Alexandria Sakura Chandler~Sometimes the most powerful thing you can say. Is nothing at all.~ Having lived in New Zealand all her life Alexandria had grown to love exploring. Whether it was a river between two huge cliffs or a big open field that spanned for miles she'd explored most of the countryside around her rural home back near Queenstown, New Zealand. This island was no different. She didn't have her horse here which kind of made things a bit more difficult but that wasn't going to stop her. Not in the slightest. Classes had ended for the day and she'd soaked in the hotsprings that she'd been told about already, now it was time to explore. She'd ventured her way around the school for a little while until she'd stumbled across a cliff that quite literally dropped off into the ocean. It was the kind of place that gave someone inspiration and definitely helped ease a bit of homesickness. Moving to the edge of the cliff she peered over the edge curiously and looked at the water below. Part of her adventorous nature wanted to just jump off and plunge into the ocean below because it seemed like fun, but the logical half of her knew it would probably end badly. She settled for sitting down on the edge of the cliff and tugging the ponytail out of her sky blue hair, letting it fall down around her in a veritable curtain. She'd made the decision whens he was little to never cut it and the deal was she had to take care of it. Which she had. Now she had hair down to her ankles. Sometimes it could be a pain but Alexandria liked how it kind of made her unique, made her stick out. Not to mention it looked good flowing around her when she was doing a gymnastics routine. Alexandria reached into the small purse she'd brought along with her and tugged out a small unfinished braided bracelet, she liked making them. They were cute. She hadn't brought much with her beyond her tablet, a purse and her outfit which consisted of a white long-sleeve button-up shirt, her faded blue jeans with patches over the knee's and she had opted to leave her boots back at home and had walked about bare foot. She had always liked the feeling of grass and dirt between her toes, or mud. Mud felt funny but it made her smile. |

Jessy was out and about, doing normal girl things in the mountains, you know, admiring the view, watching the skies, imagining clouds as fluffy bunnies, and flying. Can't forget that last part, after all, the mountains seemed to make flying so much easier, especially near the ocean when you have amazing thermals forced right up the side of the mountain, takes most of the effort out of it so she could just fly along. It was an unusual sight, a nice, attractive American girl with bat wings and sunglasses, flying in only jeans and a tight t-shirt, she had worn sandals to the mountain, and you don't fly in sandals, rule #1 of flying, don't wear sandals while flying, you can hit pedestrians. Not many people enjoyed the mountains, especially since they actually had to CLIMB, Jessy was glad she didn't have to do stuff like that, wings were amazing. She was finally accepting her wings, so she was showing them off more and more recently, people having less adverse reactions than normal was a plus side for sure. But since few people came up here, it was a sight to see some girl looking over the edge like she was gonna jump, so Jessy banked around the mountain above her, ready to dive if she jumped, but nope, she just sat down and started doing something with her hands, Jessy, being curious as she was had the great idea to go out of the thermals and investigate. Now, most of you without wings have no idea what it is like to suddenly lose all the wind underneath your wings, the best comparison would be if the ground turned to water underneath you. So the crazy winged girl immidietely floundered as she began to fall, and let out a quick scream before she got back under control as she came down for a rather difficult landing. She landed mostly feet first, before almost gently falling onto her face as she overbalanced, cutting her forehead on a sharp rock. She jumped up and brushed herself off as nonchelauntly as she could, wiping the blood off her forehead as she pulled her wings tight against her back so the wind couldn't catch them. Before looking up at the girl through her dark sunglasses, trying not to freak out as she blushed slightly from the embarrassing landing, "Umm, Hi?" She said meekly, waving at the girl, while trying to recover what little poise she had, "Uh, how are you?" She was a little unnerved, unsure how to recover from how horrible that was, oh god, she was gonna go jump off a cliff, she'd been working on her landings for weeks and still screwed it up. Alexandria Sakura Chandler~Sometimes the most powerful thing you can say. Is nothing at all.~ Alexandria yawned a little bit as her fingers worked on weaving the threads of the bracelet together. For the life of her she couldn't braid her own hair but when it came to braiding anything else she was pretty good. She rocked her head back and forth to a song in her head and watched as the waves sloshed against the rocks far below. She needed to find a spot on the island where she could jump into the ocean from the rocks. It could be fun. Y'know, as long as there was no dying involved. Alexandria might have sat there relaxing alld ay but it was the scream that hit her ears that had her looking all around for the source. Her eyes fell upon a girl in the sky who was falling seemingly out of nowhere. Alexandria was on her feet ready to try and help her if she hit the ground too hard but then the girl managed to catch herself with the most interesting pair of wings Alexandria had ever seen. Black bat wings. Was the girl some sort of demon? She tilted her head a little bit. She stepped back as the unknown girl came in for a landing, at first it looked like it was going to be good and then the girl had stumbled and more or less faceplanted into the ground. If Alexandria could have giggled she might have but instead she hurried over and looked at the girl as she said hello. Alexandria looked at the cut on the girls forehead and frowned a little bit, it looked like it hurt. Tugging her tablet out from under her arm she would write on it for a moment and then hold it up, "I'm good. How are you? I love your wings. That cut looks like it hurts...let me fix it up for you." She didn't hesitate to reach out and tap the girls nose. A tingling sensation would travel from her nose to her forehead and for a second it would feel numb and then the pain and numbness and the cut would be gone. The same cut however would appear on Alexandria's forehead. |

