she would have to call the librarian... Oooorr not! Teresa always likes the "creative" way, so she used her Levitation spell to make herself float up to the book and grab it herself. This caused a couple of students to look at her in slight amazement, but her mind was focused on the book. Unaware that she was still floating, Teresa searched through the ancient pages of the book, clearly interested in its contents.

Suddenly, her spell wore off! She landed hard on her back, along with an "Oof!" and the book falling on top of her. Teresa sat up slowly.

"Ooooww..." she muttered to herself, rubbing the back of her head. Well, that was clearly embarrassing...

Atreyu had yet to find any space on campus indoors that he enjoyed, the Supernatural Library least of all. He approached the sector with apprehension and once inside, found the empty and quiet atmosphere almost disconcerting. It was strange to be able to feel so at peace in such a place for some people at least. Atreyu himself loathed silence. He was certain that the flipping of the worn broken yellow pages was one of the closest things he would hear similar to water though, the same similar rhythmic motion of the sea. Unless he went to the waterfall or lake, Atreyu really did not feel at home as much. Even there the little water did basically nothing to calm his soul. He was pirate through and through.

As the fiery youth stepped through in between the natural walkways between bookcases, he felt the rugs beneath his boots and it gave him an eerie sensation of being weighted down. So of course, to turn the corner and find a young woman levitating was the least of what he expected. Atreyu was under the impression that there could be no magic or such done in such an area, and honestly, the young man had yet to see something of the nature performed since he had just started, so to turn and find such a spectacular sight was really something. The young man was about to open his mouth to speak when the dark-haired girl fell, school uniform skirt flapping and arms open, but holding the book as she did. Unfortunately it fell away from her grasp and ended up landing on her.

Atreyu walked over to her, looking down, the bright light of the library lamp creating a shadowing halo behind him as he checked to see if she was alright.

"Ye be 'urt in anyway?" he asked, offering her a course hand up. He himself was dressed in the school uniform, though his masculine version was clearly casual, unbuttoned and revealing a white tank underneath that rippled against his chest and toned stomach as he bent down to help her.

Teresa continued to rub her head. Well, that wasn't very convenient... Besides, had two minutes passed that fast? Usually her Levitation spell would last for that long before wearing off; but then again, she was really caught up in that old book. She continued to wonder about this until a voice interrupted her thoughts.

"Ye be 'urt in anyway?" asked the voice. Teresa looked up to find a boy holding his hand out to her. She quickly fixed her skirt to make sure that it didn't give people a full view of her panties; but thankfully, it didn't reveal anything, or at least she hoped so. This is exactly why she thought that life was easier with shorts and pants rather than skirts! After that, she took his hand.

"No, I'm fine." she answered, completely ignoring how he just spoke like a pirate, "But thanks for your help." Teresa stood up with his help and dusted herself off. She's never been so... out of it before, especially when performing a spell. The book was just so interesting and convincing about the history of magic. Perhaps she can borrow it, yet it seemed so precious. Teresa looked around for the book and found it opened on the floor. The pages were facing the floor, which caused some minor tears and folds. Great, she ruined an ancient (or at least it looked like it) book and she may have to pay for it! Or maybe she was just overreacting. Teresa took the book in her hands and closed it properly, making sure that the pages weren't in its former folded position. She walked back to the boy.

"Hey, do you know if students can borrow this book?" she asked. Teresa was most definitely interested in this. Who knows what information it could hold?

Atreyu blinked, watching her as she made to stand. Her legs were pretty nice, slimmer, but still kinda athletic looking, though she probably didn't do much sports aside from maybe running. Her arms were thin, but the school uniform definitely flattered her in more ways than one and Atreyu, despite the fact that he had a kind heart, was definitely a ladies' man, or at least...he tried to be. So how could anyone blame him?

He smiled genuinely as he helped her stand, watching as she bent to pick up the old tome and brush it off a little. It had looked torn and that in some ways pained Atreyu. Although he had a great appreciate and love for women, he had a greater appreciation for history and lore. The damaged book only made him wince a little in pain as he thought of how it could possibly be fixed. Perhaps it would need to go to the library doctor, if there was one.

