The sarcastic one

Upon learning what happened to the incoming ship, all hell broke loose. Younger students were sent home, accompanied by teachers or parent volunteers. The older students were asked to attend a meeting in the Auditorium later that night. What they didn't know...was that it was a briefing.

Campbell and several of the other teachers, once many of the young and weak were cared for, could now address the rest of the school. When they walked out onto the stage, they were bombarded immediately.

"My sister was on that ship!" One girl called out.

"How can you say we're safe here!"

"Where were they taken!?"

"SILENCE!" Campbell shouted over the loud, noisy crowd. Her booming voice filled the room. There was still chatter, but most of it had died down.

"You might think we were not prepared for something like this, but we were. The enemy knows us better than we think. They either have an inside source into Searchlight...or they anticipated our moves better than we can them..."

The students finally calmed. Still fuming and angry, but listened to what she was saying.

"They are shadows, creeping like rats, while decrying us as monsters. If we wish to continue living the way we do, our arms open to the lonely and distraught metahumans of the world, we must prepare...but also be prepared for times like now. We will not hide. We will fight. We will get our family back."

She paced across the stage, hands behind her back.

"We have scouted several locations as to where they might have taken our people. I need four groups of five. You will be accompanied by a teacher or adult volunteer. Once you have determined that that is where they are...we will show them Searchlight is not for the pickings. We will make them regret and realize they have hurt us for the last time..."

Several students were standing up, eager to sign up.

"If you are ready...please speak to Mrs. Zedd..." she pointed to a woman standing to the side of the stage with pen and paper. "So she can inform your family. Anyone else...prepare to fortify the school in case of another attack..."

The one who everyone thought would have been loud and up in arms was one of those who was surprisingly among the quietest. It wasn't often that one would find AHS' sport celebrity sitting totally quiet, not drawing attention to himself, and with a grim expression on his face instead of a chipper or cocky smile.

Catch wasn't one of the older students, nor was he an upperclassman. But once word got out, one of his teachers pulled him aside and informed him of a meeting that would be held tonight for the upperclassmen while the younger ones were sent home. ... Of course he didn't give a single shit about that, and informed her of that in just as many words. So she spelled it out for him that the meeting was... more than just a meeting.

Catch was a younger student, but he had some power to him. His upbringing and family connections weren't all that secret among the faculty, and they all knew that whenever Catch could be bothered to set himself to do it, hell itself couldn't get in his way. ... Literally. Someone had tried that. The lengths that he would go to to help his friends weren't any sort of secret, nor was the fact that he had been one of the first demanding a violent retaliation on the ones responsible for when the school first got bombed. Said teacher knew that he would be a good card to have in the shuffle when it came to getting things done.

Catch himself... was shocked, but not surprised to hear about what had happened with the boat. He wanted to believe what Violett had said about how if they didn't retaliate, the world would come to accept them. He wanted so bad to believe that, and so he went along with it. But in the back of his mind, he knew that by not retaliating initially, they were only showing themselves to be weak and thus more open to be attacked again.

Of course people knew who he was here, but if they didn't, he would have blended in with everyone else... another face in the crowd, totally unlike the boy who liked to stand out everywhere he went. He sat among the crowd, listening intently but with impatience. Roma, Zoe, Phoenix... and many others that he knew, be they acquaintances, classmates, buddies, fans... they had been captured. And he did not want to imagine what they were doing to them. Or what they would get around to doing if they took too long here.

"If you are ready...please speak to Mrs. Zedd... So she can inform your family. Anyone else...prepare to fortify the school in case of another attack..."

What wasn't any sort of big surprise was that Catch was the first to rise from his seat and go back to Mrs. Zedd. There was no decision for him to make, nothing to consider. He had made up his mind, and had only been sitting through the briefing to be told where to sign up.

He was in his ready gear. ... Which really wasn't much. It consisted of a pair of tennis shoes, jeans, a plain black shirt, an unzipped windbreaker jacket over it, fingerless gloves, and a Bayrays baseball cap. However, he did carry a sports bag on his back that seemed to clink and clatter and rattle when he walked. He worked occasionally doing maintenance and construction work for the school, so he had used his spare key to get in and raid one of the tool sheds. Hammers, hatchets, chisels, wrenches, shears, lawnmower blades, screwdrivers, knives... any number of things that someone would not want thrown at them... especially by someone who could turn a normal thrown item into an artillery shell.