Jessy was a little unnerved as the girl approached her. Most people were not nearly as calm as she was, even if she had stopped making the bracelet. So when her response to 'hello' was to run up and look at her closely, she took a small step back at the speed of it. Not to mention the silence was getting to her, the girl hadn't said ANYTHING. It was honestly starting to freak her out, and she was about to say something when the girl pulled out the tablet and started writing. She took a second to read the tablet, taking the time to mouth out each of the words so she got it right, she supposed she shouldn't be suprised that someone couldn't speak, hell this was AHS, there were people of all kinds here. "Um, I'm good, thanks for asking." Then she got to the part about the wings and a huge smile lit up her face, the girl complimented her wings, quickest way to earning Jessy's trust, "Thank you! I like your hair, I couldn't keep mine that long, too much work, but its so pretty!" Well, that an the fact that it was waaaaay too much trouble when she was flying, keeping all that in a ponytail would take a long time she figured. The girl walked up and tapped her nose. Whaaaat? She looked confused for a second until the tingling ran up to her forehead and it numbed up and stuff. The girl reached up to touch the spot and felt it healed, holy hell in a hand grenade, this girl was a healer? Awesome! Then she notice the cut appear on the girls forehead, "Oh my god, you didn't have to take that, it would've healed up anyways, I'm the one who botched the landing." She acted like it was a broken arm, why? Because the girl had taken the injury. She hadn't messed up, just gotten hurt for it. |

Alexandria Sakura Chandler~Sometimes the most powerful thing you can say. Is nothing at all.~ Alexandria was likely jsut as nervous. But at the same time she tended to be overly friendly. She had approached the girl quickly and had healed her with her own abilities. She grinned brightly at the girl showing that she didn't mind at all. She tapped the cut on her forehead and shrugged a little as she scribbled on her tablet for a moment. It didn't take her long to write out her message, she'd become quite adept at it at her other school. Years spent answering questions of teachers on it tended to train you up quite well. She held up the tablet and reached up, tugging the collar of her shirt down to reveal the horizontal scar across her throat at the same time, "That's good. I was worried you might fall before. Thanks...It's a pain to take care of sometimes. Reaching around to brush it at night can be more than a little frustrating." She held it up for a few moments and then pressed a button on the side to reveal another message since she couldn't fit all the words on the single tiny screen she usually used multiple pages. "Don't worry about the cut. I've healed worse." The reason for her showing her neck was revealed in that moment and with a shrug she turned to the cliffs nearby and rocked her head back and forth, her own cheeks were flushed a touch from the compliment about her hair. Most found it weird but she loved her sky blue tresses. She leaned down and scooped up a rock, tossing it off the cliff and then turning back to the girl as she wrote on her tablet. Holding it up she peeked over the top of it, "Admittedly...I'm pretty jealous. I've always wished I could fly or had a more active power. What's it like...flying I mean?" |

When she revealed her scar, Jessy barely kept from gasping in suprise. That looked so painfull, Jessy felt really bad now for letting her take the injury, no matter how small, a hand covered her mouth in a split second as she gaped, careful not to bare her teeth at her. She barely noticed the screen change until she began to read it, still glanccing at the scar another time. The girl tossed a rock off the cliff, Jessy listened to it fall, imagining each strike of rock on rock as it looked from above, as she had done several times. It was an odd thing, especially when she would imagine a body falling, specifically hers, as she had trained herself to fly longer, man it was a pain sometimes. She took a moment to admire the tresses, her hand slipping through her own hair, figuring she couldn't pull off that look. She read the message as the girl looked over, CUTE, before taking a moment to think, "Well, flying in and of itself is Awesome! There's nothing like flying over the world and watching little people going about there business, puts everything in perspective. On the other hand..." She started to say as she pulled a wing in close to her, almost hugging it for comfort, "Normal humans aren't usually very accepting, especially when they see my eyes and teeth. Not to mention its impossible to try on clothes, i usually have to buy them in advance since my wings don't really fit in clothes anymore." She removed her sunglasses for a moment so the girl could see the solid black orbs in her eye sockets, and after replacing her sunglasses, showed her predatory teeth in a brief smile. The girl didn't seem to judgemental, but it was still a stressfull experience to show them off like that. "Sitting in desks can be painful for me, its impossible to find a workout machine for wings, breaking a wing is always a scary thought for me, since its hard to use them if they are just bruised, broken..." She shuddered, "What I'm saying is that while it has some serious perks, it makes living a normal life impossible, some metas can get away with just not using a power, I don't really have an 'active' power per se, cause its always there, i can't turn off wings and stuff." She caught herself ranting and smiled lightly, "Damn, I got on a soapbox there, sorry to take teh spotlight and all, tell me about you, or something so i don't feel like an egomaniac." She laughed lightly. |

