There was a commotion in the hallway that everyone seemed to be avoiding. It had emptied out pretty quickly and other students didn't bother to mess around with what was happening. In the almost clear hallway, there were three guys and what looked to be a girl. The girl was small, just a little less than five feet and was dressed in a maid outfit. The three guys, all much taller and bigger than the girl seemed to push the girl around and toward one of the janitor's closets. All the onlookers that avoided the situation and walked off knew that the guys were going to stuff the girl into the locker for who knew what. However, whether it was luck or fate, one person did move down the hallway. Dressed in a loose black tank to and a short black skirt with two white stripes along the base of the hem was another small girl, shorter than the one that was being pushed around. She danced down the hall with her headphones in her ears and her long black pigtails swaying side to side as she moved. She was listening to.Cirno's Perfect Arithmetic Classroom by IOSYS. And just after the three guys stuffed the girl into the janitor's closet, Nijiko bumped into one of them. The three guys looked at each other. "You want to go in there too little girl!?" One of them asked, grabbing Nijiko's forearm. She looked up at them and blinked. "Hey you dummy, I can’t walk with you holding me!" She yelled to them. They looked at each other and laughed only to have Nijiko grab the one guy's arm and pry his hand off of her arm. She then proceeded to lift and toss him down the hall a few feet. The other two looked at her surprised and one guy pulled out a strand of his hair to flick it and have it suddenly turned into a sword. But by the time he had finished to process, Nijiko firmly planted her knee into his chin and knocked him up into the air a few feet before having him falling back down to the ground. The third guy, seeing as how his friends failed turned and ran. Smiling, Nijiko walked on, getting all the way down to the other side of the hallway before stopping. "Wait a second..." She muttered, walking back up and then opening the door to see the girl inside. Tilting her head, Nijiko smiled. "Wow, this school's employees are not only small, but dressed oddly too!" |

"Candy!" Yakumo said when waking up from his nap. Being this small and cute meant that you needed to constantly be hyped on candy. Ru hasn't eaten any candy for a few hours and was starting to feel a mellow crashing effect which he did not like at all. He stretched and got up. "Need candy" he said rubbed his face. He was wearing pajamas even though it was only a a nap. He got out of his room and walked around aimlessly. Maybe the cafeteria had some. Where was the cafeteria though? He had never been to it. The dorms turned in a long hallway that had doors to all the classrooms. He walked over to various doors and looked inside. They were probably going to be the only normal thing in the school. He kept walking until he saw the hallway open up. He saw a vending machine in the distance which he swore was magically glowing, it was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. Yakumo ran over to it and reached for his pockets for change. He began to press buttons as fast he could until a chocolate bar came out. He dived into the holding pocket and grabbed the bar. He ripped it open and began to eat wildly. He eventually called down now that he had a little bit of sugar in his stomach. Soon he felt the presence of three large people looming over him. "Oh isn't she cute" one of them said. Yakumo turned to face them and immediately sunk back into the machine. "I smell freshman" another one said "Fresh meat" asaid another. One of them reached out and grabbed him. "NO!!!!" he screamed and they laughed. They grabbed him and carried him off. He tried kicking and fidgeting but their grip was too good. "Hey Freshman, you're gonna clean this whole school...but first we can't have you wearing pajamas, you need the proper attire." one said pulled out a maid outfit. They ripped off his pajamas and threw on the outfit. It was light colored with a red ribbon around waist and a white frilly apron. Yakumo was crying...he wanted to be left alone. "Perfect now you need your supplies" they said and dragged him off again by the arm. He screamed and tried holding onto the edges of walls and lockers but he was to weak. Soon there was people watching the situation. His first day he was going to be bullied...I wanna go home i hate highschool he thought crying. The ys topped next to a closet and opened it. It was gross...it had old mops and nasty cleaning supplies. They pushed him around and then into the closet. "No!!" he said screamed but they closed the door. He sunk back into the closet and put hugged knees. After a few seconds he heard them talking. why cant they just leave me alone. By the sounds of it someone else was being bullied...but it didn't sound like someone smaller than them. He heard them yelling and the sounds of large bodies falling to the ground and people running. What was happening he thought and got more scared. When it was over he heard footsteps walking away...great now he was going to be in hear all night. Then he heard the door open. A light began to fill the closet as he saw a small girl standing there. she said. Ru dived out onto the floor and held on the girls leg tightly. He still had know idea what happend to the bullies. |