The pirate was even more surprised when she turned to him and asked whether he knew the capability of the library system. He blinked, admitting, "I be a new stu'ent, but I 'lieve ye ain't be 'llowed. They be too old...ref'rence."

Atreyu pointed toward the large piles of books students were studying with at tables and the carts that showed the returns. All the books in this hall were rather old, so there would probably be a slim chance by asking. Still, it wouldn't hurt to try. His eyes quickly scanned the cover and the spine, taking in the subject immediately. "'ist'ry eh? Be it magic that ye practice? I reckon it be right 'impressive."

He meant to compliment her on the levitation spell, but of course, Atreyu wasn't sure if the eh...language barrier would be too much for the girl to process. It wasn't like Atreyu was very much versed in Japanese. He tried, honest to God, but most of the time he just had too much trouble.

Teresa lowered her head in disappointment. She was really excited to read this book. Maybe if she came into the Library everyday and just read where she is now... Yeah, she can probably get away with that since this is, after all, a place for studying, reading, and researching. But she smiled when he mentioned how he was a new student as well.

"Oh, I'm a new student too." she said. Though it was probably unneccessary to tell the man about that, it's nice to find that you have at least one thing in common with a stranger. Teresa looked as he pointed to where students were also reading old books, either that or just books that were to precious to give away. She sighed a little sadly; and she was just floating a moment ago in excitement of this new knowledge...

"'ist'ry eh? Be it magic that ye practice? I reckon it be right 'impressive." he said. Teresa tilted her head a bit to the side. Did he just speak like a pirate? She just noticed it now; earlier, she had been worried about the book. But now that her senses were back, she found it somewhat strange that a student such as himself spoke in such a way. Then again, Teresa imagined him in pirate clothing, and he actually looked convincing. Hm, perhaps he sailed the seas before attending AHS? Nevertheless, she was able to make out the words.

"Yeah, actually, it's from my father's side of the family that knows magic," she replied, smiling, "Thanks for the compliment. Most magicians would actually think that it's a bit... how should I say it... Amateur-ish?"

She always practiced her magic whenever she had free time, or at least when she felt like it. However, it never seems to improve no matter how many times she tries. Teresa needs the training from a professional magician or at least someone with more experience such as her father. The only reason why she was able to use that spell for two minutes is because of his training. Things were so much easier with him around to help!

Overjoyed that she understood him, though he kept that to himself and refused to let the expression make it to his face, the young man nodded and smiled a half, lop-sided one. At least they were new students together, even if they seemed to be studying completely different things and had no way of really interacting with what they were to do. Atreyu was certain that he would never get into magic and, despite her slight build, he couldn't imagine her exactly on a ship fixing the rigging or yelling out orders to anyone. Maybe it was just fate that he should meet such lovely women and never be able to actually do or go with them anywhere.

"That be a boon, then, I reckon," Atreyu pointed out, agreeing with the bit about her father. It was nice to have parents that actually were fundamental to what you were doing. He was thankful enough to still have two parents at all, having travelled most of his life at sea and not really seen much else. His parents were both rather healthy and he himself had come just fine, without a bought of fever or anything. His own father had been rather instrumental to his teaching, and Atreyu was proud to have a man like that to call his mentor.

"Am'teur or not, it be somethin'," he shrugged, looking about. He held out a hand, just in case she was into hand-shaking upon meeting. "I be Atreyu."

They hadn't actually formally done an introduction, so it was about time that he extended one. The young man's fiery hair sure set his personality back a few leagues, but he was different when he was around women. Sometimes, depending on how they treated him, Atreyu could be the suavest bastard known to man, but genuinely, he had a great respect and, as his mother taught him, he made it known that his intentions were for friendship.

"Pirate by 'eart an' soul, aye," he answered before the young woman could even ask the question. He knew that by her gaze, she probably had been wondering. Most people did anyway...or they figured it out.

This man seemed really nice, and... interesting by the way he spoke. You don't see someone acting like a pirate everyday! Unless he really is a pirate, then whatever Teresa has been thinking of him was just rude...