He approached Mrs. Zedd, and took a deep breath while he looked away. Like trying to keep his fury at the situation in check was a struggle. For once, he realized the authority of the teachers and respected it... because he didn't trust himself to be smart enough and thinking with enough clarity to not screw things up. So he would trust in their judgment this time. He wouldn't try to push his own plan or anything.

"Evening. I'd like to be put on the team you expect to get the most done. I swear I'll pull my own weight and then a lot more."

A small young child scooted among the gather students, he wasn't big, he wasn't strong, and truth be told he lacked much of a formal education. Though his mind was a strategic engine. He knew about survival, how to hunt, to track, and he held that pure determination to protect. This was Finn. He was garbed in his normal Owl inspired attire. While most of the young students were ushered off to their parents, he had no where to go. Searchlight was his home, and these people that surrounded him were his family.

After the being directed towards the table Finn was soon there. Standing behind Catch, his arrows rattled in his quiver. "I can help trust me." Finn insisted as he scrawled his name in a sloppy script.

In the back of the room stood two men, one dressed in a brown and red trench coat, a scoped rifle adorning his back and several handguns visible under the coat. The other was dressed in a flowing robe, his head bare to the world and in his hand was gripped a bound monk's spade, the blades sheathed in brown leather.

When the effects of the capture were discovered, the parents and guardians of the students were informed. This meant that Trelao was told of the incident. The school knew of their odd little family's situation. They were not of this world. The call was originally just meant to inform them that the school was taking care of everything, that was not enough for Trelao. Who told the school that he would be taking part in the rescue.

Kaito was in a similar boat. He had vowed to Oshiro that he would protect his team. He didn't like going back on his word. So here stood the otherworldly warriors, prepped for war.

To say a fury burned within Kenneth O'Toole right now would be a vast understatement. Normally Ken could be a righteously angry person when properly motivated, and when his berserker state was triggers running for the hills and taking cover was a smart idea.

But this? This was something far worse. People were taken, people he cared about, people he loved. He would go through hell and back for them, and there were people that needed to pay for it.

Surprisingly, he was beaten to the punch to be the first one to step forward, and then he saw who it was. Unsurprisingly, it was Catch, and even with the terrible conditions Ken couldn't help but smile just a little bit. For the hard times and wraps on the head they gave him, Catch was always a standup guy. Reasons like that were the cause for his trust in the boy, both as a close friend and as the one person he entrusted his adoring little Nekojin sister. There was no way he'd leave Catch to handle this alone, especially when their little family was on the line.

"Count me in too. Got the feeling I'll help lay down some hurt on these bastards."

A strong hand patted Catch on the shoulder, as the scarred American stood next to his friend, a rather large and wielding sledgehammer hanging in his other hand. The combat experience he had from serving with the League would come in good use, and with the girls on the line, his focus couldn't be any clearer. And if there was even a single hair harmed on Zoe's head, he personally planned to tear out the spine of whoever hurt her.

"Time we show these guys how us Motor club fellas lay down some pain, eh Catch?

Rin may have been young but he'd be damned if he was going to miss out on saving those that needed help. He was nervous and scared. "M-Maybe I should've taken the chance to go home." He turned around to walk out the door but stopped at the entry way. He wanted to leave but in the pit of his stomach, he knew it was wrong. 'And Just where in the hell do you think you're going?' Cried a voice out in his mind. It was female and definitely not his imagination. It sounded like it was directed towards him so he turned around, expecting to see someone there but...no one he knew was behind him. Rin thought about it some more and realized, he knew no girls at this school. Slapping his wrist against his forehead he sighed. "I figured no one would call out to me." he said taking another step. 'DON'T YOU IGNORE ME!' the voice said quite loud this time. The world around him seemed to go black as the red wisp from his lantern Necklace floated up in the form of Argenta. She looked pissed, as she folded her arms and tapped her foot in annoyance. "Wha-What's going on?" He said as he looked upon Argenta. "Aren't you-" he didn't get to finish his sentence as Argenta stuck her hand up. 'Yes it's me. Argenta. Now why the hell are you walking away from this?' "Because I don't want to die." Rin replied.