Nijiko hopped a little as the maid flew out of closet and latched onto her legs. She blinked, looking down at her and tilting her head. "What's up with you maid? Get off my legs!" She said, kicking herself free and backing up and looking at the girl oddly. Flicking one of the earphones from her ear, she looked pointed her finger to the girl. "Grabbing people like that is dangerous! I could have like....kicked you and like....it would have hurt a lot and stuff!" She yelled and then smiled. She then walked next to the girl on the floor and then knelt down, extending a hand to help her up. Her short skirt just barely hid her tiny butt from the public view as she did. "By the way, the name is Nijiko, nice to meet ya.....I think. I did have to hurt some bad people..." She said with a sweat drop and glancing around to make sure that they were gone. |

Ru was thankful to be out of that closet that he was grabbing the girl tightly. She hopped a bit and kicked and he started to loosen up. he let go before the girl kicked him in the face. He started bowing thankfully.
That was true, for all he knew the girl could've freaked out and kicked him in the face or hurt him, but to be honest anything was better than...that place. He was only in there for a few minutes but he was gasping for air...clean..er air. His hands!! HE touched the nasty dirty mop with hand...and the floor too. The noticed the girl had knelt down and extended a hand. He took it and they both got up.
That was right..the bullies, so that's what he heard...but how did she manage to get rid of all of them... This place is weird. He kept that in the back of his mind. "Thank you...so much...they dragged me...and..and..." Yakumo said trying to stop crying. "My name is Yakumo but call me Ru" |

After helping the girl up, Nijiko smiled. "No problem Ru-chan." She said sticking her tongue out. She wasn't use to honorifics, which was odd considering she was Japanese. And this was one of the first times she had used them properly. Having grown up all around the world, Nijiko was definitely far from how a normal Japanese pre-teen should have been. "People that pick on maids aren't cool at all. If you have any more problems with them, let me talk to them. I'm like super awesome strong and stuff!" She said; flexing to show off her bony and incredible non-muscle powered arms. In fact, she looked to be even weaker than Ru. And it was true, Nijiko had no muscles to show for her strength, but she was, in fact, very strong. "I'll give them a chop right to the back of the neck!" She said motioning that attack at the air. She giggled a bit and then looked back to Ru. "Well Ru, wanna come and join me for a snack. I'm going to buy some milk. The school's maids are allowed breaks right?" She asked, tilting her head a bit as she stuffed her dropped headphone back into her ear. |

Ru and Nijiko giggled at the joke. The girl looked so weak that it was hard to believe that she could do any sort of damage to a pillow. But then again the bullies were no longer bothering him..so there was some truth in that joke. Still though it was nice to be in the company of someone stronger than him. He needed protection.
"SNACK!!" he called out when heard the word..it reminded him that he never finished his candy bar...it was probably gone... Wait... wait a minute..."Wait...I'm...not a maid..I'm student!!! They dressed me like this" he said "Maybe i should change first..." |

Nijiko looked at him confused. "Of course you're a maid...you're in a maid outfit aren't you." She said, nodding with her own sound logic. "Why would some one put a girl in a maid outfit if she wasn't a maid? That doesn't make any sense at all." She added, turning around and pointing down the hall. There's a refrigerated vending machine down there somewhere. It should have some milk in it." She smiled and took the girl by the hand. She then started to make her way down the hall as it started to fill with people again. Now that the danger was gone, people were returning to normal and minding their own business. Nijiko was on a mission. She loved to drink milk, almost as if she should have been born a kitty cat. "It doesn't matter, you can stay like that. Let me just get my milk, okay!? Then we can get you changed or whatever." |