"Am'teur or not, it be somethin'," he said. Teresa smiled. Well, it's good to know that there's still people with respect! She remembered how much her family would lecture her on spells and whatnot; her father trained her until she was on the verge of fainting, her grandfather scolded her for being weak, and her aunts and uncles never believed in magic in the first place. In fact, Teresa's father was the only one who was actually interested in it, and gained the power to speak to animals. His brothers and sisters were the few of many who ridiculed those who knew magic was real. Her thought were interrupted as the young man introduced himself, he held out his hand. Teresa gladly took it.

"Nice to meet ya, Atreyu," she said, "I'm Teresa." Most of the time, it's difficult for her to mingle with new people; but she's been telling herself to try to be more outgoing anyway, so it's good that she's making some progress. Then again, Teresa's tomboy persona usually allowed her to get along well with boys since they share the same interests such as videogames and whatnot. Though since Atreyu acts more like a pirate, it may seem a bit more awkward.

"Pirate by 'eart an' soul, aye," Atreyu continued. Well, that confirmed her suspicions. Though you can't really say that they're suspicions at all because they were pretty obvious. Just buy a pirate costume, put it on him, then you got yourself a young pirate!

"Wow, did you sail the seas often before coming to AHS?" she asked, curiousity taking over her. She herself has a love for the sea, but rarely got the chance to actually sail. The only time that she has ever gone sailing is when she went on a cruise, but she didn't really think that counted since most of the guests were told to stay inside. Some cruise that was...

For a woman like this, Atreyu measured that she would be most approachable with the kindness rather than the brute mentality. Sure she would probably be wowed by his strength, but right now wasn't exactly the time to be demonstrating it. Maybe if Atreyu managed to run into her again somehow he could be able to show her how suave he could be, but that would take time. Atreyu was certainly a badass, but here in the library, it was rather hard to be one. He did have respect, afterall.

At least, Teresa seemed to notice there was heart in him, unlike Yang. What a woman. The two of them were definitely polar opposites now that Atreyu thought of it. He had been in there to do some research himself, but now that he had run into this young woman, Atreyu had other thoughts on his mind.

"Likewise," Atreyu replied to her introduction, taking her hand and giving it a quick kiss on the top. Well maybe it wouldn't be useless to employ some persuasiveness now. Teresa wasn't a name he heard often in the world, but at least this student seemed interested in his life. That was a start! "Aye, I be sailin' since me mum bore me! Me father 'as a ship. I be gettin' me own once I'm done 'ere. Ye outta come out with me! The sea be a vast beau'y. Ye ever been?"

The young pirate lord wondered if she was the type of girl who would get sick on a ship or be at the helm wanting to learn how to steer and navigate. It would certainly be entertaining to have someone like Teresa aboard, especially if Atreyu got to know her better and found her to be an amiable companion.

Teresa blushed a little when he kissed the top of her hand. Well, you don't see men doing this everyday! She really expected a firm handshake, but she supposed that that was okay as well. Besides, it shows that Atreyu is quite a respectful man! She nodded as he spoke of the sea, obviously intrigued by it. When he asked if she's ever been to the sea, she shrugged.

"I went on a cruise with my family once." she answered, "It was a nice way to get out to sea, but the thing is that we were told to stay inside for some reason. So we never really got to experience it fully." Half of Teresa's family knows magic, and apparently magicians seem to be more connected with their zodiac signs. Since Teresa was born a Cancer, her magic seems to be stronger when near a body of water and when the full moon is out. So she has a natural love for the sea anyway.

"But other than that I've never sailed or anything like that." she continued. Teresa's parents always worked hard, so they hardly ever go on vacation. That always disappointed her since they can't spend time together as a family as much as they should. But she's fine with it as long as they're safe and happy. But of course she would've liked it better if they were able to sail more often.

Atreyu certainly felt it his purpose to tell her how he felt about the whole thing. He offered his opinion rather unwaveringly because of the experiences he had had. Any time on the sea was worth it, though this cruise seemed entirely unproductive at all! Teresa might have had a decent time, but had she really experienced the ocean? Probably not! The pirate would have to fix that some day, if, of course, the young woman was willing. He couldn't rightly just snatch up a broad and bring her to his ship. At least she admitted that she hadn't had a full experience of it.