Alexandria Sakura Chandler~Sometimes the most powerful thing you can say. Is nothing at all.~ Alexandria watched the girls reaction and waved her hands dismissively. It really was no big deal and honestly she didn't think it was. If she hadn't of taken on the wound that her sister had suffered then neither of them would be where they were now. Alexandria never regretted anything she did, not once. Not ever. Living a life with no regrests could be difficult sometimes but it was also very rewarding and allowed her to do things she might not normally do. It was a part of who she was. She put on her best, bright white smile and reached up, running her own fingers through her hair and mimicking the other girl in a playful manner. She stretched a little bit in the process and when the girl was finished reading her tablet she stowed it under her arm for a moment and listened intently as the girl explained that flying was awesome! But it also had it's downsides like making regular life more than a little difficult. Alexandria could sympathise with being a bit of an outcast. She'd been one for quite some time back in her old school, she was an outed meta-human in the a school full of normal people. The looks they gave her were more than a little...unnerving. But that being said, she always smiled and bore it. Why be sad about something you couldn't change? She watched as the girl showed her eyes and teeth. If Alexandria thought anything less of the girl she did well to hide it. In fact, she thought it was one of the coolest things she'd ever seen. She tugged her tablet out from under her arm and wrote on it quickly. She took a few solid minutes, silently giggling at the same time as the other girl. When she finished she held up the tablet and showed it to her, "Personally...I don't see how anyone could think your eyes are weird. They're pretty actually, kind of like looking into space. And the teeth, no big deal, but I can understand how it would be difficult around humans. I know how it feels to be the outcast." She tapped a button revealing a second page of writing, "So it has it's downsides...I can understand that. But at least you're somewhere where everyone will accept you. You should lose the glasses and be proud of those eyes. Who else can say they have cool jet black eyes?" Alexandria grinned widely at the girl and then tilted her head a little bit. What could she possibly tell the girl about herself. She already showed her powers... She turned the tablet around and tapped it a few times as she pondered what to write. Moments later she'd written a message and turned the tablet back around, "Well...I erm love gymnastics, have the power to heal at the csot of my own body or lifeforce and I love horses. Not really much to tell to be honest." Edited by xXAlexandriaXx, Feb 10 2014, 09:07 PM.

Jessy blushed, both in embarrassment at her features and the compliments, it was sweet of her to say but... "I've never really thought about it like that, its just hard to just be nonchelaunt about it when people freak out it, you know?" Considering the first guy she ever showed, her boyfriend, had called her a monster and sent her running.. yea. She had good reason to be cautious, at least in her mind. She tapped the sunglasses as she said carefully, "Well, part of it is that my eyes actually don't need light to see, but bright light can blind me, so i have these so i'm not literally blinded by camera flashes or something stupid like that. Other than that... honestly they creep me out a little bit, and i look in the mirror every day, so it tends to scare people, especially kids that are used to everyone looking normal, and just having powers, I'm pretty much a freak since my 'power' is this." She used air quotes around power, obviously not sure that they were truly a power. The fact that there were aliens and robots and other crazy beings out there that looked worse was beside the point, they could explain it off as being another race, she couldn't, she was just a freak of a human. Jessy smiled, it was nice to have a somewhat normal conversation, "Well, you like horses, so do you ride them or just take care of them?" She asked, not giving up on learning more about the girl, also... there was one thing they were missing, "Oh yea, before i forget, I'm Jessy, what's your name?" She blushed, embarrassed that they had been talking without knowing each other, usually Jessy introduced herself right off. |

Alexandria Sakura Chandler~Sometimes the most powerful thing you can say. Is nothing at all.~ Alexandria offered her that bright smile and a quick wink as the girl blushed at the compliments. Alexandria had a unique way of looking at the world in that sense. Never once did she see the bad in anything, she was always looking for the good.A lways enjoying the silver lining of the cloud rather than the storm outside. She'd seen plenty of beauty in her lifetime and saw it in just about everything. She rocked her head back and forth and pointed to her neck quickly as the girl spoke about being non-chalant about it. She knew the feeling. Writing on her tablet as she listened she wondered what it would be like having eyes that were super sensitive to light. She frowned yet again and held up the tablet, "I imagine that would hurt sometimes. Ever thought about getting some tinted contact lenses made? Might be something to look into. My sister had to get them because of her photosensitivity and they can even make your eyes a different color! But you're not a freak...you're unique. You're you. If people don't like it then..." There were no further words because she looked to the cliff and the meaning was clear. They could go walk off a cliff. Alexandria stuck her tongue out quickly and turned her tablet around and began to write once more. Unfortunately she couldn't tell the girl about her farm with just her body so words were necessary. When the girl mentioned her name she raised her eyebrows and blushed a bit too. They hadn't even introduced themselves. She wrote one last thing on the tablet and turned it around, "I'm Alexandria. You can call me that or Alex if you'd like. Or my middle name is Sakura." She didn't mind what she was called. Plenty of people had nicknames for her. She pressed a button on the tablet and it would flip to a new page, "My family owns and operates a farm in New Zealand. I own seven horses and have ridden since I could walk! I kind of miss them to be honest..." She frowned visibly, it was obvious she was a little homesick. Edited by xXAlexandriaXx, Feb 10 2014, 09:30 PM.

Jessy shudderred at the thought of contacts, "I've looked into them before," She said reluctantly, "Unfortunetely, see how even the Sclera is black? I'd have to get unusually large contacts, and one, they would be expensive, and two... well, they'd be painful as hell, sunglasses are just easier." She smiled though, glad the girl was trying to help her, even if she was a little odd about doing so, "I've thought about that too.. but... its kinda hard to make friends when everyone hates you, and without a support system, the first crisis I go through would probably ruin me..." She was trying to see if she could consider the girl her friend, without outright asking her to be, she was a tad reserved when it came to stuff like this. She smiled at her name, it was pretty, then got a thoughtful look on her face, "Hmmm, I think I'll go with...Alexandria, its nice and sophisticated sounding." She said with a grin, always good to make yourself sound fancy, or at least have a really cool name like Alexandria, Jessy didn't like her name though, Jezebelle sounded like the person in the bible that would lead men astray, she didn't need any more succubus imagry going for her. Jessy felt bad for her, but smiled anyways, "Feeling homesick? Don't worry, it gets better, just make sure to find friends, but you shouldn't have any problems with that." She gestured at her wings, which were spread slightly now, albeit not enough to get caught by the wind, "Hell, I even found a flight club, although its been a little quiet, I still like being able to fly around with others, can get lonely up there." She then grinned, "Maybe you can find a way to start a horsie club or whatever it would be called." She paused, thinking, "What's new Zealand like?" And she silently wondered, where was old zealand? |