Argenta slapped him on his cheek. 'That is such a selfish thing to say. I didn't know that my spirit belonged to some one as selfish and cowardly as you.' With that said Rin returned to the auditorium still at the entrance. Rin now had a choice and he would choose to fight. HE rubbed his cheek which was red and moved up on line right next to Catch. "I want to join in too. I can't sit around and watch as people are hurt." It seemed as if determination and bravery were a disease, because it was affecting even Rin, who was usually timid and shy.

A young woman with long blonde and eyes of the bright green of anger. Wisps of breeze seemed to keep blowing around her, a sign she was having a bit of trouble controlling her temper. She wore a knee-length blue corduroy coat, unbuttoned so it showed the armour she wore underneath, armour unlike anything seen in this world. She walked through the auditorium until she reached Kaito and Trelao. Tsubame wasn't any more likely to stand on the sidelines than them. Two of her friends were in trouble and she was going to make the people responsible pay.

She nodded to her team mates. "So, were you able to reach any of the others? We'd work best if we were all on this. And Riku won't forgive us if he's left out in saving Nagisa and Yua. Of course, if he actually bothered to answer his phone he could have come here with me." Folding her arms over her chest, she frowned out at the crowd gathered. "Think these kids will actually be any good when the real fighting starts?" To someone who'd gone through a war, all of the students looked like young kids to her, even though she was only a few years older than most of them. If it hadn't been for the fact she'd turned 18 just before she and the others had arrived in this world she would have been attending the school herself already.

Raiya signed up quickly, then moved off to one side. Sighing, she rested her elbow in her palm as she tapped her chin. She hoped Rhama wouldn't be too annoyed at her for joining in. But she just couldn't stand by and not get involved. A former SEARPH agent, she had experience in dangerous situations and a lot of combat experience. Whoever was leading the assault would need as many seasoned fighters as they could get. Not to mention the fact that her access to highly trained dogs that excelled in tracking could turn out to be invaluable.

"Oh Raiya, there you are. I knew you wouldn't be far with something like this going on." Turning her head, Raiya smiled over at Nadia. Thanks to her cousin, she had become good friends with Nadia and her two dragons, both of whom were currently ride on their mistress's shoulders.

"Hi Nadia. I didn't know you were at school today."

Nadia shook her head. "I almost didn't come in. I have a major assignment due in two days, but I had an important lecture. Can you believe it? Those guys have really taken things too far. Wasn't destroying our first school enough?"

Raiya shrugged. "We don't know for certain that it's the same people. Now that metas have been exposed, even if most of the wider public doesn't completely believe it, there's bound to be a number of anti-meta groups popping up. We're a threat to them after all. What good's an army when a single person could have the power to take it out? Considering the fact they kidnapped the students rather than killing them outright, my best guess is that they wanted to do experiments on them, and the school was the easiest target for large gatherings of metas. After all, why waste resources snatching metas up one by one when there's a convenient number all gathered in one place? And if that is the case, it means we have a good chance at being able to rescue them, if we can find them."

(A number of students had joined already, students who felt very strongly about the rights of meta-humans. Already, they were exercising a retaliation in varying ways. This particular plan attracted four additionals, the kind who were competently-skilled even without powers. None of them were graduates, all four were highly-dangerous. They went thusly...)

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

NIKO AND WINGER

(The Renzo brothers were busy in their room. The two Reploids were cybernetic beings who were both living and machine at once. 'Born' for military action, these two boys were snipers. Niko, the younger of the two, was the specialist in sniping. Winger, the older one, preferred disabling shots before finishing. Aside from their on-board weaponry and abilities, the two of them were putting on dark combat fatigues with helmets, and pulling out a pair of sniper rifles with ammuniition. If you must know, they had obtained these their their contact/caregiver, the former organization man known as Jack Styles. The two brothers looked at each other silently after they were done. The Livewire Project - the project that was their old fighting team - was back on the move.)