"It be the best o' times! Ye outta 'ave another go. I be glad ter take ye out sometime, or 'nother," Atreyu offered, smiling as he gestured widely, animatedly describing the ocean and its wonders. "Bein' on the ocean be only a great 'xperience if ye be on the deck! Open air! Clear skies! A bit o' birds 'ere an' there! A man can breathe an' feel free!"

At this, the librarian gave him a look that hushed him almost instantly, though he gave her a smirky cocky badass grin in return that made her huff even more and turn away. In a quieter voice, Atreyu continued, "Be it fer pleasure o' not, the ocean be the best out fer me. There be a peace there ain't nothing can compare."

He was sure that Teresa knew the same feeling with something else, or perhaps with the ocean too. How connected was she with the world? He didn't know.

"If ye ain't been sailin', where been ye?" Atreyu asked, curious.

Teresa smiled and listened intently on everything Atreyu was telling her. She nodded as he offered to take her to the sea. It would really be nice to finally get a full experience of being there! And the way he was describing the ocean with all his gestures was quite comical. When the librarian gave him a stern look, Teresa was a bit worried for a second that he might have to stop his little story, but tilted her head in slight confusion as to what might've made her stop. She didn't see what Atreyu did earlier to make the librarian go away, but as long as he continues his description, then it was fine with her.

"I'll bet." she said. Teresa envied Atreyu; he's able to go out and sail whenever he wants... maybe. Either way, he's been sailing for a while, and she only went once. Though most would believe that it didn't count. She wondered just how peaceful it is to be out in the ocean. The way her pirate friend described it, it must be a very nice experience.

"I'm just at home waiting for my parents to get off of work," she replied, "Or sleeping at school, I guess. We only went to one cruise, or at least as far as I remember. Mom and Dad work too hard... But yeah, I hardly ever went away from my house except for school. I guess you can say that that cruise was my only 'real' vacation."

Atreyu eyed Teresa's facial expressions as she watched him speak and reacted. Her eyes widened here and there, his lips curved slowly, her cheeks spread and her eyebrows raised now and then. Her arms were even at her sides, slender and rather elegant in his opinion. Ah, how females had a way of looking so very pleasant in their simplicity sometimes. Atreyu appreciated her attention and rewarded it with more grand illustrations of the ocean and its wonders. He was happy that she seemed so interested in it all. Most women would probably be tired of hearing it from him, especially if they had a troubling time understanding him through his accent.

The pirate lord, his mop of unruly red hair shaking as he shook his head, gave her a lop-sided grin. "I ain't ne'er really been on a vacation. We be travelin' so much, it ain't much the same, if ye get me meanin'."

Atreyu looked at her straight on as he spoke, students around them bustling to study and moving to pull books off the shelves. To him, this was white noise. Atreyu had learned over the years to be observant to the things around him without actually looking, so the gestures were not unnoticed, just placed in a very low priority in his mind. If something happened, though, his reactions would prove true. Wondering what Teresa thought about her classes, Atreyu asked, "Ye ain't sleepin' at school 'cause ye find it all borin' do ye? Classes 'nd all?"

If that was the case, then Atreyu would be happy to relieve Teresa of all the boring work she was doing! They could go out together for some fun...but no, she didn't seem to be that open of a young woman. Better if he disciplined himself and studied, finding the books he would need here. really, Atreyu realized too late that it would be hazardous for him to be in the library. So many books to shelve in so many different ways, and his OCD flared in the back of his mind, shoving forward to force his hands to absentmindedly push some books close to him on the shelves to match with the ones next to them Of course, this created a chain reaction, especially since some books were shorter or longer than others. He resisted, focussing on Teresa as best as he could.

The young female student raised an eyebrow and tilted her head in a confused fashion. She was slightly puzzled that he wouldn't consider traveling to be vacation. Teresa would do almost anything to have a trip like that! Perhaps Atreyu has done it so many times that it isn't exactly relaxing? Maybe, maybe not... Either way, she pushed the thought away and continued to listen to her red-headed friend.