Alexandria Sakura Chandler~Sometimes the most powerful thing you can say. Is nothing at all.~ She glanced towards the girls eyes for a moment and realized the folly of her suggestion. It would be awfully hard for contacts to cover up the entire eye. She frowned a little bit and rubbed her head in embarassment. She felt bad for even suggesting it now. But she was quick to shrug it off, offering the girl a smile and a nod. She understood the girls hesitance towards friends and how difficult it must be when she had features that were so uncommon, but this school was a haven. A place to be who you really were. Tugging out her tablet she wrote on it for a moment and then held it up, "Understood. So why not start with just one friend like me?" She offered a bright smile and reached up, wiping the last vestiges of blood from her forehead. She'd stick a bandage on it when she got back to the school later, for now it was fine to just be an open wound. It wasn't that big after all and it wasn't hurting her in the slightest. Alexandria flushed a little bit and then made a laughing motion. Sophisticated wasn't a word most would use to describe her. She was just a simple farm-kid who was hard-working and wanted to reach her goals. She rubbed her head a little bit and pondered for a moment. She might as well just stick with Jessy for her newfound friend. It was a nice enough name and was quite cute in her mind. She tilted her head for a moment however and wrote on her tablet for the girl to see, "What do you want me to call you? Just Jessy?" Moving back towards the edge of the cliff she turned her back to the girl and let the wind toss her sky blue strands out to the side of her as she listened to the other girls words. Yes, she was feeling homesick. Part of her longed for her family's farm out in the countryside, surrounding by rolling hills and a beautiful river. She let out a silent sigh and tugged her tablet out and wrote on it before turning back around and holding it up, "Yeah...homesick. I miss it. I've never been so far away from home. Maybe I can call you a friend?" When she read the last part you could almost hear her asking hopefully. The idea of making a horseback riding club was an interesting one. She wondered since the school was just being built if she could get a stable built and run some sort of club. She made a note in the back of her mind to look into it and nodded enthusiastically at the girls words. That sounded like a great idea. When posed with what her home was like she glanced at her tablet. That'd be alot of words to write out so instead she tapped the home button on her tablet and scrolled through photo's until she got to a certain one. It was a small girl with sky blue hair atop a crisp white horse. The sun was setting in the distance behind her and the picture was taking from the side. It showed a well-kept farm with cows, chickens and horses. A crop of corn was growing to the left of the farm in the background and behind it you could see a winding river running through a wide open field. In the distance hills were visible. It was a wonderful shot. She tapped her chest and smiled. It was home. Edited by xXAlexandriaXx, Feb 12 2014, 03:28 PM.

Jessy lit up like a fireworks show, she'd be glad to start with just one friend, i mean, that Nobuo chick was nice, but she didn't see her but like every other day, if then. Her smile shrank a little as the girl wiped blood away, it was looking better, but it was a reminder of Jessy's screwup, "That sounds great, I'll do my best not to crash again." She said, her eyes almost glued to the wound, it looked painful to Jessy. Jessy blushed, being laughed at her statement, it was nice to just sound sophisticated, sometimes. And it wasn't nice to laugh.. but she found herself grinning nontheless, she had an addictive 'laugh'. "Jessy works fine, my name is actually Jezebelle, but if you call me that i'll throw you off the mountain." She said, winking to show she was kidding, there was no way she oculd be that mean over just her name. Although her mom always called her Jezebelle and it pissed her off so much that she... Oh right, homesickness, Jessy smiled comfortingly, "Well, I can't say i totally empathize, i was glad to get away from home, the people werent nice to me anymore. But I gotta say, it is kinda lonely." She gave her a nervous grin, still trying to nudge her in the right direction. YAY! Jessy almost jumped for joy when she asked her to be her friend, she put a wing around her in an odd version of a hug, "Of course!" She was obviously excited, "Only if I get to call you a friend as well!" She added teasingly. She watched the slideshow intently, her mouth falling open at the sheer beauty of the place, then Alexandria tapped her chest and Jessy smiled, "That place looks amazing. I'll have to find someway to visit someday, if flying wasn't to tiring i'd try to fly there tomarrow." She shook her head, "My home isn't anywhere near that pretty, we have Country, Blues, and Rock& Roll, but our scenery isn't nearly that pretty." She started wondering what New Zealand looked like from above, was probably pretty chock full of great thermals since it was near the ocean, oh wow, that sounded so great. |

Alexandria Sakura Chandler~Sometimes the most powerful thing you can say. Is nothing at all.~ Alexandria noticed the girl eyeing the wound on her forehead. She smiled a bit and waved a dismissive hand. She'd gotten used to pain over the years. She'd fallen off horses, taken other peoples wounds and had injured herself on her family farm plenty of times. She wasn't immune to pain, but it surely didn't bother her as much as most other people. It was just a cut, just blood. She stretched a little bit and wrote something on her tablet, changing the color of the text as she did so and then holding it up. "Crash all you like. You've got your own healer now!" She winked in a playful way and then turned towards the edge of the mountain as the girl said she'd throw her off the cliff. She looked over her shoulder, holding back her sheet of her for moment. Alexandria had not laughed at the girl to insult her, mostly just because she didn't herself in such a light. She scribbled away on her tablet for a few moments and glanced over the cliff thoughtfully before nodding and holding it up. "If I do...and you throw me. Will you catch me? I might just like that." The idea of flying around was an enticing one to her, but of course she was only joking around. She turned back around and pushed her hands into her pockets, keeping the tablet beneath her arm as the girl explained that her home life hadn't been all that great. She frowned at the thought. Home was supposed to be a haven, a place of safety. She wondered what it must be like to not have such a place. Being as animated as she was Alexandria was quick to give the girl a tight squeeze in return. It wasn't a lovey dovey type hug when it came from her, it was sort of just a friendly gesture. You learned to interpret things a little bit different with Alexandria the more you were with her. It was the same with the quick and polite peck on the cheek she gave the bat-winged girl a moment later before she went back to scribbling something out on her tablet, "I'd be happy to be called your friend! I don't have many yet at the school." She made a laughing motion as the girls mouth hung open at the pictures of her home. Maybe from living there for so long she didn't appreciate the beauty quite as much anymore, but from an outside perspective others must really think it was pretty. She rocked her head back and forth for a moment and then pulled up her writing application on her tablet and began to write, "Well...maybe when vacation comes around you can come and visit. We're always happy to have guests. I imagine your home is pretty too. Every place is pretty in it's own way, no?" She raised an eyebrow to accent her question. |