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

NATSUKI MANRIKI

(She wasn't really a student here, but as soon as she heard the news...and her people were generally in places to hear such things...she decided to get on the bandwagon. Natsuki was a Diclonius, and her species was one that was generally known to be oppressed for its nature. She had spent her whole life being trained to be more in control than her fellow Diclonii. There was no way that some group of idiots were going to mess that up She stepped out of the teleporter pad. She wore a low-profile combat vest under her black shirt, which was also under her black flak jacket. There was some padding also added to the camou-pants she was wearing. Natsuki had removed her favorite earing and had a pack on her back in addition to the big plasma rifle that rested on her shoulder. Extra sidearms, just in case. She found out where she needed to go and got going.)

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

SUNSHADOW

(She heard about it from a friend here went to the back of the Den with some stuff. Twenty minutes later, she was flying towards Searchlight in the Devouring Moon Den's stolen Vertibird. Like the Third Street Saints, Sunshadow's group tended to take everything that wasn't nailed down. And after that deal with the Sasaki Organization, they also had a great deal of hardware to throw at a situation. Ergo, the blonde werewolf was hauling a load of military-grade bang-bangs to the party. It would land in the courtyard shortly before Natsuki's arrival - shocking the girl when she saw it - with Sunshadow exiting with her form-fitting combat suit on and her second David Tennant-style longcoat on...because she had a feeling this one was going to be ruined. She held an assault rifle, she had magnums, grenades, and a combat knife on standby. She went to the auditorium just after the Renzo brothers.)

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

(If you have to ask why these four were hella-prepared before there was even an official briefing, it was because they had all just lived through too much NOT to see it coming. Niko and Winger were snipers, plus they had been in the Big Reset debacle. Sunshadow had been fighting for at least a couple of years, and well-understood prejudice. Natsuki was career military of some sort. If she didn't expect this in some sort of context, it would mean a severe drop in her competency. So, there we are. Four students, chomping at the bit to get to work. As they listened, and the offer to sign up was made, they were among the standing immediately.)

"If you are ready...please speak to Mrs. Zedd... So she can inform your family. Anyone else...prepare to fortify the school in case of another attack..."

(Those four went over.)

Winger: Umm, our guardian is Jack Styles. He receives messages through Ackbar's Emporium in the Shiinjuku Back-Alleys.

Niko: If you could tell Aeria Vanderburg...I'd apprecate it.

(Natsuki recognized the Renzo brothers, for reasons unspecified. Then, she stopped Sunshadow for a moment.)

Sun: What do you want?

Natsuki: You park that dual-prop outside?

Sun: Yeah, I figure it could help. Why?

Natsuki: Just wondered. I was kinda' surprised.

(Something smelled off about Natsuki to Sun, but she couldn't place it. Couldn't be a threat at this time, but something about her...she wasn't sure about. In any case, the she-wolf signed up next.)

Sun: Just tell someone from the Devouring Moon pack. They'll all get it, eventually. That includes my father.

(That left Natsuki.)

Natsuki: Okay...you'll have to just get word out to send the message to a Cornelius Jack. Once one of my people picks it up, it'll make its way right to 'im, no question about it. Nobody messes with dad, not if they like living.

Kendra stood in the back of the auditorium as she listened. She was not too happy because of the circumstances. Had they been on time, Felicia, Adara, and herself would have been on the hijacked ship. As it was, they were late and the two girls had decided to fly and carry Kendra. Because they hadn't know anyone on the ferry they didn't know it hadn't arrived. Once the school called for a meeting, she had sent both girls to her apartment. They'd be safe there.

The blonde haired pixie stepped up into line when they called. She wore black jeans, red shirts, and leather jacket. A black hat sat on her head and a guitar was strapped to her back. Black combat boots were on her feet. She didn't mean to dress for a fight when she got up this morning. It was just her normal clothes.

"Kendra Truing," she told them her name.