"Ye ain't sleepin' at school 'cause ye find it all borin' do ye? Classes 'nd all?" he asked. Teresa put on a slightly disgusted face. Like any other teenager, or at least most of them, she absolutely loathed school. If it were not for her parents' discipline, she would've skipped school everyday. Rubbing the back of her neck, she answered,

"'Course I find it boring. The teacher rambles on too much to the point of where I sleep." Though the only good thing about that is that she catches up on sleep. Teresa is a "videogame addict." After classes, she would usually take a nap, finish homework, and then play videogames for...pretty much the rest of the night. One could say that she stays up until dawn, yet surprisingly receives decent grades. Most of the time, she gets B-'s along with the rare A+'s. Her parents are against playing games during the week in the school year, but Teresa figured that if she keeps her grades up, she'll be able to play for as long as she wants. Besides, having a roommate in AHS that also loves this hobby tempts her even more to carry on with this plan.

"I've never had an interest for school in the first place," she continued, shrugging, "But as long as my parents keep checkin' up on my academics, I gotta deal with it." Once, she skipped a class with her boyfriend, and they didn't get caught at all. Teresa laughed in her thoughts. The teachers never even suspected! She considered doing it again sometime, but as she said earlier, as long as her family looks up her grades, she must attend, much to her dislike, school.

Atreyu enjoyed watching Teresa's reactions. It was amusing to him to see them, almost like a painting within a painting. The students behind her and the people that moved to and from were like a pastoral scene, stilled in time rather than actually shifting. In the pirate's eyes it seemed as if colours blurred and swirled, but always focussed on the young woman ahead of him. Perhaps things were a lot more centered because he allowed his fingers to move along the surface of the books around him. Atreyu let the tips of his calloused digits continue to rove as he faced the girl.

Her reaction to school was typical, though stronger than he would have imagined from her. She seemed like such a laid back, calm girl that anything of vivid opinion was bolder than one would expect. She seemed to be very much so tied to her parents in more ways than she would probably realize, but Atreyu was the same. He attributed all of his success to his parents and all the generosity they had bestowed on him.

"I ain't been ter many classes, yet," Atreyu replied, casually as he thought of the whole thing. He had just transferred in afterall, and he was a lot older than most of the students, so it was a bit awkward for him to attend the classes. He felt guilty that he wasn't using the money his parents paid with in terms of classes, credit, and education, but at the same time, Atreyu was a rebel, so his parents had to know he wasn't attending ALL the classes he probably should've. Still, the young man knew that if he did not finish high school here they would never let him sail the sea again. He would be landed forever! Marooned!

"Me 'rents be checkin' on me ev'ry so," Atreyu agreed, with both a look and a sigh. He understood where she was coming from. His parents, although they travelled, tried hard to keep up with how he was doing. The pirate hadn't sent them any letters though recently, and that was a problem. He probably should.

"Ye 'ave any siblin's?" the young man asked, he himself an only child. The sea was really not the life and environment for raising a child.

((OOC: I'm sooo sorry! I've been really really busy lately and haven't been able to get to the computer TT_TT It was like torture, I tell you, torture!))

Atreyu's reply was rather brief of his class history. Teresa figured that he wasn't one who enjoyed school either. Well...who would? She didn't know why anybody would like to attend school at their own interest; though she understood if they were forced or something like that. Other than that, almost everybody she knows are just bored by school or absolutely despise it to the point of quitting themselves. Teresa was sort of like that, but wouldn't dare defy her mother and father. She knows that this is for the welfare of her future and everything, but really...must you know the history of the building of the Great Wall of China to get a job? Nope...or at least she didn't think so...

She gave a soft smile as he mentioned his parents for two reasons. One, there's parents like hers that make sure their kids are safe and sound. It would be nice to not have them check up, like, five times a week, yet it was reassuring that they care. Two, Teresa (finally) isn't the only one whose parents are doing this! Really, at her former school, most of her friends' parents didn't really care. Heck, most of them walked back home rather than driving there! The thought of families acting so uncaring towards a child sickened her.