Jessy smiled, glad the girl was supportive but did point out, "But i feel bad that you have to take the pain for my screwup, i'm the one who didn't land properly, why should you suffer for it!" Her guilt was evident on her face, she was really upset over such a small injury cause she didn't like hurting others. She winced at the thought of catching her, "Umm, maybe when my wings get stronger, right now.. its a lot of work just to throw myself through the air and i don't even weigh 100 pounds. Think of it like this, you can probably walk a mile easy, but could you do it carrying another person?" Her weight was really low, which may seem hard to beleive, since she was unusually tall and has bloody wings on her back. But she didn't think anything of it, it was just another weird thing about herself. Jessy knew the difference between a lovey dovey hug and a normal one, she had figured out that the girl was straighter than a light pole, but she was a sweet girl, and was glad to be her friend. She was glad the girl was pretty touchy-feely, cause Jessy liked being able to actually touch people who didn't run from her. Jessy then blushed a little, "Me either, I'm still a little shy because of the people back home." She left it at that, not sure if she wanted to expand or just let it stay in the closet. Jessy smiled brightly again, "Yes!" She exclaimed loudly, "I'd love that! It looks like such a pretty place!" Her smile lessened as she thought of home, "Yea, i guess, the mountains are nice, but back home, the beauty is the same thing that drove me away, the beauty is the Southern Pride with you can see in damn near everyone. They are stubborn and almost chivalrous, even though they don't call it that, we still wear the flags from our civil war, which we lost over 100 years ago, and we still refuse to let it go." She shook her head, "But its a double-edged sword, they aren't accepting of change at all, and being too different leads to being a social outcast." She shook her head, removing the foul thoughts from her head as she stretched her wings in a small breeze that was starting up, smiling again, "Besides, the thermals there suck, and its hard to fly without getting shot at." She winked, showing she wasn't serious, and grinned again, back to being happy. Oh winged girl problems, what would you be without them? |

Alexandria Sakura Chandler~Sometimes the most powerful thing you can say. Is nothing at all.~ Alexandria shrugged a little bit and reached up to touch the wound gently. It wasn't that bad, just a bit bleedy was all. She wrote something out on her tablet and held it up for Jessy to see, "I suffer, so that others don't have to. You made a mistake...perhaps. But if I bear the consequences you lose that fear of making the same mistake and perhaps are better for it. I really don't mind. I gave up my voice for my sister...I give up my lifeforce to heal others. It's waht I do." She really was a selfless creature who put everyone else before herself. Alexandria peered over the cliff at the water down below and nodded. Perhaps in time the girl would have strong enough wings and she'd be able to fly with her sometime. She made a note to keep the idea on the backburner and then sat down once more on the edge of the cliff, this time she hung her feet over the edge and swung them back and forth. The warm air blowing about felt nice on her legs. That was the benefit of a tropical island she guessed. It was never really cold, maybe a touch chilly at some points. But never cold. She leaned back on her hands and looked up at the sky. It was funny how wrong Jessy was. Alexandria was not in fact straight at all. She'd known since she was little that she had more than a passing interest in those of the same sex. She smiled a bit and nodded in understanding. She wrote something out on her tablet and held it up for her to see, "It'll come in time. Maybe I'm just overly friendly so it's hard for me to understand being shy." She shrugged her shoulders heavily, she was tired. It had been a long day. Alexandria clapped her hands together excitedly. She'd never had many friends over to her home in New Zealand and the idea of having one sounded fun to her. She grinned and wrote something on her tablet and then held it up, "Slumber party all around! We can be all girly!" She winked a little bit. She was a bit tomboyish herself so it was obvious she was joking more or less. Noticing the girls obvious feelings towards home she was quick to shift the subject and leave the subject alone. She stood up suddenly and clapped her hands together. She was quick to scribble something out on her tablet and hold it up. "Enough about home! Tell me...beyond flying what all do you like to do?" She turned and began to walk along the cliffs, balancing precariously on the edge as she walked and waited for the other girls response. Edited by xXAlexandriaXx, Feb 12 2014, 08:45 PM.