Two others who were in volunteering stepped in line. What had been a trip to pick up a few things for someone had turned into a mission. Or that's what Dawn thought as Storm drug her to sign up. It didn't help that when she called Raina, the woman had told her to help the school. So here they were.

"Storm Rainey. Dawn Russia. Reporting for duty!" Storm said when they were asked their names.

Dawn looked around and saw a few people she recognized. She knew them from different areas but they all had one thing in common it seemed. Dealings with Raina Sasaki. She sighed and ran her hair through her white locks as Storm got them all straightened out. Dawn wore black leather pants, shirt, and boots. Within the outfit held her weapons. Knives and guns. Her green eyes swiveled to the blue and pink haired girl with amber eyes.

Storm was looking around at everyone that had gathered. They had made sure to get on the groups that were heading out to find the kids that were taken. Raina was actually sending a few others to help protect the school. Storm looked completely out of the normal. She wore a purple and white Lolita costume with purple boots.

"Hey! I see a lot of people we know." Storm was off chattering about those they knew. She caught Kendra's eyes and waved. The blonde had been training there in the evenings with them so they could be ready for what had been asked of them by another person.

"Kendra!" Storm said as she bounded up to the pixie. "How are you doing? How's Adara?"

Kendra nodded and waved at the girl with a grin. "She's doing well. Her and Felicia are holing up in my apartment for the time being."

"Oh! I see. Are you participating?"

"I am. We would have been on the ferry had we been on time," Kendra told them. "What brings you two here?"

Dawn nodded and looked around some more.

"We were coming to grab something from Sera's room and got caught. Plus Raina told us to help if there was a problem."

Call me cute again...

When the call went out to inform the parents of the situation at hand, due to the odd family structure of the G0 'children' Riku found out about the happenings, for lack of better name, the thing was, that his answer to the call was, 'Sorry... wrong number', it had to be a prank... Right? Nagisa of all people captured? Yua... okay, maybe Yua, but not Nagisa, and they where both some of the finest warriors of their land... Stubborn, arrogant Riku just went back to fixing up the garden for now...

Someone who didn't need a call to appear was a man of great power, yet for a moment he felt powerless, by the time he made it to the Auditorium Miss Campbell had given the announcement, he joined the rest of the staff in the podium and could instantly feel the daggers and questioning of his alumni, "May I?" he asked Miss Campbell before taking the mike.

"I believe everyone here understands the situation Miss Campbell has done a wonderful job at making this concise" he took a deep breath taking in the flurry of emotions in the room, "In my years as a principle I've seen many things, I've had many losses, but in the end, I've been committed to protect you all," he moved away from the mike, but his voice was still heard crystal clear, "You may not know me as an aggressive man, but anyone one who attacks my home, my children, my people... Won't go unpunished"

"Evening. I'd like to be put on the team you expect to get the most done. I swear I'll pull my own weight and then a lot more."

Donna Campbell watched Catch as he was the first to sign up. A look of determination on his normally chipper and smiling face. Her eyes flicked to the bag clutched to his back. She knew he had taken the tools from the shed...she just hoped he was prepared to share. Her hands were behind her back as she stood, watching the students line up. It was sad really, that the metahuman community could be so powerful and yet constantly squashed and outnumbered by their human counterparts. As she watched them line up, her eyes drifted to Mori. Perhaps they were right, the humans, the metahumans building an army. Well, it was more like a chicken or the egg conundrum. Humans become paranoid of their abilities, try to destroy their 'army', Metahumans retaliate, build an army. An army of teenagers. Donna called down to Catch.

"You'll be with me then..." She said with a small nod.

"I can help trust me." Mrs. Zedd looked at the small boy, Finn, with a quirked eyebrow. Without a word, she allowed him to sign up. Perhaps she could place him in a noncombat position. She made a note next to his name.

"Count me in too. Got the feeling I'll help lay down some hurt on these bastards."
A large boy with a sledge hammer handy approached. Campbell noticed he was friends with the Catch. She nodded to Mrs. Zedd, who made another notation beside his name. Apparently, they were both evaluating the lot as they approached.

