The 101 Cancer Patient Challenge~!
Name: Michael Diluca

Keyword: D1509

Age: 15
DOB: 05/29/1994

Gender: Male

School: AHS

Grade: 9

Race: Meta-human

Appearance/Clothing: Standing a little over five feet tall, Michael usually lets his straight dark hair grow until it starts getting below his brow. While the area around his deep brown eyes is warn and dark beyond his years, the rest of his face holds a healthy looking color in between average ears that ascend slightly when he smiles. His nose could be considered long, but not overly protruding, and the nostrils are flanked by laugh lines that come up from his mouth, where chapped lips suffer under the habit of his tongue either out while he works or licking them out of boredom. His jaw line is distinct, but overall his complexion leans towards a boyish fullness that he has yet to grow out of. Michael is skinnier than the average for his age and likes to wear loose blue jeans and t-shirts with funny sayings on them, anything as long as it's bright and colorful. There are many scars spread randomly over his body, including a large horizontal one on his forehead, just below the hair line.

Personality: A large piece of his personality that can be attributed to his power and despite his smaller physical stature, Michael always feels the need to protect everyone. He works to avoid physical conflict, knowing that when words turn into fists, he'll be the one shouldering all the injuries, as his innate sense of duty does not allow him to walk away from anyone who is injured. This does not leave him downtrodden or pessimistic, rather the opposite, he feels a sense of pride when he helps people and never sways from optimism. Often speaking candidly, he also strives to feel or experience empathy for the people around him. Cheeriness is a trait he picked up under the pretense that "laughter is the best medicine" and Michael likes making jokes at his own expense, but is poor at sarcasm, despite his liberal application of it.

Special Powers/Weapons:

Physical Empathy-
Coming from a long and unknown line of spiritual healers, Michael is the first in several hundred years to have such talent in the art of healing, though it comes at a price. Utilizing a special form of event reversal, Michael can heal injuries/wounds/afflictions/diseases and any other physical malady at the price of taking it on himself. He can heal a broken leg but his leg will be broken with the same severity. Scraps and bruises will literally disappear from the person he's treating as they open and swell on his own skin. Things like bullet wounds are also possible, however, because of the nature of his ability, he would suffer the same effects depending on the severity. Also, without removing the bullet through physical means before using his power, he would be moving the bullet into himself as well. Other effects, such as shock and internal bleeding, transfer as well. Major injuries such as these take a dozen to several dozen seconds to heal and since the effects come onto him instantly, he must concentrate through the pain and other negative effects in order for the healing process to be completed. He has been trained to a level of first-aid where he can treat bullet wounds normally, heart attack victims, and drownings. This powers effective range is two feet.

Empathy for the Healer- (Currently disabled.)
So long as Michael never intentionally causes physical harm to any living thing, he heals at an accelerated rate. Bruises are gone an hour after they form and cuts clot as fast as they opened before scaring several hours later. Broken bones can take only days to fully heal and lost blood comes back comparably fast. However, as noted above, this power is currently disabled because Michael broke the requirements for it. To date, he does not know how to atone and regain it.