Jessy could sort've understand it, she was still suffering for the mistake she made by hiding everythign as a kid, she'd alienated herself and had like no support group when the fall did come. She nodded, then paled for a moment as something hit home, "Hang on a second!? You pay your life force? Oh my god, so that just took a day off your life or something?!" If she was any more horrified, she would be an advertisment for scary movies. She could agree with her statement, "Yea, its hard for me to understand how some people are so friendly with everyone, just cause i'm shy. I think its nice how your so friendly to me even though its the first time we've met." She smiled warmly at her, even if she wasn't able to see her, Jessy went and stood behind her, letting her wings fill with the air, although not enough to take her off the ground, that'd be scary, even for her. Jessy laughed, "Yes, we can discuss which pants make my wings look fat and all that jazz." Heh, that was funny, make her wings look fat. Although to be fair, she did look at her wings again to make sure they hadn't suddenly grown fat, but of course, they were the skin, bones, and muscle as usual. Jessy sat there and thought, and thought, and thought... damn, she did a lot of flying. What else was there that she... "Ummm.." She blushed, "I'm a bit of a nerd, I play a lot of video games, watch alot of anime..." Yeaaaa, Jessy's nonextistant social life was exactly that, nonextistant. "Oh! I read a lot, its just about the only nonelectronic hobby i have." She gave a self depricating grin. "Flying really is the biggest thing i do, some people have hobbies in aviation, I like flying." She motioned towards Alexandria, "Well, what about you, other than horses, what do you do." |

Alexandria Sakura Chandler~Sometimes the most powerful thing you can say. Is nothing at all.~ Alexandria let her eyes widen as the girl seemed to freak out when she mentioned the toll she paid for healing. But the girl had misinterpreted and Alexandria hadn't explained it too well. She waved her hands quickly to calm her and wrote something out very quickly on her tablet and held it up for her, "Sort of. Don't worry. I only give up lifeforce when I heal other peoples wounds without taking them on myself. Healing you didn't cost me anything but a bit of blood on my forehead." She offered an apologetic smile and rubbed her head a bit in embarassment. Then again, she didn't mind losing a few hours of her life to heal someone. Alexandria blushed a bit at the compliment about her friendliness. In truth she had been like that ever since she was tiny. She looked down at her tablet and wrote upon it for a few moments, "My mother says I've always been a social butterfly. She used to say I could see the good in someone no matter how bad they might be. I just don't see any reason to be mean to people, what good does it do? She looked over the cliff, she might not be able to see the smile, but she certainly could feel the warmth behind it from her newfound friend. As if to accentuate Jessy's joke, Alexandria patted her non-existent belly and made a sad face as if to say she was getting so flabby! She winked and smiled lightly as she twirled about on the edge of the cliff and walked along. She listened to the girl explain that she was in fact a nerd. Alexandria made a giggling motion, she'd never played much in the way of video games and she'd hardly ever watched any television so perhaps Jessy would have to educate her in the future. She was busily writing on her tablet as she walked along the cliff and listened. Alexandria turned and began to walk backwards, "Video games, Anime and electronics. Interesting, you'll have to show me sometime. We never really had much in the way of electronics in our house....unless you count the milking machine or the pasteurizer." She smirked a little bit, she already knew her friends real passion lay in flying. She imagined the feeling was so 'freeing'. When she asked what else she did Alexandria figured she ought to just demonstrate rather than explain. She wrote something on her tablet and then tossed it to the girl. Alexandria would then jump into the air into a backflip and land on one hand, balancing precariously on the edge of the cliff. Her upper body and arm strength were impressive since she was able to hold her entire weight on her one hand, from there she bent her arm and sprung herself into the air and went into a small tumbling routine comprised of several flips and ending with a spinning landing on her feet. She held up her arms as if to say 'tada!' and smiled at the other girl. The tablet she'd tossed to Jessy only had a few words, "I do gymnastics. Some day I want to be a professional Gymnast. Okay, good, she wasn't giving up days of her life to heal a little headwound. God, that'd be the worst power ever, but she didn't say that out loud, that'd be insensitive? She still was unnerved about the blood on forehead deal, but finally decided to let it drop. Jessy thought about a couple people who had no good in them in that moment, "Well, some people just aren't worth being nice to in my book, if someone wrongs me or my friends, well..." She gave a little grin, "lets just say i'm more than a little vindictive, even about little things." Yea, she was a vengeful bitch, to be honest, but that was too blunt for her to flat out describe herself as, of course, being less social, she rarely had to do anything, her reputation back home had been pretty nasty though, considering the revenge for name-calling usually involved eggs falling from the sky. Heh, good times. She laughed at the girls antics, neither of them were fat, Jessy would have to look like a blimp to weigh over 100 lbs. So she only joked about weight issues. Jessy looked at her in shock, "Wait, so you couldn't even look up funny cat pictures to make yourself happy? Wow, you lived a sheltered life." She was partially kidding... partially. She wasn't nearly that bad most of the time, she could get along just fine without funny and cute kitties in funny situations. Jessy was terrified when she was tossed the tablet, what if she dropped it! She almost fumbled it and looked up to see the girl on one hand on the edge of the cliff, she froze, oh god, don't fall don't fall don't fall, please don't let suicide be her talent. Then the girl started doing a bunch of jumpy, flippy things, really Jessy was amazed, she started to wonder if she could get her... NO. No, bad thoughts, she's just flexible! She looked down at the tablet as she finished, read it and sighed in releif, "Okay, wow, that was pretty awesome, but for the sake of my heart, try to warn me before you balance off the edge of a cliff. I almost had a heart attack." Still, she handed the tablet back and applaud her as she winked to show it was a joke, "That takes a lot of talent, you've been doing it awhile haven't you?" It was almost rhetorical, but also a probe to see how long she'd been at it. She shifted her wings and wondered if she should show off too, but honestly, she's nervous as hell every time she flies, and doesn't want to be pushy.. |