"I want to join in too. I can't sit around and watch as people are hurt." Despite the fear in Rin's voice, the look in his eye, the worlds spoke differently. How can one be brave when they're afraid? That's the only time one can be brave.

Campbell's cold eyes drifted toward the back of the auditorium. There was a group of adults lingering toward the back. The aliens, right? From what she remembered hearing among teacher gossip, they had two members of their group who attended the school? The nurse had indulged them around the water cooler that the doctor discovered they had been related, and they had never known. They were warriors weren't they? They'd come in handy then...

"Umm, our guardian is Jack Styles. He receives messages through Ackbar's Emporium in the Shiinjuku Back-Alleys." Mrs. Zedd quirked an eyebrow once again at the request. Back...alleys? With a shrug, she wrote it down. She also took note of their weapons, adding another mark beside their names.

"Just tell someone from the Devouring Moon pack. They'll all get it, eventually. That includes my father." Mrs. Zedd nodded, complying.

"I already texted Shaleen..." There was a gruff voice off to the side. Once Sun turned, she'd see it was Calcifer. He looked in rough shape. They moved out of line. His arms were clutched to the opposite arm, to hide the tremor in his hands. His knuckles were busted up, as he had punched a wall upon learning of Willow's capture...again. He should have known something like this was going to happen and his girlfriend had just been the start. Now Phoenix was taken as well. He would get them both back...but Willow had come back battered and broken...he couldn't handle seeing her like that again. His reddened eyes glanced at her weaponry.

"Ya go' some fa me?"

A group of girls arrived, one after the other. "Kendra Truing." As well as, "Storm Rainey. Dawn Russia. Reporting for duty!" That last part brought a sad smile to Mrs. Zedd's face. Quite enthusiastic for a mission such as this.

Miss Campbell watched as students and adults signed up or spoke off to the side. Her head turned when the Principal, Mr. Mori approached the front of the stage. A hush fell over the room.

"You may not know me as an aggressive man, but anyone one who attacks my home, my children, my people... Won't go unpunished"
There was a roar throughout the room as the Principal made his short but articulated and heartfelt speech. Campbell nodded in agreement. They had already lost so many innocent children when the school was attacked prior. They had taken every precaution trying to give the children freedom and safety. Still, these people were cunning, they were always one step ahead...well they better be well prepared for the onslaught of punishment headed their way.

Campbell stepped up beside Mori.

"We will get our family back. Once you've signed up...make your arrangements...we will prepare and notify everyone of their assignments..." She and the other teachers moved off stage to discuss.

"I already texted Shaleen..."

(Sun turned to find Calcifer standing there, looking in bad shape. He'd seen some hell already, mentally and physically. Someone had given the fire-flinging punk werewolf a beating, and judging by the slight tremor...that wasn't all. Yes, she could see that. She didn't say anything or make any sort of sign of noticing, but let's just face it... That anecdote about animals smelling fear? Fear releases a chemical into your sweat, so when you perspire, it iis possible that something like a wolf can know you're intimidated. Something clearly got to Cal, but as they were stepping out, he was still in the game, it seems. Good thing, too. They'd need that.)

"Ya go' some fa me?"

(She nodded at this.)

Sun: The Vertibird's in the courtyard. I loaded it with a selection of the Den hardware, just in case.

(Then, from the faculty again...)

"We will get our family back. Once you've signed up...make your arrangements...we will prepare and notify everyone of their assignments..."

Sun: Point of order, teach! There's a military-grade aircraft in the courtyard, choking with guns and ammo. Anyone needs a piece in case the bads fool around with powers, ya come and see me.

(With that, she led Calcifer out there to get first pick. The rear hatch opened and he could follow her in to see the crates therein. Lots of room in these birdies, actually. Sun began to pull out stuff to see what piqued his interest.)

Sun: Okay, so we've got my basic street stuff that I picked outta' shops like magnums, uzis, and sawed-off shotguns. Probably a few Glocks and stuff in there too. However, these are military assholes, so I'm only taking magnums as backups while I sport one of our fine assault rifles. The ones we got are pretty basic, scoped with single, burst, or full-auto. I've got grenades, of course, both the throwable and launchable kind. They're sporting fragmentation, incendiary, and stun-gas. I went for some stun in case the action's too close to our people. In that case, we just knock them all out and everything's cool. I've got a couple basic sniper rifles, buuut I think you're more interested in getting in the thick of it. I've got clips for all the guns, mostly regular with some armor-piercing. Also got shotgun slugs if pellets aren't the best idea right now. And of course, lastly...I have some more combat knives.

