Mr. E: All right, boys and girls, it's everyone's favorite reporter, Mr. E with another interview! Last time, I sat down with a graduate, the lovely Diana McClure! This time, we're sitting down with a student, 10th grader Tekka Novo!
Tekka Novo: Heh, it;s nice to be here and all Mr. E.
Mr. E: Don't you know it! Now Tekka, to start this off, tell the readers about yourself! A little bit of background on who you are.
Tekka: Well, I'm relatively new around school, si I doubt anyone would really know me. I'm from the U.S. Started in Baltimore and ended up in Oakland. I transferred out here recently in the pursuit to be a Meta-Human researcher. But that's a bit hard and I barely understand myself, ya know?
Mr. E: Well, if you're looking for self-discovery, eh? Well, this is the place to be then! Anyways, so you want to be a Meta-Human Researcher? What made you want to get into that field? Especially when prospects are bound to be slim considering Meta-Humans are unknown to almost the entire world?
Tekka: Well, like I said, it's more to understand myself. And I know how hard and worrisome it is to know understand your own abilities with something goes wrong. Sure, the world may not know much about us, but when they do, wouldn't it be better to supply them with plenty of information? If they understand us, maybe they won't fear us like how some of us fear ourselves.
Mr. E: That's a good point! I don't know how people would react to find out about us, but honestly I can't say I want to know!
Tekka: Well, that's a bridge we'll pass when we come to it. Until then, I'm just out to keep myself as me, if you know what I mean. Being a changling causes little identity crisis' sometimes.
Mr. E: Oh? An identity crisis?
Tekka: Well, the things I change into have instincts of their own and they overpower me when I don't understand them enough to keep them in check. Just last week I had a problem that ended on an embarrassing note with a female friend of mine.
Mr. E: Ok, I gotta hear about this, tell us what happened!
Tekka: I'll omit her name to save her some embarrassment, but in my sleep, I had changed into a Thunder Bird. And well....the thing had a fetish for electricity. So to regain control of my own sense, I needed something my human side was sexually attracted to, which at the moment...was...well her.
Mr. E: Oh my! Though I assume everything worked out in the end?
Tekka: It did and we are on less awkward terms now. Though, for fear of something of the sort happening again, I've been studying myself most of the time.
Mr. E: If you don't mind me asking, what have you learned so far?
Tekka: Well so far, I've learned that the Thunder Bird is attracted to electricity and the Green Monkey loves shiny square things. And now that I've learned that I can change into more than one thing, I know that the key to unlocking any other shifts will revolve around me understand what they are and how they work. So I'll just have to keep an eye out for unusual feelings within myself.
Mr. E: Hmm, I see, I see! Now, we've talked about why've come here and some stuff about your powers themselves, but tell me, how did your powers manifest in the first place?
Tekka: Well, I pretty much woke up one day and was a little green monkey. I freaked out and wouldn't come out of my room. But my parents talked me out of it. After losing my sister, they didn't want to lose me either. And they figured a cute little green monkey is still worth having around. But know that I know a bit more about my abilities, I'm sure the transformation probably trigged from that silver cube pendant my ex-girlfriend gave me.
Mr. E: What makes you believe that?
Tekka: Well, the green monkey loves shiny green objects. I assume that sleeping with the thing on made him come out. Kind of like how the Thunder Bird released when I passed the power station earlier in the day. I'm not one hundred percent sure on anything, but it's a solid place to start.
Mr. E: Makes sense to me. Now to wrap this whole thing up, is there anything you want to tell all the people out there reading this interview?
Tekka: Well, I'm new and I don't know many peopel, so i just look forward to metting as many of you as possible!
Mr. E: There you go, folks, Tekka Novo!