Alexandria Sakura Chandler~Sometimes the most powerful thing you can say. Is nothing at all.~ Alexandria walked along, holding her arms out on either side of her to keep her balance properly. The last thing she needed to do was to take a swan dive off the cliff and be nothing but a splatter on the rocks and a non-existent student in the history of AHS. She turned her head and looked over her shoulder as Jessy explained that some people just weren't worth being nice to. She couldn't disagree. She remembered a situation with a pair of bullies the other day that she had to agree, did not deserver any kindness. She nodded her agreeance and turned so she was walking backwards and raised an eyebrow at the shocked look on Jessy's face. She could understand though. Alexandria was just one of those girls who'd prefer to be riding across a field at full gallop while the sun set at her back rather than sitting in front of a screen in her room. That wasn't to say she didn't enjoy electronics though. She had at LEAST forty games on her little tablet, which she scooped up and began to write on and turned it around to show the girl. "Horses and Gymnastics keep me smiling. When I'm sad I usually find my way to a field and relax with the horses, or go to the gym and practice for several hours. But I enjoy electronics as well, I just haven't been exposed to them much. I've lived a very rural lifestyle up until the last few years." She shrugged her shoulders becasue in her mind it was no big deal. She was slowly warming up to electronics more and more because her roomie happened to be a big movie buff and had about a billion of them. After pulling off her moves she smiled brightly and blushed a tad. She didn't perform in front of many people very often, she was surprisingly a bit shy when she was doing her routines. She accepted the tablet back and flanced over the edge of the cliff. She rubbed her head a bit and then scribbled on her tablet with the tiny stylus, "Sorry...I didn't mean to. At least I know if I fell you might be able to save me though! As for your question, I've been doing it for..." She counted on her fingers for a few moments and then wrote on the tablet. "Three and a half years. All of which was before I came to AHS this year. It was my sister who kind of bumped me in the direction of gymnastics." |

Jessy nodded, glad she wasn't some girl who hated electronics to the core, she couldn't live without her computer. "Rural is okay, although I don't know how you can make it through high school without the internet, sounds awful." Jessy didn't have to use the web on EVERY class. Just.. ya know, most of them? She wasn't super smart, but anatomy and stuff liek that always stuck in her head. Probably cause she could relate to the bird skeletons. Jessy nodded her head, "Yea, although it probably woulda been a close shave if you did fall, when your flying its not that far to the bottom, and i'd have to catch you and somehow slow our fall enough so we didn't die." She didn't add that broken bones would be almost a certainty, "3 1/2 years huh? I've only been taking my flight seriously about that long, before that i was too focused on hiding them." It was understandable that she wasn't completely comfortable with her wings as a kid, some kids hate their hair, Jessy hated her wings, although she now wouldn't be able to live without them. She took a breath, "Well, you got to show off a little, my turn." She gave her a smile and, stepping to the edge of the cliff, fell backwards. She kept her wings tight to her back, falling as fast as she could through the air towards the bottom, and just before she hit she spread her wings and all her downwards momentum threw her forwards now as she turned and came back up, corkscrewing once or twice as she hit the peak. The smile on her face was evident as she turned around in midair, falling towards the cliff where Alexandria stood, flying towards her in particular, as if she would hit, before pulling up and managing to slow her fall to a mere light drop onto the ground. "Phew, that's a rush." She was breathing heavily, but gave a little joking bow. |

Alexandria Sakura Chandler~Sometimes the most powerful thing you can say. Is nothing at all.~ Alexandria smirked a little bit over her shoulder and raised her eyebrow. She might have explained it poorly. Alexandria might not have had that much exposure to electronics but that didn't mean she didn't make use of them when she could. In fact, if it weren't for the internet or electronics she really wouldn't have that much in a way of communicating with other people beyond sign language which she was no fan of. She tugged out her tablet from under her arm and began to write on it quickly before holding it up for her, "Just becuase we have none at home doesn't mean I haven't used it. Google has saved me on more than a few highschool projects." She grinned knowingly. Alright, so perhaps falling wouldn't have been a very good idea. The fact that the two of them might end up splattering like pancakes on the rock was not a pleasant thought. She glanced over the edge of the cliff and made a note not to take a swan dive until Jessy's wings were alot stronger! She turned around and walked backwards once more as she listened to her speak. So they'd both been focusing on their talents for about the same amount of time it seemed. Perhaps Alexandria could help Jessy a little bit with her wings, she knew how to strengthen muscles quite well and she imagined wings were probably no different. She scribbled out a message on her tablet and held it up quickly for her, "Sounds like we are in the same boat then. You should come to the gym at the school some time, I could help you strengthen your wings some. I know lots about strengthening muscles and stuff and maybe I could teach you some gymnastics? She smiled hopefully at her and then stepped back as Jessy decided it was her turn to show off. She watched in anticipation as her friend readied herself. Alexandria ran to the edge of the cliff quickly as Jessy dropped off of it and watched in awe as she pulled off the very impressive aerial stunts. She clapped her hands wildly to make noise for her and raised her hands to cheer her on. She was really gooda t it and her friend surely had some talent in flying. By the time she was coming in for a landing Alexandria was already writing on her tablet, her mouth hanging open in awe, "Wow! That was amazing Jessy! You're really good! With the amount of strength and reflexes that takes you'd make a good gymnast too. And you even had a better landing than last time!" She smirked a bit at her joke. |