(She loved working with the Sasakis.)

Tsubame watched as one after another students signed up. Well, the solidarity and loyalty of the students definitely couldn't be questioned. Fighting experience, that could be questioned. Sure, the students likely would get fighting classes, but there was a big difference between a controlled fight and real battle. Folding her arms, she shifted her weight onto one foot more than the other. Then frowning, she pulled out her phone to check for messages. Noting one from Riku, she listened and her face darkened. A few taps had a curt text that went along the lines of Get your ass to the school or I destroy your garden was sent in return. She's adapted to the technology of this world easily, so could text pretty fast. She knew how attached Riku had become to the garden he was fixing up, so even if he didn't believe that something had happened to Nagisa and Yua, he wouldn't ignore a threat to it.

Nadia gave one of the straps of the harness on her back a light tug to reposition the scabbard of the two swords riding crossed on her back. Like Raiya, she was an expert at fighting without powers, though they'd developed the skills for very different reasons. Nadia had developed her sword skills to allow her to fight monsters, while Raiya had honed her martial arts skills to help learn control and to feel strong. Then she'd just done it because she really enjoyed it.

Point of order, teach! There's a military-grade aircraft in the courtyard, choking with guns and ammo. Anyone needs a piece in case the bads fool around with powers, ya come and see me.

Glancing over at Sun's voice, Raiya gave Nadia's arm a tap to indicate that she should follow and then headed out after Sun. Walking over to the open rear hatch, she knocked on the side. "Hey, got room for a few passengers?" The three wolf-dogs she'd left outside had walked over to stand by her. "Oh, and I'll take a sniper riffle and two Glocks."

Nadia lifted a brow. "You use guns?"

Raiya shrugged. "SEARPH taught me. I'm not that fond of them, but they get the job done."

Kendra nodded as Campbell asked them all to make arrangements. Adara was doing that with the apartment. Her and Felicia would crash at it until the school was safe. Adara was also to tell anyone who came by and asked where to was to tell them either a cover story for normal people or the truth for those she trusted and knew about her. Though when it came time, she headed outside and leaned against the wall watching the wolves and others looking in the air craft.

Dawn and Storm headed outside to look at what Sun brought. They didn't need send word to anyone because they were sent here to help. If Raina could come, she would have been there but Dawn and Storm were her volunteers for the mission.

Dawn looked around and saw Rays. She barely knew the girl and only knew her by looks. However she knew Sun more so she stepped up and looked at everything the pack leader brought. She smirked and crossed her arms.

"My those look familiar," Dawn said softly.

"Raina gave us permission to offer artillery if it was needed but it seems you got it covered Sun!" Storm said her saw Raiya and waved. "Hi Raiya."

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

Rin would listen to Campbell's next order and follow it with great haste. He left from Catches side and made his way towards the infirmary. He'd open up the cabinets and take a couple pain-killers, bandages, and some peroxide. He'd carry this to his room now as the others were gathering weapons. Though the teachers might have thought ahead, Rin wanted too be on the safe side. There was no telling what would happen if everyone just went in full force and attack.

Rin emptied his laptop bag and separated the bottles of peroxide and pain-killers. He then gathered the bandages and threw them in there along with some gauze. He double checked everything and was sure he had not forgotten anything. He placed the bag on his bed and went to go change his clothes. Opening his closet he then changed into his track suit. A long skirt would just impede upon his movement.

The next step would be to get a weapon. Rin's Necklace was the only Weapon he really had. A medic would have to protect himself and his patients. He wasn't into guns, and such, they seemed too violent. Rin would decide upon it when the time came. For now Rin slung his bag over his shoulder and rushed back towards his peers.

"You'll be with me then..."