History Before Arrival: Having lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada for most of his life, where his father had fled from Italy and met his mother, Michael was young when he learned about his powers. Whether it was his friendly and nonthreatening presence or something else entirely, an injured bird approached him, it's wing bloodied. Before he even realized what was happening, his desire for the bird to no longer be hurt became reality, replaced by a cut etching it's way across his elbow. Crying from the pain, the bird was scared off, and Michael ran to his mother to get his elbow treated. Before he reached his house or even stopped crying, the wound had closed, leaving both him and his mother baffled. Similar occurrences happened following the first, with even some people subconsciously revealing their wounds and pains in front of him, only to find themselves strangely healed. Michael was a smart boy, and it did not take him long to figure out what was happening. He would hang around playgrounds by himself, waiting for someone to get hurt, so he could quickly run over and use his ability to erase their pain. It didn't take long for the kids around him to notice what was happening either, but instead of shun him away, they welcomed him happily. Some of the more observant, or those who had been around him longer and noticed he took their cuts and scraps, voiced their concerns for him, but he always put them at ease. Michael's first broken bone was not his own and it was with this event that the parents found out about him. Not knowing what to make of him, they instinctively felt fear for their children and kept them away. To make matters worse, the doctor's projected time of five weeks healing time for the broken wrist was a horrible miscalculation, and Michael cut the cast off himself after five days, furthering suspicions of him. His time in public school, which had turned sour since the broken wrist incident, ended with a fighting incident, for which he was expelled, despite not instigating the fight, as if the administration was looking for a way to get rid of him. Unbeknown to him, though he noticed a change eventually, it was this fight that put a stop to his unnatural recovery rates. Years of homeschooling, supplemented with first-aid courses, aged Michael into a teenager, which was when he voiced his ambition to join the military to his parents, who were mortified. They had, however, planned ahead and saved money and so countered Michael's idea with one of their own, a school they had heard about recently in Japan...

The Biker and the Truck-
They had called out for someone with first aid, and Michael had answered. He had gotten off on the wrong stop, and was somewhere in Shinjuku. He showed them his first-aid certificate, not caring if they could read the card that was written in English. His Japanese wasn't the best, but from what he could figure, the truck hadn't been going very fast when it hit the person on the bike, who was currently laying down on the road. A small crowd had gathered around the scene and the person leading Michael had to push and call his way through. Upon arrival, Michael noticed that someone else was trying to splint the girl's leg who was on the ground in the bike helmet and doing everything in her power to stay calm. Michael could tell from her difficult breaths that something was wrong with her ribs too. He tapped the man on the shoulder and told him that he'd take over, receiving a confused look in return. Lightly seizing the splint from the man, Michael retrieved a tensor and a painkiller from his bag, before splinting and wrapping up his own leg and placing the painkiller in his mouth, which received even more confused looks from the crowd, even the victim. Sitting down next to the girl with his wrapped leg outstretched, Michael took several deep breaths, before raising his hands and concentrating.

The effect was immediate. Lances of pain shot through Michael's leg but he forced himself not to cry out or stop from smiling, his concentration hinging on his long developed pain tolerance. Michael recognized that the girl knew what was happening, whether by the lack of pain or the renewing feeling someone had once described to Michael that they felt when he used his power on them. His ribs hurt now, but the pain was less severe than Michael had expected, which he was thankful for. Soon after, the familiar feeling of a job well down washed over him, along with the painkiller. He always knew when the job was done, the same as knowing when a cup you were filling was full.

The crowd was silent until the girl got to her feet which drew a rather audible gasp from them. There was a murmur now and Michael wondered if they thought it was all some show. A part of him hoped they did, he disliked flashy displays like this, but when he had seen the victim, he couldn't stop himself from helping her. Now he shouldered her injury, which to him, was preferable. She helped him up, asking continuously if there was anything she could do for him, he politely refused, and made his way off, hoping on one foot and using anything for support. He had seen a clinic a few blocks down and the bus station was back that way anyways. With luck, he'd be to his destination before dinner. He would get his foot properly treated and hopefully get a cast, maybe have his ribs looked at by a professional. It's not like he was a doctor.

Hello, i'll be reviewing your profile today ^_^

one, two, three blast off =3 [yes to much sugar]

Keyword: check

Appearance: Check

Personality: Check

Physical Empathy- Checks

History : Checks, can you move the 'The Biker and the Truck-' part of your history under history since history after arrival is reserved once you get accepted out side that its ok.

Empathy for the Healer- This is the only problem i find, if you take out the part I bolded away I’m willing to let it pass.

So long as Michael never intentionally causes physical harm to any living thing, he heals at an accelerated rate, working out to about ten times as fast as normal humans.