"Oh, yeah I have siblings!" she said, brightening up at the question, "I've got an older brother and a younger sister. I'm obviously the middle out of three." Teresa loved speaking about her family. She didn't know if Atreyu wanted the details of their personalities or anything, but at least she just answered the question.

"How 'bout you?"

((OOC: Totally no probs. I'm super busy too. >.o I understand.))

As soon as Teresa mentioned having siblings, Atreyu felt a wilting feeling in a part of him. Half of him loved being the only child to his parents. They really doted on him more and took care of him better since they were always away anyway. He assumed that it had just been easier for them to have only one offspring to really provide for. Still, whenever he thought about having brothers or sisters he had a strangely skippy feeling inside. He often saw the children running around or playing around port whenever they docked. Wherever he tried to attend school, his classmates always had siblings to argue with or to help them.

Atreyu was happy for Terea, looking at her and thinking that it was not possible she could be an only child. She looked and sounded, acted, like she was a middle child. He should have guessed. Offering up a smile, the young pirate nodded. "I ain't got me no broth'rs o' sisters. I be an only child."

He shrugged a little, giving his usual cocky, lop-sided grin. "It be a'ight. Lonely sometimes, but it be fun all the same. Since I be on me father's ship, there be people enough 'round. 'is crew always been me mates."

Gesturing in a sort of casual way he learned was customary on land, Atreyu continued, "Be it tough ter 'ave yer siblins'? Disagreements much o' else? Be they right fun?"

Teresa couldn't help but feel happy as she spoke about her family to another friend. She's obviously glad to have them with her; though it was a bit saddening when she found out that she was going to a boarding school. She would miss all those inside jokes with her siblings, playing videogames with them, heck, she'd even miss the arguments they'd get into! Teresa just cannot put an image in her head in which she would be an only child.

Listening to Atreyu's answer, she grinned at how he's still alright with a crew to spend time with. It's nice to have more people around you even if you have no siblings. Well actually, there's a different relationship between brothers and sisters than just friends. It's a closer and more loving bond. But at least Atreyu is not one to be so easily broken by something like this. Not that it's a big deal since he's been an only child for years.

"Yeah, it's fun to have them around. We just play videogames, play jokes on each other, that sort of stuff. But we can get rough when we argue, y'know? Especially between me and my sister. It'll start off with an insult and then we get into a huge wrestle!"

Thankfully, neither of the two girls is strong enough to actually break a bone or anything, so there's not a lot of damage when they fight. Teresa was relieved by that; violence really can solve problems! Or at least in their case it can...

Wrestling was something that Atreyu was familiar with. If they were not fencing aboard or retaliating from cannon-fire with their own, wrestling was often a past-time on the ship. Gambling was also something that was largely popular. Atreyu himself had done a few games, but not many. He preferred not wrestling, but sometimes it was unavoidable, especially when the men liked to train to be stronger. Because it was more of a hassle to carry large weights on the boat (any amount of extra weight was bothersome), Atreyu and the men would simply work out with what they could have. Of course, it was enough to be doing the rigging, knots, steering, swabbing, etc...to really gain muscle, so the young man didn't worry.

He wondered more so what it was like for Teresa to wrestle with her sister. That was an odd sight. Of course, it was not unimagineable, mostly because the young pirate lord had seen plenty of women beat each other up for less, but it was interesting to believe the mild-tempered girl in front of him dressed in her school uniform and rather proper-like capable of fighting roughly.

"Be ye 'urtin' each other much?" Atreyu questioned. Whenever he had seen women fight, they had been very brutal, pulling hair and even using weapons! Pirates were known to be women at times, and of course in this day and age, there were more and more of them. The young man didn't mind at all. Sometimes women worked harder than men on the ship!

Thinking about what she had said moments ago though, the pirate added. "I ain't e'er played no video games."

It was to be expected since electricity was not something a ship would usually have. Atreyu wondered what those were like. His mentor had told him about them, but not much else. No images or anything, just the name and a description.