Catch gave her a nod and tipped his cap to her, his often-expressive eyes showing her a deep sincere gratitude. "Thanks." And not much else needed to be said from the boy. He was all business now. One could usually tell how serious Catch was about something by how little he had to say.

"Count me in too. Got the feeling I'll help lay down some hurt on these bastards."

.................

Thank. God.

He knew that voice instantly before the hand even touched his shoulder, and he let out just the slightest of relieved sighs. Catch hadn't connected with enough people on a deep enough level here that he could fully and undoubtedly trust them in a situation like this. But here was one of the very few who he could.

Catch turned around to his friend, giving him only a nod. Catch was serious, furious, and focused. He had no words for him right now, but Kenny would understand his lack of a warm reception for no one at the moment.

"Time we show these guys how us Motor club fellas lay down some pain, eh Catch?

He gave him another nod. "Yeah." And this time he brought up his fist for a bump. His right hand, as he had learned that to be the only hand he should offer around the hulkish American.

Surely there was a short moment of epic-coolness as their fists "bumped". Likely in the form of an impact that could be felt through the ground and surrounding area. Or maybe something just barely short of the epic handshake. Because really, what else could possibly happen when teenagers with titan-strength pump fists?

Either way, fact was that Catch was glad and relieved that Kenny was there. He was one of the only ones that he could trust enough to fight back to back with here. Not just power, but in terms of character and reliability too.

Catch retreated back to the side of the room and occupied a spot on the wall, pleased to have Kenny's company if he chose to accompany him, even if he wasn't saying a whole lot at the moment. The announcement of someone having guns was noted. And Catch had no problem with guns, no moral blocks against them. The fact was... he just wasn't a good shot with them. Barely even knew how to operate one. Was operate even the correct term for using a gun?

He would wait while everyone prepared themselves, feeling that he had prepared himself as much as he needed. And right now, as much as he hated it... waiting was all he could do.

... Except that he flipped open his phone, frowning down at it. No messages, no texts. Well... that was good in a way. He had told everyone not to bother him... perhaps a little rudely in the heat of the moment. He had even had a pretty bad argument with Violett who had been adamant on coming with him. She wanted to help... but he would have none of it. He'd said some pretty hurtful things to her that maybe he shouldn't have, but at the moment he hadn't had the time or patience to explain everything logically at great length.

"No! You are staying HERE! You're only going to get in my way and I don't need to have to worry about babysitting you!"

... that had been the general message before he slammed the door and left out. He might have even been a little meaner than that, but definitely not nicer about it.

He dialed her number... and listened to it ring. She didn't answer, for any number of reasons that he could think of. Her voicemail message chimed out, followed by the beep... and he just remained silent, quiet, not knowing what to say. Finally...

"... I'll bring them back, Violett. And..." he said in a lower, almost apologetic tone. But it didn't lack any sort of his determination. "... I lo-" Silence again, then he sighed. Snapping the phone closed.

... Waiting. It was still all there was to do at the moment. So many important things to him always seemed to come down to waiting.

"Think these kids will actually be any good when the real fighting starts?" Kaito was the first to respond to the blond. "I doubt they will have the stomach for it all to be honest." He was blunt and to the point, his mind already going into full combat mode. Shutting down any emotional connections that he had. Separate himself from everyone and accepting the possibility of casualties.

Trelao however, had a keen eye on the students who massed the staff offering aide. "I wouldn't doubt their resolve, or their ability." He began shifting his staff slightly. "This is more than a simple kidnapping, this was an attack on their very way of life." He took a breath and closed his eyes. "That being said, I do hope they can go in this seeking justice and not vengeance."

"Screw that!" Kaito exclaimed. "These people deserve to burn. Every last one of them. Imagine if it was like this back at home? All of us would be seen as monsters, and you think those kind of people deserve justice. Kaito turned confront Trelao. "Everyone deserves justice Master Oshiro and it is not our place to be judge, jury, and executioner." Kaito shook his head turning to Tsubame. "When this all goes down, I want you watching my back. At least I'll know you'll have the nerve to put these dogs down." And with that Kaito approached the teaching staff to get more information on their strategy.