Jessy sighed in releif, for a minute there she was worried that she was dealing with a technologically impaired person. So hard to bootleg videos when they don't even know what pirating is. Although she realized she probably could have realized that she wasn't from her everpresent tablet. "All hail Google! Master of high school projects!" She jokingly exclaimed, before laughing again at her silliness. She raised an eyebrow momentarily, she could barely land on her feet, but the girl wanted to try and teach her gymnastics, she chuckled, "Sure, but if you try and teach me gymnastics, be warned, I have all the grace of a drunk elephant on the ground." Really, she did, wings got in the way when your trying to do situps, walk in a crowded hallway, lie on your back for leg lifts, really more stuff than you'd expect, not to mention her center of balance was much different than your average person's, since she had wings. Jessy smirked at the realization that wings were always a problem, or a solution. Jessy brightened up, "Thanks!" She said blushing slightly, "Hey! I don't always faceplant... just you know, about half the time..." She blushed again, her face almost beet red as she let her wings hang by her sides, "To be honest, its easier than it looks, it just takes a little practice to not turn my wings too much, the only real time reflexes are important while flying is when a flock of birds tries to attack you, those things are devils." She shuddered, which you could find amusing since most birds weren't big enough to hurt you. Unless they began to peck at your face and wings and you crashed because of it. Jessy had learned early on to avoid the damned thngs. |

Alexandria Sakura Chandler~Sometimes the most powerful thing you can say. Is nothing at all.~ Alexandria stretched a little. The day was coming to it's end and she was growing more than a little tired at this point. Part of her wanted to just build a shelter and sleep under the stars tonight. But she wasn't sure what the school rules on that were. She turned her eyes to Jessy and giggled in silence and then raised her arm to salute google. It had all but saved her life on more than a few school projects, that much was for sure! Turning to the girl she stopped suddenly and walked around her, holding a hand to her chin thoughtfully as she looked Jessy up and down quite literally, walking around her in a big circle until she stood in front of her. Alexandria pulle dout her tablet and scribbled out a message for her before holding it up, "Well..Dumbo was cute. So Drunken elephants can be cute! But seriously...I think I could work with you. You seem like you could have some grace buried deep inside that feminine shell of yours! We'll make a lady of you! Mud-masks and movies at my dorm tonight!" She was of course joking...a little bit, but she had a feeling she might be able to teach her a little bit. She held out her arms and playfully re-enacted Jessy's previous landing by leaping into a soft bunch of flowers, face-first and then sitting up and grinning a bit as she picked up her tablet and wrote on it. She climbed to her feet slowly and held it up, "That's about what it looked like to me. Practice makes perfect though, no? It looks difficult. That's for sure. If I taught you some gymnastics you might be able to improve it more. Balance helps with everything...quite literally!" Alexandria looked back towards the school for a long few moments and let out a sigh that was void of any noise before scribbling out a few final words on her laptop and holding it up for Jessy, "Erm...thanks for hanging with me today. It was really nice to meet you. I hope we can be good friends in the future. I think it's about time I head back to the school though, I'm pretty tired. Want to hang out tomorrow? If not, no biggie. Keep those pretty eyes of yours shining, kay? Alexandria looked down at the ground and kind of dug her foot into the dirt as she held the tablet up, Jessy had been really nice to her today. She had a feeling they would be good friends. |

Jessy snickered, Mud-masks, yea right... people really did that? She had never even thought of it, she had considered going to a spa but never did, maybe cause her wings might scare the massager people. She rolled her eyes jokingly, "Yep, I'll bring the sappy romance movies." Heh, her watching sappy romance movies. She was more likely to bring Lord of the Rings, extended edition. Jessy thought about it, why the hell not? "You think it can help my horrid landings? Then hell yes! I hate landing cause its about 50/50 shot on me landing on two feet, and i hate getting dirty from horrible landings." Like when she fell into a mud pit cause she overbalanced. That was a bad day to wear a white t-shirt. She shuddered at the thought of that now brown t-shirt, she'd loved it, it was such a classic. She smiled happily, "Definetely!" She started walking towards the cliff, "Oh, you have a phone right?" She hoped so, it was the only reliable way to contact her, since there was no law about texting and flying, she did it all the time. She tossed her a card with her number on it, why did she have cards with her number? Cause she always forgot it, and had no idea where on her phone it was stored. She carried a couple in the hopes she'd find friends who could use them. "Just text me where you wanna meet!" She said brightly before jumping off the cliff to fly around a little more. |

Alexandria Sakura Chandler~Sometimes the most powerful thing you can say. Is nothing at all.~ Alexandria grinned brightly. Her mother had taken to her a spa alot back home because she worked at one so Alexandria knew the ins and outs of them. Perhaps she'd drag Jessy to one with her some time to just relax, it would likely work wonders for her wings. She grinned a bit and for a moment it was like she'd read the girls mind unintentionally because she scribbled out a reply on her tablet and held it up, "Nah...just bring like Lord of the Rings or something! She peeked around the edge of the tablet and smirked. Jessy struck her as the type for such movies. Did she think it could help with her landings? Alexandria didn't think so, she figured she knew so. She nodded quickly and wrote her reply on her tablet quickly before holding it up, "I definitely think so. If there is one thing I've learned more than anything else between horseback riding and gymnastics. It's that Balance is key to ALOT of things. I have a feeling with the proper techniques you could go from fifty fifty to landing a hundred percent of the time! Or at least landing a touch more gracefully." Alexandria winked and gave her newground friend a playful bump of her hip. When the end of their trip was coming she nodded. She had a phone but she didn't use it often. Her hand snatched the card out of the air and Alexandria raised her eyebrow curiously before looking at it. It contained the girls number and she blushed at the though. A girl had just given her her number. She giggled quietly in her mind and lifted her tablet, she opened up her 'phone' app and added Jessy's contact information into it and was quick to send a text message to her through her tablet. "Meet me in the gym tomorrow at like...noon. We'll see about training some balance into you. Nice meeting you Jessy. Thanks for being so friendly." She hit the send button and then turned, walking back towards the school in silence. Today was a good day it seemed. (You can make a new topic, or I can! What would you prefer?) |