Shaking her hand left and right, Teresa answered,

"Nah, my sis and I don't get that rough. At least not enough to break each other's bones... Besides, we know that our parents would kill us if they found out we did something like that." Of course, her mother and father never did. Both girls knew very well that their parents are scary when disciplining them. So whenever they'd fight, they'd move to another room (with a carpet) to wrestle. Usually they would continue for about an hour or so; but if they're really mad, then it would go longer. Unfortunately for their brother, he has to make sure that they don't kill each other. One could call him the "referee."

Moreover, the two sisters aren't very strong. Since Teresa is very lazy, she is not too athletic or lean. And as for her sister, they have a four year difference, so she's weaker no matter what. It's a bad thing that Teresa lacks any athletic ability, but it's actually good when it comes to their quarrels.

Listening to Atreyu's last comment, Teresa's jaw dropped. Obviously for a hardcore gamer like herself, it's hard to believe that there's one person who hasn't played any videogames.

"Are you serious?!" she said in disbelief. It was somewhat loud considering the united "Sshhh!" from the surrounding students. For a moment, the young girl gained a hint of red in her cheeks for disturbing the peace of the library. But that disappeared once she remembered what her pirate friend just said. Lowering her voice to a whisper once more, she continued.

"Eh, what I meant was, how come you've never played them before? Is it because you sail a lot?" Teresa was once again feeling a pang of envy within herself. However, this time, it wasn't as strong. This is because this catches her between two of her favorite things in the world: living a life at sea and entertainment (preferrably videogames).

Atreyu laughed when Teresa mentioned bone-breaking. It was something that he was accustomed to actually witnessing. Although he himself had not seen many battles, for pirate ships were a lot scarcer these days and often made loose treaties with one another for the sake of looting properties, Atreyu had seen many pirates without limbs and also knew the crunch of a cannonball all too well. A ship was one thing, a man was another. The cannonball, however, did not distinguish from either.

Atreyu had always been encouraged to fight, spar at least, so it was nothing to do with his parents whether or not he did it. He had a lot of fun fighting by hand with Alana when they were younger, but she really was a tough young lady and the pirate, as a young lad, believed that she would grow up just as strong as he. It turned out to be true, because the woman was now a young lady, about his age, and ready to sail the seas with him as first mate! In some ways, Atreyu felt they had been destined to adventure together. He trusted her beyond anyone. She was, afterall, the closest to a sibling he had.

Atreyu was surprised when Teresa's voice rose immediately, pitchy and bright as she questioned his lack of video games. He thought it had been so self-evident that in some ways, the young man saw a bit of innocent and naivete in the young woman. She was probably a couple years younger than him and solely focussed on her wants more than her overall life. Since she seemed to have an obsession with it, Atreyu thought that it would be a good point to discuss. Anything to keep the ball going was good for him. He wanted to know more about Teresa, especially if they were going to be friends.

"I 'aven't the time o' the place," Atreyu admitted, smiling through his red eyes a bit sheepishly. He offered up a shrug, his muscles contracting as he did. "I be sailin' an' we don' be 'avin' much 'lectricity. I ain't e'en 'wares of what it look like."

The young man would be interested to see what Teresa had to show him in the way of video games. Perhaps the young woman would teach him how to and he would find a new hobby to entice him. Atreyu was always looking to learn new things and finding out about some new treasure like that of the modern age would be a good thing to know. The world, afterall, was progressing. "Ye 'ave er...some 'ere? At school? I'd be in'erest'd ter play, 'least once."

Teresa believed that if he sailed so much, perhaps he would've stopped somewhere to explore new forms of entertainment and whatnot. Or at least know what it looks like.

"Of course I brought some here!" she chimed, "I don't think I'd live through high school if I didn't bring any." It was a small obsession of hers to play these games. She grew up playing them along with her brother and sister, and found it to be a very fun way to just hang out and have some friendly competition. Of course, there are a couple of negative qualities of getting addicted to these. Videogames are the reason why Teresa gained a sluggish personality and turns down exercising. But of course, she wouldn't want to gain too much weight, so it didn't take that much of a toll on her health. Also, the bright screen hurts her eyes after playing it for hours and hours. She can totally admit that it's got some bad habits from playing them; she just can't get herself away from them.