Yakumo was tired of being called a maid and his face began to puff up and shook fists downward. "I'm not a maid!!!they dressed me like this!!!" he said as the girl grabbed his hand. He was led down the hall until they got to another vending machine. Everyone was minding there business but a few people looked. Usually he loved it but now he was just glowing red in embarrassment. The only thing that could make him feel better was chocolate. This vending machine was a little large and cooled. Many different drinks were inside like sodas, juice, but more importantly milk. He waited for the girl to get her milk before he dived onto the machine and slammed buttons. A bottle of chocolate milk rolled out. He cuddled it close to his face "I love you" he said "What kind of snacks do you have Ni-chan?" |

Smiling and seemingly ignoring the girl, Nijiko made it up to the vending machine. She slapped in her change and out came her bottle of milk. With a happy smile, she pulled the cap off and started to chug down at least half of it before she took a break to look at Ru. Wiping her lip with her wrist, she smiled. "Why would they dress you like that? That's...weird." She said with a small laugh. She saw her with the bottle of chocolate milk and took another sip of her own bottle. "Snacks? Anything is fine really; I don't eat a lot of sugar. I'm more focused on growing so I can become big and stronger like my daddies. That's why I love milk so much." She added, taking another sip and glancing around the hall. As she did, the left side of her loose tank fell down her arm a bit. And with a quick adjustment, it was back to its normal position. "Sooo.....if you aren't a maid...and you are a student...where are you headed? If you aren't going to clean, then what are you going to do?" |

With the newly acquired chocolate milk his previous emotions were null and void The past was behind him and bullies probably learned their lesson. He laughed with Ni. "They crept me out. They were going to make me clean the school with a toothbrush or something...kind of silly." he said laughing. He ripped out the bottle and gulped it down. "How can you not love sugar...sweets are like..gods love rolled up into a chocolaty center. Personally I'm nut in any rush to grow...my sisters say that it changes your life...and I'm happy the way it is now" he said and turned to face the hall that they came from. "Hmmm...well before i left my room i was taking a nap...so i guess I'm not doing anything..wanna hang out? I just finished making my room" he said. |

Nijiko shook her head as Ru spoke to her. "But if I don't grow, I can't increase my reach. It’s hard to get into some one face to strike when I'm small. Even with my uber strength, I'll need reach to get in good. Plus, when I'm grown up, I can participate in real tournaments and fight real masters. It excites me!" She said with a peppy hop. She chugged down a bit more of her milk, leaving only a little left. She looked to the girl. Nodding, Nijiko took the last few sips of her milk. "Sure, that sounds like fun! I'm not doing anything yet today anyway!" She said, with a smile and wiping her upper lip again to get rid of the access milk. "Lead the way Ru-chan!" |

Yakumo shrugged "I'm not a fighter, as far as i see it being small just makes me more cute. And that's perfect for me...Especially because small statures also make it easier to skate. It gives you a nice low center of gravity." he said and pointed to his waist. "Maybe i could teach you to skate!!!" Yakumo chugged the rest of his milk and wiped his mouth his arm/. The maid outfit was really loose like it was a blanket. He grabbed Ni's arm and ran down the hall. Kids already in the hall jumped to either side to avoid the two of them running. He stopped in a sudden halt and opened the door to his dorm room. It was like a parallel dimension. The room was bright and colorful and filled with anime posters and toys. (for a more detailed explanation go here: Linkage) Yakumo hoped onto his bed and waited for her to come in. Next to him was a desk with a few different pictures of his family especially and old of him dressed as a regular boy. This pic was taken when he was maybe five and was the only pic that exists of him in regular clothing. He had it closer to the back behind the rest of the pics. |