"I've got all my games in my Dorm room. If ya want, we can play together sometime." Teresa would love to share the experience of videogames with Atreyu. Anybody that hasn't played them sounds pretty sad through her eyes. But she must say, Atreyu seems to be fine without them anyway. If he wants to find out what they are, she'd be more than happy to, though.

Atreyu was at once overjoyed when Teresa responded that she had some video games at her disposal. He was far too curious now to NOT find out what they were. Of course, he could see them in books and learn about them on the internet if he tried to figure it out, but Atreyu liked learning things from people best. He felt that things were much more personal and there was a greater hint of history between two people when learning was taking place than simply from a relationship with a textbook. This idea was also part of the reason why he didn't enjoy class much. In school, the teachers and students had less of a relationship because the teachers had so many students to teach. It really was inevitable.

"Grand!" Atreyu responded, clasping his hands together happily. He gestured for Teresa to show him the way. He wanted to see them now now now. He was a man of the present, living to learn every moment and to explore the uncharted lands! "Let's be off then! I aim ter learn straight away!"

The young man never thought any situation too bold. Sure, the people around them were now starting to glare at their loud whispers and excited talk, but that wasn't what prompted the pirate's attitude. He truly wished to know, and blowing some red bangs out of his eyes, he gave Teresa a cunning smile. The librarians would probably kick them out soon anyway. "Ye up ter it? I ain't so learn'd in compu'ers 'r anythin' 'lectronic wise. Ye be willin' ter teach me it? I been after 'stablishin' meself a...em....'lectronic mail fer a while."

Atreyu had no e-mail, no computer, no cell phone, no regular phone, no laptop, no nothing. He was totally and completely technologically illiterate when it came to electronics. In terms of ships and trade, he was perfectly fine, but in this, he was lost. It would be awesome to have someone show him the ropes.

An amused chuckle came from Teresa as Atreyu replied. Well, he's obviously very eager to try new things!

"'Course I'll teach ya!" she said, pointing a thumb to herself, "When it comes to playing videogames, I'm an expert!" She's played them for as long as she can remember. Even when she was just a small, fragile child she always spent time with her father and siblings!

Noticing some students whispering nasty things about the two new friends, Teresa wondered if it was just about time to go. There were some groups giving annoyed complaints and name-calling them, whereas the few librarians cast them stern glares. Heck, the people around them were telling on them and ordering the teachers to kick them out! How can they help it though? Their conversation was a rather enjoyable one!

"Eh, when it comes to e-mail, you're gonna need a computer for that and create an e-mail account. Simple as that. I've got a laptop over at my Dorm room, too. If you want, we can make one for you when we get there."

((OOC: Would you be willing to make a new thread in the dorms? :) I'll finish this one up!))

Atreyu got the hint from the people around them and promptly took Teresa by the arm, not harshly, but strong enough that she had to follow him away from the towering bookshelves and toward the brightly lit exit to the whole place. As they passed, his shoes clunking against the tile floor, Atreyu flashed a sly grin at the librarians. If he had had a hat on, he'd probably have tipped it toward them mockingly. The man really was a scoundrel.

"I think we be best ter be off," Atreyu commented. He was glad that Teresa called herself an expert. He wanted to learn from the best! In this sort of childish thing though, he was not altogether too concerned with legitimacy. "I be more 'en pleased if ye be up ter showin' me back ter ye own room. I be needin' ter learn these things if I be stayin' 'ere."

Not that Atreyu wanted to get all close and person with Teresa, well maybe so, but he thought that learning things in private as well would be less...embarrassing. The young pirate had a reputation to hold up now didn't he? If he grew older and ran across these people in the future, he didn't want to be trifled with. He wanted to be feared! Besides, if people spread word that he was not all he was cracked up to be, Atreyu would have a hard time keeping a crew. "Ye be 'aving ter go real slow, I reckon. I ain't so smart with these new things."