Nijiko looked at the girl and crossed her arms. "You can fight and be cute too. My daddies say that I'm cute all the time. And I'm smaller than you...does that make me cuter than you...?" She said, suddenly confusing herself. She thought for a moment and then smiled. "You called me cute! Thankies." She said with a wide smile. "And skating sounds like fun. We should go some time, but you aren't allowed to laugh if I fall, okay?" She said to her, uncrossing her arms and waving her finger back and forth. And then, as the girl took her arm, she forward smiling as she was led and moved at the girl's pace with her own set of music playing in the background through her headphones. Upon making it to the room, Nijiko clasped her heads together and smiled. "This looks like one of my brother's rooms...except not as bright or clean. He likes anime a lot too!" She said with a smile. "I don't really get the stuff, but the action stuff is cool!" She said tilting her head a bit as she smiled. She followed Ru to the bed and plopped herself onto it. The pictures on the desk completely bypassed Nijiko. After all, outside of fighting, Nijiko wasn't a very observant person. In fact, she was quite dense. "So...Ru...are you actually Japanese? Cause like...I've been to a lot of schools in different places and this school is the first one that had so few people from the country that it is in. I'm a bit disappointed to not see that many Japanese people after finally coming to Japan again." |

"But what's the fun of skating if you don't fall?"He said. Ru laughed at the comment of his room "Its only clean because i just got here...my room at home is covered in candy wrappers and dvds. I love cartoons espicially love stories...and comedy. I have every cd from every anime i have seen. He said and pulled out his cd book which was full of music cd's displaying various cartoon characters and logos. He left it on the bed and rolled off. "I was born in a log cabin, I walked a hundred miles from morning to night to get to school. My dog Yeller had cancer and died...hahaha...But no really yes I am Japanese...I thought everyone here was. I am from Tokyo...which like what a train ride away...maybe someday i can take you there!! It is so much fun...I know a place where you can fight for money...but my daddy says i can't go there because it is dangerous...and illegal." |

Nijiko looked over at Ru with a confused face. "L-log cabin....?" She muttered as she tried to imagine such a thing. And then she tilted her head as told the truth and said the previous statement was made up. After it clicked some few seconds later, she smiled and nodded. "Oh! That's cool! I don't know where in Japan was I was, but living in Tokyo sounds cool. Maybe one day I can go with you to visit your family. Now that we are friends and all!" She said, officially establishing them as friends in her mind. Though, I wonder why a place like that is bad? Fighting there sounds like a lot of fun." |

Well my sisters friends took us there one time...well they weren't friends but that's not the point....anyways they brought us there and lot of guys were giving us weird looks, they looked dirty and poor...also the place was like dark and the floors were sticky and it had a weird smell. Also everyone swore and yelled alot. Oh!! And i remember these two guys were fighting..but it wasn't like wrestling on t.v they had real weapons and also they were bleeding" Yakumo reached into his drawer and pulled out a photo album. He flipped it a few pages. He pointed to a muscular man with black skin. He hugged Ru with one arm and the two sisters with another the guy was beaten and had a bloody smile....the two sisters were incredibly scared and uncomfortable but Ru was smiling and waving. "I got to talk to the winner..he was really nice and bought my sisters drinks" he said and gave Ni the album. |

Nijiko listened to Ru and nodded attentively. It interested her a whole lot. Though, she doubted she'd be allowed to go to such a place, she did want to test her skills against the people that were there. After all, she enjoyed being able to be a fun fights. She watched as Ru filled through the book. She looked over at the pictures that were taken but didn't pay too much mind to them. And then, when she got to the picture of interest, Nijiko took the book and smiled. "He looks like a fun fight! I bet I could take him!" She said, with a devious look in her eyes. She smiled and set the book on her lap, looking back at Ru. "So you have sisters? What's that like? I only have brothers, four of them, and four daddies too!" |
